Chapter 181: Wind Rises and Clouds Surge

The Golden Lion was bleeding profusely, desperate and filled with bitterness and unwillingness; he had been utterly defeated in a head-on battle.

He had now lost all his power; his chest was pierced through, and his heart was shattered, making survival impossible. He coughed up blood with every breath, and blood gushed from his chest. His crimson blood, which contained a faint golden glow and vibrant life force, was now flowing out uncontrollably and profusely.

"You are strong, but you will eventually die," the Golden Lion said in a low voice. He believed the old Lion King would avenge him; a truly enraged old lion would be unstoppable!

"Huh?" Chu Feng suddenly looked up and saw the Vulture King in the distance spreading its wings and soaring into the sky. With the Golden Lion's utter defeat, the group of onlookers were terrified out of their wits. How could they not be afraid when a Lion King, thought to be invincible among his peers, was about to die?

Earlier, they had believed the Lion King would ultimately prevail, and that his battle strength would skyrocket once he went mad, eventually killing that human. To their surprise, although the Golden Lion did injure Chu Feng and make him cough blood after going berserk, the lion himself suffered an even worse fate, being instantly blasted to death. That Demon King Chu was even more terrifying when enraged!

"Where do you think you're going!" Chu Feng roared, charging out. But before leaving, he delivered a heavy blow to the Golden Lion, planting his left foot on its forehead to prevent it from reviving using a secret technique. He had heard from the Yellow Ox that there were too many strange methods across different worlds; some secret techniques could even bring a person back to life days after death, pulling them entirely from their grave. On the current Earth, it was hard to say how many beings had inherited ancient powers or what secret techniques they possessed, so he had to be cautious.

"Run, Demon King Chu is here!" The most terrified were the quasi-kings, who had firmly believed the Golden Lion was invincible and waited for him to slaughter that human. They never imagined such an outcome.

Of course, some smarter quasi-kings, being quite cunning, had already hidden themselves far away, fearing that the human might win and then hunt them down. However, these cunning quasi-kings had underestimated Chu Feng's strength. With his current powerful spiritual perception, he could directly sense the vigorous life force emitted by any powerful creature within several miles!

Chu Feng accelerated, becoming faster and faster. His presence arrived long before the sound, as he directly crashed into several quasi-kings. This was no different from a direct assault, incredibly domineering. His king-level physical body was terrifying; charging at nearly four times the speed of sound, it was like a divine mountain crashing into them.

Bang! Bang! Bang...

Screams echoed one after another. Even powerful quasi-kings couldn't withstand Chu Feng's domineering attacks; some died, some were injured, sent flying, scattering blood in mid-air. Not to mention them, even a small hill in his path could be shattered by Chu Feng with a single kick. His current physique, enveloped in mysterious energy, was ridiculously powerful and frighteningly strong.

"Clang!" Chu Feng summoned his flying sword, slashing it towards the Vulture King high in the sky. He was fast enough, having already pursued it all the way. Unfortunately, the Vulture King flew out of the flying sword's attack range. The crimson sword, like a red flood dragon, circled in mid-air before flying back.

The Vulture King, too, broke out in a cold sweat. It had originally thought it could escape at any time, calmly and unhurriedly, never expecting that Demon King's speed to be so astonishing. This was significantly faster than his speed during his fight with the Golden Lion, making the Vulture King's blood run cold.

"Chu Feng, by killing the Golden Lion today, you are doomed to not live long! I will inform the old Lion King and ask him to emerge immediately and take your life!" the Vulture King yelled, simultaneously accelerating its flight; it was truly terrified.

However, on the ground, Chu Feng remained calm. He continued to sprint wildly, his speed astonishingly fast, smashing through any vegetation in his path. He was still in pursuit, with no intention of stopping. The Vulture King was filled with dread, realizing it would have been killed if it had been even a step slower. It fled west, simultaneously gaining altitude to get away from the ground.

"I will tell everyone that you flattened the Vatican and roasted the White Bear! Lord Schiller and the Arctic King will also make their move then, joining forces to kill you! You'll have nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, and nowhere to be buried!" the Vulture King threatened fiercely.

However, it soon felt horrified, noticing a range of mountains below. It shrieked, desperately flying higher and higher, even trying to change direction. But it was too late. Chu Feng charged forward at undiminished speed, despite the terrible terrain. His body glowed as he shot like a bolt of lightning up a high peak, then launched himself into the air.

At that moment, Chu Feng, radiant and gleaming with brilliant light, ascended like a projectile, reaching a height of 800 meters above the mountaintop. And he was still rising, using that momentum as if flying! The Vulture King was scared out of its wits, desperately soaring higher, as if its soul had left its body. The flying sword grazed its body, sending chills down its spine.

Fortunately, it still didn't strike. However, the next moment, its body tensed, its heart pounded, and it was filled with dread, feeling as though it had been targeted by a prehistoric beast about to devour it whole. The void trembled as Chu Feng hurled the Adamantine Scepter. He had originally not wanted to use this great weapon; a mere Vulture King wasn't worth staining the Adamantine Scepter with blood. But seeing it about to escape, Chu Feng had no choice but to throw it.

The Vulture King exploded in mid-air; its lower body completely vanished, turning into a bloody mist. It shrieked as it plummeted from high above. After reaching a certain height, Chu Feng also began to fall. He didn't even use his spiritual martial arts to control his descent, simply crashing onto another mountain peak. Soil and rocks scattered, and dust billowed.

However, Chu Feng was unharmed. After breaking three shackles, his current physique was extraordinarily powerful; falling from such a height didn't injure him at all. Furthermore, he directly leaped down from the peak, landing on the ground with enough force to create a deep crater, shattering trees and scattering soil and rocks.

Chu Feng quickly ran to find the Adamantine Scepter. This weapon could not be lost, so to prevent any accidents, he immediately rushed towards it. There were no surprises; under his powerful divine perception, the Adamantine Scepter was retrieved. It was pure white, without a trace of blood, smooth and warm like suet jade.

Chu Feng put it back on his wrist, then found the Vulture King. It was in a terrible state, not yet dead, but half its body was gone; it couldn't possibly survive.

"Don't kill me... please save me." The Vulture King was terrified, trembling and covered in blood, begging Chu Feng to spare its life.

"You're truly afraid to die. In this state, even an immortal couldn't save you," Chu Feng said, shaking his head. He took out his communicator and snapped a few photos of it.

The Vulture King shuddered. Even as it faced death, it felt a tingling scalp, wondering if this Demon King Chu would also roast it and then post the pictures for everyone to see.

"Don't worry, I won't eat you," Chu Feng said. He could post the pictures to deter the Eastern Expeditionary Army and crush their morale, but a vulture was definitely not good to eat. Such creatures preferred eating rotten corpses, which disgusted him.

Finally, the Vulture King breathed its last in despair and terror, utterly dead. Chu Feng quickly rushed back, dealing with the injured quasi-kings who hadn't died. Two cunning ones had hidden, but he found them as well; they couldn't escape their fate. With his powerful divine perception and near-quadruple-supersonic speed, the quasi-kings were far too inferior.

When Chu Feng returned, the Golden Lion had reverted to its true form, completely dead. Chu Feng moved the corpses of all these creatures—the Golden Lion, Jackal King, and others—into the canyon. Among the quasi-kings, there was even a human, who had been responsible for leading the way. He felt no sympathy; these powerful beings were all intent on attacking Kunlun. Their so-called "Eastern Expedition" was nothing more than an invasion. Indeed, some king-level beings even compared this Eastern Expedition to the historical Eight-Nation Alliance's conquest of the East, feeling arrogant and smug.

Soon after, an enticing aroma of meat wafted from the canyon. Chu Feng had skinned and cleaned the Golden Lion, then boiled its meat. It was extremely delicious, with a faint golden luster.

"The old lion threatened me. If I release these photos, will it go berserk and come straight here to kill me?" he muttered to himself. He also had photos of the Vulture King, Jackal King, Giant Dog, Earth Dragon, and Gray Eagle that he hadn't released. If he were to upload them, it would likely cause a sensation across both the East and West. One could also expect the Eastern Expeditionary Army to be thoroughly frightened. With so many king-level beings dead in the Misty Canyon, even the Black Dragon King and the Arctic King would be alarmed and unable to sit still.

"I'll choose the right moment to release them. At the very least, I need to deal with the incoming vampires first."

Chu Feng began to enjoy his meal. Lion meat was truly a delicacy, especially from this Golden Lion, which had broken four shackles and contained an unimaginable amount of vital energy. This was the strongest creature Chu Feng had ever eaten! If the outside world learned that the Golden Lion, hailed as invincible among its peers, had died and been eaten, it would undoubtedly cause an unprecedented shockwave. Because even a group of king-level creatures like the Jackal King, Vulture, Earth Dragon, and Giant Dog combined couldn't compare to a single Golden Lion. Its death was sure to trigger a massive storm!

Next, Chu Feng roasted the Jackal King. Although its body was dismembered, it didn't bother a true gourmand. "Only that group of vampires is left. Once I deal with them, I can simply dust off my hands and leave." Chu Feng opened a bottle of red wine to celebrate, enjoying his feast of beast kings. If he were to immediately publicize the scene of his meal, the whole world would probably fall silent for a moment, stunned into disbelief.

"Great God from Jerusalem, when will you make your move? We've been waiting for you, hoping for new delicacies to be released.""Mighty One, surely you weren't scared off by that old lion, were you? When will you update the food rankings?"

Outside, some individuals, eager to stir up trouble, left comments under the Eastern Expeditionary Army's power rankings, summoning the legendary mighty one from the holy city of Jerusalem. To everyone's surprise, the mighty one actually responded immediately!

"I've been overeating lately, so allow me to digest. I'll go hunting again soon."

Many were startled, which then sparked countless discussions: was this mighty one really planning more actions?!

"That should be enough, right? I can't stay here long. Should I detonate it now?" Chu Feng murmured to himself.
