Chapter 174: 轰动

Chu Feng suppressed the urge to wipe his mouth as he fled towards the seaside. He was on the verge of breaking, desperate to turn around and attack the two king-level beings. The hunger gnawing at his stomach was unbearable, like a fire consuming him from within.

"Is that really him?" Ovid, tall and imposing, his blue eyes gleaming with surprise, exclaimed. Wasn't that man supposed to be dead?

The Vatican had already announced that Chu Feng had touched a forbidden barrier and died in the Sacred Medicine Garden, leaving no remains. Everyone knew about it.

Furthermore, this had caused quite a stir in the East, as Chu Feng was well-known there.

Now, he had reappeared. Ovid's tall frame tensed instantly, radiating a dangerous aura like a ferocious beast. Breaking the sound barrier, he accelerated to his maximum speed and gave chase.

This person had to die; Ovid needed to silence him permanently.

Otherwise, Chu Feng's reappearance would expose a flaw in the Vatican's narrative. Having declared him dead, his emergence in Jerusalem would undoubtedly cause a massive uproar and lead to very negative consequences.

Ahead, Chu Feng also increased his speed, no longer "concealing" himself. Surpassing the speed of sound, a terrifying roar echoed as he shattered the ground beneath him, fleeing rapidly into the distance.

"My dear Chu, don't run. We won't hurt you. We can sit down and talk; the Vatican welcomes your presence," Ovid called out, a smile on his face and a gentle tone in his voice. Anyone unaware of the true situation would have thought him incredibly kind.

Meanwhile, the White Bear bared its snow-white fangs and chuckled silently. Its body grew larger, its pristine fur gleaming like silk as it charged forward.

"Chu, stop running, we mean no harm," Ovid continued to call out, though the expression on his face had grown slightly cold. As he ran at supersonic speed, his light golden hair streamed behind him, and he radiated a terrifying aura like a lion.

His words were amicable, but he harbored a murderous intent. Chu Feng had to be eliminated; he could not be allowed to live and be exposed to the world.

"It's even better that he's not dead. I love the feeling of tearing things apart, smashing a king-level being to pulp with one slap—that's a true sense of accomplishment!" The White Bear snarled savagely, its snow-white fangs looking even more chilling.

Ahead, the sea and sky merged into one, the vast blue ocean seamlessly connecting with the azure heavens, creating a magnificent panorama.

The golden sand beach glowed under the dazzling sun, radiating a palpable heat. Yet, it was nothing compared to the fiery intensity within Chu Feng. Upon reaching this spot, he abruptly halted.

Chu Feng stood still, turning to face the two king-level beings behind him.

"Chu, it's truly a pleasure to see you again. I was quite sad, thinking you had died in the Whale King's belly," Ovid said, his teeth gleaming white as he smiled.

Chu Feng understood Ovid's mindset; this was clearly a mocking demeanor. His calm expression and smile stemmed from a deep-seated contempt for Chu Feng.

Chu Feng harbored no goodwill towards Ovid. The man was too hypocritical. He had initially led Chu Feng, the Yellow Ox, and the Black Ox on an enthusiastic tour of the divine city, only to then drop his pretense, turn hostile, and pursue them.

"Ovid, do you truly believe you can kill me?" Chu Feng asked calmly, his gaze fixed on him.

Ovid simply smiled.

The White Bear, however, looked ferocious. Its teeth, sharp and chilling like gleaming knives, filled its gaping maw, radiating murderous intent and immense energy fluctuations.

Its body glowed like a silver sun, flickering with light. It spoke in a chilling tone, "Do you think you can survive? A few days ago, we hunted you down like a stray dog; today, we can still kill you with ease!"

"Chu, I forgot to tell you, I've broken the fourth genetic lock. It's a wonderful feeling, like standing on clouds and looking down upon all living beings," Ovid said, his golden hair fluttering without a breeze, radiating a sacred glow and a confident smile.

"Me too!" the White Bear added. Its enormous body, brimming with vitality, stood upright, looking down at Chu Feng with a playful sneer. "You probably broke the second genetic lock, right? That's good; otherwise, tearing you apart wouldn't be much fun. Oh, I forgot to mention, we also learned a breathing technique."

The White Bear laughed, openly arrogant and cruel, looking down at Chu Feng. In its view, even if this human had also achieved a breakthrough, it was insignificant.

They believed their transformation was more profound and that their power had increased more rapidly after acquiring the breathing technique, enough to suppress Chu Feng.

However, the White Bear noticed that Chu Feng showed no fear. Instead, he was staring at it, constantly... wiping his mouth!

It paused, bewildered. What was wrong with this human? Had he been scared senseless, making such a strange gesture?

"Chu, don't be afraid. Come, tell me, what exactly did you experience? How did you escape from the Whale King's belly?" Ovid smiled. He also found Chu Feng's actions odd, attributing them to nervousness.

Chu Feng swallowed with a gulp, then wiped his mouth again, finally making them understand what he was doing.

The White Bear froze. Was this human wiping drool?

Then, it flew into a rage. This young man from the East was staring at it and making such a gesture. He deserved to die.

No one had ever dared to show it such an expression before. Was it treating the White Bear as prey?

"Roar!"

The White Bear was furious. That human's gaze was too unsettling, incredibly intense, staring at it with drool almost flowing from his mouth. This was simply outrageous!

By now, Chu Feng no longer needed to hide anything.

With his back to the sea, the bright sun and blue sky overhead, he stood on the golden beach. Gazing at the robust, fleshy bear, he felt everything was wonderful. Whether it would be braised or steamed, his mouth watered profusely. Finally, his unbearable hunger could be satisfied.

Unable to tolerate Chu Feng's gaze, the White Bear attacked directly. Its paw, larger than a millstone, swatted at Chu Feng with a loud boom, shattering the beach and sending dozens, even hundreds, of meters-high waves crashing from the calm sea.

This White Bear was incredibly ferocious, immediately going for the kill. Chu Feng's expression had enraged it; never before had anyone dared to view it as prey.

It continuously struck, demolishing the beach, making the sea boil, and sending waves soaring high into the sky. The scene was astonishing.

However, it couldn't touch Chu Feng at all. His movements were too fast, making the bear feel a bit dizzy.

Nearby, Ovid retreated, a chill running down his spine. He felt a slight shiver of horror because that speed was terrifying, much faster than both him and the White Bear.

Chu Feng was not in a hurry to strike. Instead, he was using the combat to adapt to his own state.

Satisfied, he finally launched his attack, punching forward. The White Bear immediately cried out. It couldn't block the punch, being engulfed by a terrifying light and subjected to a violent impact.

With a thud, it reeled backward, blood spilling from its mouth and nose.

"Roar..."

The White Bear was both startled and enraged, yet also unnerved. The power of that punch was simply too immense!

Ovid saw it clearly, his hairs standing on end. He now understood that Chu Feng's current strength was terrifying, giving him a very ominous feeling.

"Chu, what level have you truly reached?" he couldn't help but ask.

Chu Feng held up three fingers. His stomach rumbled even louder as he advanced towards the White Bear.

"Impossible! You only unlocked one genetic lock before. How could you possibly unlock two more in just a few days? It should take time!" the White Bear exclaimed in disbelief.

At the same time, its large paws glowed even brighter as it channeled the mysterious energy within its body, preparing for a desperate fight.

Chu Feng, with a solemn expression, warned it, "Don't wave those bear paws around aimlessly; they're my ingredients!"

"Awooo!"

The White Bear was enraged. Chu Feng was treating it with far too much disdain.

Earlier, it had looked down upon this human youth, but now, it seemed their roles had been completely reversed.

It unleashed a nearly divine ability, its palms glowing as it swatted at Chu Feng.

However, Chu Feng ignored it. With a whoosh, he shot past and intercepted Ovid.

Ovid's armor glowed. He hadn't even joined the fight, instead turning and fleeing decisively the moment he realized something was wrong.

Boom!

The air exploded as Chu Feng, moving at nearly four times the speed of sound, instantly caught up and blocked his path.

"Chu, I bear you no ill will; you've misunderstood," Ovid said, forcing a smile that was uglier than a grimace. He never imagined that his mission to Jerusalem would lead to such a predicament.

After unexpectedly encountering Chu Feng, he had intended to silence him and eliminate a potential threat to the Vatican. Now, it seemed he had simply walked into his own death trap!

Chu Feng had nothing more to say. He simply raised his fist and struck.

Ovid's golden hair flew wildly, and his eyes sharpened. He, too, became determined: if it was unavoidable, then he would fight!

However, the next moment, he felt an excruciating pain. After his palm collided with Chu Feng's fist print, it felt as though it had been shattered.

His palm was covered in cracks, and blood splattered, leaving him aghast. Chu Feng's power was simply too immense.

Chu Feng held nothing back now, circulating his unique breathing technique and unleashing the Great Strength Ox Demon Fist to relentlessly attack him.

With a clang, Ovid swiftly drew a gleaming greatsword and slashed at Chu Feng.

This sword was of exceptionally high quality, far superior to the silver blade Chu Feng had severed with his flying sword last time. It shone with a cold light.

Clang, clang, clang...

Chu Feng used his fist print to strike the back of the greatsword, making the blade hum violently. This horrified Ovid, as he noticed cracks appearing on his sword.

He slashed horizontally and vertically, frantically unleashing his Bright Sword Art, but it was utterly useless against this Demon King Chu.

Chu Feng pierced through the sword light and punched him. In an instant, Ovid's shining Bright Armor exploded with a bang, completely disintegrating and offering no resistance whatsoever.

His so-called protective armor was reduced to scrap metal under Chu Feng's fist.

It was a super alloy, excessively hard, but still insufficient.

Ovid himself was sent flying, spitting mouthfuls of blood. There was a bloody hole through his chest, front to back, indicating he wouldn't last much longer.

"You... how can you be this strong?!" Ovid cried out, unwilling to accept his fate.

He had broken one more genetic lock than Chu Feng, yet he was still no match.

Chu Feng ignored him, summoning his red flying sword. With a swift *thwack*, it severed Ovid's head, completely eliminating any chance of his survival.

In the distance, the White Bear was running wildly. It was fleeing, desperate to escape the beach and get away from that terrifying Demon King Chu.

However, at nearly four times the speed of sound, how could it possibly escape?

In an instant, Chu Feng caught up to it.

The White Bear despaired. It turned around to fight, its entire body glowing. It exhaled a blast of white cold air, instantly freezing the entire beach—this was its special ability.

However, the chilling air, strong enough to freeze others, had no effect on Chu Feng. He effortlessly dispersed it, stepped forward, and engaged it in fierce combat.

Without suspense, the White Bear was killed, its massive body lying prone on the sand.

Chu Feng lifted its massive carcass and walked back to where he had been earlier.

Then, he began to butcher the White Bear. An uninhabited seaside villa became the ideal spot for him to clean the bear meat.

Finally, firelight flickered on the golden beach. Chu Feng used Ovid's now-cracked greatsword to skewer glistening chunks of bear meat and began to barbecue them.

His stomach rumbled incessantly. After a long wait, he could finally feast.

For the next period, Chu Feng devoured the food with gusto, like a whirlwind sweeping away clouds. His body seemed like a bottomless pit, consuming a vast amount.

The king-level flesh transformed into powerful energy, storing itself within his physique. Chu Feng's entire body glowed, becoming more brilliant with every bite.

"Bear paws shouldn't be wasted."

Simply roasting them would be an absolute waste of a valuable resource.

Finally, after some hesitation, he carried the enormous bear paws into the city and returned to the restaurant he had visited earlier, scaring the manager stiff.

Chu Feng smiled at him, asked for his help in preparing the bear paws, and clearly stated that he wouldn't bother them again after this.

Afterward, he took some seasonings and borrowed the restaurant manager's communicator.

Back at the seaside, Chu Feng unhurriedly roasted the remaining meat chunks and even took some photos.

Finally, Chu Feng was full and utterly satisfied. His pores exuded vitality, and a powerful surge of energy coursed through his body.

His hunger finally vanished. All his cells became incredibly active, radiating a crystalline glow and harboring immense power.

Chu Feng felt better than ever before!

That night, he returned to the Holy City. The next morning, he went straight to the restaurant. After simmering overnight, the bear paws were perfectly prepared, transforming into a delicacy.

This was Chu Feng's breakfast, the paw of a bear king. He ate with great comfort and satisfaction.

That same day, Chu Feng departed, boarding a plane bound for Europe.

It took him over a day of flying to arrive safely.

At this time, the Eastern Expeditionary Army had already engaged in preliminary skirmishes with the beings from Kunlun. Although these were only probing attacks, casualties had already occurred!

Upon safe arrival, Chu Feng immediately posted several photos online, not on his usual social media platform, but casually scattered across the internet.

"What is this? Oh my god, such a huge white bear lying on the beach—it's been killed!"

What followed was even more shocking: someone was roasting bear meat, golden and glistening, looking incredibly delicious. And they were using a greatsword as a skewer, piercing the meat chunks with it.

Unfortunately, only one arm of the person doing the grilling was visible in the photos.

The style was rugged and incredibly fierce.

These few photos circulated, eventually seen by powerful individuals, causing nothing short of an earthquake!

"My heavens, that's the White Bear King! He was roasted and eaten by someone?!"

This sparked an uproar, leaving all parties unable to remain calm.

That was a very powerful beast king, yet it had died like that and was even roasted into golden, glistening food. It was truly unimaginable!

"Wait a minute, that sword..."

Someone examined the photo closely. Inscribed on the greatsword, which was in the style of the Holy See, was a name: Ovid.

This caused a massive shockwave in the Western world. Both the White Bear and Ovid had met with misfortune simultaneously, triggering immense repercussions!

Everyone was stunned. These were two great powerhouses; one ended up as food, and the other's weapon became cutlery. The impact was too profound.

"Heavens, there's such a formidable individual! Who could have done this?"

This also caused a huge sensation in the East!

"Eastern Expeditionary Army, do you see this? This is a warning to you. Do you still dare to covet Mount Kunlun?!"

Many people were greatly agitated.
