Mount Olympus was majestic and grand.
Chu Feng, the Black Ox, and the Yellow Ox had not yet left, as they were intently watching the mid-slope area shrouded in dense clouds, their eyes burning with a desire to ascend.
In ancient times, this mountain range was known as the center of Europe, filled with endless myths and legends. The entire nation offered sacrifices, and countless people worshipped it.
After circling the mountain range and gathering sufficient information from other creatures, the trio became even more intrigued, even reconsidering their trip to the Vatican.
To this day, no beast king had managed to reach Mount Olympus's main peak. The thought of how much sacred pollen and fruit might be there sparked endless speculation.
In fact, it was rare for anyone to even get past the mid-slope.
The lynx guiding them was terrified. Its smooth, silken fur bristled, and it trembled, saying, "Please forgive my cowardice, my lords. The summit is a pure land of the gods; I dare not approach."
According to the lynx, there had been beast kings who tried to ascend, only to perish or disappear.
Kingly blood had been spilled above the mid-slope, remaining crimson to this day—a truly shocking sight. It served as a deterrent to newcomers, making it rare for other creatures to dare easily set foot in the forbidden zone again.
Moreover, even powerful creatures like the Red Scale lived at the foot of the mountain. They did not attempt to climb but merely guarded the area, waiting for opportunities, which spoke volumes about the danger.
"Alright, you can go," Chu Feng said, waving his hand, not wanting to trouble it further.
"Meow!" The lynx seemed to receive a great pardon, turning and running immediately, disappearing into the primeval forest.
The Black Ox drew the long purple blade from his back and held it, while Chu Feng gripped his short sword, both ready to ascend.
The three moved with extreme speed. Even the Yellow Ox, in its childlike form, was as agile as an ape, its golden long hair fluttering as they swiftly scaled the mountainous terrain, stepping on huge rocks and ancient trees, quickly approaching the mid-slope.
The main peak was perpetually shrouded in clouds and mist. Above the mid-slope lay a vast sea of clouds, and according to ancient records, the very summit was the dwelling place of the gods!
"I don't believe that the Sun God, God of War, and the like still exist up there," the Black Ox declared, proclaiming himself an atheist who only believed in evolution. "Even if such creatures once did, they must have long since decayed."
The main peak was magnificent, its body brown. The higher they went, the sparser the trees became, yet all were ancient, lush green, and imbued with astonishing life essence.
Chu Feng's heart pounded, and he clutched his black short sword. This place felt extremely dangerous to him, and they had only just reached the mid-slope, barely entering the foggy area.
"It's very dangerous here!" the Yellow Ox warned, pointing to the numerous bloodstains on the ground. Even though dry, they still sent shivers down their spines, for this was the blood of beast kings.
More than one beast king had come to Mount Olympus, all hoping to enter the dwelling place of the gods. This area contained blood-stained remnants—scales, feathers, and the like—indicating that all who came here had perished.
Suddenly, thunder roared from the summit, accompanied by lightning, creating a terrifying sight.
It was incredibly sudden. Elsewhere, the sky was clear and bright, yet only this mountain area was shrouded in clouds and mist, inexplicably emitting thunder.
"I reckon climbing to the main peak will be extremely difficult," Chu Feng said, his expression grim. His divine sense warned him, and staying there made his hair stand on end.
Even with the three of them combined, there might still be danger.
In fact, the summit of Mount Olympus was even more dangerous than they imagined. The very next moment, a thick bolt of lightning, imbued with destructive power, struck down.
This place weakened their divine sense, reducing their ability to avoid danger.
All three moved preemptively, leaping several hundred meters away.
The area behind them exploded. Lightning permeated the mid-slope, its brilliant blue light terrifying, tearing apart the mountain terrain and sending rocks scattering everywhere.
"Is that old geezer Zeus still alive?" The Black Ox's fur bristled. It was said that Zeus, the ruler of Mount Olympus, used lightning as his weapon.
Now that they were climbing, they were met with thunderous attacks, making it impossible not to overthink the situation.
Chu Feng took an antique-grade spear from the large package on his back. With a whoosh, he hurled it, embedding it in a higher spot.
*Crack!*
Sure enough, when another bolt of lightning struck down, it was drawn away by the spear, electricity sparking and scattering.
"Uh oh, this isn't good, retreat quickly!" the Black Ox suddenly shouted.
An even more dangerous aura permeated the mountaintop, making them feel very uneasy. Amidst the lightning, something actually rushed down from the mysterious main peak.
The moment the three leaped away, their original position was shattered. It was a veritable cataclysm, with lightning permeating the air and the area glowing intensely.
Mountain rocks melted, and ancient trees turned to ash.
Powerful electric currents burst forth, intensely bright and terrifying.
"Is that a whip?" Even the Yellow Ox felt his scalp tingle. Was there truly a creature on the summit?
This whip could kill beast kings; its destructive power was immense.
*Clang!*
Chu Feng acted, unleashing his crimson flying sword, which transformed into a dazzling rainbow that struck towards the object.
*Clank!*
Sparks flew, and a harsh metallic clang echoed from that spot. A small section of the whip's tip was severed, but it seemed to have no effect on the whip itself.
A fierce wind howled as the black whip, imbued with powerful lightning, lashed out. The creature on the summit seemed enraged, attacking with thunderous methods.
"Go!" the Black Ox roared. He didn't want to continue fighting, as he sensed this creature was too terrifying for them to contend with.
The three were as fast as lightning, constantly changing direction to evade the pursuit of the divine lightning whip. Behind them, the mountain ground cracked open, huge rocks dozens of meters high were instantly pierced, and the dark, indestructible whip arrived, wielding lightning.
"This dark-gold whip is too long," the Black Ox exclaimed, filled with shock and doubt. "It extends at least 1,200 meters from the summit, and it can actually lash down so easily!"
By this point, they had already rushed down the mountain, avoiding dozens of deadly strikes.
They could see the dark whip carrying lightning, which was terrifying. With a single strike, it destroyed an entire cliff, proving itself indestructible.
"It's not a metal whip; it's part of a creature's body!" the Yellow Ox exclaimed.
They stopped because they had reached the foot of the mountain. The dark lightning whip did not pursue them further but slowly retreated.
"A vine!" Chu Feng suddenly exclaimed. He saw leaves on the dark whip in the distance; they were also black, emitting dark light and accompanied by lightning.
"Zeus is a vine king?" The Black Ox was both surprised and angry.
It was unknown what kind of creature ancient Zeus had evolved from, but the creature now wielding lightning on the summit was certainly a monstrous vine.
All three were shocked!
They discussed whether they should try to attack, but ultimately sighed, realizing it would be very difficult. Even with the three of them combined, they likely couldn't break through; that vine was too powerful.
"It's probably on the same level as the Peacock King," the Yellow Ox said, "having broken six shackles and become a peerless expert of the current age!"
To date, no creature had appeared that had broken seven shackles, as it was extremely difficult to reach that level!
"Let's try again. It's just a vine, isn't it?" the Black Ox said, unwilling to give up and showing his fierce nature. "At worst, we'll set the mountain on fire!"
"Don't be reckless; creatures of this level definitely aren't afraid of fire!" The Yellow Ox shook his head.
The three were truly unwilling to give up. This was Mount Olympus, the dwelling place of the gods. They knew without a doubt that after the world's recovery, sacred ancient trees on the main peak must have bloomed and borne fruit!
Finally, the three set off again, climbing stealthily upwards from three different directions, hoping to sneak to the top.
However, as soon as they reached the mid-slope, they were pursued again. The dark, shimmering vines descended like lightning, threatening to destroy heaven and earth.
This pursuit was even more relentless. Three dark vines pursued them all the way to the foot of the mountain, still bombarding the area, and a nearby small mountain was directly blown apart.
The three were in a sorry state, covered in dirt and ash. Their clothes were tattered, and they bore marks of lightning strikes. They simply couldn't get through; this vine was too terrifying.
"Can't the three of us kings deal with just one vine?!"
If it were a beast king that had broken six shackles, they wouldn't dare charge in easily. But this was a plant that needed to be rooted in the soil and couldn't quickly lift itself from the ground—that was their chance.
In fact, they considered forcing this terrifying vine king down the mountain to pursue them, allowing one of them to quietly ascend and collect pollen and exotic fruits.
Suddenly, a brilliant light appeared on the main peak. Billions of golden rays, incredibly intense, rose like a sun, then rapidly descended the mountain.
"Oh no, something's coming down after us!"
The three quickly moved away from the main peak and cautiously prepared themselves.
It truly resembled a sun, its golden light surging. A waterfall on the mountain was instantly evaporated, turning into white mist.
"No way, don't tell me that's Apollo, the Sun God!" The Black Ox was speechless.
At this moment, the golden sun finally stopped, hovering at the mid-slope. As its golden glow slightly receded, Chu Feng and the others saw its true form.
"A sunflower?!" Even the Yellow Ox's eyes widened in astonishment.
No wonder it emitted myriad golden rays and was dazzlingly bright. This was a dazzling sunflower, with solar fire essence flowing throughout its entire body, making it extremely blinding.
What was called a "sunflower" was a common sunflower. This one, from its roots to its petals, emitted intense light and fire.
"Zeus is a vine king crackling with lightning, and Apollo, the Sun God, is a sunflower. Can anything be more preposterous than this? These are the leaders of the gods from ancient myths?!" The Black Ox looked thoroughly shaken.
Suddenly, all three tensed up instantly, reacting immediately. They rapidly darted in different directions, dodging away in an instant.
That sunflower was massive and intimidating. Its sunflower seeds, in particular, looked as if they were cast from gold, incredibly brilliant. Each "seed" was a foot long, and at this moment, they suddenly shot forth.
When a dazzling golden sunflower seed struck the ground here, a violent explosion occurred, flattening an area of a hundred meters and leaving a large crater.
*Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...*
At the mid-slope, foot-long golden seeds emitted dazzling light, illuminating the entire area as they whizzed after the three.
Mount Olympus seemed to be undergoing a saturation bombing by thermal weapons. Forests were collapsing, the ground was tearing apart, and some small mountains were simply obliterated.
"Are these sunflower seeds? These are missiles!"
The Black Ox was on the verge of swearing, covered in dust and in a sorry state. He ran frantically as a small mountain behind him exploded with a roar, and the terrifying shockwave sent him flying, slamming him into a distant mountain wall.
It was a long time before the area quieted down.
Chu Feng and the Yellow Ox were fine, suffering no serious harm. Only the Black Ox had been relentlessly pursued and bombarded; his clothes were tattered, his slicked-back hair was a mess, and his strands were matted together.
They looked back to see the mountain terrain in ruins. Small mountains were leveled, and the ground was torn apart. This left them speechless for a long time, their eyes wide. It was simply too bizarre: just a sunflower, yet its power was immense, wasn't it?
One or two sunflower seeds wouldn't have mattered, but dozens of foot-long golden seeds erupting like missiles—such power was too astonishing, truly shocking.
"Let's use the Vajra Restraint to suppress and kill it!" the Black Ox said indignantly; he had nearly been buried under a collapsed small mountain.
"It's gone," Chu Feng said.
"Poros, get down here!" the Black Ox challenged from the foot of the mountain.
"It's more likely called Apollo," the Yellow Ox reminded him.
"I don't care!" the Black Ox roared at the summit. "Poros, you [expletive], get down here! You almost killed this old ox; this isn't over!"
"Stop yelling," Chu Feng said. "He might actually have a sister, like Athena or something."
For a moment, the man and two oxen stared blankly at each other, realizing there was nothing they could do.
Zeus was a vine king, and the Sun God was a sunflower. Surely there weren't really other monsters? Legend had it that there were twelve main gods up there.
Even the Yellow Ox felt a headache coming on. He said, "Forget it, let's go. They probably aren't the so-called Zeus and Sun God, but with these two king-level creatures guarding this place, we simply can't get through."
Based on their speculation, that sunflower should be a terrifying creature that had broken five shackles, its combat power horrifying. Coupled with a peerless vine king, how many people could possibly contend with them?!
The three reluctantly left, feeling there was no need to try and infiltrate this legendary dwelling place of the gods again anytime soon.
They changed their tattered clothes at a store in a town. After cleaning up, they were energetic again. The Black Ox, in particular, even applied a layer of shiny hair gel to his slicked-back hair, looking quite flamboyant.
"Target: Vatican! Let's go!"
They leisurely made their way to the airport. On the way, they were caught up by dozens of luxury cars. Many people got out, approaching cautiously with wary expressions.
"King Chu from the East, may I ask where you are heading?" a blond middle-aged man asked, his voice slightly trembling with nervousness. "We can provide transportation."
"To the Vatican. Please arrange a plane for us," Chu Feng said without ceremony, understanding that they eagerly wanted the three of them to leave quickly.
They had raided the Red Scale's lair. This would undoubtedly cause a massive storm. How could that beast king possibly swallow this insult? An unparalleled battle was inevitable.
The Greek military most feared such an event. If two king-level creatures were to clash, who knew how far the repercussions would spread or what terrifying consequences they would bring.
"Alright, we'll arrange it immediately!" The middle-aged man readily agreed.
They hoped that Demon King Chu would come to Europe to suppress and kill beast kings, but they did not want him to unleash chaos within their own country. It would be best if he fought fiercely in an uninhabited zone.
That day, a fighter jet took off, roaring as it crossed the Adriatic Strait between Greece and Italy, heading towards the Vatican in the heart of Italy.
