Chapter 141: Chu Demon King

The young man’s long, light-golden hair bristled upon hearing this, almost seeming to stand on end, though it was too long to truly point upwards. He was enraged, his narrow eyes spitting fire, feeling utterly humiliated.

However, just as Hu Sheng was about to erupt, to retort and scold back, he met Chu Feng's calm, indifferent gaze. It was like cold water poured over his head; he shivered, swallowing the words that had been on the tip of his tongue.

A chill ran through Hu Sheng's entire body. He remembered he was facing a "demon king," someone who had killed quasi-kings from both the Peacock Clan and the Panshan lineage. This was no pushover.

He gritted his teeth, clenched his fists, and forcefully shut his mouth, not daring to utter another word. He truly feared that "Demon King Chu," in a fit of pique, would cleanly and decisively eliminate him.

The few humans in the private room watched him, none attempting to mediate, maintaining a profound silence.

Hu Sheng was seething, but truly dared not utter another word. He felt utterly humiliated and suffocated, unable to remain in the place, so he turned and walked away.

"Come back!" Chu Feng spoke, stopping him.

The tall Hu Sheng instantly froze, standing motionless with his back to the door. He felt both fear and resentment. What else did the other party want?

"Close the door properly," Chu Feng said. Originally, he hadn't intended to trouble the man, but he had absolutely no goodwill towards this non-human, who had dared to speak disrespectfully in his presence, suggesting he should flee Shuntian to avoid trouble.

Hu Sheng's body tensed. He was extremely angry, his face burning. As a dignified direct descendant of a royal family, he was being treated with such contempt, and he felt deeply humiliated.

However, the next moment, his hair stood on end. His keen intuition picked up that a prehistoric behemoth seemed to be staring at him from behind, its gaze so cold that it sent a shiver through his entire body.

Hu Sheng's body was rigid, but he eventually turned slowly, closed the private room door, and then strode away, not wanting to linger for another second.

"Ah..."

After putting a sufficient distance between them, he couldn't help but let out a roar, his chest feeling as if it would explode with rage. He hated himself for being so weak just now, for being forced to lower his head without daring to resist.

Afterwards, he was almost beside himself with fury, wishing he could turn back and fight that demon. To him, it was an utter disgrace.

The restaurant was large, and many people turned to look at him, showing surprise and whispering amongst themselves.

A waiter approached, a smile on his face, and said, "Hello, sir, can I help you with anything?"

He politely hinted that many guests were dining and requested Hu Sheng to maintain quiet.

"Get lost!" Hu Sheng said coldly, then quickly walked towards a large private room in the distance.

He pushed open the door to reveal a number of young men and women, either handsome or alluringly beautiful, all possessing a very unique, almost otherworldly aura.

After Hu Sheng left, Du Huaijin and Ouyang Qing burst into laughter, feeling immensely satisfied.

"Boss, you're truly a breath of fresh air."

"What do you mean by that? Looking for a fight?"

Ouyang Qing said, "I'm not mocking you. These days have been incredibly murky. Even major conglomerates are sending people to contact these non-humans, implicitly trying to curry favor. Unlike you, Boss, who directly chastised them and made these young non-human powerhouses bow their heads. It's incredibly satisfying."

What he said was true. The rise of the non-humans had been incredibly swift, developing rapidly in a short period, forcing many major powers to lower their stance and receive them with great courtesy.

Especially as the competition for the world's famous mountains reached a critical stage, the situation became increasingly grim, and no one dared to easily offend the direct descendants of those non-human royal families.

Many found it intolerable, but there was nothing they could do; such was the reality.

Chen Luoyan spoke, "We still need to be careful. The non-humans have been very active recently, especially those young powerhouses who are quite high-profile. It's rumored that some old powerful figures might have come to Shuntian."

In another large private room, Hu Sheng erupted, his light-golden hair fluttering as he indignantly recounted the events. Though it was humiliating, he told them everything.

A muscular young man named Xiong Kun, his black hair dishevelled, slammed the table, his eyes gleaming with a fierce light. "A mere quasi-king is acting so brazenly? This is going too far! Let's go together and demand an explanation from him!"

"Don't be impulsive," someone advised. "He even dared to kill quasi-kings from the Peacock Clan and the Panshan lineage. This person is very dangerous!"

Although these young non-humans were accustomed to being dominant, they now felt a certain trepidation. After all, Chu Feng had forged a formidable reputation, seen by many non-humans as nothing less than a demon king.

Hu Sheng, dissatisfied, said, "Everyone, I simply cannot swallow this humiliation. Are we just going to let it go?" His face was grim, and his narrow eyes glinted with hatred.

A woman in yellow smiled and said, "He won't be jumping around for long. It's quite audacious of him not to have fled Shuntian. Do you think the Peacock Clan and the Panshan lineage will let him go? Obviously not; they'll kill him to establish their authority!" Her name was Lu Qing, and her clan boasted a very powerful Five-Colored Deer King.

The several people in the room all nodded upon hearing this, a cold sneer on their faces. They had come to Shuntian precisely to watch the spectacle, knowing that the Peacock Clan and Panshan lineage would make a significant move, intending to kill one to warn a hundred, establishing their authority and setting new rules!

"It's nothing, really." Hu Sheng was still unwilling to let it go. The more he thought about it, the more enraged he became. "Our clans all have king-level powerhouses. If we go together, I don't believe he'd dare offend all the royal families."

He instigated the others, wanting to vent his frustration.

"Good, I agree!" Xiong Kun stood up immediately.

"Wait a moment," the woman in yellow, Lu Qing, said with a smile. "A distinguished guest will arrive today. Once he's here, we'll have nothing to fear." Her face was comely, and her status was clearly not low.

"Who's coming?" someone asked.

Some already knew who the distinguished guest was today, and upon hearing this, they smiled, knowing that once that person arrived, they would have nothing to fear from Chu Feng.

"Golden Bat!" Lu Qing informed the others.

"The Bat King's descendant?!"

Some reacted with an "I knew it" expression, while others were surprised, a sense of awe filling their hearts.

The Golden Bat was a golden-colored bat, highly cultivated and vigorously nurtured by the Old Bat King, who had already propelled him to the quasi-king realm. His strength was unfathomable.

In ordinary times, he was a figure of dread, known for drinking spiritual blood to further his own evolution.

"If the Golden Bat comes," Xiong Kun laughed heartily, "even if Chu Feng is powerful, he won't dare to be too overbearing. We'll go and demand an explanation then."

Not long after, the door to Chu Feng's private room was pushed open again. A group of uninvited individuals walked in, one after another.

Du Huaijin stood up, raising his voice. "Who are you people? Don't you know this place is reserved? Why are you barging in?!"

"Quasi-King Chu certainly has grand airs," someone said sarcastically, trying to provoke. "So many of us came to pay our respects, yet you don't even stand up. Truly a picture of composure and self-possession."

Chen Luoyan couldn't stand it. "Do you truly believe your status is so high? That Chu Feng must stand up to greet you? It's clear you've come with hostility."

"How overbearing! Do you look down on us, the great royal families? Truly worthy of the name 'Demon King Chu'!" someone scoffed.

Ouyang Qing sneered, "You want to pick a fight? Don't regret it!"

"Hmph, how arrogant. Even the people around him dare to speak to us like this," someone said sinisterly.

"Do you all wish to die?" Chu Feng spoke, his voice not loud, even quite calm, yet it instantly silenced the room.

The moment he spoke, an invisible oppressive force emanated from him, making these individuals wary, even though he wasn't angry.

"I once told you that if you dared to utter another word, I would instantly kill you. Yet you still dared to come?" Chu Feng looked at Hu Sheng.

Singled out by Chu Feng's gaze, cold sweat instantly streamed down Hu Sheng's face. He kept his mouth tightly shut, not daring to utter a sound. In fact, he hadn't spoken since entering this private room.

"Since you don't dare to speak, then get out!" Chu Feng said coldly.

Hu Sheng's hair stood on end, and his heart pounded. He inwardly cursed himself for his weakness. Why did he feel like a mouse seeing a cat the moment he saw Chu Feng? He was terrified, and he didn't even understand why himself.

In reality, it was the mental suppression of a king-level being that made him tremble, unable to muster any thought of resistance.

Hu Sheng involuntarily stumbled backward, stepping out of the private room and standing just outside the door.

Soon, he felt immense shame, his face flushed red, and he almost wanted to step back inside.

Seeing this, the other young non-humans found it humiliating. Their collective momentum was instantly diminished; it was simply too awkward.

Lu Qing spoke, "Quasi-King Chu, your actions are too overbearing. We came to see you with good intentions, only to be scolded like this?"

Although the woman in yellow was attractive, Chu Feng didn't even raise his head. He clinked glasses with Ye Qingrou and Chen Luoyan, drank a cup of wine, and completely ignored her.

Lu Qing was left standing there, immediately feeling quite awkward.

Xiong Kun's black hair fluttered, and his gaze was sharp. His temper was always volatile, being a descendant of the Black Bear King. He spoke now, his voice slightly cold.

"He's just a quasi-king, yet so arrogant! Do you really think you're invincible? I'd say you can barely protect yourself. The Peacock Clan and the Panshan lineage will never let you go!"

Ye Qingrou spoke, "I advise you all to leave quickly, lest you invite trouble for yourselves."

"What a joke! You dare to threaten us?" someone said indignantly.

"Do you believe that because you are all royal descendants, united like this, I wouldn't dare to touch you?" Chu Feng asked, showing no signs of anger.

Lu Qing spoke, "Quasi-King Chu, we have no other intentions. So many royal families have come merely to invite you for a discussion. A distinguished guest wishes to speak with you."

"The Black Bear lineage is here!"

"The Five-Colored Deer lineage is here!"

These individuals announced their lineages; nearly all were royal families, with even the least powerful clans having two quasi-kings. They stood united.

Anyone else would truly be intimidated; at the very least, even major conglomerates were extremely wary when facing royal families and dared not offend them.

Chu Feng smiled, though his voice was somewhat cold. "Are you listing menu items for me, so I can see which clan is more palatable?"

"You dare to profane the great royal families?!" Xiong Kun exploded, his gaze sharp and furious.

"Even your ancestors wouldn't dare speak to me like that. If they knew you were making enemies for your clans, they'd probably beat you senseless first!"

Chu Feng's voice deepened, and his eyes blazed with a terrifying, soul-stirring light.

"You... you dare to make enemies of all clans?" Lu Qing shrieked, but at that moment, she felt an overwhelming terror, as if a prehistoric behemoth had fixed its gaze upon her.

"You dare!" another person, emboldened, shouted.

Chu Feng said coldly, "Let me discipline you on behalf of your ancestors. One day, when I visit your family's mountain gate, I'll demand a disciplinary fee from them!"

These people were furious, feeling humiliated, especially since even the king-level beings within their clans had been ridiculed.

However, Ye Qingrou, Chen Luoyan, and Ouyang Qing knew that Chu Feng wasn't joking. Given his current strength, if he truly decided to visit any clan's mountain gate, that clan would likely become incredibly anxious instantly!

Old Weasel was a beast king who had broken two shackles and mastered sword control, yet he was still suppressed and killed by Chu Feng. How could any ordinary beast king be his match?

"You dare to profane the royal family? When the time comes..." Xiong Kun still tried to shout.

But then, with a thunderous *boom*, a terrifying surge of mental energy spread out, instantly filling him with dread. His entire body trembled, and eventually, he could no longer bear the immense pressure.

*Thud!*

He immediately fell to his knees, his body shaking uncontrollably.

He was stunned, looking at Chu Feng, his mind reeling with shock.

"You..." Lu Qing shrieked.

At the same time, the terrifying mental energy spread, causing all the young non-humans to cry out in fear, utterly terrified.

*Thud! Thud!*

One after another, these individuals crumpled under the mental pressure, their faces turning pale. Some collapsed onto the ground, while others bowed their heads and knelt.

After obtaining the Sword Control Art, Chu Feng had comprehended "mental martial arts" and was extremely skilled in the use of mental energy. There was no way these people could withstand him.

"Oh my God!" Their hearts trembled. They wanted to scream, but found they couldn't open their mouths, suppressed to the ground and unable to move, all utterly terrified.

Passersby nearby were instantly shocked. What had happened? Weren't those the young powerhouses among the non-humans? And they were all kneeling there!

As the news spread, a commotion erupted in the restaurant. Some immediately took photos, but the restaurant manager quickly arrived, hastily stopping them and urging people to step back.

Everyone knew a major incident had occurred!

The sight of several young non-human powerhouses kneeling and collapsing outside Chu Feng's private room naturally sparked numerous conjectures!
