Chapter 1320: Does Reincarnation Really Exist in the World?

The big black dog was afraid. It worried that the middle-aged man beside it would turn into a zombie, especially since he had just moved again. So, it decisively opened a mysterious space where it vaguely saw a copper coffin.

In fact, it was just the copper coffin's final imprint, which had materialized and appeared, suppressing a vast, dark, and cold cosmic abyss. Long ago, the copper coffin drifted away, its origin and destination unknown, floating all by itself. Now, the big black dog opened this space directly and was about to enter with the middle-aged man.

"Wait, send me back!" Chu Feng shouted. He had seen the copper coffin; its projection and aura astonished him. Chu Feng found it familiar; in the mental imprint Number Nine had shown him, there was this coffin, burying a person, traveling aimlessly with no known beginning or end.

"Have you agreed to those two conditions?" the black giant beast asked. Chu Feng really wanted to hit the dog. Obtaining the small black wooden spear had been a complete accident. Where was he supposed to find a Three-Life Emperor Medicine of even more extraordinary quality now? Besides, who was that Empress? He had never met her, nor even heard of her.

"That kind of medicine must be in the most dangerous places in the world. For a Three-Life Medicine to elevate to an Emperor Medicine, it must be related to the era before the Emperor's Fall. If it truly exists, it must be in the most ominous and demonic lands; only there could it have a place to thrive!" the black giant beast speculated. Chu Feng cursed. Everyone avoided such places; yet, it wanted him to go gather herbs? Furthermore, if even a creature of the black giant beast's caliber was wary and spoke like that, it was undoubtedly a place of certain death.

"What a pity. Back then, we fought our way into the cycle of reincarnation, reaching the dark and murky Soul River, thinking we had reached the final barrier. But now it seems there's still a hidden path ahead, not the ultimate destination. Perhaps secrets from even before the Emperor's Fall era might have clues or records there." It shook its head, filled with regret. They must have been very close to the final barrier back then, but ultimately, they neither reached it nor fought to the very end.

Chu Feng's face instantly turned green. Was this dog insane? Where was he supposed to find the medicine?

"That infiltrator once carved words deep within the cycle of reincarnation, leaving a message for future generations, warning everyone to be vigilant because the extreme limits of reincarnation might undergo changes. What he said was indeed true." The black giant beast mused, muttering to itself, evidently pondering something. Back then, they fought their way into the terrifying Soul River, pressing forward. On a certain dark reef, they saw carved words—the infiltrator's warning to the world. Unfortunately, that infiltrator merely suspected; he had set off in a hurry back then and found no concrete evidence.

The big black dog bristled. It knew how formidable that individual was — sitting alone on the copper coffin, witnessing all heavens and myriad realms stained with blood, departing in solitude. How powerful was he before he left? Yet, even he had overlooked it at the time, failing to grasp the strangeness of changes occurring at the extreme limits of reincarnation. The black giant beast strongly suspected that something extraordinary and terrifying from before the Emperor's Fall era had been left behind, something of such a high caliber that even that infiltrator couldn't find it. Of course, the infiltrator must have had some inkling, or he wouldn't have warned future generations.

"If even he thought the problem might be serious enough to leave a warning message, how terrifying must it be? What a pity, he had a more important mission and had to embark on a distant journey." The big black dog pondered, thinking of many things. According to legend, the so-called cycle of reincarnation was unearthed by that infiltrator, carved out from ruins dating back to before the Emperor's Fall.

Back then, that infiltrator was truly pitiable and desolate: his own child was sacrificed, his brother was blood-sacrificed, a host of old friends withered away, and only a few old soldiers followed him, but they too eventually passed on. Under all the heavens, he could hardly find anyone familiar anymore. To resurrect them, to see those people again, he sought to manifest reincarnation. Ultimately, he found clues from the era before the Emperor's Fall.

But would the resurrected people, the retrieved beings, truly be those old friends? Would they be the very people the infiltrator truly wished to see again? Because there was a paradox! If you believed in reincarnation, then you could indeed trust the people who returned through transmigration. But if you didn't believe, would the people you brought back truly be them?

The middle-aged man beside the black giant beast had once engaged in fierce debates with another Heavenly Emperor and had serious discussions with the Empress. This was complex and terrifying, containing profound horrors difficult to comprehend or imagine. If one disbelieved in reincarnation, and chose not to verify the most terrifying aspects, but instead interpreted and explained it only from a neutral to negative perspective, the consequences would be severe. Some believed that no matter how unparalleled, how deeply knowledgeable of ancient times, how invincible one was across heaven and earth, even if one manifested reincarnation and created pure lands again, the people brought back might merely be carriers of past memories, their essence having already shifted to new vessels. This was like copying, rewriting information into that vessel. But would that truly be the person from back then?

Did that infiltrator believe in reincarnation? Perhaps he understood more deeply; he knew everything. He still had no regrets, only wishing to see those familiar faces again, to witness their voices and smiles. Because he was too lonely and desolate on his own. However, he must have understood everything. That's why, after ascending to heaven, he once again traveled alone on the copper coffin, crossing vast distances, bathed in the blood of various ancestors, traversing all broken paths, to fight and to conquer.

"No wonder the figure he left behind was so solitary..." the black giant beast murmured. However, it then considered another theory: even without believing in reincarnation, one could firmly believe in their own power to ultimately reconstitute everything! Could the disintegrated body, the lost years, the soul light incinerated across countless ages, perhaps truly be reassembled? The black giant beast shook its head, no longer dwelling on the infiltrator's past.

"The Three-Life Emperor Medicine might also be found beneath the Four Extremes Floating Earth, which would be its growing ground. We fought our way there back then, but regrettably, looking back now, we truly regret it. There should be another realm beneath it, with final checkpoints and unknown hidden lands." The big black dog reflected, strongly suspecting that these places held terrifying oddities back then, and they hadn't explored them to their very end. However, they were now powerless to wage war; those who had died were long gone, and those who had withered had withered away. Even back then, it had cost an immense amount of energy and an extremely heavy price, with even the blood of Heavenly Emperors splattering!

Suddenly, Chu Feng spoke, saying, "Those whom heaven cannot bury are interred between the Four Extremes Floating Earth. Cut the yin and yang as fuel, summon the fire of the great void, draw in the flame of the ancient cosmos, and burn them!"

"Oh, you actually know some strange things? Have you even heard of such anecdotes?" Back then, it and several Heavenly Emperors had also pursued this very notion, hoping to investigate the oddities and unearth something. However, after a brutal struggle and bloody fight, they ultimately failed to find what they sought to investigate. Now, it seemed truly regrettable; they were likely very close but missed it!

The big black dog regretted that if they had persevered a little longer and searched more carefully back then, they might have forced their way into another hidden land. Sometimes, one was just a thin pane of glass away from the truth, yet inadvertently missed it. The big black dog reflected that several places—such as the source of the Soul River and beneath the Four Extremes Floating Earth—seemed to have their own ultimate barriers. It only now detected these signs, whereas back then, they had withdrawn without fully uncovering them. Of course, truly uncovering them and forcing entry would likely be exceptionally brutal and destined to be bloody!

After all, even that infiltrator from back then had been negligent, failing to notice the existence of dormant relics from before the Emperor's Fall. Whenever it thought deeper, the black giant beast shuddered. What exactly was hidden in those utterly demonic places, and what were their intentions? Whenever it considered that the path of reincarnation actually existed before the Emperor's Fall era, the big black dog bristled. If it were naturally formed by heaven and earth, that would be one thing, but if it was constructed by someone, that would be terrifying. Perhaps the infiltrator, who departed alone on the copper coffin, had sensed something because of this and was compelled to take action? Furthermore, the location of the Four Extremes Floating Earth — what kind of beings was it meant to burn? It too was utterly sinister and terrifying, impossible to fathom, no less mysterious than the secrets behind reincarnation. At once, the big black dog thought of many things, and its thoughts ranged far and wide.

Chu Feng stared eagerly at its projection, not hoping for explanations, but just wanting it to quickly send him back. This place looked like a dead universe, withered and destroyed for an unknown number of years.

"Have you noted down those hidden lands I just mentioned? If the Three-Life Emperor Medicine exists in this world, it will be in those three or five places. You must search carefully." The big black dog bared its teeth, revealing a mouthful of pearly white but chipped canines, laughing. It looked somewhat sinister, clearly warning Chu Feng that if he failed to find it, he would surely suffer the erosion of the strongest curse in history.

Chu Feng truly longed to gather people for a satisfying hotpot meal of black dog meat; otherwise, he felt uneasy all over. Of course, if he could just beat this hunched black dog right then and there, it would also vent his frustration. But he could only think about it. Suddenly, he felt his path ahead was boundless and his life bleak.

One should know that neither this dog nor the so-called Heavenly Emperors it mentioned had ultimately reached the final barrier or uncovered the truth. How evil could that strange place be? And how could it expect him to break through? Was this torturing a dog, or torturing a person?

Chu Feng presented facts and reasoned, negotiating with the black giant beast. He hadn't gone insane and didn't believe he, alone, could rival several Heavenly Emperors and fight his way to an ultimate place no one had ever reached.

The black giant beast clasped its paws behind its back and said, "What's this? You should know that we've even slain Celestial Immortals. Do you know what kind of beings those are? Their level is unimaginable, far beyond ordinary fallen Immortal Kings and the like. Now, I'm just asking you to explore a few ancient lands beneath the Heavens. What's the big deal?"

Chu Feng wanted to grab its bald tail and throw it out. It made it sound so easy, yet it hadn't explored to the end itself. Moreover, Chu Feng was certain that behind reincarnation and beneath the Four Extremes Floating Earth, there must be terrifying things, awe-inspiring throughout history, that even the black giant beast and its companions hadn't explored. Besides, who could be sure that the things in those places were weaker than Celestial Immortals?

Upon hearing this, the black giant beast fell silent for a moment, uncharacteristically refraining from rebuttal. If it could be easily overcome, it wouldn't be so troubled.

"I don't care. It's your task. This is your test. Who told you to have such a strange face? Damn it, why don't you come closer and let me get a good look!"

"Go away! I don't need you to send me back anymore!" Chu Feng instantly refused. He was getting a bit unnerved and truly dared not approach the dog, not knowing what it was up to.

"Demonic!" The big black dog stared at him repeatedly. Chu Feng felt a chill down his spine, then shouted, "As for the second condition, about finding some woman, explain it in more detail, then you can rest easy and be on your way quickly."

Upon mentioning that woman, the black giant beast became solemn, then lavished praise, expressing all sorts of commendation and admiration. Words like "surpassing all ages," "peerlessly graceful," "unrivaled beauty," and "stunning through time" flowed forth.

"You speak so highly of her, is she even a flesh-and-blood person? She sounds illusory, not existing in the flow of time. And what do you want me to do by finding this Empress? Do you perhaps think I'm also too astonishing and destined to walk alongside her in the future, so you're trying to set us up?"

Hearing Chu Feng's shameless words, the black giant beast was stunned for the first time, its face turning ashen as it stood frozen, its jaw nearly hitting the ground. After a long time, its jaw snapped back into place with a click, and its eyes glowed green. "Alright," it said, "for so many years, you're the first person who dared to speak like that. I'll give you a map of mountains and rivers; go find her yourself. Young man, I have high hopes for you! If you're brave enough then, say that to her face."

Seeing its eyes glow a sinister green, Chu Feng's hair stood on end. Although it was smiling, he felt a strong sense of malice; this dog was clearly trying to harm him.

"What's there to be afraid of? There's nothing Chu Ultimate fears doing! Send over your so-called mountain and river imprint. I've been waiting to set off!" Chu Feng, stubborn as a mule, actually said this in the end.

"Good, good, good!" The big black dog repeated "good" three times, its face wreathed in smiles, its pearly white canines seeming to embody endless malice. A map of mountains and rivers, a very long coordinate imprint, instantly merged into Chu Feng's mind.

"Alright, Chu Ultimate is about to embark. How about you send me off a little further?" Chu Feng said.

"Sure, no problem. I'll send you off. Be on your way." The big black dog bared its teeth, its face filled with a thick smile, but no matter how one looked at it, it was somewhat eerie.
