Chapter 1231: Against a Group of Sages Alone

The atmosphere in the Camp of Quasi-Saints was tense and oppressive. A cold glint flashed deep in Chu Feng's eyes as he realized someone intended to hunt him down. "Then come," he thought, "let's see who kills whom!"

He had to admit that the hidden individual was exceptionally ambitious and audacious. Despite knowing he was not to be trifled with, they intended to deliver a fatal blow and eliminate him directly. The person intent on attacking possessed a sinister mind and an overbearing arrogance, viewing him as mere prey. They had incited a large number of masters within the Camp of Quasi-Saints, aiming to crush him and achieve victory in a single decisive battle.

Chu Feng slowed his steps, a faint glow appearing on his body. He remained outwardly calm and indifferent, ready to engage in battle at any moment. This was because more and more individuals wearing dragon-scale armor were appearing nearby, and evolutionaries clad in rare metals were quietly gathering around him.

"Do you intend to attack me?" Chu Feng asked, his voice cold.

"We wish to spar," a voice from the shadows replied, "but we believe no single one of us is your match."

"Then come at me, all of you!" Chu Feng's voice was icy.

"You said it yourself!" A voice from the shadows exclaimed with barely contained excitement, almost a scream. This saved them considerable trouble, as they no longer needed an excuse to attack him collectively.

"Just one whetstone after another," Chu Feng calmly declared, viewing his attackers as mere tools for his own sharpening.

In a large tent far within the Camp of Quasi-Saints, someone smiled and remarked, "Heh, the hunt is about to begin. Cao De's days are numbered." The speaker was tall and slender, with striking red hair. His pale fingers held a crystal goblet filled with amber-colored wine, its rich aroma so potent it promised intoxication with a single sniff. Beside him sat a white-haired youth, a cruel smile etched on his face. He raised his own exquisite, smooth wine glass and gently clinked it against the other's, producing a crisp, resonant chime. The amber liquid in both jade goblets splashed briefly, but its viscosity caused it to stretch into fine threads before gracefully retracting back into the cups, leaving a potent aroma lingering in the air. Both men were calm and composed. They each took a shallow sip, their gazes fixed on the lone figure surrounded in the distance.

"He's about to die. The hunt begins!" the red-haired youth declared coolly, settling back to watch the unfolding drama and await Cao De's demise.

The white-haired youth spoke calmly, "Were it not for these idiotic battlefield rules, with our status, a single command would suffice. He is merely a rogue cultivator; even if he possessed ten lives, his head would have been severed and fed to dogs by now!"

"Come, raise your glass," the red-haired man chuckled, "a toast to Cao De's departure." His face showed a cruel delight and an indescribable, sinister charm. Their glasses clinked together again shortly after, both men wearing cruel smiles as they quietly awaited Cao De's tragic end.

Within the camp, the figures of evolutionaries were numerous and densely packed. Some began to move, charging towards Chu Feng with cold, ruthless expressions on their faces. Chu Feng stood unmoving, but his eyes blazed with terrifying intensity, unleashing two astonishing golden beams of light. Simultaneously, his hair, undisturbed by any wind, began to float and then wildly whip around. In that instant, he transformed into a figure like a demon god, his gaze chilling and his aura overwhelming.

"All of you, come here!" he commanded with a soft, yet piercing, cry.

Though startled, the attackers did not halt. Two of them, in particular, surged forward, their black long spears thrusting out. The spearheads were incredibly sharp, seemingly forged in hell, radiating a bone-chilling aura of death. A surge of dark light erupted from the spearheads, resembling two astonishing black lightning bolts tearing through the cosmos, so potent they distorted the very fabric of space. These were indeed two masters, preeminent among Quasi-Saints, their lethal power truly daunting.

In that infinitesimal moment, Chu Feng moved. He struck in an instant, with incredible ferocity. Seizing both long spears, he exerted tremendous force, and with two sharp cracks, both weapons, forged from rare metals, snapped in half. However, it wasn't just those two attacking. At that moment, the entire surrounding group surged forward. Every single one was a Quasi-Saint, a formidable powerhouse, with no ordinary individuals among them.

At that instant, some wielded their fists, causing divine light to erupt and the very void to tremble. Others swung blades, unleashing dazzling energy beams that seemed capable of cleaving the sky, accompanied by a horrifying, piercing shriek — the sound of oscillating energy. Concurrently, individuals with glowing foreheads invoked secret techniques, manifesting intricate patterns of runes that intertwined like a brilliant, awe-inspiring galaxy.

Boom!

All manner of attacks and techniques intertwined, resembling a dense, dazzling starfield, as if an entire galaxy had plummeted down. The immense aura and terrifying pressure were suffocating. It truly felt as if the heavens were collapsing. After all, dozens of Quasi-Saints were attacking simultaneously, engaging in close-quarters combat and unleashing secret arts, which converged to form a destructive storm. The void trembled, on the verge of tearing apart.

At that moment, Chu Feng did not attempt to flee, already encircled at the center. He unleashed his full power, electricity intertwining and transforming into a sea of fundamental order that surged outwards in all directions. Bolts of electricity flashed through the air, shockwaves originating from a peak Quasi-Saint. Chu Feng fought with a berserk determination, completely throwing caution to the wind. He intended to use this group of Quasi-Saints to test his own limits!

Divine light burst forth and the very fabric of order vibrated. Chu Feng was like a blazing sun, his entire body radiating lightning that erupted from his pores, gushed from his seven orifices, and even vibrated out from his limbs. Most notably, terrifying thunderous sigils pulsed between his fists, erupting with such force that they caused the void to resonate and tremble, a truly horrifying spectacle.

In an instant, everyone near him screamed. Amidst the flashing electricity and roaring thunder, some were struck, pierced by lightning, and torrents of blood erupted from them. In that moment, over twenty individuals were sent flying. Struck by the lightning, they were flung backward, resembling weeds in a furious storm, almost snapping and then being uprooted entirely. Over twenty individuals collapsed into pools of blood, their bodies pierced by Chu Feng's thunder sigils, sending a spray of crimson rain across the ground.

Such was his dominance: Chu Feng stretched his form, executing his Lightning Fists to their absolute peak. Every part of his body could attack, and his two fists moved with extreme speed, like actual bolts of lightning. A group of people were impaled. Simultaneously, upon hitting the ground, their wounds were seared black, with electric arcs visibly intertwining. Furthermore, another group was enveloped by lightning, their bodies trembling. They were contorted like bent shrimp, unable to stand upright, and all staggered backward, even spitting electric arcs from their mouths when they opened them. Of all those present, the two who had led the initial charge were in the most dire state; half of their bodies had exploded from the impact, and their lives were all but extinguished.

"How can he be so strong?!" Someone's voice trembled, barely able to utter the words, finding it utterly unbelievable. Consider that dozens of Quasi-Saints were attacking simultaneously. While Cao De was undeniably powerful, this was beyond comprehension; he had knocked down fifty or sixty individuals in an instant, a truly terrifying feat that made one's hair stand on end. Everyone felt as though they were confronting a prehistoric beast; it was too terrifying, causing their very souls to tremble. How could Cao De, also a Quasi-Saint, have become this powerful?

At this moment, Chu Feng stood still in the center of the fray, golden beams shooting from his eyes. He gazed down upon everyone, increasingly resembling a demon god, his presence dominating the entire scene. People realized that Cao De was vastly superior to them, as if existing on an entirely different plane of existence.

"No wonder he could... severely wound Kunlong!" someone stammered.

"Don't be afraid, don't frighten yourselves," someone exclaimed. "Kunlong was ambushed while in the midst of enlightenment. In a direct confrontation, it would be Cao De who died!"

In the distant silver tent, the white-haired youth stated coldly, "He is indeed formidable. Forget Quasi-Saints, even Saints would struggle to be his match."

The red-haired youth's eyes glinted menacingly. "But he will still die," he said. "Who does he think he is? The young Li? Does he believe he can single-handedly fight hundreds, even thousands, of Quasi-Saints?"

On the battlefield, Chu Feng let out a long howl. His aura intensified even further as he tested the fruits of his cultivation, attacking without any reservation. In an instant, he moved like a specter, his speed astonishing. Amidst the terrifying golden fist imprints, over twenty people were sent flying, all pierced through by him and nearly blasted into smithereens. This was a result of his deliberate control; he had no desire to completely decimate the Camp of Quasi-Saints. Otherwise, some of them would surely have disintegrated, leaving no trace behind.

The clang of metal resonated as the surrounding evolutionaries, clad in dragon-scale armor, sprang into action, charging forward together. There were over seventy of them, in addition to evolutionaries wearing other fearsome armor. All were late-stage Quasi-Saint beings, acting in perfect unison, jointly activating secret treasures and divine chains of order, all intent on delivering a killing blow to Chu Feng. Beyond this group, hundreds more stood behind them, their bodies glowing as they enacted secret techniques! The collective might of the Quasi-Saints had been unleashed; nearby Quasi-Saints had united their forces specifically to target him!

"Kill!"

Chu Feng roared. With hundreds of opponents all launching their attacks simultaneously, swathes of brilliant light shimmered like a starry sky, as if the celestial constellations themselves were descending upon him. The pressure was immense. He could not afford to wait for them to kill him. Finally, he took the initiative, soaring into the sky like a humanoid beast, evading the brilliant beams of order and other attacks. Simultaneously, a profound bell toll resonated around him, accompanied by the terrifying roar of thunder. He was manifesting a great bell of condensed lightning around his body to defend against the multitude.

*Clang!*

The deafening bell sound threatened to tear apart the very void. As countless light beams from the attackers on the ground converged, the great bell forged from lightning visibly dented inward, its thunderous runes flickering and almost collapsing.

"Heh, who does he think he is?" the red-haired youth sneered from afar, quietly awaiting Cao De's inevitable defeat and death. "Does he truly believe he can rampage through the Camp of Quasi-Saints?"

However, at that critical moment, the great bell swelled once more. All its dented sections expanded, and any cracked areas seamlessly repaired themselves. Unseen by others, Chu Feng had subtly activated his Human King Blood, forming a golden domain that intertwined with the lightning and fused with the great bell. Then, observers watched as the entire group seemed to be ensnared and distorted by an invisible force field, left floating in strange, contorted positions. Subsequently, over a hundred individuals screamed in agony as they were sent flying, some with severed arms, others with broken legs, their bodies horribly mangled.

In the distance, the red-haired youth's expression changed dramatically. He had just declared Cao De was seeking death, yet now, the outcome was evident: hundreds of people had failed to trap or kill him, and a large number were sent flying, spitting copious amounts of blood. The sight was utterly terrifying! A single Quasi-Saint was not merely fighting ten, but hundreds of other Quasi-Saints, yet he appeared remarkably at ease.

"Everyone, it's time to act. You've seen it, haven't you?" the red-haired man transmitted secretly, his voice laced with temptation. "Cao De is merely a rogue cultivator. He only became this strong because he acquired a large amount of Dao-Fusing Grass essence. If we refine him and extract that essence, we too can achieve such power!" The red-haired man secretly transmitted his voice, attempting to bewitch them. He could no longer restrain himself; he desperately wanted to eliminate Cao De immediately and could not afford any further delay. Concurrently, the individuals he had gathered, his loyal retainers, also began to transmit messages throughout the Camp of Quasi-Saints, wildly exaggerating the terrifying potency of the Dao-Fusing Grass.

"A single wisp of Dao-Fusing Grass essence is enough to forge a grand master," the voices declared. "Cao De possesses a vast amount of it, and his combat prowess is plain for all to see. What are we waiting for? Let's eliminate him and seize the miraculous substances contained within the Dao-Fusing Grass!"

"Found you!" At that moment, golden light gleamed deep within Chu Feng's eyes; he was subtly employing his Fiery Golden Eyes, and he had located the red-haired man. Then, he suddenly leaped, streaking like a meteor towards the red-haired man, his entire body ablaze with dazzling light, as if he were a bomb rocketing forward!

"If you found me, then you're the one who's going to die!" the red-haired man declared chillingly, then chuckled. "Thank you for collecting the Dao-Fusing Grass essence for me. All the miraculous substances within you will become mine. You've merely prepared a wedding dress for me."
