Chapter 119: 异类酒会

Ye Qingrou, Du Huaijin, and Ouyang Qing were also dressed in formal attire, prepared for the reception.

"Boss, you should really thank Sister Qingrou," Ouyang Qing chuckled, "She meticulously picked out your clothes on the way here."

Chu Feng nodded. There was no point in resisting; since he was attending a reception, he needed to dress formally. Deliberately going against the event's dress code would only make him feel out of place.

"Ding!" The elevator chimed as it reached a higher floor. They exited one by one into an area with tight security. Guards meticulously examined their invitations, cross-referencing them carefully.

With strange beasts lurking in the suburban villa estates, places like this were now the safest and best option.

The eighteenth floor of the Qilin Building was elaborately decorated, truly magnificent and exceptionally luxurious.

The spacious venue was adorned with meticulously arranged crystal chandeliers, creating a sophisticated ambiance.

Inside the opulent banquet hall, the sounds of guests chatting and laughing created a vibrant atmosphere. Many people had already arrived, making the space somewhat crowded.

Guests stood in small groups, engaging in lively conversations.

"Isn't that the third-rate diva?" Du Huaijin, sharp-eyed, immediately spotted the celebrity. Not long ago, she had mocked the Ox God King, only to be utterly humiliated and labeled "third-rate" by Chu Feng.

Many familiar faces were present, including once-popular actresses who, even if never met in person, had been seen on screen. They circulated among the VIPs.

"Quite a few important figures," Ye Qingrou noted. She was very familiar with such events and felt completely at ease, identifying high-ranking executives from various conglomerates.

"Look, even Lin Yeyu is here," she pointed out to Chu Feng.

A key figure from Celestial Organisms was also in attendance; he was Lin Nuoyi's uncle.

Lin Yeyu appeared to be in good spirits, standing and chatting with a group of people, occasionally laughing, clearly enjoying himself.

Chu Feng didn't focus much on him, instead looking at the woman by his side. She had a good figure, and her red evening gown made her appear even more alluring.

Xu Wanyi, clearly perceptive, had already noticed Chu Feng. As he looked her way, a glint appeared in her eyes. Without a word, she slowly turned away.

"Hey, aren't you Chu Feng, the Ox God King? This is amazing, meeting you here! Quick, let's take a photo together!" Just then, two teenage girls rushed over, their eyes wide with excitement as they faced Chu Feng.

"Boss, you're on your own! We're off to admire some beauties," Du Huaijin and Ouyang Qing declared, somewhat disloyally, before turning and disappearing into the crowd.

Ye Qingrou, with a brilliant smile, glanced back and then gracefully walked away, leaving him to it.

Chen Luoyan threw up his hands, indicating his helplessness, and likewise vanished into the throng of guests.

Chu Feng, resigned, posed for photos with the two girls. Before he could even think of escaping, more curious individuals approached him, striking up conversations even if they hadn't met him before.

"Brother Chu, what exactly is your relationship with Jiang Luoshen?" a young man asked with a laugh, directly posing the question.

"I saw Jiang Luoshen is here too, just over there!" chirped one of the girls who had asked for a photo, pointing into the distance.

Chu Feng began to regret attending, anticipating trouble.

"Chu Feng?" At that moment, an unfamiliar voice called out. A very handsome man, appearing to be in his mid-to-late twenties, approached, holding a wine glass.

"And you are?" Chu Feng asked, not recognizing him.

The man was composed, walking slowly. His handsome features carried a seasoned maturity, clearly indicating he was no ordinary individual. Peculiarly, there was a vertical mark between his eyebrows.

This mark lent him an unusual charm!

"My name is Mu Tian, I am Mu's elder brother," he introduced himself directly, revealing a calm and collected demeanor.

He made no attempt to conceal his identity after approaching Chu Feng, immediately stating his lineage.

Chu Feng's pupils constricted slightly. This was Mu's elder brother? He had become an anomalous being twenty-one years ago and was rumored to be unfathomable. Chu Feng hadn't expected to encounter him at an event like this.

Mu Tian was indeed remarkable—calm and collected. On his handsome face, the vertical mark between his eyebrows seemed to emanate a strange power, giving him a mysterious aura.

"Your performance in the Battle of Mount Taihang was impressive; I personally admire it," Mu Tian said, shaking his head. "However, you killed my brother Mu, and that is a debt that makes things difficult for me."

"I hope there's a way to resolve this," he said with a smile, patting Chu Feng's shoulder before walking away.

Chu Feng was surprised; this Mu Tian was clearly no ordinary man.

The man handled the situation with remarkable ease, speaking only a few brief words without any hint of aggression.

"Who was that? Mu Tian? Could he be *that* formidable young man from Celestial Organisms, the one shrouded in mystery and said to have single-handedly killed a rampaging elephant in his teens?"

"It's him. No one has truly understood his background; 'unfathomable' is the only word to describe him."

Nearby, two individuals were whispering, their conversation focused on Mu Tian.

Chu Feng observed several exceptionally striking young individuals, surrounded by numerous admirers as if they were the center of attention.

He surmised they were likely the transformed descendants of beast kings, prompting a wave of reflection in him about the astonishingly rapid rise of these anomalous beings.

He didn't approach them. Instead, he grabbed a glass of wine and some food, then headed towards a quieter spot, preferring to avoid the crowd.

Someone with a similar preference for discretion happened to walk over, sat beside him, and smiled, "Are you Chu Feng?"

"And you are?" Chu Feng asked, surprised.

The young man had silver hair and was remarkably striking. He was excessively handsome, far beyond typical human males, with sharp, sword-like eyebrows and incredibly bright eyes.

His beauty wasn't delicate; it was a masculine aura. Combined with his long silver hair, he was undeniably eye-catching.

"You can call me Bai Chuan," the silver-haired man said with a radiant smile. Despite his pleasant demeanor, an oppressive aura of immense power emanated from him.

Yet, he expertly kept his power contained within himself.

"I hail from the vast Mongolian steppes," Bai Chuan stated.

Chu Feng's heart clenched. He immediately thought of a certain Beast King—the Silvermoon Wolf King!

This Beast King was renowned as the foremost expert among the anomalous beings of the northern steppes, invincible and terrifying, forcing all to submit to his boundless might. He was a supreme Beast King.

"The Silvermoon Wolf King is my grandfather," Bai Chuan said with a smile, holding nothing back.

"It's an honor," Chu Feng replied politely. In truth, he was unsure how to interact with this powerful anomalous being, or what his intentions were.

Given that Chu Feng had killed the Azure Wolf King, he worried that if Bai Chuan knew, he might become hostile, as they were both of the wolf clan.

Bai Chuan's eyes gleamed with fervor. "Don't be nervous," he said. "I mean no harm. I genuinely love your movie; I've watched 'Ox God King' three times already and plan to watch it a fourth!"

This utterly astonished Chu Feng, as it was completely contrary to his expectations.

He had always assumed that the descendants of beast kings would be arrogant and difficult to deal with. Yet, the first young anomalous powerhouse he met turned out to be an ardent admirer.

"I'm serious, not joking," Bai Chuan continued. "With an opportunity, we could collaborate on an even more epic and grand blockbuster. Of course, it shouldn't portray other races too antagonistically; it needs more depth. And the battles must be completely realistic—that's what makes it thrilling and inspiring!"

Bai Chuan spoke with immense passion, his silver hair falling loosely, his eyes sparkling brightly. A powerful, masculine aura emanated from him, carrying a strength that made one's heart tremble, as he enthusiastically shared his ideas with Chu Feng.

Chu Feng found the situation utterly bizarre. A young anomalous powerhouse wanted to collaborate with him on a blockbuster film? It was truly peculiar!

However, he couldn't refuse such genuine goodwill. He engaged seriously, discussing his own perspectives with Bai Chuan.

"Haha, Brother Chu, you truly resonate with me! These are excellent ideas. It seems we're destined for a great collaboration in the future!"

Chu Feng asked him why he was so determined to make a blockbuster film.

"It's a form of cultivation, you could say," Bai Chuan explained. Their purpose in coming to human society was to gain experience, to integrate and fully immerse themselves in the diverse aspects of human life.

He was very fond of "Ox God King," which is why he wanted to find a breakthrough in that genre.

"Your human activities are incredibly rich, and the sheer volume of knowledge is immense," Bai Chuan admitted. "Fully integrating into this is also a form of tempering the mind."

Many people glanced over, drawn by Bai Chuan's extraordinary presence. His silver hair shimmered, and a terrifying power seemed to emanate from him, as if he concealed a furnace within.

Bai Chuan abruptly stood up. "Alright, I'm going to leave now," he said. "We can keep in touch later. Honestly, I don't care for these kinds of events. My wolf clan is rugged, uninhibited, and wild; I feel very out of place where there are so many rules."

Finally, someone recognized him. High-ranking executives from various conglomerates, with eager smiles, approached to converse with the descendant of the Silvermoon Wolf King.

Bai Chuan politely humored them for a moment, but ultimately made a swift exit.

Many people recognized Chu Feng, but unlike the two young girls, they didn't rush over excitedly for a photo. These older individuals, often with significant backgrounds and statuses, simply didn't place importance on such trivialities.

Consequently, Chu Feng enjoyed the peace.

"Boss, who was that man just now? The descendant of the Silvermoon Wolf King?" Ouyang Qing rushed over, quite astonished.

Ye Qingrou and the others also approached, all expressing surprise. Even the prominent figures from the conglomerates hadn't managed to have a lengthy conversation with Bai Chuan, yet Chu Feng had chatted with him so congenially.

"Just a chance encounter," Chu Feng replied.

"Hmm?" He looked up, sensing a wave of hostility from a distance, thanks to his acute senses.

Over there were Xu Wanyi, Mu Tian, and several other exceptionally striking young individuals, who were the center of a crowd.

In fact, those few individuals were the absolute focal point of the entire reception, with even people of extraordinary status gravitating towards them.

Furthermore, Chu Feng noticed Jiang Luoshen among them, conversing with an exceptionally beautiful woman.

"The Beast King descendants, they're heading this way!" Du Huaijin whispered.

The gravitational center of the reception began to shift as those young individuals started walking towards Chu Feng and his friends, clearly targeting them.

Chu Feng's heart sank. Xu Wanyi and Mu Tian were standing with that group, engaged in conversation. While Chu Feng didn't fully understand Mu Tian, he knew Xu Wanyi would certainly not be saying anything positive about him.

The leading young man was strikingly handsome, with long purple hair cascading to his waist. Dressed in human formal attire, he exuded an ethereal, otherworldly charm.

He was more beautiful than most women, a truly rare male beauty.

"He's called Kong Sheng, likely a descendant of the Peacock King!" Ye Qingrou whispered into Chu Feng's ear.

This sent a jolt through Chu Feng. The Peacock King was terrifying; even the mighty old ape of Songshan admitted his inferiority. One could only imagine the Peacock King's true power and might.

The Conferred Zen Land was a site humans were determined to secure and would never abandon, yet the Peacock King dared to involve himself, consistently seeking to claim it.

In essence, the Peacock King was an invincible monarch!

Kong Sheng was exceptionally beautiful, with long purple hair, an otherworldly aura, and a slender build, making him truly striking.

Beside him stood a man and a woman. The man had thick eyebrows and large, expressive eyes, exuding a heroic aura and possessing a strong, muscular physique.

"He's Yun Fei, a descendant of the Clouded Leopard King!" Ye Qingrou informed him, clearly having gathered valuable information while moving through the reception.

"The woman next to him is Miao Fei," Ye Qingrou continued. "Her origin is unknown, but she's definitely a descendant of a Beast King."

The woman had short, refreshing hair and was very beautiful, with large, gem-like eyes that emitted a faint green glow, making her both enchanting and lovely.

Miao Fei seemed to get along well with Jiang Luoshen; they were still conversing as they walked.

"The man slightly behind them is Huang Xiaoxian; he's quite annoying!" Ye Qingrou whispered to Chu Feng, sharing the name of the last anomalous being, whose species was unknown.

Huang Xiaoxian was perhaps the only unremarkable-looking anomalous being among them. He lacked a heroic aura or handsomeness, was of average height and slender build, with yellow hair and a very pointed chin. His eyes, however, occasionally glinted sharply.

He exuded a somewhat sinister aura, and his appearance was certainly not endearing.

"You're Chu Feng, the Ox God King?" Huang Xiaoxian was the first to speak, his lips curving into a slight, dismissive smirk. Despite his unremarkable appearance, he exuded immense confidence.

"That's right," Chu Feng replied calmly.

Naturally, a large crowd followed them, surrounding the young individuals, especially Kong Sheng, who was clearly the most esteemed. High-ranking executives from various conglomerates stood nearby, deferring to him.

Xu Wanyi was also present, standing quite close to the group, a faint smile on her lips.

"I've heard much about you. Perhaps we could have a good chat," Huang Xiaoxian suggested. Despite his recent integration into human society, he had quickly adapted, and there were no communication barriers.

His eyes glinted sharply as his lean frame moved a few steps forward. Looking at Chu Feng, he said, "I hear you killed many masters from various races in 'Ox God King'?"

Chu Feng remained silent, simply watching him, recognizing this as a clear attempt to provoke.

"I'm quite interested in you," Huang Xiaoxian said with a smile, a hint of disdain in his eyes as he looked at Chu Feng. "Why don't we step outside and have a private chat?"

He had seen the film depicting the Battle of Mount Taihang, but he openly scoffed at the combat prowess of the so-called Ox God King.

"Let's just talk here," Ouyang Qing, whose keen hearing earned him the nickname 'Downwind Ear,' interjected, trying to smooth things over. "Receptions are for meeting friends; there's no need to move."

"Who do you think you are?" Huang Xiaoxian snapped, turning instantly hostile with a cold, direct tone that left no room for courtesy. "The Ox God King and I are speaking. Is this your place to interject?!"

An awkward silence fell over the group. No one had expected such a domineering and impolite outburst from him.

"You're going too far!" Chu Feng stepped forward. Ouyang Qing had spoken up for him; he couldn't let his friend be humiliated.

Du Huaijin, known as 'Thousand-Mile Eye,' was equally enraged. "My friend," he said, "this is a reception. It's best if we all remain civil."

"A joke!" Huang Xiaoxian sneered, turning to the surrounding guests. "I'm speaking with Chu Feng. Is it your place to interject? I'd like to know who those two who just spoke are. Were they invited by *you*?"

It was clear he was deliberately provoking them, looking for trouble.

The Beast King descendants were clearly ill-intentioned from the start, but Huang Xiaoxian was the most overbearing, his hostility absolute.

The reception organizers immediately broke into a cold sweat. They hadn't anticipated this turn of events and, while they didn't want to make things difficult for Ouyang Qing and Du Huaijin, they also couldn't afford to offend the Beast King descendants.

"How utterly uninteresting," Huang Xiaoxian scoffed softly. "What a pathetic reception, even common strays have managed to sneak in!" Though his words were directed at Ouyang Qing and Du Huaijin, his gaze darted towards Chu Feng, clearly intending to target him.

Anyone with an ounce of sense could see exactly what was happening!

At that moment, Ouyang Qing and Du Huaijin's faces paled, then flushed with anger. Never before had they been so publicly humiliated; the feeling was infuriating and deeply uncomfortable.

"You call them common strays," Chu Feng said coldly, his voice laced with menace, "then who are you, and what is *your* origin?!"

This was a direct challenge. Clearly, Huang Xiaoxian was an anomalous being, transformed from a bird or a beast. Revealing his true identity in such a context would be an act of self-humiliation.

"You..." Beams of light shot from Huang Xiaoxian's eyes as he glared at Chu Feng.

Ye Qingrou stepped forward, gently taking Chu Feng's arm, fearing he might act impulsively and start a fight with the Beast King descendants. "Let it go!" she whispered.

Huang Xiaoxian suddenly smiled, a somewhat sinister expression on his face. The light in his eyes intensified, now carrying a faint golden hue. "I happen to be in need of a dance partner," he said. "Beautiful lady, would you honor me?"

He was smiling at Ye Qingrou and beckoning her over.

To everyone's surprise, Ye Qingrou immediately released Chu Feng's arm and walked towards Huang Xiaoxian.

Many guests reacted with surprise and discomfort. Huang Xiaoxian's move was outrageously arrogant, publicly taking Chu Feng's companion.

"You... you're insulting us! Qingrou, come back!" Chen Luoyan could no longer bear it, shouting from behind.

Chu Feng was initially surprised, then his expression abruptly changed. With a sharp cry, he commanded, "Wake up!"

In an instant, Ye Qingrou halted, looking slightly bewildered, then gasped and quickly backed away, returning to Chu Feng's side. She stared at Huang Xiaoxian as if he were a ghost.

"Come here," Huang Xiaoxian said with a smile, the faint golden light in his eyes intensifying.

Chu Feng realized that this man possessed incredibly strong mental power, capable of manipulating people's minds.

Killing intent emanated from Chu Feng as he shielded Ye Qingrou behind him and strode forward. This individual had clearly come seeking trouble, and after repeated provocations, Chu Feng had no intention of backing down.

"You may be a Beast King descendant," Chu Feng said icily, his killing intent undisguised, "but remember, this is a human city!"
