Chapter 1049: Rare Treasure

Chu Feng dove in and, as expected, detected a delicate fragrance wafting up from cracks in the ground. The source of the so-called True Dragon Liquid was indeed deep underground.

As he made his way down, he continuously employed domain methods, repositioning all the rocks and soil behind him to erase any trace of his descent.

Chu Feng was genuinely afraid that someone or even a dragon might follow him and launch a surprise attack. It was better to explore the source of such a great fortune quietly and alone.

Continuing downwards, the fragrance grew stronger until he felt almost intoxicated. Just as the legends described, there was an ancient pool underground, emanating white light and condensing into liquid.

When this liquid accumulated to a certain extent, it would gush forth and appear on the surface.

Chu Feng was incredibly excited. This was the first time since he arrived in the Yang Realm that he had found such a rare heavenly treasure, capable of nourishing his body and tempering his internal organs to an indestructible state.

A True Dragon's physical body is incredibly resilient, capable of battling myriad races and being invincible wherever it goes. This has a strong correlation with their consumption of True Dragon Liquid and the tempering of their internal organs and bones during their infancy.

If Chu Feng were to consume this rare wonder of heaven and earth as food now, even if only for a short period, it would be astonishing, and his physical body would become immensely powerful.

"Such a large pool, it's really quite a lot," Chu Feng murmured, practically drooling as he gazed at it.

This was underground, connected to an ancestral underground vein, accumulating the essence of mountains and rivers and telluric energy, nurturing a pool filled with the quintessence of all things.

The pool was ten feet square. Inside, white light shimmered and auspicious energy gushed forth. It emitted such a rich fragrance that one felt as if they could ascend to immortality just by smelling it once, leaving their entire body feeling light and comfortable.

The liquid in the pool was silvery-white and crystalline, like jade marrow; it was this liquid that emitted the pervasive fragrance.

"Just the reserves here, I estimate, would allow me to drink a small bowl every day for more than half a year," Chu Feng said, exhilarated.

In that case, even without the rare minerals Dongqing steamed for him, the fortune here alone would be enough for him to refine his body, enabling him to achieve a physical body as strong as a True Dragon's even in his youth.

If he were to purely fight with his physical body in the future, he could make a group of opponents struggle immensely.

A dragon's body can contend with billions of living beings across all heavens!

Apart from the True Dragon Liquid in the pool, there were also some substances emitting dazzling radiance, and many others, like fermented grains, were floating and sinking, some even forming flocculent matter within the liquid.

"This is... True Dragon Liquid dregs!" Chu Feng exclaimed, moved. He already knew what these were, and their value was immeasurable.

When adult dragons ventured out, they collected the essence of all things in heaven and earth and buried them within the earth veins to brew world-astonishing precious liquid. These substances were the former essences of all things.

Now, their dissolution here doesn't diminish their value, but makes them even more precious.

Just like the dregs in winemaking, they significantly influence the quality of the wine.

As the saying goes, "a thousand-year-old cellar pool, ten-thousand-year-old dregs"; the quality of the wine depends entirely on the age of the cellar pool.

The True Dragon Liquid is the same: the more ancient and numerous the rare heavenly materials accumulated in the pool, the better the effect of the precious liquid fermented by the earth veins.

Some dragon clans reside in one place for generations, and through successive generations, the amount of various paste-like substances accumulated in their dragon pools is immeasurable, making them worldly treasures.

With such a True Dragon Liquid pool, even if later generations of dragons only collect a small amount of heavenly essence and place it into the earth veins, with the old dregs from previous years as a base for fermentation, they can obtain True Dragon Liquid of excellent quality!

This place was a large dragon nest, with thirteen young dragons born in the last one or two years alone. One could imagine the strength and numerousness of this clan, having likely multiplied over countless generations.

Furthermore, a very ancient Heavenly Dragon had even appeared here!

One can imagine how ancient the True Dragon Liquid pool here must be; it was a truly priceless ancient pool.

"If only I could move this away," Chu Feng mused, "Then, whenever I wanted, I could just throw in some exotic fruits and divine herbs. Wouldn't I be able to drink dragon milk every day? It could temper me into an invincible physical body."

Chu Feng muttered to himself, his face truly rippling with excitement and his heart full of agitation.

Unfortunately, he knew it would be difficult to achieve. Even if he did move it, once it left the dragon clan's territory, such a pool would be useless, and it would be impossible to brew True Dragon Liquid again.

Throughout history, experts have emerged continuously on the primeval lands of the Yang Realm. It wasn't that Celestial Venerables hadn't taken action; even mighty beings had raided dragon nests, hoping to find dragon pools to brew True Dragon Liquid themselves and cultivate their descendants.

However, after obtaining a dragon nest, they all failed when trying to brew True Dragon Liquid. There have been few successful cases throughout history.

Furthermore, dragons are extremely fierce. There have been successes in raising them in captivity, but when it comes to having them brew precious liquid, without exception, once they lose their ferocious dragon nature, they can no longer brew this supreme precious liquid.

After searching through all historical records, only one lineage had succeeded.

That was the Great Dream Pure Land. It's unknown what methods they used, but during their peak era, they obtained a dragon nest and were actually able to artificially brew the rare and precious liquid.

This also led to them becoming incredibly powerful during that period, dominating the world, and thus becoming ambitious, setting their sights on the ultimate breathing techniques of other top ten lineages.

Unfortunately, they were eventually annihilated, and the Great Dream Pure Land became a wisp of smoke in history.

Throughout history, only the Great Dream Pure Land of that era succeeded. Other clans, even with mighty beings personally intervening, found it useless and were unable to brew True Dragon Liquid.

"Presumably, it is precisely because of this," Chu Feng mused, guessing, "that even Celestial Venerables didn't thoroughly investigate deep underground, nor did they take the dragon pool."

But he was still a little unconvinced. Why was the Great Dream Pure Land able to succeed?

"Never mind," he decided, "I'll move it first and put it into the stone jar for preservation!"

Once this substance leaves the dragon nest, it will spoil. The sediments and pasty dregs in the dragon pool would disintegrate, corroded by the mundane world, requiring an ultimate artifact to suppress them.

Chu Feng believed that the stone jar he carried would be fine.

"I'll put it away for now," he thought. "Later, I'll make a trip to the ruins of the Great Dream Pure Land in the Yang Realm, and perhaps I'll find some clues."

Chu Feng took a satisfying gulp of True Dragon Liquid by the pool. White light steamed, baptizing his physical body, making him feel as if a ball of fire was scorching his entire body.

Instantly, his five internal organs vibrated in unison, emitting brilliant light that surged out of his body.

His internal organs were strengthening, affecting every part of his body and dramatically increasing the activity of all his cells.

"It's truly instantaneous!" he exclaimed. "My physique is improving, becoming stronger!"

One can imagine how astonishing the benefits would be for a young dragon in its "nursing" period, drinking this every day.

Chu Feng thought that if he couldn't brew it himself, he would have to find another dragon nest to ensure he could drink "dragon milk" throughout his entire infancy.

"Oh, there's another hidden world?!" he exclaimed.

He noticed something unusual: from a crack in the rock connected to the dragon pool, faint rays of light emerged, more intense than before. Upon closer inspection, the fragrance was also more alluring.

He carefully moved the stones aside and then saw another pool. Its white light was dazzling and incomparably sacred!

This was a small pool, three feet square, but it was even more radiant, brilliant, and sacred than the ten-foot-square dragon pool. Its rich fragrance was intoxicating, making one feel as if a single whiff could extend their life by a hundred years.

It took Chu Feng a long time to regain his senses. He noticed that the sediments in the small pool were even more astonishing, with liquid flowing out and occasional flocculent matter slipping from it.

"Are the sediments and precious liquid in the ten-foot-square dragon pool formed because of this small pool?" Chu Feng was deeply shocked.

He observed carefully and confirmed that this was indeed the case: after the dragon clan collected the essence of all things in heaven and earth, they first placed it in the small pool, from where the precious liquid was fermented.

Once that pool overflowed, it flowed into the large pool, thus creating the second dragon pool.

"This is the true treasure!" he declared.

Chu Feng spent a long time studying by the small pool, convinced that this object was terrifyingly ancient.

Finally, he dug out the small pool. The small pool itself was made from a special, dull grey stone, carved into a pool by an ancient dragon from an unknown era. Its walls were incredibly hard and sturdy, comparable to mother gold.

Chu Feng dug it out whole and lifted it, as if unearthing an irregularly shaped stone basin.

He quickly put the entire piece into a jade spatial bottle, and then placed the bottle into the stone jar.

Normally, spatial artifacts are difficult to place inside other spatial artifacts, but the stone jar couldn't be judged by ordinary standards and had no such restrictions.

"Taking this small pool is enough," he thought. "Later, I must visit the ruins of the Great Dream Pure Land and strive to uncover the secret of how they could brew dragon milk!"

As for the ten-foot-square dragon pool, Chu Feng only collected the True Dragon Liquid, completely emptying it, but he did not move the entire pool.

He thought that if a Celestial Venerable eventually became interested and came down to excavate the pool, finding it gone might cause all sorts of trouble. It was more appropriate to leave a pool for them.

Next, Chu Feng departed, changing his location and hiding deep within a grotto. He began to gulp down the True Dragon Liquid.

That day, he ate his fill, consuming a full sixth of the True Dragon Liquid. It was truly like a whale swallowing or an ox drinking, so much that his physical body felt like it was about to burst.

Such lavish expenditure was mainly because he felt too insecure in the dragon nest, not strong enough, and hoped to temper a precious body in a short time using the True Dragon Precious Liquid.

"You were either raised in immortal caves or consumed great creations of heaven and earth," he muttered. "I, however, will rely on myself, and I can still become strong."

Chu Feng mumbled; he really wanted to kill Gouwa and slay Taiwu's successor to vent his frustration.

After consuming a sixth of the True Dragon Liquid, his entire body glowed, eventually forming a cocoon around him. He then became drowsy and fell into a deep slumber.

In the end, the cocoon became smooth, lustrous, and crystalline, transforming into an eggshell-like substance, resembling a dragon egg!

The True Dragon Precious Liquid had too potent an effect; he had drunk too much in one day, leading to astonishing changes!
