Chapter 1037: Great Chaos Approaches at the Border Wilderness

The moonlit night was devoid of light, its usual white radiance obscured by a dark mist. The entire mountain forest appeared chillingly cold, and all the fierce birds and beasts within were silent, not a sound to be heard.

"Go to sleep!" Holly instructed, as she needed to perform a ritual to contact her young lady.

Seeing her so serious, Chu Feng knew it was futile to ask anything now.

Nine golden lamps appeared, suspended in the void, casting a hazy yet brilliant glow over the divine temple. The nine lamps reflected off each other, interweaving their light.

Inside the hall, Holly performed her ritual, chanting incantations. Then, with a soft cry, the wicks of the nine lamps each flared up, their flames converging in the void.

After the nine flames unified, they became dazzlingly golden, finally transforming into a mirror.

Initially, the mirror was blurry, but it soon cleared, revealing the figure of the immortal maiden. She was dressed in silver battle attire, not a long dress, standing on a cliff face. Around her were dilapidated ancient halls and piles of dried yet glowing divine corpses.

She was exploring an extremely desolate region, where an astonishing number of divine corpses lay.

"Mistress, the situation here is unusual!" Holly reported.

Although Chu Feng stood outside the hall, he could hear nothing. The light curtain isolated him, ensuring the secrecy of their conversation.

In the early morning, Chu Feng stretched his limbs facing the sunrise. He then boiled minerals for himself before climbing into a steamer, entirely setting his own pace for self-stewing.

Originally, he would stew once every two or three days, but recently it had changed to once a day. He didn't resist at all; in fact, he became increasingly proactive.

He now knew that a single pot of these minerals was incredibly rare, virtually impossible to collect completely even across hundreds of thousands of miles. This was the essence condensed from vast rivers and mountains.

Forget a whole pot; even a single drop of its broth could incite great demons in the deep mountains to fight to the death, shedding blood in their struggle.

This was concentrated essence of the land.

Holly emerged from the divine temple. After Chu Feng finished his grimacing and climbed out of the steamer, she finally spoke, "Today, I will teach you a set of boxing techniques."

"Has the sun risen in the west?" Chu Feng blurted out. He usually had to pester her for a long time to learn various techniques, only to be refused every time.

"I'm afraid you'll be defeated by a single punch in the Dragon's Den and embarrass us," Holly said expressionlessly.

Chu Feng was startled. It seemed the day he entered the Dragon's Den was not far off, and it would be very dangerous?

"What exactly happened last night? What did you find at the bottom of the sinkhole?" he couldn't help but ask.

Holly's expression turned serious, and a divine light burst forth from her large, bell-like eyes, making her appear somewhat fierce. She stared at Chu Feng and said, "How do you know so much about that place?"

"What do I know?" Chu Feng looked utterly bewildered.

"Didn't you tell that old man a whole story? You made all sorts of predictions," Holly said, her expression grave.

Chu Feng soon learned what had happened. After Holly and the others entered the bottom of the sinkhole, the old man, using techniques he had seen at the Ancient Barbarian human race ruins, unsealed part of the Blessed Land.

They ventured into a cavern where immortal mist and starlight coexisted, discovering imprints that were recreations of past scenes.

There was a vine there, bearing three flowers. The first flower formed a purple-gold gourd that ascended into the sky, while the second flower formed a nether gourd that sank into the ground.

When Chu Feng heard this account, he was immediately dumbfounded!

He had been spouting nonsense at the time, trying to fool the old man, never taking it seriously, yet it actually came true?!

Though he had later considered that, in extreme circumstances, his wild talk might become reality, the chances were still only one in ten million.

"My nonsense can become reality?!" Chu Feng exclaimed.

A storm raged in his heart. He pondered carefully, realizing that it wasn't entirely made up; it might have been an intuitive reaction, as he was proficient in spatial domains and had unconsciously made deductions.

Holly then recounted the details. She and the old man delved deep into the cavern, eventually discovering the Underworld Stone Gate ten thousand *li* underground. A crack had already been open there for a long time.

"Wait a minute, what are these places you're talking about—Yin Ming, You Ming? Tell me about them," Chu Feng interrupted her, otherwise he wouldn't understand clearly.

"Accursed lands, places where the dead revive, disaster zones where departed Heavenly Venerates and great powers crawl out of their graves again!" Holly said expressionlessly.

Chu Feng felt a chill. It was indeed a perilous place, living up to the name Yin Ming.

Holly added, "Of course, this is just the surface. When individual deceased ancient great powers are buried in such places, they return as evil beings. This is only one aspect of the Yin Ming Accursed Land's function. Its deeper essence is something even powerful living Heavenly Venerates cannot fully explain."

"You pushed open the stone gate and entered Yin Ming?!" Chu Feng's expression grew serious.

In the underground Yin Ming realm, the ancient stone gate was carved with archaic patterns from an unknown era. It was silent, and upon closer inspection, a pair of shadow ravens, like gate guardians, blocked the entrance.

"After we went in, we saw a shriveled gourd in the Yin Ming realm, very similar to the imprinted gourd we saw earlier that had sunk into the Nine Netherworld."

However, the gourd was shriveled, shrunk to less than a palm's height, and accompanied by the aura of the netherworld.

At the same time, the wrinkled black gourd was seeping blood from its entire surface, which was quite terrifying.

"What does that mean? Are demons from the Ancient Barbarian era sealed in that gourd, and are the deceased great powers about to revive?" Chu Feng asked.

This was a serious problem!

What he had said last night had come true: a celestial vine, from which one was born, then bloomed three flowers, and from these three, all things came into being. What then, was sealed in the gourd that sank into the Nine Netherworld?

However, Holly's concern was not the gourd itself, but the grave soil beneath it.

"What's beneath is even more terrifying. If anything emerges from there, the borderlands will cease to exist and turn into a dead zone!"

Even the rugged Holly, with her broad face and thick nose, was now filled with worry. That's why she contacted her young lady immediately upon returning yesterday.

Chu Feng's heart tightened. He had only just arrived in this territory and was still planning to stay until he had grown a bit stronger before leaving.

He was still intermittently falling into his "womb confusion," and yet such an event had occurred.

Chu Feng felt a sense of urgency, eager to become strong quickly.

"What about the smallest gourd?"

"We didn't find it; we only brought back a dried vine," Holly said, producing a segment of vine as thick as a bucket from a spatial jade bottle. It wasn't a plant, but rather solidified mineral. Unfortunately, only a small piece, less than a meter long, was recovered; the rest had been burned away.

Holly explained, "This is the essence of the earth's ley lines, one of the main ingredients for refining the Primal Lesser Heavenly Pill."

She was very pleased, considering it the greatest gain from entering the sinkhole.

"After you entered the Yin Ming Stone Gate, didn't you search through the grave soil beneath the shriveled gourd? There might be ultimate treasures buried as funerary objects."

Hearing this, Holly slapped him on the back of his head.

"Why did you hit me?!"

"To help you train!" Holly said with a displeased expression, then began teaching him a set of boxing techniques. With just a single move, Chu Feng was astonished; this boxing technique was formidable.

Immediately, black mist emerged around Holly, and a chilling aura wafted forth. Though it was clearly the time of glorious sunrise, a persistent drizzle began to fall nearby, rustling softly.

These were black raindrops, and soon all the raindrops transformed into tiny black fish, swimming in the void.

Chu Feng realized this was a divine technique, no weaker than the Lightning Fist that Young Lady Xi had taught him, indicating its profound origins.

Each small fish transformed into a symbol, swimming nearby, emanating an intensely cold aura that made one's soul resonate and then tremble.

"What kind of boxing technique is this?" Chu Feng asked, his eyes burning with desire and hope, eager to learn it.

Holly only demonstrated the form to him, not the essence. Without her guidance, no outsider could possibly learn it.

"You can call it the Little Fish Fist!" Holly said. Secretly, she condensed spiritual energy into a beam of light, imprinting the incantation into his mind, thereby completely transmitting it to him.

"What a terrible name!" Chu Feng grumbled, feeling it lacked grandeur and failed to convey the magnificent and powerful intent of the boxing technique, thus unworthy of its divine nature.

Holly shrugged, "You can name it whatever you like. If you wish, you can call it Overlord Fist, Immortal Fist... entirely up to you."

It truly was casual! Chu Feng no longer bothered with the name and began to study the boxing technique. Before long, he started practicing the moves.

Initially, the effect was mediocre; he only grasped the form, not the essence. Holly, too lazy to watch, went to the side to meditate.

However, it wasn't long before she felt something amiss. A faint chill arose, and then she saw sporadic raindrops falling around Chu Feng, transforming into blurry black fish swimming.

Holly was deeply shaken. This kid... he was too monstrous. His comprehension was terrifying, perhaps not much inferior to her young lady's back then.

He had only just received this boxing technique, yet he was already able to grasp its true essence?

"I see! When the boxing intent takes shape, it's the Yin fish from the Tai Chi diagram!" Chu Feng muttered to himself.

At this moment, he saw the look of surprise on Holly's face and felt a little guilty. After all, his display might have been too monstrous, so he shamelessly boasted, "Seeing such a rare genius like me, appearing once in a thousand years, don't you think you should teach me the temple's highest inherited scripture—that breathing technique?"

Holly's face darkened slightly. Without a word, she walked over, picked him up, and gave him a good beating.

"Still slightly worse than Young Lady back then," she said, not forgetting to put him down after the beating.

"Black-hearted Holly!" Chu Feng exclaimed.

"Practice your boxing to avoid being beaten to death in the Dragon's Den!" Holly said, deadly serious.

According to her, in addition to the celestial nobility who had appeared, several Heavenly Venerate-level lineages were also involved, intending to send out their most monstrous disciples.

Upon hearing this, Chu Feng's heart immediately flared with murderous intent. He had never imagined that the lineage of his great enemy would be among them. He rubbed his hands together, eager to rush into the Dragon's Den at once.

"Why are people from other evolutionist sects involved?" Chu Feng asked.

Holly replied, "There isn't just one nest of young dragons here; there's a large clan. Other powerful beings closer to the borderlands have received the news and are demanding to share in the good fortune."

Chu Feng nodded, calmed himself, and once again began to study the boxing technique. The deeper he delved into its comprehension, the more engrossed he became. He wanted to break into the Dragon's Den to exact a small revenge first.

Only when the sun was high in the sky did Chu Feng stop to rest. He drank a bowl of powerful tonic—the true blood of a six-headed lion—before heading to the Ji clan tribe to visit the injured Ji Hu.

He paused, slightly stunned, seeing a beautiful figure in the distance. He had indeed encountered her: it was Lin Nuoyi, standing outside the traveling palace nestled in the distant woods.
