Chapter 1020: Not Superstitious

Soft, fair... a pair of little buns!

This was truly an eyesore. Chu Feng couldn't believe it; what had happened to his hands? They were so chubby and fleshy; when had they ever been so fat?!

What was worse, they weren't small, but pitifully tiny. These were a child's hands, all pudgy.

He felt utterly uncomfortable. He immediately understood his state: he looked about six or seven years old, clean and white all over, round and chubby, a little white fatty!

He swore he had never been fat, not once, from childhood to adulthood.

“Oh dear!” he shrieked, his voice so tender it made him want to slap himself. Was he trying to act cute? Absolutely not; this was his true voice.

He figured out what was happening: he had died many times in the stone coffin, only to be revived by the creation substance. Clearly, there were residual effects of an elixir of immortality, causing him to "reverse age."

But this kind of rejuvenation was truly shameful. How had he become a little chubby kid?

Normally, his palms were slender, but now, when he extended them, they were chubby, just like two small buns!

Chu Feng cast a mirror-light spell, revealing his full body. He was on the verge of collapse: he was fleshy, clean, and pale, transformed into an adorably chubby little boy.

Especially when he smiled, his eyes narrowed so much they almost disappeared.

He opened his mouth, wanting to say something but couldn't. Where were his clear, bright eyes? Gone, replaced by two slits after he smiled!

“Little fatty!” Chu Feng gritted his teeth.

However, he just looked like a chubby, pale little fatty pretending to be angry, feigning profundity, and shamefully trying to be cute.

“Blast it!”

Chu Feng, mortified and enraged, slammed a "fleshy fist" towards the mirror light.

But through the mirror-light spell, he saw a chubby, pale little fatty flailing his limbs, yet utterly failing to convey a fierce demeanor.

Chu Feng was on the verge of breaking down as he faced his reflection. If any acquaintances saw him like this, he would rather die.

He stumbled backward, looking dazed, as if drunk, making the little white fatty appear even more endearingly clumsy.

Damn it, what an eyesore. Chu Feng couldn't stand his current state.

Because he himself wanted to pinch that fleshy little face—such a thought was truly shameful.

“Change back! I want to recover!”

He pounded his chest and stomped his feet, constantly struggling to reconstruct his flesh and blood. Unexpectedly, he discovered a rich concentration of energy within his fair skin and flesh.

What was happening? And he couldn't waste it? This was a precipitation of divine power, a kind of accumulation.

Chu Feng, indignant and thoroughly dissatisfied, sat on the ground, seething with frustration, trying to come up with a solution.

Then, he almost burst into tears, seeing the fleshy, tender little fatty in the mirror-light spell throwing a tantrum, kicking his legs, and almost rolling on the floor.

“I am the great Demon Chu, who lords over the Underworld, forcing gods to retreat and causing ghosts to wail and spirits to howl! If anyone saw me now… what a disgrace!”

He wanted to cry. What had he become?

What's more, he saw clearly that every one of his movements was so awkward and completely out of sync with his past style and demeanor, making him want to punch that little fatty.

He truly wanted to slap himself, but… it would hurt him.

He had been reincarnated, unexpectedly crossed over, and ended up like this. It was too shameful.

Chu Feng cautiously and carefully opened the lid of the jar. He didn't know the situation outside, as the jar was no longer semi-transparent, preventing him from seeing the scenery beyond.

Instantly, he let out a scream as his entire body burned, a fiery pain, and his soul light violently fluctuated and surged.

Chu Feng quickly closed the jar. He was covered in fire—or rather, an incredibly dense Yang energy that had actually set him ablaze. This shocked him.

He was a Divine King, yet upon reincarnating and arriving in the Yang Realm, he began to spontaneously combust?

His face turned green, and his mind raced. Could it be that the Ultimate Land of the Cycle was settling scores with him, and things weren't over yet?

Chu Feng considered all possibilities, unable to forget the series of terrifying and bizarre experiences on the path of reincarnation, filled with malevolence and various mysteries.

It was supposed to be a place of reincarnation, yet it contained things like the Sea of Mortals and the Thirty-Three Heavens Grass, truly exuding an extraordinary aura.

“Hmm, I've gotten a bit thinner?!” he exclaimed in surprise. After a period of intense suffering, he was no longer so bloated.

Chu Feng pondered. Logically, since he had reincarnated into the Yang Realm and successfully evaded the death tribulation, it should be normal for him not to be targeted anymore.

“Oh, I understand now! It’s because I brought my physical body with me. Walking through the path of reincarnation, before entering that vortex, I must have accumulated a large amount of Yin energy!”

What place could be heavier in Yin energy than the Underworld? What place more mysterious than the Ultimate Land of Reincarnation? He had brought his physical body through the entire journey, so he must have accumulated dense Yin Realm energy.

In fact, it could be said that this special substance was many times more concentrated than the total he had accumulated in the universe where Earth was located.

“So, as soon as I arrived in the Yang Realm, it was like heavenly thunder igniting earthly fire, triggering a violent backlash. The Yang energy wants to burn me, a Yin spirit? The rules of the Yang Realm are truly comprehensive and not simple.”

Chu Feng felt a considerable sense of relief. As long as it wasn't the Ultimate Land of Reincarnation settling scores with him, everything was manageable. He had been tormented terribly on that path, and those experiences still left him with lingering fear.

When he lifted the lid again, a burst of fiery light rushed in directly, making Chu Feng grimace. His flesh sizzled, and a misty Yin aura rose.

He felt a chill. No matter how he looked at it, it seemed like a Yin corpse was being incinerated, with Yin energy permeating the air. Was his physical body really that terrifying?

In the Yang Realm, he truly seemed like a ghost.

But he was a Divine King; how could he feel such intense pain?

Chu Feng burst out and understood the situation: he was underground, where magma boiled, and a strange cluster of fiery light enveloped the area, burning both the stone jar and him.

Undoubtedly, when the stone jar flew across the Yang Realm's land, it eventually crashed deep underground.

He immediately understood: there was an inexplicable earth-fire here, already within the Yang Realm's domain, and combined with the strange flame, he couldn't avoid suffering.

Chu Feng, carrying the stone jar, decisively made a run for it, surging towards the surface.

If one possessed a heavenly eye, they would see a little white fatty sprinting like a thief underground, rushing all the way out from beneath the earth, appearing on the primordial land.

Just as he emerged from the surface, before Chu Feng could even appreciate the vastness of the Yang Realm and the grandeur of the land, his scalp tingled. A blinding flash of light appeared in the void, followed by a boom, and a bolt of lightning struck him, leaving his entire body scorched black, even his mouth twitching.

“Are fat people really so unwelcome?!” he fumed.

He had just manifested in the Yang Realm's land and immediately took a sucker punch. It was excruciatingly painful and made him extremely unhappy.

With a whoosh, his entire body caught fire, ignited by the lightning, because thunder was the most masculine substance, even more terrifying than the Yang energy wandering between heaven and earth.

Chu Feng felt his head swell; this was simply the most agonizing torture.

He looked up at the sky. There was no rain, the sky was clear for thousands of miles, yet there was thunder!

Another bolt of lightning struck, making his vision go black, his body convulse, and electric arcs scatter. This was certainly not a pleasant memory or experience.

He immediately realized that this lightning was not random; it was a heavenly tribulation!

As a visitor from the Yin Realm who had escaped from the Ultimate Land of Reincarnation, his body was saturated with dense Yin energy. This was detected by the rules of this primordial land, which then exacted punishment.

To the Yang Realm, he was a monstrous anomaly. Having just arrived from the Yin Realm, he was bound to be struck by lightning.

It was like ancient beasts in the mountains becoming spirits: to successfully evolve, they first had to pass through a lightning tribulation.

“This is discrimination! What about all beings being equal, and all realms being one? This is how you give me my first lesson.”

Although he exclaimed this, he knew in his heart it was as clear as day: he had escaped from the depths of the Underworld, so it would be abnormal *not* to be struck by lightning.

A lightning bolt, a fusion of black and white, descended, changing Chu Feng's expression. He immediately turned and plunged underground, but he was still struck, exploding deep within the earth's layers.

That was Yin-Yang lightning, terrifyingly fused together. Even with his Divine King body, Chu Feng couldn't withstand it and was almost obliterated.

A long time passed before Chu Feng managed to reconstruct his physical body and soul light. He was still shaken; entering the Yang Realm and not being recognized by this primordial land was indeed perilous.

This wasn't simply a tribulation; it was an inexplicable flow of Great Dao fragments, aiming to obliterate a creature like him who had escaped reincarnation.

He mused that he should quickly get rid of the Yin energy within his body, so he would be no different from the creatures of this world, and accept the baptism of abundant Yang energy.

Alternatively, if he embarked on the path of the strongest, he could also be fearless of the corresponding heavenly tribulations.

“Strange, no creature is undergoing tribulation. Could it be an earthquake?” Someone on the ground spoke.

They were two hunters, passing through this mountainous area and coming over to observe.

Chu Feng was surprised. The hunters in the Yang Realm were not weak evolvers; they were much stronger than ordinary people, truly not simple.

He needed to thoroughly understand this primordial land; it was a grand and unfamiliar world to him.

“Something's odd. Is the terrain of these mountains astonishing, or is the Yang Realm's land inherently extraordinary, capable of protecting me from further lightning strikes?”

Chu Feng was surprised. He waited for a long time, but no lightning descended.

This was good; it prevented him from drawing external attention and being discovered.

However, he indeed needed to undergo tribulation, but it couldn't be done under such a clear sky. He should choose a stormy day to conceal it.

Chu Feng thought for a moment, then plunged back into the depths of the earth, intending to use that special earth-fire to refine his Yin energy. It wasn't strictly necessary to use lightning tribulation for purification; the ultimate Yang fire light could also work.

Deep underground, the magma pulsed with crimson light, containing scorching Yang energy. Moreover, a vibrant red earth-fire, like an orchid in full bloom, was radiating there.

Nearby, all the rock walls and stones were black, with a faint dark luster.

“This is truly torture.”

Chu Feng actively subjected himself to burning, grimacing. For a time, his flesh and blood caught fire, his soul light crackled, and large areas of Yin mist were refined away.

He felt this was practically self-abuse, but he had no choice but to proceed!

This was not something that could be accomplished overnight. He had to proceed slowly, otherwise, Chu Feng would be burned to a crisp. This earth-fire was clearly extraordinary.

And so, Chu Feng burned himself for a period each day, and his Yin energy gradually diminished.

“Hmm, I’ve actually lost weight in a roundabout way?” he discovered in surprise. In just over ten days, he had already slimmed down and was no longer a little chubby child.

“Melt more, burn more!”

After a few more days, Chu Feng was on the verge of tears. Not only had he gotten thinner, but he had also gotten smaller, transforming from six or seven years old to four or five.

The creation substance within him, such as the residual medicinal properties of the Thirty-Three Heavens Grass, was still at work and hadn't completely disappeared. This kind of reverse aging was somewhat terrifying.

A month later, Chu Feng’s face turned green. He had become about two years old, toddling around. He couldn't help but look innocent and pure, but he really wanted to say that this appearance... was incredibly shameful!

“I refuse to believe it! Can you really reverse my age until I cease to exist? I want to see what I'll ultimately become, what state I'll end up in!”

Chu Feng's stubbornness kicked in. He defied the odds, wanting to see what would happen in the end.
