Chapter 137: Earth Wolf King Army Senior Elder

Horrified screams and curses erupted from the overturned earth in the distance. Shi Liuyu was thrown up like a mud monkey, then fell back to the ground, his body completely out of his control.

In mid-air, long rivers of magical energy snaked and swirled, like intelligent flood dragons, coiling around him and pressing him down.

"Roar!"

At this critical moment, Shi Liuyu let out a long cry, green flames erupting from his pores and shooting skyward. He spat out an axe-shaped artifact; its crimson blade radiated countless profound scriptures, cutting towards the rivers of magical energy that enveloped him.

With a flash, Lord Yin appeared in mid-air, piercing through all the scriptures and seizing the axe-shaped artifact.

With a bang, Shi Liuyu could not withstand the dozens of rivers of magical energy. His emaciated body was forcefully pinned back to the ground. The more he struggled, the tighter he was bound. He gasped for breath, his bones creaking.

Shi Liuyu wailed loudly, "I submit! I give up! Please withdraw your spell!"

On another nearby hill, Li Weiyi gazed at the shockingly broken land where Shi Liuyu was suppressed. His heart was shaken, and emotions surged within him.

With a mere wave of his hand, he had turned the world upside down and subdued even a top-tier figure.

How profound was Lord Yin's cultivation? Shi Liuyu was already unfathomable; he could escape hundreds of feet in an instant, and the green flames cultivated within him could scorch the earth, yet he couldn't even retaliate.

Yin Er, Yin Shi San, Yin Er Shi San, and Yin Er Shi Si watched with eager eyes, filled with longing and aspiration.

Lord Yin, holding a five-foot-long crimson battle-axe, walked over. "Not running anymore?" he asked.

"Can't run away!"

Shi Liuyu was filled with regret, wanting to slap himself repeatedly.

He knew then he shouldn't have tracked them down, or even come to this immortal realm space. Upon reflection, the root cause was sending Li Weiyi to the Hidden Sect, which had brought this great disaster upon himself.

Lord Yin said, "Since you're being honest, help him remove the Six Desires Talisman first."

"No!"

Shi Liuyu desperately shook his head, clenching his teeth. "If I don't help him remove the Six Desires Talisman, this Dharma King might still live. But if I do, I'll surely die."

Lord Yin's gaze darkened slightly. He pressed the battle-axe against Shi Liuyu's chest, pushing his ribs down to their limit. "This Lord only needs to exert a little more force, and over a dozen of your bones will break. Your lungs and qi sea will likely be destroyed as well."

Shi Liuyu's face swelled, turning purple then red, his eyes bulging, but he still refused to yield.

"Unexpectedly, he's still a tough one."

This barbarian rogue, resembling a lustful starving ghost, showed an unexpected level of stubbornness to Lord Yin.

So, he picked up the battle-axe and positioned its edge between Shi Liuyu's legs. "For someone like you, castration would probably be worse than death, wouldn't it?"

"You..."

Shi Liuyu was terrified but quickly regained his composure, wailing miserably, "Cut it off then, it's no big deal. Ever since I emerged from the Wolf Den all those years ago, this thing has been useless. What's the point of keeping it?"

Enduring immense humiliation and a loss of dignity, his old wounds were brutally reopened. With tears in his eyes, he chanted, "Spring departs, but flowers remain. People come, yet birds are not startled."

Li Weiyi, knowing the meaning of the Wolf Den, quickly came up behind Lord Yin. "Don't believe him! This Six Desires Dharma King was still scheming against Yang Qingxi just a few months ago!"

Shi Liuyu retorted, "Nonsense! It was clearly you who wanted the reward, wanting to make her 'streams trickle'."

Li Weiyi felt surprised glances turning towards him and quickly said, "Slander! He's slandering me! They were the ones who insisted on giving a reward."

"At the Changlin Gang's residence, didn't you actively demand it? I remember it perfectly clear!" Shi Liuyu roared.

Li Weiyi felt as if he had shot himself in the foot. This matter was difficult to explain clearly, and the more he tried, the more likely it was to be misunderstood. He calmly stated, "I was just putting on an act."

After saying this, he quickly retreated.

Then, Yin Er Shi Si beside him suddenly whispered, "What does 'streams trickle' mean?"

Li Weiyi wasn't sure if she truly didn't understand or if she was being deliberate. He replied, "Yang Qingxi and I are sworn enemies. If she ever falls into my hands, I'll make her bleed profusely and shed tears like a river."

Both Yin Er and Yin Shi San's expressions became very unnatural.

Yin Er Shi San solemnly said, "It's not that simple. Yang Qingxi's cultivation is quite impressive. As a Nine Springs Pure Immortal Physique, she's likely the foremost talent among the sect's younger generation, and her intelligence and methods are exceptional. Making her 'streams trickle' will be no easy feat."

"Are you really that clueless?" Li Weiyi stared at Yin Er Shi San, his own expression instantly becoming unnatural. He really didn't want to get entangled in this topic.

Yin Er suggested, "Why not plant a Six Desires Talisman on him too?"

Shi Liuyu's face turned pale with fright. He quickly said, "I'm really not lying! At a moment of life and death, which man would confess such a humiliating and dignity-destroying hidden ailment? Would you? Would you... Would any of you? If Your Excellency swears an oath by the Gods of Jiuli to spare my life, I will immediately help him remove the Six Desires Talisman."

Lord Yin did not make an oath, nor did he implant the Six Desires Talisman. Instead, he suddenly looked up.

The entire grassland was unusually quiet.

Even the wind had vanished!

"Rumble!"

The ground began to tremble slightly, growing increasingly violent.

After a few breaths, the earth became like undulating waves. Standing on it, they felt as if they were sometimes on a mountaintop, sometimes falling into a deep valley.

"Growl! Growl! Growl..."

From beneath the earth came deep, muffled roars, like wolf howls, tiger growls, or dragon cries.

Shi Liuyu, still pinned to the ground, his eyes lit up with joy, then he burst into hearty laughter. "You're dead! You're all dead! Hahaha!"

"Boom!"

Dozens of yards away, two small hills exploded, sending large amounts of soil and grass flying skyward.

Eight colossal dragon-headed bronze wolves, as large as mountains, burst out of the ground side by side, emitting a strong stench of blood. Each one was twenty to thirty meters long, with sharp fangs and teeth, exuding an aura of explosive power.

They had formidable dragon-like heads, wolf bodies, and their entire forms were covered in ancient bronze scales, with flames burning in their eyes.

The members of the Hidden Sect stood before them, appearing as tiny as matches.

These creatures had absorbed dragon souls and ingested the blood of more than one ancient immortal beast. In the Earth Wolf King's army, they were known as "Earth Dragons," always victorious in sieges and assaults.

"Clank! Clank! Clank!"

The sound of chains echoed through the sky.

Each of the eight Earth Dragon Wolves had two thick, bowl-sized magical chains around its neck, connected to a carriage the size of a palace that emerged from underground behind them.

The carriage, seven zhang square, was an artifact itself, resembling a grand mansion enveloped in bright scriptures and glowing magical energy.

The aura from inside the carriage was as powerful as a god descending, even more potent and intimidating than that of all eight Earth Dragon Wolves combined.

The one driving the carriage was Shi Jiuzhai.

His robust and upright figure stood proudly on the four-foot-wide platform outside the carriage. Holding a long whip crackling with purple lightning, he laughed heartily, "Liuse, has satisfying the heavens no longer been enough for you? Are you now testing the tightness of the earth's fissures?"

Shi Liuyu, still pinned and unable to move, roared, "Stop the damn chatter and attack already! I'm almost dead from this! Great Master, save me!"

The expressions of all the Hidden Sect members changed drastically.

Yin Er and Yin Shi San, with their higher cultivation and greater understanding of the world, didn't even dare to breathe heavily.

Even Li Weiyi, a martial cultivator who had only been in this world for a few months, knew of the "Great Master's" formidable reputation. He was the second-in-command of the Earth Wolf King's army, and most of the time, he was the one in charge, coordinating and deploying all matters.

Li Weiyi secretly glanced at Lord Yin, and seeing the calm in his eyes beneath the metal mask, he finally composed himself.

Although clearly inside the carriage, the Great Master's voice came from all directions, flat and indifferent: "As expected of the Hidden Sect of millions of ancient clans. Just a slight reveal of your power brings forth a figure like you. How should I address you?"

Lord Yin replied, "Lord Yin."

"Lord Yin," the Great Master continued, "I was invited to travel thousands of miles to meet you. Is it not time for you to board the carriage and meet me?"

The Great Master's voice carried an assertive tone, his words sharp, clearly intending to seize more initiative before the secret negotiation.

Lord Yin did not board the carriage. With his hands behind his back, he smiled, "In Lizhou, the Jiuli clan are the true masters. If the Great Master has come as a guest, we welcome you wholeheartedly. If as an enemy... I'm afraid you won't be able to return to Shuzhou!"

"Haha, what big talk."

After a brief silence following the laughter, a sudden thunderclap seemed to erupt from flat ground within the carriage: "Your Jiuli clan has no sincerity whatsoever!"

Lord Yin took a two-foot-long metal box from his spatial pouch and held it in his palm. "Sufficient benefits are sincerity."

The Great Master's anger subsided, and his voice quickly chimed in, "Is what's in that box...?"

Lord Yin said, "Exactly. It's the supreme treasure the Heavenly King has always longed for. Of course, if the Great Master is interested, you may claim it for yourself."

Inside the carriage, the Great Master, dressed in a gold-trimmed official's robe, was playing chess by himself, holding the black pieces.

Across from him, a single hand was suspended in the air.

Only a forearm and a hand were playing chess with him.

The Great Master's fingers paused, then he returned the pieces to the jar. He realized that his opponent was incredibly intelligent, and he was already being led by the nose in this negotiation, perhaps even walking into a trap.

He regarded Lord Yin with utmost seriousness. After a moment of contemplation, he asked, "Are you certain you want to discuss such an important matter in front of a group of juniors?"

Lord Yin replied, "Everyone in the Hidden Sect is trustworthy. This Lord can guarantee it with my life."

The Great Master naturally understood that his opponent had once again thrown the problem back to him.

If he continued to insist that Lord Yin board the carriage to meet him, it would imply a lack of trust in Shi Jiuzhai and Shi Liuyu.

However, this matter was too significant to risk any leaks. Lord Yin might dare to guarantee with his life, but he couldn't take such a gamble.

"Youngsters are just youngsters; they always like to speak too boldly, as they haven't yet faced a major setback." The Great Master subtly tried to assert dominance with his words, then changed his tone and chuckled softly, "Lord Yin, please, board the carriage for a discussion!"

Although he had successfully forced his opponent to board the carriage by means of an invitation, Lord Yin felt no joy.

The opponent's address as "youngster" clearly meant he had seen through Lord Yin's disguise and age. This revealed the Great Master's terrifying discernment, experience, and cultivation.

Lord Yin was certainly not young, but it depended on who he was being compared to.

Stepping onto the Earth Dragon Wolf carriage, Lord Yin, holding the metal box, pushed open the door.

Looking in from the outside, the interior was pitch black. All light was completely swallowed, as if one would fall into an abyss upon entering, never to emerge again.

Another display of intimidation!

Lord Yin did not hesitate, walking in with a leisurely stride.

"What does this mean?"

Shi Liuyu, now free, quickly stood up and squinted his eyes, looking at the Great Master's "Eight Dragon Chariot."

Shi Jiuzhai, seated outside the carriage, spread his palms towards him, indicating he also didn't know.

All the Hidden Sect members, including Yin Er, who was in charge of their external affairs, looked bewildered.

How long had Lord Yin been in contact with the Great Master? It hadn't been through him, so which channel was used? It seemed the Hidden Sect had another operational mechanism.
