Chapter 950: Cold Night Blood Rain

In the darkness outside the city, deafening roars grew louder and louder, as massive monsters emerged from the shadows.

The people in the city couldn't help but grow tense. The monsters were like demons from a nightmare, the ugliest and most ferocious things imaginable. Some resembled humans covered in tentacles, others were crawling with eyes. Some looked like flowers made of flesh and blood, while others were grotesque hybrids of plants and humans, bizarre in countless ways.

However, emerging from behind them were ancient gods with bird, ox, or beast heads on human bodies, alongside enormous evil dragons, multi-headed snakes, and pot-bellied giants.

There were also strange modified creatures: giants with sharp drills for arms, and others whose bodies were covered in sharp blades, resembling walking siege engines.

A massive ship made of flesh and blood spewed thick smoke. Long arms sprouted from its deck, and countless legs propelled it from below. The ship was also covered in half-bodied humans, who were beating gongs and drums, and playing various instruments.

Amidst the music, the flesh-and-blood ship swayed and danced. Its bow opened into a gaping maw, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth that snapped open and closed, as it advanced gleefully towards the city of the Creator.

The moon appeared in the sky, casting down its light.

Eerie laughter echoed from the sky. Qin Mu looked up and saw that the moon had a human face, emitting a bizarre cackle.

Not only that, but the moon also grew arms. It pulled out a flute, crafted from a Creator's leg bone, and the face on the moon brought it to its lips, playing a cheerful melody!

Qin Mu retracted his gaze. The night in the Grand Void felt like a bizarre dream, giving a sense of absurdity and strangeness.

A colossal creature descended from the sky, landing on the city wall. It was a giant bird covered in human faces, its wings made of white bones, and it crushed half of the wall.

The numerous faces on the bird's head excitedly gazed at the few people in the city, emitting strange and peculiar laughter.

The hollow bones forming the bird's wings suddenly spewed forth air currents and flames. A sharp, piercing whistle emanated from the bones, and the air and fire propelled the monstrous bird into the sky!

Amidst the whistling, the nightmare-like demons outside the city all began to move, thundering towards the Creator's city!

“Oh my god…” a female True God trembled, staring blankly at the scene. “What kind of world is this?”

This was a world created by the Grand Void Creators.

This world was composed of divine consciousness. The Creators used their divine consciousness to envision the entire world, creating all things and civilizations. However, due to an invasion by external enemies, one of these worlds was damaged, leading to the proliferation of Grand Void inner demons.

Although the Grand Void remained intact, it lacked Youdu, the realm where the dead belonged. This led to another consequence.

The dead had nowhere to go and could only wander in the Grand Void. They then combined with the Creators' divine consciousness, giving birth to life forms unlike anything else in the world.

These Grand Void demons were formed not only from deceased Creators but also from Heavenly Court gods and devils who died in the Grand Void.

Boom! Violent tremors shook the ground. The Grand Void demons outside the city crashed into the walls, causing the seemingly impenetrable city walls of the Creator to shudder and develop alarming cracks.

However, since the city was a creation of the Creators' divine consciousness, the cracks quickly self-repaired, allowing everyone in the city to breathe a sigh of relief.

Boom, the impact sounds resumed, dull yet thunderous, one after another. The mirror-like city walls couldn't keep up with the self-repair. Suddenly, the South Gate collapsed, and the Grand Void demons outside the city poured in like a tide!

“Prepare to face the enemy!” someone shouted loudly.

At that moment, the North Gate also collapsed with a roar, followed by the East and West Gates. All were flattened by the Grand Void demons. Massive demons rampaged through the city, which now seemed to be theirs alone, leaving collapsed houses and ruins in their wake!

Thousands upon thousands of Grand Void demons surged forward like a tide. The onlookers, standing on higher ground, felt a chill in their hearts.

From an arrow tower, a woman screamed, rising into the air and flying upwards, attempting to escape the nightmare city from above.

However, as she flew into the sky, she saw the human-faced moon in the sky emit a piercing shriek. A skeletal, human-faced monster bird flapped its wings and charged towards her.

Countless more strange birds flew out from the human-faced moon, forming a dense, dark swarm. The moonlight also turned eerie, the moon itself blood-red, like a bleeding human face.

The melody played by the human-faced moon also became unusually cheerful, even somewhat mischievous.

As the music spread from the sky below, the Grand Void demons became incredibly excited.

Soon, the woman who had flown into the sky was torn to shreds by the flock of birds. Blood rained down from above, first a light drizzle, then a torrential downpour.

The blood rain fell from the sky; it was the moon bleeding. The sky looked like a painting stained red with blood, a deluge of gore covering everything!

The monstrous birds in the sky swooped down, and the dense throng of demons quickly reached Qin Mu and his companions, engulfing them!

In that moment, no one cared about their past grievances or their master's command to kill Celestial Venerable Mu. They had only one thought: to survive!

Without hesitation, Qin Mu immediately activated the Gate of Heaven's Legacy. However, what chilled his heart was that the gate wouldn't open.

Since these demons were formed from vengeful souls that died in the Grand Void, spells and divine abilities targeting souls would be most effective against them. However, the Grand Void and Youdu were not in the same space-time, making it impossible to open the gate.

“If only I could open the Gate of Heaven's Legacy, then escaping would be incredibly easy. What a pity.”

He activated his Youdu divine ability, combining his vital qi and divine consciousness to conjure a white banner. He then powerfully waved it at an ancient god-shaped demon charging towards him!

“Although I am not Brother, there are fewer than five people in this world whose Youdu divine abilities can surpass mine!”

The demon's soul immediately flew out, entering the white banner. The banner, originally blank, now contained a man.

The man was dazed and confused, his face contorted, struggling to fly out of the white banner. Although the banner was thin, being a creation of vital qi and divine consciousness, it seemed to contain an inner space.

The man's contorted face protruded from the white banner, deforming the inner space within it.

Qin Mu forcefully thrust the white banner into the ground, emitting a low growl from his throat: “Where my body is, there is Youdu!”

His vital qi burst forth, transforming into rolling Youdu demonic energy that surged out. In an instant, it swept across hundreds of acres of surrounding land, transforming it into a world of darkness.

Within his Spirit Embryo Divine Treasure, his spirit embryo primordial spirit stamped its foot heavily. Instantly, the very ground churned, heaven and earth flipped, with heaven below and earth above, and the ground beneath transformed into the world of Youdu!

Qin Mu's body merged with his primordial spirit, transforming into the three-eyed Earth Count form. His body rapidly expanded to about a hundred zhang, towering like a mountain, not much smaller than the demons.

He wielded a long flame whip, which he cracked out, coiling it around the neck of a charging demon. With a forceful flick, the demon's soul flew out and was ensnared by the whip.

The whip retracted and struck the white banner, and instantly another soul with a contorted face appeared within the banner.

The eye on Qin Mu's forehead opened, emitting a column of fire that shot forward, directly obliterating the soul of another charging Grand Void demon.

As a demon charged from behind him, Qin Mu raised his hoof and kicked it on the forehead. The Youdu demonic flames at his foot blazed fiercely, incinerating the demon's soul into ash.

Another demon rushed behind him, but Qin Mu's tail coiled around its throat, lifting it into the air, head down, feet up, and slamming it down fiercely.

The demon was dazed from the impact and was about to get back on its feet when Qin Mu's other ox hoof descended, stomping on its forehead.

The demon's head exploded with a loud crack.

In the sky, monstrous birds wheeled and swooped downwards, extending their sharp talons. Before they could land, two rays of light burst from the Earth Count horns on Qin Mu's head, transforming into two Nine Bends Yellow Springs. They coiled around the monster bird, forcefully incinerating it into a screaming bird of fire.

Suddenly, a demon slammed violently into his body. A cracking sound erupted from Qin Mu's chest, as countless bones were broken. He tumbled and rolled into a palace, crashing through it, then through another Creator's palace, knocking down giant pillars before finally coming to a stop.

His Earth Count form was broken, and he immediately reverted to his true form. He swiftly activated the Imperishable Creation Sutra to repair the damage to his physical body.

Loud rumbling sounds came from ahead. The demon that had sent him flying had collapsed two grand halls and was pursuing him. Just as it was about to crash into him again, Qin Mu suddenly seemed to melt, flattening onto the ground and rapidly moving away as a dark shadow.

The demon paused, then immediately gave chase, frantically pursuing his shadow.

Luo Wushuang was using vital qi as a blade to kill demons, but he felt overwhelmed. He glanced around covertly and saw that everyone in the city was currently in peril, with casualties and injuries.

Even True Gods who were Celestial Venerable disciples and had comprehended the Minor Heavenly Court cultivation method found it difficult to resist such an onslaught.

Suddenly, another scream echoed, as a True God was torn to shreds!

After that True God died, its soul drifted aimlessly. The next moment, flesh and blood rapidly grew around the soul, quickly transforming into a Grand Void demon that attacked others, showing no recognition of its kin!

Furthermore, Luo Wushuang noticed that even if the demons they killed were smashed or incinerated, their physical bodies would immediately reform, and they would continue to fight.

Only by utterly scattering their souls could these demons be truly killed.

However, facing such a dense horde of demons, shattering their souls was not easy. There were too many demons and too many attacks, leaving no opportunity to do so!

“It seems the only option is to pull out the Primordial Wood Core, even if it means risking the destruction of my Celestial Palace and the scattering of my soul. I must make a desperate stand!”

Luo Wushuang gritted his teeth, just as he was about to pull out the Primordial Wood Core from his glabella. Suddenly, a dark shadow glided to his feet.

The shadow rose straight up, then swayed and transformed into Qin Mu. He reached out and pulled the Primordial Wood Core from Luo Wushuang's glabella. With a flick in the wind, the Primordial Wood Core instantly expanded.

A staff about a zhang long appeared in Qin Mu's hand. Qin Mu blew on the staff and said, “Grow!”

The staff hit the ground and instantly swelled!

Boom! Luo Wushuang heard only a thunderous roar beside him, as Qin Mu pulled him up. He looked down and immediately saw a horrifying sight.

The Primordial Wood Core had transformed into an incredibly thick colossal pillar, extending from one end of the Creator's city to the other, a length of eight hundred li.

The pillar lay across the center of the city, with a diameter of over a thousand zhang, crushing countless demons to dust!

All the Creator's palaces and other buildings in the pillar's path were also leveled!

The two of them descended, while above their heads, countless monster birds flapped their bone wings, their hollow bones spewing flames, moving at extreme speed.

Qin Mu brought Luo Wushuang down, only to see the Primordial Wood Core shrink rapidly, quickly becoming a wooden needle in Qin Mu's hand.

Qin Mu casually inserted it, placing the Primordial Wood Core into Luo Wushuang's glabella. The core immediately pierced through Luo Wushuang's Celestial Palace, continuing to channel its medicinal power to heal his palace's damage.

Luo Wushuang let out a muffled groan. He hadn't felt scared when the Primordial Wood Core was initially in his glabella, but now seeing the power of this small wooden needle, he felt a sense of dread. “Weren't you worried that a slight misstep would crush my Celestial Palace too…?”

The two of them sprinted forward along the path flattened by the Primordial Wood Core, attempting to break out of the city. However, the demons that had just been crushed quickly reassembled their flesh and blood, climbing back to their feet.

Not only that, but the palace buildings crushed by the Primordial Wood Core also rapidly restored themselves, blocking their path.

Qin Mu frowned, then reached out and pulled the Primordial Wood Core from Luo Wushuang's glabella again.

Luo Wushuang was already numb, and jumped up with him.

Boom. The Primordial Wood Core once again demonstrated its power, crushing the re-emerging demons once more.

The two landed. Qin Mu retracted the Primordial Wood Core and, with a backhand, inserted it into Luo Wushuang's glabella.
