Qin Mu’s blood ran cold. The source of this divine sense was precisely the Creation Divine Stone within his third divine eye!
He had only just begun arranging the Great Dao runes of the Heavenly Stardragon True God when the prehistoric Creator hidden within the stone detected him! He had initially thought he could proceed calmly, but to his surprise, this prehistoric Creator was incredibly alert.
Qin Mu immediately made cold sweat appear on his forehead and stimulated his vital qi to make his heart pound furiously, feigning terror. He stammered, “Who? Who is in my mind?”
The cold sweat on his forehead was half genuine, half feigned. To be honest, he was truly startled, having not expected the prehistoric Creator to notice him despite his extreme caution. However, the rapid heartbeat caused by vital qi manipulation was fake; he wasn’t that vulnerable.
The obscure divine sense in his mind was silent for a moment, then pulsed, saying, “You don’t need to be so cautious, nor so deliberate. I did indeed have ill intentions towards you before, but after seeing your methods, I think it’s better to be frank. Let’s have a good talk; it might lead to a better outcome, preventing a lose-lose situation.”
Qin Mu’s heart stopped pounding, and his vital qi returned to normal. His divine sense pulsed as he chuckled, “Senior, do you understand my language?”
“No,” the divine sense replied.
“I’m merely communicating with you through divine sense. When divine senses clash, meaning can be conveyed without language. Young friend, I was at fault earlier for trying to harm you secretly. You also don’t need to try and harm me secretly; we can cooperate for mutual benefit!”
Qin Mu’s spirit embryo frantically channeled vital qi, continuing to imprint his third divine eye, allowing the second Stardragon True God imprint to take shape. He then immediately began working on the third True God.
“Senior, you jest,” Qin Mu said. “You currently have means to deal with me, but I have none to deal with you. How can we possibly cooperate for mutual benefit?”
Qin Mu’s divine sense pulsed as he continued imprinting, chuckling, “Senior, you almost took all my vital qi and energy, nearly killing me. Cooperation is possible, but I must first possess the means to protect myself before we can discuss it. What is your name, senior?”
The divine sense replied, “My name is Shujun. I was from Fang Bo Kingdom... but never mind. My race is extinct, so why mention my former identity? Young friend, even if you complete your arrangement, you won’t be able to do anything to me.”
Qin Mu continued his arrangement, saying, “Even if I can’t harm you, senior, it will at least make me feel more at ease.”
He deliberately omitted some Great Dao runes for the Stardragon True Gods, leaving various flaws, precisely to make the prehistoric Creator believe he was helpless against him. Once he completed the Great Dao runes for all 360 Stardragon True Gods, he could instantly fill in the missing parts. At that point, he would gain the upper hand!
Shujun, the divine sense, allowed him to continue his arrangement, saying, “I merely wish to revive; I truly have no ill intentions. If you can lend me some vital qi and divine sense to aid my resurrection, I can gift you this Primordial Stone. Do you know the origin of this stone? This divine stone is from the dawn of primordial times. We searched the entire universe and only found one, which was taken by the Primordial Emperor Juyu.”
Qin Mu hummed, not caring whether the stone was a Creation Divine Stone or a Primordial Stone. He chuckled, “This stone was originally mine; my senior brother found it and gifted it to me.”
Shujun was silent for a moment, then said, “There are two types of divine stones in this world: the Primordial Divine Stone and the Primordial Stone. The Primordial Divine Stone is a common rhombic crystal that can strengthen divine sense. The Primordial Stone, however, is far more powerful! I can teach you how to activate the power of the Primordial Stone, allowing you to wield strength as mighty as the Primordial Emperor Juyu’s!”
Qin Mu asked curiously, “How do I activate the Primordial Stone?”
Shujun replied, “The Primordial Stone holds endless power. After discovering these stones, we researched many ways to use them. I’ll teach you one method, and then you can decide if you want to cooperate with me. Now, let your divine sense enter the stone.”
Qin Mu frowned slightly, worried that Shujun would use this opportunity to make his divine sense flow through the altar within the stone.
Shujun said, “You can finish your arrangement first, then try it.”
Qin Mu immediately sped up. After an unknown amount of time, he finally completed the Heavenly Stardragon True God Formation, but he did not fill in the omissions.
“Now you can try it,” Shujun’s divine sense pulsed, his voice echoing in Qin Mu’s mind.
Qin Mu released some divine sense into the Primordial Stone, cautiously probing, “How do I activate the Primordial Stone?”
“The difference between the Primordial Stone and other divine stones is that what you imagine becomes reality. The stronger your divine sense, the more real the manifestation,” Shujun explained.
Shujun said, “Try imagining fire.”
Qin Mu’s thoughts stirred as he imagined fire. At that moment, the light wheel of vital qi behind his head spun, transforming the vital qi into raging flames, forming a fiery wheel. It contained divine arts, and the fire twisted, reshaping the round wheel into an oval, somewhat similar to the fiery wheel behind Fire Celestial’s head!
Qin Mu was greatly astonished. “I didn’t actively change the vital qi’s attribute; merely by thinking, this vital qi wheel transformed into a fiery wheel. How marvelous!”
Shujun said, “What you imagine becomes reality—this is the true value of the Primordial Stone. Your divine sense isn’t strong enough yet. The stronger your divine sense, the more potent the fire, and the more astonishing its power! When this stone was in Primordial Emperor Juyu’s glabella, it could even transform into world-ending flames, effortlessly incinerating planets into ash!”
Qin Mu tried to amplify his divine sense. As his indestructible divine sense surged into the Primordial Stone, the fiery power behind his head instantly escalated, growing stronger and stronger, even subtly distorting space!
At that moment, he felt some of his divine sense diminish; Shujun had seized the opportunity to steal a portion of it.
Qin Mu snorted and immediately reduced his divine sense. Shujun didn't continue stealing it, saying, “You can try other things; anything you imagine can become real.”
Qin Mu thought of the Heavenly River, and the fiery wheel instantly transformed into a Heavenly River wheel. The Heavenly River’s waters surged. The Heavenly River wheel appeared very short, with a circumference of only four or five feet, yet upon closer inspection, it seemed like a river hundreds of miles long!
“This type of wheel resembles those formed by ancient god blessings, and also somewhat similar to the wheels behind the heads of the ancient god phantoms in the Blood Rust Zone,” Qin Mu thought.
Qin Mu was astonished. The Primordial Stone revealed a completely different method of cultivation and divine arts to him.
Practitioners of divine arts rely on runes and vital qi. Divine art practitioners learn various cultivation methods, first by opening the Spirit Embryo Divine Treasure. The Spirit Embryo Divine Treasure emulates ancient gods to acquire different vital qi attributes, which is the source of Yankang’s Four Great Spirit Bodies. To master divine arts, one needs to cultivate different techniques, learn divine art runes derived from the structure of ancient gods, and construct these runes with vital qi to unleash their power. Of course, there are exceptions, such as combat techniques and sword arts, which are not structured based on ancient god runes but were created by people later on.
However, the Creators of the Primordial Era completely deviated from this. They didn’t use runes or vital qi, nor did they need to study the structure of ancient gods to devise Great Dao runes. They used divine sense. Their divine sense was naturally incredibly powerful, and amplified by the Primordial Divine Stone or Primordial Stone, it possessed inconceivable might. This was a completely different cultivation system.
His thoughts stirred again, and the Heavenly River wheel behind his head transformed into an Azure Dragon wheel, like an Azure Dragon connected head-to-tail. As it operated, dragon roars and thunder echoed, emitting strange sounds akin to the Eight Tones of Ancestral Dragon, reverberating through his body. The Azure Dragon wheel greatly boosted his physical vital qi, no less effective than when he personally activated the Eight Tones of Ancestral Dragon, perhaps even stronger.
His thoughts continued to change, and the Azure Dragon wheel transformed into a golden light wheel, emanating myriad golden rays, like a light wheel formed by countless golden swords. The golden light then turned into a Xuandu Starlight wheel, like a galaxy coiled behind his head, and immediately thereafter transformed into a Youdu Devil King wheel, a black aura forming a wheel, resembling a direct gateway to Youdu.
Not long after the Youdu Devil King wheel formed, a lamp light shone from the darkness behind the demonic wheel. An old Yama official, carrying a lantern and riding a paper boat, rushed towards them to investigate who had presumptuously opened the barrier between the real world and Youdu. However, before the old Yama official could reach him, the Youdu Devil King wheel behind Qin Mu’s head had already transformed into a Yuandu Magneto-Magnetic wheel.
“What demon dares to cause trouble?” The old Yama official found nothing, and was furious. But by the time he crossed the Youdu world barrier and arrived in the real world, the Phoenix ship had long since departed.
Qin Mu switched between various attribute light wheels at will, feeling satisfied. However, each time he activated the Primordial Stone, Shujun would steal some of his vital qi and divine sense.
“Senior Shujun, does the Primordial Stone have any other wondrous uses? Your Creator’s divine sense is incredibly powerful; this stone must be able to strengthen divine sense, right?” he probed.
Shujun did not answer, but instead said, “Now that you’ve witnessed the power of the Primordial Stone, will you cooperate with me? If you are willing to lend me enough vital qi and divine sense to help me revive, I can teach you all the methods for using and cultivating Primordial divine sense.”
Qin Mu pondered. “This divine wheel is equivalent to an ancient god’s blessing, like having a powerful divine art constantly protecting oneself, adding an extra layer of security! However, this Shujun clearly harbors ill intentions. The Primordial Stone is so valuable; if he revives, he’ll surely kill me and seize this stone.”
He narrowed his eyes. After all, a revived Shujun would be a prehistoric Creator, whose physical body alone would be enough to crush Qin Mu.
“However, if I don’t help him, I’m afraid I won’t be able to unravel the mysteries of this Primordial Stone. The Primordial Stone can not only enhance the power of my divine arts but also strengthen my divine sense and physical body. If it could be combined with current cultivation techniques and divine arts, that would be terrifying.”
Thinking this, Qin Mu chuckled, “Senior, I don’t have such vast vital qi to revive you instantly. However, I can share some vital qi and divine sense with you during my cultivation to help you recover gradually.”
Shujun chuckled, “That’s acceptable. I can also teach you one or two methods of use each time.”
“Old fox!” Qin Mu and Shujun cursed silently in their hearts at the same time.
The Phoenix ship flew at high speed, soaring through the starry sky. Along the way, it passed numerous brilliant Heavenly Palaces—the thirty-six Heavenly Palaces that comprised the Celestial Heavens. They were majestically bright, positioned at the center of various galaxies, outshining billions of other stars.
The Dragon Qilin and Yan’er came to the bow of the ship, admiring the magnificent scenery of these Heavenly Palaces and exclaiming in wonder.
Suddenly, the front blazed with light. A colossal Heavenly River flowed from the depths of the starry sky, with countless stars revolving around the wide river. This spectacle was truly magnificent! The Phoenix ship sailed onto the Heavenly River, moving upstream along it. Scattered boats could be seen on the river, emerging from the planets orbiting the Heavenly River, mostly carrying gods and their disciples.
The Phoenix ship was Emperor Chi Qixiayu’s personal conveyance, far more opulent and vast than other pleasure boats. As other boats approached, they had to yield. The Dragon Qilin and Yan’er looked around, marveling at the sacred landscapes along the banks of the Heavenly River.
Besides planets, there were also various large and small landmasses along the Heavenly River’s banks. From the river, these landmasses appeared small, but in reality, they were vast continents spanning tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of miles. These continents floated above, below, and to the sides of the Heavenly River, with some even drifting overhead. They were picturesque, lush, and inhabited by unknown races.
“Second Brother, where does the Heavenly River originate from, and where does it flow to?” the Dragon Qilin asked.
Qi Jiuyi replied, “I don’t know. However, the Heavenly River once flowed to the Primordial Realm, emptying into the Ruins of End.”
Yan’er asked curiously, “Since the Heavenly River flows to the Primordial Realm, why don’t we go upstream from there instead of taking a detour through space?”
“Going upstream along the Heavenly River would only take us in a loop around the Four Extreme Great Worlds, making it a longer journey. Moreover, we’d have to break through various world barriers,” Qi Jiuyi explained. “The Four Extreme Worlds, also known as the Four Extreme Heavens, are located at the four cardinal points of the universe and are the dwelling places of the Four Ancient Emperors. While each world is slightly smaller than the Primordial Realm, all four combined are larger than the Primordial Realm. If we were to detour through there, even the Phoenix ship would need over a decade to reach the Celestial Heavens.”
As he spoke, a brilliant golden light shone ahead, and a colossal Southern Heavenly Gate appeared before them, towering high above the central heavens.
The Celestial Heavens, finally!
Qi Jiuyi said, “Someone, go invite Cult Master Qin to disembark!”
“No need,” came Qin Mu’s voice from behind him. Qi Jiuyi was startled to hear Qin Mu’s voice from behind. He turned to see Qin Mu, who had apparently emerged from the cabin at some point, walking towards them, a halo of light behind his head, like a dragon-sparrow holding up the heavens, forming a wheel.
Yan’er was startled. “Young Master actually used my divine art! Strange, the aura he’s giving off now is like that of a pure-blooded dragon-sparrow!”
Qin Mu walked over to them, gazing up at the rapidly approaching Southern Heavenly Gate. He couldn’t help but recall a million years ago, when he and Niu Sanduo arrived at the Dragon Han Celestial Heavens, attending the grand Celestial Heavens assembly and the Jade Pool gathering, where all Nine Celestials were present, a truly spectacular event.
However, that might have been the only grand gathering where all Nine Celestials were present.
Now, Imperial Celestial had revived but was muddle-headed, Cloud Celestial was dead, Qin Celestial had hidden in Wuyou Township, Moon Celestial lived in seclusion, and You Celestial had become a Yama official of Youdu. Now, he, Cult Master Mu, had finally returned, revisiting his old home.
Where are the old friends now?
The Heavenly River flowed ceaselessly.
The Celestial Heavens was still the Celestial Heavens, but Cult Master Mu was no longer the Cult Master Mu of yesteryear. However, even without his original soul, his initial resolve remained unchanged.
Qin Mu’s heart surged with emotion. A thousand words culminated in a loud laugh that shook the Southern Heavenly Gate: “Dragon Han Celestial Heavens, Cult Master Mu has returned!”
