Chapter 914: Three-Eyed Mutation

Nine phoenixes flew from the ship, their wings stretching across the sky, shielding the entire vessel and forcefully withstanding the impact. It was Qi Xiayu's magic power, transmitted from the Primordial Realm, that saved them.

Everyone on the ship who was thrown into the air collided with the phoenixes' wings. The wings were very soft, and no one was injured.

The shockwave from the Heavenly Bell grew fiercer, making the Phoenix Ship unstable in flight as it careened wildly through the Blood Rust Zone.

The ship grazed past continents, even colliding with shattered stars and impacting other landmasses. On the ancient, ruined continents within the Blood Rust Zone, prehistoric ruins suddenly began to glow. Beams of light flashed, creating a chilling spectacle.

From countless ruins across these continents, light burst forth, and terrifying ethereal forms of ancient gods rose from the landmasses!

The Blood Rust Zone was astonishingly vast, a region of dark red celestial bodies and shattered continents. Now, however, specks of light illuminated the area.

The nine phoenix phantoms struggled to navigate the Phoenix Ship, dodging terrifying attacks. From the mouth of one of the phoenix heads, Qi Xiayu's angry voice resounded: "How perilous is the Blood Rust Zone? It’s considered a forbidden area even in the Heavenly Court! Who among you caused this huge mess?!”

More than six thousand gods on the ship unanimously turned to look at Qin Mu, and arms rose, pointing at him.

Yan'er also raised a wing, pointing at Qin Mu.

Dragon Qilin hesitated, then did not point at Qin Mu.

However, from his ear, the little Earth Sovereign walked out of the ear canal, raised a finger, pointed at Qin Mu with a solemn expression, and mooed, “Moo—!”

Dragon Qilin hurriedly whispered, “Don’t talk nonsense. The spiritual pills are all refined by the Cult Master. If you point him out like that, he won’t feed you.”

The little Earth Sovereign lowered his hand, hung his head, and turned to walk back into the ear canal, as if he had done something wrong.

Qin Mu suddenly felt isolated. He stood there with an unchanging expression, but his heart was filled with unease, fearing the enraged crowd might throw him off the ship.

“Heavenly Venerate Mu, I’m only helping you this one time. Don’t even think I’ll save you again next time!”

The nine phoenix phantoms propelled the Phoenix Ship to its utmost speed. But the Blood Rust Zone resembled a boiling cauldron, with countless strange deities and devils, somewhat resembling ancient gods, launching attacks amid world-shaking beams of light. They made the Rust Zone almost boil, reaching out to grasp the Phoenix Ship!

Everyone on the ship scrambled to find something to hold onto, to avoid being flung off by the wildly pitching Phoenix Ship.

The nine phoenix phantoms piloted the ship, weaving rapidly. However, the Blood Rust Zone was immense, with an endless expanse of starry sky, and they couldn't escape it quickly.

Furthermore, the figures above the altars on those continents disturbed the Blood Rust Zone, awakening more altars in ruins ahead. The number of ancient god spirits flying out from ahead also grew.

These ancient god spirits were immensely powerful, their divine abilities being the formidable Great Dao divine arts of ancient gods.

If it were a one-on-one battle, Qi Xiayu, even controlling the Phoenix Ship from the Primordial Realm, would fear no one. However, there were simply too many ancient god spirits here.

She could only exert all her effort to pilot the Phoenix Ship, narrowly dodging attacks from giant spirit forms, doing her best to protect the people on board and escape the area.

The Phoenix Ship weaved up and down; when dodging was no longer possible, it would shrink its body and charge headlong into the ancient god spirits, passing through their ethereal forms with incredible bravery.

However, each collision was somewhat taxing for Qi Xiayu. After all, she wasn't physically present; controlling the Phoenix Ship from the Primordial Realm meant she couldn't react quickly enough, and her magic power was somewhat insufficient, causing the phantoms of the nine phoenixes to grow increasingly dim.

Finally, just as her magic power was almost depleted, the Phoenix Ship finally flew out of the terrifying Blood Rust Zone. Everyone on board breathed a sigh of relief.

The phantoms of the nine phoenixes had almost vanished, clearly indicating Qi Xiayu's immense exertion. Rescuing everyone this time had utterly exhausted her.

“Take him to the Heavenly Court, just drop him off in front of the South Heavenly Gate. Now, sail this ship back to me immediately, and don’t let me see him again!” With these words, the nine phoenixes dispersed.

Qin Mu remained silent, chagrined.

Qi Jiuyi glanced at him. “Cult Master Qin, I told you the Blood Rust Zone is extremely dangerous, but you didn't believe me. This is a forbidden zone; even beings at the Emperor's Throne realm wouldn't dare to venture here easily, let alone us! Guards! Escort Cult Master Qin to a cabin to rest!”

Several gods stepped forward, two of them lifting Qin Mu, one on each side, while several others followed behind, escorting him into a cabin.

Qi Jiuyi was still uneasy, worried he might escape. He ordered heavy seals to be placed, saying, “Cult Master Qin, there are still a few dangerous ruins along the way. Please endure for a few days; we will release you when we reach the Heavenly Court.”

Yan'er asked curiously, “Are there more dangerous places along the way? How do they compare to the Blood Rust Zone?”

Qi Jiuyi replied, “They are no less dangerous than this place. Another two days’ journey ahead lies the Fallen Land of Emperor Ming, where Emperor Ming perished in battle. It is even more perilous than here.”

Yan'er said seriously, “Then your gods won’t be able to keep Young Master confined. Young Master is skilled in various sealing-breaking techniques; even though your gods are more powerful than him, he can easily break your seals. I must be the one to apply the seal so he cannot break it.”

With that, she applied heavy seals to the cabin door, to prevent Qin Mu from escaping and causing more trouble.

From inside the cabin, Qin Mu’s exasperated voice came: “Sister Yan'er, you’ve betrayed me!”

Dragon Qilin quickly said, “Cult Master, Sister Yan'er is doing this for your own good, to keep you from getting into trouble again. Next time, if the Red Emperor doesn’t save you, you’ll truly be dead!”

Qin Mu was furious. “Fatty Dragon, you’ve betrayed me too! I’ll butcher you for the New Year’s feast!”

The Phoenix Ship accelerated and continued its journey.

Inside the cabin, Qin Mu took out the red Creation Divine Stone. He hadn’t thoroughly examined this treasure since he acquired it.

The Creation Divine Stone was small, likely a fragment of a complete Creation Divine Stone. Wei Suifeng most likely found this treasure while searching the ruins in the Blood Rust Zone.

Wei Suifeng knew many secrets. This Senior Brother had clearly put in great effort to achieve merit. His leaving this Creation Divine Stone for Qin Mu must have profound implications.

Qin Mu placed the Creation Divine Stone on his glabella, clearing his mind as his divine consciousness poured into it. It was then that something extraordinary occurred!

The small lump that had formed on his glabella suddenly stirred. A terrifying energy surged forth, drawing all his vital blood and energy towards his glabella!

Qin Mu's heart seized in alarm, and his face instantly turned deathly pale. Blood from all over his body rushed to his glabella, and in an instant, he became incredibly gaunt, like a skeletal corpse!

“Damn it!”

He was about to circulate his vital qi to control the flow of blood and energy to his glabella. Unexpectedly, it was better not to use vital qi; when he did, his vital qi immediately spun out of control and flowed towards his glabella as well!

“What exactly is this Creation Divine Stone that Senior Brother gave me?”

Qin Mu’s scalp tingled. His withered hand gripped the Creation Divine Stone tightly, resisting the force emanating from his glabella. That force seemed desperate to obtain the divine stone, pulling it closer to his glabella.

The force was so immense that Qin Mu could barely hold onto the divine stone.

“It’s not my glabella that wants this divine stone, but this divine stone that wants to burrow into my glabella!” Qin Mu suddenly realized.

All the power within his body belonged to him; there was no power from the Ghost Capital God Child. Ever since he created heaven and earth, reshaped his divine soul, and gained rebirth, he had been intimately familiar with all the power within him.

Now, there was absolutely no external power within him.

Therefore, the power must be coming from this Creation Divine Stone!

It was the Creation Divine Stone that mobilized his vital blood and energy. This gem wanted to burrow into his glabella and become his third eye!

Qin Mu resisted fiercely, opening his mouth to call out to Yan’er, but no sound came out.

He tremblingly stretched out his other hand, wanting to grab something and smash it to alert Dragon Qilin and Yan'er guarding outside the door. But he couldn't move his body or mobilize any vital qi.

Even his primordial spirit was trapped within his body, unable to be mobilized!

Suddenly, a tearing pain erupted from his glabella. With a 'snap,' the skin on his glabella split open, revealing a bloody wound.

Coincidentally, there was a mirror opposite Qin Mu. He looked into it and saw the wound on his glabella turn inside out, yet no blood flowed out.

The small lump of blood in his glabella finally revealed its true form. It was an eye, appearing in the original socket of his third eye. His vital blood and vital qi surged towards it, being frantically absorbed by this eye!

Qin Mu’s vital qi and vital blood were rapidly draining away. His vital blood and vital qi were incredibly dense, comparable to those of a true god, yet this eye was like a bottomless pit, seemingly impossible to fill!

Qin Mu was deeply terrified. He had long suspected what the small lump of blood on his glabella was, suspecting that after he dug out his third eye, another eye had grown in its socket.

After all, he was proficient in the art of creation, and the rebirth of a third eye wouldn’t be difficult.

However, this small lump of blood had always been inactive. Whenever he circulated his vital qi using the Hegemon Body Three Elixirs technique to his glabella, he would faintly feel his vital qi and blood flow into the small lump and then vanish.

Because the consumption was minimal, and Qin Mu was in a period of rapid cultivation growth after his rebirth, his cultivation increasing by leaps and bounds, he hadn't paid it much mind.

Who would have thought that this time, the Creation Divine Stone would draw all his vital blood and qi to his glabella, and this unformed eye would actually completely devour all his vital blood and qi!

“I won’t be killed by my own eye, will I?”

He was horrified, gradually losing control of his hand. The Creation Divine Stone in his hand drew closer and closer to his third eye. This divine stone seemed to possess sentience, desperately wanting to reside in his glabella, to burst his third eye and replace it!

“Wei Suifeng, you bastard… you always get me into so much trouble!”

Qin Mu gritted his teeth, his hand trembling, finding it increasingly difficult to resist the power emanating from the divine stone.

Suddenly, after his third eye had completely devoured his vital blood and energy, and could no longer extract vital blood from his body, a burst of power erupted from the eye, and a beam of light shot out, shining onto the crimson divine stone.

His eye was actually trying to seize the power of the Creation Divine Stone!

“My eye is a monster too!”

Qin Mu cursed under his breath. The third eye and the Creation Divine Stone, one trying to seize the other’s power, the other wanting to oust its rival and usurp its place, were fighting each other.

Qin Mu painstakingly moved his other hand, slowly bringing it towards his chest, and pulled off the jade pendant hanging around his neck.

The pendant was the Qin character jade pendant. Qin Fengqing had given it to Heavenly Venerate You when he went to Carefree Village, entrusting Heavenly Venerate You to pass it on to him. He had worn it around his neck ever since.

Qin Mu grasped the jade pendant and slowly moved it, finally bringing it to his glabella. Struggling against the forces of both the third eye and the Creation Divine Stone, he painstakingly wedged the Qin character jade pendant between the eye and the Creation Divine Stone.

This jade pendant was refined from an Earth Sovereign's horn. Though it appeared to be a pendant, it was actually a vast continent, a treasure the Earth Sovereign used to suppress Qin Fengqing.

With the jade pendant positioned between the third eye and the Creation Divine Stone, severing the two terrifying forces, Qin Mu’s hand, clutching the Creation Divine Stone, relaxed. His eye and divine consciousness no longer attracted each other. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief.

Just then, the Creation Divine Stone suddenly flew out of his grasp, hitting the jade pendant with a *ding* and catching him off guard!

Qin Mu’s eyes widened, wanting to grab the divine stone. But the divine stone, pushing against the jade pendant, had already slammed into his third divine eye on his glabella!

Light erupted from his glabella. The powers contained within the Creation Divine Stone, the third eye, and the jade pendant collided. In an instant, Qin Mu’s consciousness was overwhelmed and muddled; he tilted his head back and collapsed, unconscious.

“Wei Suifeng, you bloody bastard…” Before he fell unconscious, he exhaled with difficulty and muttered a curse.

“We’ve arrived at the Fallen Land of Emperor Ming! Be on high alert!”

Shouts from various gods echoed from the deck. Dragon Qilin and Yan’er, guarding the cabin door, hurriedly rushed out, to witness the final battlefield of the Heavenly Emperor from the Crimson Light Era.

Only after the Phoenix Ship had flown past did they return.

“The Cult Master is quite well-behaved this time, without such intense curiosity.”

Dragon Qilin chuckled, “It’s truly rare. The Cult Master should be locked up more often to curb his inclinations.”

Yan’er wholeheartedly agreed.

Qin Mu lay stiffly in the cabin, motionless, his breathing faint. The struggle between the third eye on his glabella, the jade pendant, and the Creation Divine Stone continued.
