Chapter 747: Sword Nineteen Style

Qin Mu's sword strike was the first form of his 'Calamity Sword,' 'Opening Calamity,' the most powerful sword art he had developed through his mastery of the sword.

The sword pellet, a spirit weapon he had recently refined, accelerated rapidly. Spinning at astonishing speed, it skimmed across the sea surface, releasing countless thin swords that leaped out, their tips pointing towards Hao Tianzun.

Trailing behind the sword pellet was Qin Mu, sprinting with all his might.

His magic power surged into the sword pellet, connecting the flying swords with vital energy. Their blades shimmered with countless interwoven runes, resembling electric flashes as they leaped from one sword to another.

The flying swords constantly shifted positions, resembling a school of silver fish darting through the water, flawlessly demonstrating the artistry of the sword technique.

At this moment, his countless flying swords moved as one, their interwoven runes and surging vital energy exhibiting unparalleled dynamism and agility.

The surging sword flow transformed into a dazzling streak of light on the sea, and the evolving flying swords perfectly demonstrated the eighteen most fundamental sword forms.

From afar, it appeared to be an astonishingly long flying sword, executing a simple thrust.

Yet, a closer look revealed countless variations hidden within that single, seemingly simple move.

This marked the first time since he created the Calamity Sword that he had executed this divine sword ability with such perfection.

Suddenly, space itself seemed to become viscous. While normally only air offered resistance, an inexplicable force now permeated the surroundings, causing his sword art to encounter immense resistance as it advanced.

Qin Mu surged forward with all his strength, and the Opening Calamity sword thrust ahead with unstoppable momentum, its tip nearing Hao Tianzun.

However, Qin Mu felt the resistance abruptly intensify.

This force was not just the power of a divine ability; it was an extraordinary pressure rooted in fundamental rules.

Qin Mu had encountered this type of pressure before, specifically when entering the Southern Heavenly Gate of the Dipper Palace in the Dipper World. That pressure had originated from all directions, impacting every facet of his physical body and primordial spirit.

It even affected his Opening Calamity sword!

This was the first time Qin Mu had experienced his sword art divine ability being suppressed.

The tip of the Opening Calamity sword continued to thrust forward, but its speed progressively dwindled. By the time it reached Hao Tianzun, the sword light was moving at a snail's pace.

Just then, streams of radiant light, thousands of threads strong, gathered from all directions behind Hao Tianzun.

This was not the true form of Hao Tianzun's mother, but rather her projection.

Her true self was likely in the Heavenly Court, choosing not to appear in person.

It was a goddess, adorned with brilliant, ribbon-like light shimmering around her.

Her figure was graceful, her delicate makeup a stark contrast to Heavenly Yin Mother's unrefined appearance.

The luminous ribbons effectively concealed her body while simultaneously highlighting its beautiful contours.

Heavenly Yin Mother, by contrast, crudely used divine radiance to cover her private parts, leaving the rest of her body exposed, and she wore no jewelry. This goddess, however, was adorned with numerous delicate ornaments.

She wore over a dozen exquisite pieces: hairpins and hair ornaments in her hair, a tasseled jade belt on her forehead, a moon-like pearl pendant at her collarbone, jade bracelets on her wrists, thumb rings on her fingers, and glass beads with bells at her ankles.

Hao Tianzun sighed in relief, observing the sword light halted before him. Qin Mu, however, continued to strain forward, attempting to unleash the full power of his Opening Calamity move and forcibly break through the goddess's suppression.

Yet, the sword could barely advance, moving only an inch or so before reaching the limit of Qin Mu's strength.

Hao Tianzun smiled.

"Emperor-Tianzun, you are presumptuous."

The goddess's luminous projection spoke, her voice clear and piercing, tranquil yet detached. "Having been resurrected, you should tread carefully, as if on thin ice. Have you forgotten that a force suddenly suppressed you before your death? The Mianhui Pavilion, where I stayed with my sister—surely you know that was my power?"

Qin Mu, with stubborn determination, continued to struggle forward, intent on slaying Hao Tianzun.

The goddess frowned. "He is ungrateful. Hao'er, dispatch him. This time, leave no lingering trouble; destroy his body completely."

Hao Tianzun bowed in affirmation and walked around the ten-mile-long sword light.

The sword light remained fixed in the air, as if frozen solid.

Hao Tianzun, relieved, walked towards Qin Mu, who was ten miles away, and said with a smile, "Mother, he is not Emperor-Tianzun."

The goddess, surprised, turned her head to look at Qin Mu but could not discern his true form.

Hao Tianzun's mood lifted. "He is Mu Tianzun. The true Emperor-Tianzun is likely still in his coffin, buried underground."

"Is he the Mu Tianzun His Majesty recently enfeoffed?"

The goddess nodded. "His divine abilities are indeed extraordinary, encompassing all sorts of incredible mysteries."

Hao Tianzun walked to the center of the ten-mile long sword light. "He uses a wondrous divine ability to alter his appearance, making himself resemble Emperor-Tianzun. Emperor-Tianzun might have even passed on the divine transformation method to him before his death, enabling him to impersonate Emperor-Tianzun. However, what I truly wish to know is whether his original face is his true form. I suspect even the Mu Tianzun face he uses is a disguise."

The goddess smiled. "My son is clever. Kill him, and he will be forced to reveal his true form. Your mother has already suppressed him, so you can act without concern..."

At that very moment, the sword light suddenly contracted!

The sword light, over ten miles long, abruptly compressed into a sphere, halting directly in front of Hao Tianzun!

Hao Tianzun was momentarily stunned, a chill creeping down his spine.

The sudden contraction of the sword light made him feel as if he were being stared down by an incredibly malevolent ancient god, or as if he had suddenly plunged into a deadly tribulation!

Qin Mu, five miles away, was held motionless on the sea surface by the goddess, his teeth grinding audibly, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

The sword pellet moved!

Qin Mu suddenly let out a thunderous roar.

"Raising Calamity—"

The goddess, startled, hurriedly intensified her magic power, pressing it down on the sword pellet!

Her immensely vast and abundant power instantly bound the sword pellet tightly. Yet, mysteriously, even under suppression, individual flying swords leaped out from within it.

The goddess pressed down again, but the darting sword light proved irrepressible, shooting directly towards Hao Tianzun!

Hao Tianzun rapidly retreated. The sword lights danced with bizarre trajectories, a sword art unlike the eighteen basic forms, one that even an ancient god's projection could not suppress.

*Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—*

Hao Tianzun's body was pierced by the sword lights, opening numerous bleeding wounds.

The second form of the Calamity Sword: Raising Calamity!

After Opening Calamity comes Raising Calamity, and Raising Calamity inevitably slays the son!

Facing the ancient god's projection and utterly defenseless, Qin Mu finally comprehended the second chapter of his sword path, taking another step forward on his journey.

Moreover, his sword art finally manifested its nineteenth basic form, propelling the world's sword path even further.

Blood instantly erupted from Hao Tianzun's body as the Raising Calamity Sword darted erratically, shaking off all suppression. Its unpredictable moves left him utterly defenseless.

Not only was he unable to resist, but even the goddess herself was powerless against these sword lights.

In this era, sword arts hadn't even developed fourteen forms, let alone nineteen.

Simultaneously, the goddess's projection struck a palm towards the restrained Qin Mu. Unable to suppress the sword lights, she intended to kill Qin Mu first, thereby naturally dismantling his attack.

Her palm strike was incredibly swift; as her hand descended, the sea within a hundred-mile radius suddenly sank, forming a colossal handprint.

Almost simultaneously, she saw another young man sprinting towards them across the sea, the water exploding beneath his feet.

As the young man sprinted, his hands moved deftly, and countless divine abilities surged around him, hurtling towards Qin Mu like a tidal wave.

"Too weak."

The goddess ignored him. Then, a colossal fist suddenly filled the sky, meeting her descending palm with a thunderous roar before the young man's divine abilities could even arrive.

The Jade Pond trembled, scattering the petals and leaves of countless sea lotuses. Ancient turtles carrying island-like sacred mountains were tossed into the air by colossal waves, struggling helplessly.

"Demoness, Elder Niuben is here!"

A furious roar erupted as the old ox transformed into a bull-headed, human-bodied divine demon. His muscular frame was fearsome, bulging with power, and he landed on the sea with a resounding thud.

Surging seawater shattered Kai Huang's countless divine abilities, sending Qin Mu, Kai Huang, and Hao Tianzun flying far.

Kai Huang struggled to maneuver in the air, leaping to catch Qin Mu and embrace him.

On the other side, a streak of radiant light enveloped Hao Tianzun, shielding him from the terrifying impact.

Blood gushed from Hao Tianzun's eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, his body riddled with wounds inflicted by the bizarre and unpredictable Raising Calamity Sword.

The radiant light instantly permeated his body, sealing his wounds and staunching the bleeding, then transported him to a distant Jade Terrace by the sea.

Hao Tianzun lay sprawled and motionless on the terrace.

Kai Huang frantically rushed away, holding Qin Mu, whose bones were completely shattered. Yet, Qin Mu's flesh continuously writhed, expelling broken fragments and regenerating new bone.

"He's still alive under this pressure?" Kai Huang exclaimed in surprise.

"My sword..." Qin Mu whispered, his voice incredibly weak.

"Forget about the sword!"

Kai Huang, furious, snapped, "I told you long ago not to stir up trouble! If I hadn't been quick-witted and called Senior Niuben to search for you in the Jade Sea, you would have been dead by now!"

Qin Mu smiled. "You're acting like a real person now. I'm very happy..."

Kai Huang paused slightly, then offered a faint smile. "Don't talk. Heal your wounds."

Qin Mu extended his palm and beckoned behind him. Countless tiny sword lights swiftly converged, clattering as they collided, forming a single sword pellet that followed them, rapidly closing the distance.

"Let's go kill Hao Tianzun."

Qin Mu coughed up blood, his voice weak. "He's almost dead. Just one more sword strike will do..."

"Compared to him, I think you should be more concerned about our own lives."

Kai Huang sighed, noticing the increasing number of demigods surrounding them. He whispered, "You don't necessarily have to kill him. In the future, I will personally avenge Emperor-Tianzun by killing him. For now, I'm only concerned with how we escape."

Qin Mu suddenly shed tears, turning his head away. He thought silently, "Ancestor, you didn't... I don't know if you're still alive... I once thought you should fight valiantly, even if it meant dying on the battlefield, but now I hope even more that you can live in Carefree Village..."
