Chapter 712: The World's Number One

Di Yiyue sneered, "Look at him; he bears some resemblance to Kaihuang. He must be Kaihuang's descendant, right? And you still claim he's not your disciple? Grand Heavenly Master, don't try to deceive me!"

The Woodcutter Sage's face flushed crimson. "He is indeed my second disciple, but it's only in name. I've never taught him anything."

Suddenly, the Five Thunder Pot unleashed its power, sending Qin Mu flying. However, runes swirled around Qin Mu, and in an instant, he teleported back, still clinging to the disaster god's back, gnawing fiercely and quickly on its head.

"Teleportation, that's a divine art you created," Di Yiyue remarked, her suspicion deepening as she sneered.

The Woodcutter Sage was overcome with shame and couldn't utter a word.

Suddenly, the burly disaster god above Yongjiang River noticed them. Though indifferent to all ties, the disaster god was startled. Forgetting about dislodging Qin Mu, it quickly bowed its head and body, exclaiming, "Senior Sister!"

Di Yiyue nodded. "Are you a disciple of the Northern Emperor? And you recognize me as your Senior Sister?"

The disaster god, its head and face covered in blood from being gnawed, stood there at a loss. "I once met Senior Sister, but with your high status and power, you probably didn't notice me. I was ordered to bring down a calamity; please forgive me, Senior Sister..."

Di Yiyue said calmly, "Just leave something here and go back. I'm here, so you can't bring down any calamity. If you leave something, you'll have something to report. Tell Master that I am here; either he sends you all to your deaths, or he comes to unleash the calamity himself."

The disaster god's expression changed dramatically. With a sudden grimace, it sliced off its left arm, which fell from the air. It respectfully placed the arm on the ground before Di Yiyue, then retreated two or three steps. Its primordial spirit left its body, and its physical form turned into a stone statue.

Qin Mu gnawed a few more times on the stone statue's head, nearly breaking his teeth before giving up. He slid off the statue, looking around with a fierce glint in his eyes, like a beast choosing its prey.

The stone statue gradually sank into the ground and disappeared. The Five Thunder Pot also spun wildly, swallowing the thunderclouds in the sky into its maw before vanishing.

"This beautiful lady looks the most delicious!" Qin Mu excitedly lunged towards Di Yiyue. The Woodcutter Sage's old face was crimson with shame; he wished he could instantly dig a grave, make a coffin, and bury himself underground.

Di Yiyue formed a hand seal with her right hand, her fingers moving like fluttering lotus petals. With a gentle touch on Qin Mu's glabella, the demonic nature within him immediately receded. The demonic qi from Youdu surged back into the continent-like "Qin" character in his brow. Di Yiyue's seal, carrying the demonic qi and nature of Youdu, surged forth and entered the large-headed infant Qin Fengqing. The seal of the Underworld Jade Mirror immediately appeared.

Heavenly Duke and Crimson Emperor were surprised, exclaiming in unison, "This girl's abilities aren't bad! What a pity she's dead."

Di Yiyue let out a soft sound, her surprise evident. The magical power contained within her seal vanished instantly, as if consumed by something. She couldn't see the scene within the "Qin" character continent, thus she didn't see Heavenly Duke and Crimson Emperor.

"There's something strange in your glabella; let me enter your third eye to see!" As she was about to fly into Qin Mu's glabella, the Woodcutter, Founding Emperor, Brahma, and Chi Xi quickly blocked her, exclaiming repeatedly, "Absolutely not! Do not explore his glabella; all of us have suffered greatly from it!"

The Woodcutter said, "While I haven't suffered a loss myself, I know it's incredibly dangerous in there. Heavenly King, you'd best not try!"

Di Yiyue's eyes flickered, and she chuckled, "Is it really that dangerous? Dangerous even for someone of my Emperor's Throne realm? Well, never mind, my physical body is dead now, so it doesn't matter if I don't look."

Qin Mu woke up and quickly took out a willow leaf to stick on his glabella, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Teacher, Founding Emperor, you're all alive again?" He was both surprised and delighted. Then, looking at Di Yiyue, he quickly tidied his clothes and checked himself in a mirror before formally greeting them, "Teacher, who is this immortal sister?"

"Immortal sister?" Di Yiyue's heart swelled with joy, and her previous negative impression of Qin Mu vanished. She chuckled, "Heavenly Master, your second disciple has good taste. Much better than Kaihuang, much better than you. He's a talent! You didn't make a mistake taking him as a disciple."

The Woodcutter Sage felt relieved and whispered to Qin Mu, "Wipe your mouth, there's still blood on your lips."

"Blood on my lips?" Qin Mu was startled. He quickly took out the small mirror again, carefully wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and then pulled a strand of hair from between his teeth. The youth was bewildered: "Did I vomit blood? How did I also vomit hair?"

Di Yiyue said, "That's my junior brother's blood and hair — the disaster god you were just gnawing on."

Qin Mu's face flushed crimson with embarrassment.

Di Yiyue laughed, "You're truly a pure and good young man. Boys who understand shame are rare nowadays. You're so bashful, I'm sure many girls like you."

The Woodcutter, Brahma, Chi Xi, and Founding Emperor exchanged strange glances, coughing repeatedly but saying nothing.

Di Yiyue paid them no mind and chuckled, "Little brother... oh, I can't call you little brother yet. You're the Grand Heavenly Master's disciple and a descendant of Kaihuang. If I call you little brother, wouldn't my seniority be lower than theirs?"

Qin Mu said, "Sister, why don't we just be friends with each other independently?"

Di Yiyue was overjoyed and praised, "That's a great idea. It's settled then, we'll be sister and brother, but our relationships with others will remain separate."

Qin Mu examined Di Yiyue's forehead, noticing a hole that went straight through, revealing even brain tissue. Furthermore, Di Yiyue's heart had stopped beating, and her blood no longer flowed; she was clearly a corpse! However, her primordial spirit was so powerful that she could still control the body, making her appear alive.

"Sister's injuries are very severe," Qin Mu said. "How did you get such grave wounds?"

Di Yiyue said sadly, "I chose the wrong person. I married a faithless man, and he injured me. But this isn't an injury; how can a dead person be considered injured?"

Qin Mu meticulously examined her wound. Even up close, he couldn't hear Di Yiyue breathing. There were still remnants of divine arts in her wound, so powerful that he dared not touch them.

"It is an injury, and it's treatable. Though severe, it's not critical," Qin Mu said after examining her. He walked around to the back of Di Yiyue's head, peered through the hole, observed carefully, and added, "However, I can't resolve the lingering divine art at the wound. Sister, can you deal with that part of the injury yourself?"

Di Yiyue was surprised. She activated her profound technique, removing the remnants of the divine art left by the Ghost Emperor in her wound, and asked curiously, "I'm in the Emperor's Throne realm, and you're in the Celestial Human realm. What means do you have to treat an Emperor's Throne injury?"

Qin Mu shifted, manifesting three heads and six arms. He raised a hand, and with a flash of sword light, severed his left head. Di Yiyue was startled. Qin Mu held his severed left head and chuckled, "Sister, please observe." His neck twitched, and astonishingly, another head grew back!

Di Yiyue's eyes widened, and she gasped, "Such a technique exists?" She could tell that Qin Mu had not only severed his physical head but also his primordial spirit's head! After Qin Mu activated his technique, not only did his physical head regrow, but his primordial spirit's head also reappeared! She had never heard of such a technique or divine art.

The God-man Chi Xi snorted, feeling quite displeased. The techniques Qin Mu displayed were Emperor Ming's Imperfect Creation Profound Art and Crimson Emperor's Three Primordial Spirit Immortal Consciousness. He had perfectly combined these two techniques to achieve the effect of an immortal body and an indestructible primordial spirit! An immortal body was a perfect technique that even the Divine Son of Crimson Light yearned for. Unexpectedly, Qin Mu had already achieved an immortal body and an indestructible primordial spirit before the Divine Son of Crimson Light had even fully comprehended it. Of course, Qin Mu's achievement was beyond their envy. The Divine Son of Crimson Light had taught Qin Mu Emperor Ming's Imperfect Creation Profound Art, and Crimson Emperor's consciousness had directly imparted the Three Primordial Spirit Immortal Consciousness to him, resulting in Qin Mu possessing Crimson Emperor's level of mastery in immortal consciousness! With such mastery, comprehending the Imperfect Creation Profound Art would be twice as effective with half the effort. Thus, Qin Mu's proficiency in these two Emperor's Throne techniques far surpassed that of the Divine Son of Crimson Light, giving him an unparalleled advantage. Although he had also passed on Crimson Emperor's technique to the Divine Son of Crimson Light, the Divine Son could not achieve Crimson Emperor's level of mastery, which was why he had yet to achieve an immortal body and an indestructible primordial spirit. Instead, Qin Mu, an outsider, had accomplished it before him.

The Woodcutter Sage smiled. He knew Qin Mu inside and out and was naturally aware of how formidable Qin Mu's mastery of creation arts was. Qin Mu himself didn't know how powerful he was, but the Woodcutter knew it perfectly well. Qin Mu, having inherited the legacies of both Crimson Emperor and Emperor Ming, could be said to be the strongest master of creation arts, bar none! From the Crimson Light Hanging Realm, Qin Mu brought back two Emperor's Throne techniques, both related to creation arts, and taught them without reservation to the various Imperial College academies in Yankang. Tens of thousands of Yankang scholars and powerful cultivators diligently studied the profound mysteries of these techniques. There were many exceptionally talented individuals among them who had comprehended numerous profound principles from these two Emperor's Throne techniques. However, apart from the Woodcutter, almost no one knew that Qin Mu had long since reached the pinnacle of these arts.

Qin Mu dismissed his three heads and six arms, smiling, "Sister's injuries are difficult for others to treat, but not too difficult for me. Do you have any research into creation arts, Sister?"

Di Yiyue shook her head. "I've done some rough research, but my mastery isn't deep; it's not as good as the Grand Heavenly Master's." The Grand Heavenly Master she referred to was the Woodcutter Sage.

Qin Mu paced back and forth, saying, "Sister, your physical body is dead, and it must have been dead for a long time, but it's very well-preserved, quite fresh, like you just died. However, the longer you walk among mortals, the more easily your body will decay. If it truly decays, then you'll be truly dead. So..." He looked up and smiled, "I will use the Creation Profound Art to heal you! Once you're alive again, you can slowly comprehend the creation arts yourself."

Di Yiyue was surprised. "You can really heal the physical body of an Emperor's Throne expert? I'm in the Emperor's Throne realm!"

Qin Mu said confidently, "A healer's heart is like a parent's..."

"Pah, taking advantage of your sister," Di Yiyue retorted, rolling her eyes at him, but she didn't seem angry at all.

The Woodcutter, Brahma, and others exchanged glances.

Founding Emperor whispered, "Heavenly Master, did he learn how to charm girls from you too?"

The Woodcutter looked bewildered. "How would I know anything about that? If I did, would I still be alone to this day? To my shame, not only that, but I've never even taught him any techniques or divine arts. He has other masters..."

On the Heaven-Gazing Platform, the Apothecary's corpse had already stiffened.
