Chapter 622: Buddhist Realm Without Swords

When Qin Mu's three gazes swept over the hundreds of Buddhist disciples, their hearts instantly clenched. They heard incessant Buddhist chants, and anyone caught by his gaze involuntarily activated all their divine treasures, unleashing their full aura! They did so because they sensed the killing intent in Qin Mu's gaze, believing it was directed at them.

When swept by Qin Mu's gaze, they involuntarily unleashed their full aura, which appeared overly nervous and cost them some dignity. However, this also offered an opportunity to observe the diverse cultivation techniques and divine arts practiced by everyone.

Some Buddhist disciples had a cloud of light above their heads, with a great Buddha seated within it. Others had a halo behind their heads, where dozens of small Buddhas revolved around them, chanting Buddhist scriptures. Others had golden springs gushing from beneath their feet, covered with lotus leaves and flowers, allowing them to stand on a central red lotus. Still others had cultivated unusual Buddhist techniques, acquiring three heads and six arms with faces like Yasha. Some were spotless, radiating holy light from their entire bodies.

Their spirit weapons were equally diverse and peculiar, including lutes, umbrellas, precious pearls, bows and arrows, swords, Vajra scepters, and golden maces. Some had even cultivated exotic beasts into weapons, controlling them with vital qi to unleash them and harm others.

Within the Buddhist realm of Twenty Heavens, the Buddhas in each heaven had different focuses, resulting in varied cultivation techniques. Among these Buddhist disciples, besides their Buddhist cultivation techniques, many supreme arts from the Heavenly Court were also revealed by Qin Mu's gaze. Under the gaze of his third eye, all their cultivation levels and realms were clearly visible.

These Buddhist disciples were not major figures like Qi Jiuyi, who was a noble of the Heavenly Court and cultivated Imperial Throne techniques. Even figures like Lu Li, a Military Commissioner of Youdu, had to treat him with utmost respect. Although the Buddhist disciples came from or were associated with the Heavenly Court, they still couldn't access Imperial Throne techniques. After all, Imperial Throne techniques were not easily found; otherwise, the Heavenly Court wouldn't have sent them here specifically to learn the Great Brahma Heavenly King Buddha's Imperial Throne True Scripture.

"Audacious!" Dharma King Molun flew into a rage and shouted, "How dare you kill someone in my Buddhist realm? You truly are a devil!"

Qin Mu paid him no mind. He withdrew his gaze, looked down at his hands, and muttered, "It's been a long time since I used my full power... Even when fighting Qi Jiuyi and Zhe Huali, I never fully opened my three eyes. I don't know what stage my cultivation has reached."

Dharma King Molun paused, slightly taken aback. Just as he was about to continue his outburst, the voice of Sakra Heavenly King Buddha suddenly came from the dilapidated temple: "Molun, my junior brother, calm down. It's inevitable for disciples to suffer casualties in conflicts. Are you going to personally intervene? A lifetime is but a foul skin-bag; Moonlight Prince has shed his and is now at ease — it's truly a great blessing. The rules have been set: let the Buddhist disciples challenge Layman Qin. Whoever wins gets the last spot to enter the temple and learn the Imperial Throne True Scripture."

Dharma King Molun was furious but restrained himself, thinking, "Is Sakra Heavenly King Buddha supporting this brat? He even says such shameless words!" However, with Sakra Heavenly King Buddha speaking, he dared not be disrespectful. He thought to himself, "This little devil from the lower realm is indeed capable, but challenging all the Buddhist disciples is truly overestimating himself! The Great Brahma Heavenly King Buddha's Imperial Throne True Scripture is paramount. It's not good to fall out now; I'll deal with this after getting the True Scripture."

Inside the dilapidated temple, Sakra Heavenly King Buddha, who was currently comprehending the Imperial Throne True Scripture, let out a muffled grunt. The voice that had just spoken to stop Dharma King Molun was not his at all. He was engrossed in comprehending the True Scripture; how could he have time to pay attention to the outside world?

"Who is imitating my voice?" he thought. "It sounds so real! Ah, it must be Senior Brother Brahma. Only he can imitate my voice so perfectly that no one can tell the difference." Sakra Heavenly King Buddha's eyebrows twitched. "Is this the first false accusation?" he wondered. "And my senior brother personally dumped it on my head. I just hope it's the only one..."

"Sunlight Prince of the Heavenly Court is here to conquer the devil in your heart!"

Sunlight Prince stepped forward, a sun shining brightly behind his head. He calmly stated, "You're from the lower realm? The lower realm is a barren land, and it's rare for talent to emerge there, so it's understandable if you're arrogant about your abilities."

Qin Mu did not look up at him. Instead, he continued to stare at his own hands, thinking to himself, "Granny Si and the others always told me to keep this eye sealed. But by sealing it, I couldn't truly know the progress of my power. How powerful is my full strength? Now, I can finally find out..."

He suddenly shivered, trembling and quivering with excitement. He could finally unleash his full power without reservation, act without restraint, and no longer worry about causing trouble for his friends and family due to his immense destructive power! He could finally indulge himself and be the fearless young man he was in the Great Ruins! A young man from the Great Ruins only needed to act according to the rules of the Great Ruins. All other constraints were external and irrelevant to him!

"Hee hee hee... ha ha ha!" Qin Mu began to laugh, his laughter growing louder.

Sunlight Prince frowned slightly and calmly said, "I am Sunlight Prince, the Crown Prince of the Sunlight Buddhist Kingdom. Moonlight Prince and I were classmates at the Heavenly Court Sword Palace; we learned swordsmanship together, and our friendship is deep..."

"Enough rambling," Qin Mu cut him off. "If you miss him so much, I'll send you down to accompany him!"

Qin Mu suddenly slapped his hand out. His sword pellet expanded and burst open, countless flying swords whistling into the air like a cloud covering the sky. The sun behind Sunlight Prince's head suddenly erupted, and he laughed loudly, "I've been waiting for you!"

Firelight permeated the great sun behind his head. Unlike Moonlight Prince's Bright Moon Sword, his sword carried pure Yang true flame. The great sun shone everywhere, incinerating everything. The sword light was hidden within the firelight and sunlight, its dazzling radiance making it impossible to open one's eyes or see his sword!

The Great Sun Divine Sword!

His divine sword collided with Qin Mu's sword rain. In an instant, countless clanging sounds erupted. Sunlight Prince was startled, immediately feeling his sword moves being broken. "His swordsmanship contains three moves... no, four basic sword moves I've never seen before!" The shock in his heart was beyond words. Four basic sword moves! Let alone four moves; even if there were just one additional basic sword move, the swordsmanship under heaven would have to be completely reshuffled, creating countless new variations! What's more, four? "This means any of my sword techniques, in his eyes, are riddled with flaws!"

Fear arose in Sunlight Prince's heart. In a flash, a countermeasure came to his mind: "The swordsmanship of the lower realm has improved so much that Heavenly Court's swordsmanship is basically unable to contend with him. The only way is to not use swordsmanship. As long as I use swordsmanship, it will be full of flaws to him. Only by using blade techniques or magical divine arts can I contend with him; otherwise, I would already be dead by now... That's right, why am I not dead yet..."

He saw Qin Mu's eight thousand swords, like dark clouds with fish-like swords swimming within them, execute various moves as they flew past him without striking. Sunlight Prince was stunned. He looked down to see his physical body riddled with blood holes, like a tattered sieve, completely perforated. His mind was somewhat muddled. He raised a hand to touch his forehead, and a finger sank into his head. He touched the back of his head. There was a small hole there, evidently the mark left by a flying sword that had passed through his glabella and exited his occiput.

"So, my primordial spirit has already been killed by him..." Sunlight Prince swayed and collapsed to the ground.

Qin Mu's figure moved past his fallen corpse, completely unaware of the extensive mental processes Sunlight Prince had experienced before dying.

"After today's battle," the young man from the Great Ruins burst into laughter, "there will be no more sword cultivators in the Buddhist realm!"

The eight thousand swords descended like dark clouds, attacking almost all the Buddhist disciples! At this instant, almost all the Buddhist disciples reacted involuntarily. Qin Mu's three eyes, like lightning, swiftly swept over those resisting his swordsmanship, revealing that approximately over a hundred Buddhist disciples used swordsmanship to counter him. The divine arts and spirit weapons of the other Buddhist disciples varied. Many had extremely high cultivation levels and power, such as the three mentioned by Dharma King Molun: Makara Prince, Balong Princess, and Floating Cloud Prince. Also notable were the Universal Illumination Buddhist disciple, who once debated with the Demon Ape Zhankong until spitting blood, and the Empty Aspect Buddhist disciple and others, whose strength was exceptionally high.

Suddenly, Yama Raja Buddha couldn't bear to watch. He closed his eyes and said to the other Buddhas, "Let's go, we can't watch this place any longer. If we continue, blood will flow like a river."

Sagara Dragon King Buddha and the other Buddhas nodded in agreement, saying, "Indeed, we cannot bear to watch any longer." With that, they each took their disciples and flew away, ascending to their respective Buddhist heavens.

Jiankong Buddhist disciple secretly looked back and was instantly stunned. He saw that on the battlefield in front of the dilapidated temple, a sudden burst of blood light appeared—over a hundred streaks of blood light! Over a hundred Buddhist disciples who practiced swordsmanship had their techniques instantly broken, their primordial spirits or physical bodies severed, dying unnatural deaths! Jiankong Buddhist disciple was horrified, his hands and feet turning cold, and he was speechless.

In that fleeting glance, Qin Mu had already gathered his swords into a pellet, then shaped the pellet into a saber. The long saber then split into two. His steps crisscrossed rapidly like lightning, his figure darting left and right, front and back. The saber glint was too fast for the naked eye to see; heads fell as sabers were lifted, and bodies were split with a single strike! The two saber lights in his hands were like long dragons, moving vertically and horizontally with grand, sweeping motions. Behind him, a tall gate suddenly opened, revealing the dark Youdu. That towering gate moved with his figure, sweeping across the path. Wherever it passed, Buddhist disciples, before they could even react, had their souls and primordial spirits devoured by this gate, leaving behind empty physical bodies!

Jiankong Buddhist disciple's scalp tingled, and his body trembled. He watched as the long sabers in Qin Mu's hands merged into a long spear. With one thrust, it impaled Balong Princess on the spearhead; a shake of the spear, and the charming Balong Princess was torn to pieces. Immediately, Qin Mu plunged the great spear into the ground, and countless flying swords scattered, forming a large bell that enveloped him. It spun wildly around him, blocking the divine arts and spirit weapons launched by the other Buddhist disciples. Beneath the great bell, Qin Mu unleashed furious attacks, each punch and kick clearly defined. His raw power radiated through the great bell to the outside, shattering the bones of the close-combat Buddhist disciples who approached him.

"Jiankong, you needn't watch anymore." Yama Raja Buddha sighed and said, "If you continue to watch, it will affect your Buddhist heart."

Jiankong Buddhist disciple's heart trembled. He wanted to speak, but his throat was hoarse, and he couldn't utter a word. He cleared his throat, his voice still somewhat hoarse: "My Buddha, with Layman Qin killing so indiscriminately, can the Buddhas tolerate him?"

"What if we don't tolerate him?" Yama Raja Buddha said in a low voice, "I saw him in Youdu. Back then, when I went to Youdu to deliver the wronged souls, I encountered him. I thought he had died, but unexpectedly he survived. He seems to have forgotten what happened in his childhood. It's been nineteen years, hasn't it..."
