Over the surrounding mountains, dense demonic clouds rose from numerous temples. One by one, senior demon monks, filled with murderous intent, rode clouds and mists, flying towards the Golden Summit.
Xing Han's overwhelming aura alerted nearly all the monks of the Little Thunderclap Temple to the arrival of a powerful enemy, causing them to rush to the scene.
Xing Han stood on the Golden Summit of the Little Thunderclap Temple, seemingly unimpeded. He ignored the many senior demon monks rushing towards him, smiling faintly as he said, "Why do you all come to your deaths? The only one who must die on this mountain is Great Physician Qin. Great Physician Qin, let us first resolve the old grudges between us."
Ban Gongcuo was overjoyed. He propped himself up with his hands, took two steps forward, looked up, and snarled, "Great Physician Qin, Brother Xing Han is calling for you. Why don't you come up and die?"
Jing Yan looked at Xu Shenghua and whispered, "Young Master..."
Xu Shenghua frowned deeply, at a loss in this situation. The Little Buddha, unwilling to see the Little Thunderclap Temple's experts perish, certainly wouldn't offer assistance. As for Xu Shenghua himself, his cultivation was far inferior to Xing Han's, rendering him utterly useless.
Qin Mu raised his hand, stopping the Demon Ape who was about to charge forward. He took a step closer and tentatively asked, "Brother Xing Han, if I can help you get rid of the hidden ailments in your physical body, would I be spared death?"
Ban Gongcuo seemed to have heard the most ridiculous thing; he burst into laughter, "Little Qin, you're dreaming in broad daylight..."
"Good."
Xing Han was overjoyed. "If you can eliminate my hidden troubles," he said, "I won't mind letting you go."
Ban Gongcuo was dumbfounded. He turned his head and stammered, "Brother Xing Han, you're joking, aren't you?"
Xu Shenghua was also dumbfounded, and it took him a long time to regain his composure.
Xing Han said leisurely, "I don't necessarily have to kill him. To me, it's only natural for prey to resist. Last time, he banded together with a group of experts to fight back, injuring me and forcing me to retreat, which I actually found quite admirable. However, if Great Physician Qin wishes to live, he must first return my body parts."
Qin Mu readily agreed, "Alright! It's just that I've already returned some of the body parts to their original owners." With that, he took out the True Dragon's Lair and removed all the arms and legs from within.
"That's fine," Xing Han said. "If you returned them, I'll simply retrieve them again."
Xing Han stepped forward and inspected each part. When he came to the leg Qin Mu had poisoned, he couldn't help but hesitate. He looked up at Qin Mu, his eyes flickering, "This leg seems different from before. Great Physician Qin, I'm also skilled in medicine; this leg has definitely been tampered with."
Qin Mu stepped forward to examine it, scratching his head. "I reattached this leg for someone else. See, it's been cut here."
Xing Han narrowed his eyes, studying Qin Mu's expression, but couldn't find any flaws. However, he was genuinely wary of Qin Mu's medical skills.
"Great Venerable," he said, "I still owe you a leg. You can reattach this one first."
He tossed the poisoned leg to Ban Gongcuo, whose face turned ashen. Ban Gongcuo cried out, "Qin, you poisoned this leg, didn't you? Give me a straight answer! Brother Xing Han, can I not take this leg? If I attach it, I'll surely die! Forget about Qin having cut it; I wouldn't even touch it!"
Xing Han retrieved the leg and said calmly, "I offered it to you, but you refused. So, I only owe you one leg."
Ban Gongcuo grunted, feeling extremely conflicted. He quickly said, "Just give it to me; I'll check if it's poisoned first..."
Xing Han tossed the leg back to him, then opened his box and placed the various body parts inside. His gaze fell on Qin Mu, then circled around Xu Shenghua, and finally rested on the Demon Ape. He praised them repeatedly, saying, "You are all truly talented individuals. Wouldn't it be much more interesting to harvest you once you've achieved something great? Great Venerable, you should also cultivate diligently, lest you be surpassed by your juniors."
Ban Gongcuo, filled with unvented rage, grunted and said nothing more.
Xing Han looked at the golden alms bowl. The bowl, already retrieved from Qin Mu's painting by the Little Buddha and other monks, now hung in the air. Wei Wushen stood with his arms crossed, half his body resting on a small demonic cloud above the alms bowl, while the other half, transformed into a curved cloud of qi, was suppressed within the bowl.
Wei Wushen looked at Xing Han and sneered.
"Wei Wushen," Xing Han said, "Great Venerable once used your primordial spirit to bow to me."
Xing Han smiled and said, "I'll give you another chance now. Bow to me again and see if you can bow me to death."
Wei Wushen said leisurely, "Your true name has already been exposed; bowing you to death would be effortless. But I'm not in a hurry. I want to see you jump around and make a fool of yourself. Everyone on this mountain is destined to die; why should I rush?"
Xing Han smiled faintly, looking at the Little Buddha. "The main course is best eaten last," he said. "Wei Wushen is the main course; Yuan Ding Buddha is merely an appetizer. Buddha, do you intend to resist me?"
The Little Buddha pressed his palms together and said, "Brother Xing Han, you have revealed my name in front of Wei Wushen, and I am already destined to perish. Even if I don't die by your hand, I will die from one of Wei Wushen's bows. As a monk, I am empty of the four great elements; it doesn't matter if you take my cultivation. However, if I die, the Little Thunderclap Temple might also be reduced to ashes, and I cannot bear to see my demon race's lineage disappear. Therefore, I ask Brother Xing Han for some guidance."
His aura suddenly became incredibly powerful, and his body glowed with brilliant light. With a shake, Buddhist light formed a halo behind him, and within the halo, the Twenty Devas appeared.
At this moment, the Little Buddha's aura was like an immeasurably heavy mountain covered in Buddhist treasures. Behind him, a primordial spirit leaped out: it had a large head and a small body, its head covered in bumps, its eyes wide with fury and incredibly bright, and a single upward-curving horn grew on its forehead!
His primordial spirit had goat's feet and a head that resembled a Qilin. Its appearance was solemn and majestic, possessing an extraordinary presence.
Under his gaze, everyone present felt ashamed and dared not meet his eyes.
His long horn, capable of discerning right from wrong, was incredibly sharp. When Ban Gongcuo saw this horn, his face changed drastically, and he was filled with terror, quickly trying to evade it.
Having done too many immoral deeds, he felt as if he could be pierced to death by this horn at any moment.
"So, the Great Monk is a Xiezhi who achieved enlightenment."
Xing Han, delighted by the hunt, praised, "No wonder your cultivation is so strong. In ancient times, you would have been considered a divine creature! Though my collection is vast, I don't possess a demon saint like you."
The Little Buddha roared, and his vital qi erupted. Countless bolts of lightning condensed in the sky, bursting upwards from the dense demonic clouds to form a divine bridge of dazzling light that illuminated the surrounding mountains.
His Xiezhi primordial spirit leaped up, stepping onto the divine bridge until it reached its end. Standing amidst the demonic clouds, showered by lightning, his primordial spirit appeared half-Buddha, half-Xiezhi, like a Xiezhi divine being. It grew ever larger, pressing its massive hand downwards, covering half of Mount Sumeru.
Xing Han's body remained still. A divine bridge spanned across the sky, and his primordial spirit leaped onto the bridge, heading straight for the great Buddha's primordial spirit in mid-air.
Qin Mu's eyelid twitched. Xing Han's primordial spirit had changed again; it was completely different from when they fought at the Heavenly Saint Academy.
This time, his primordial spirit was a Taoist with a turtle shell, entwined with a flying serpent.
Boom—
Thousands of lightning bolts erupted in mid-air as the two primordial spirits collided with a thunderous roar. Dazzling lightning spread in all directions, each collision forming a net of electricity that illuminated the mountains below in stark black and white.
The black were the shadows of the mountain peaks, the trees, and the great hall, while the white was the light of the lightning.
The Little Buddha's steps moved, and Xing Han's steps also moved. As they did, the two divine bridges in the air also shifted horizontally, and the primordial spirits standing on them changed positions accordingly.
After a moment, a sudden loud bang was heard as the Xiezhi divine being fell from the divine bridge, crashing onto the Golden Summit. Terrifying waves of air erupted in all directions, making everyone present lose their balance.
The Little Buddha's lips bled. He swept his robes, drawing the hurricane into his sleeve to prevent harm to the demon monks on the mountain.
"I have lost, Brother Xing Han. Please take my cultivation."
The Little Buddha withdrew his primordial spirit and divine bridge, his face pale. From the temples in the surrounding mountains, one by one, demon monks hastily rose into the air, flying towards the Golden Summit, filled with murderous intent.
The Little Buddha sat cross-legged, his physical body immense, and stopped the others. "My junior brothers," he said, "after my divine treasures are taken, I will not be able to escape death. After I die, you should go to the Great Thunderclap Temple. Ma Rulai of the Great Thunderclap Temple is my junior nephew. He is broad-minded and can accommodate you all."
One by one, the demon monks were deeply saddened, prostrating themselves and weeping bitterly.
Xing Han withdrew his primordial spirit and divine bridge, and said leisurely, "Why do you all look so sorrowful? I do not enjoy killing. I am merely taking Yuan Ding Buddha's cultivation; I am not taking his life, so there is no need for sadness. Furthermore, I also intend to take Wei Wushen's primordial spirit. Rest assured, your Buddha will not die. Yuan Ding Buddha, please open your divine treasures."
The Little Buddha remained calm, his body shaking violently as one after another, loud bangs sounded. Layer after layer of divine treasures within him opened, and incredibly rich, brilliant light burst forth from his body, illuminating the entire mountain. He said in a deep voice, "Brother Xing Han, please take them."
Xing Han stepped forward, when suddenly the sky abruptly darkened. Darkness surged from the west, engulfing the towering mountains and submerging the Great Ruins.
Xing Han looked at the darkness that swept over Mount Sumeru and praised, "The Great Ruins are truly unfathomable."
He walked forward, gently pulling his hands apart. Streaks of sword light flew from between his fingers and palms, poised to sever the Little Buddha's divine treasures. Suddenly, Wei Wushen burst into laughter, "Yuan Ding, receive a bow from me!"
The small demonic cloud above the golden alms bowl shifted with a metallic clang, transforming into an altar, and Wei Wushen's primordial spirit bowed its head.
The Little Buddha's expression changed drastically. Xing Han sneered, "You want to kill him in front of me? Dream on!"
The sword light in his hand suddenly slashed down. Instantly, streaks of profound light wrapped around the Little Buddha's body, forming layers of seals and countless shifting runes that trapped the Little Buddha.
Wei Wushen bowed down on the altar. The Little Buddha grunted; even through Xing Han's seal, his primordial spirit was bowed out of his body, splitting into pieces and nearly scattering completely.
Xing Han's expression also changed. He struck out with a palm, aiming at the altar.
Wei Wushen burst into loud laughter. He stood up and bowed towards Xing Han. Xing Han's primordial spirit shook, his soul immediately disintegrated, and he fell stiffly to the ground, lifeless.
The golden alms bowl let out a colossal clang and shattered into four pieces. Wei Wushen's primordial spirit leaped out, stretched its body, and laughed heartily, "Mere mortals, chickens and dogs, utterly pathetic. You thought I wanted to kill Yuan Ding to embarrass you, but you didn't know I wanted to kill you! Good disciple, come here!"
Ban Gongcuo, clutching the leg, trembled uncontrollably.
Just then, Xing Han's box stirred. The box opened, and Xing Han sat bolt upright. He smiled faintly and said, "What excellent shamanic magic!"
