Chapter 457: God Burial Valley Liu Family

Xiong Qi’er held the Azure Dragon Pearl with both hands. The pearl was quite large, about the size of an adult’s fist, and she was too young, so holding it was a bit difficult for her.

Qin Mu observed Liu Ruyin's actions and immediately realized his guess was correct: the Azure Dragon Pearl indeed required an innocent, unblemished little girl to unleash its full power.

No wonder West Earth placed such importance on the little princess.

Liu Ruyin's sleeve covered her face, revealing only one eye. That eye was pale, with a pea-sized black pupil, which looked very strange.

"Please don't misunderstand, Cult Master Qin."

Behind Liu Ruyin, there was a continuous series of thuds as corpse-like "bodies" that resembled humans fell into coffins, and the coffin lids automatically closed.

Liu Ruyin also jumped into a coffin herself, lay down, and chuckled, "We just wanted to see if the little princess was alright. Now that we see she's safe and sound, Ruyin is relieved. Farewell!"

These coffins then grew legs and feet again, intending to run up the cliff.

Qin Mu suddenly said, "Hold on, Chief Liu."

Liu Ruyin was about to close the coffin lid. Hearing him, she immediately stopped and straightened up again, giving a strained smile. "Cult Master Qin, please give us a way out. Don't push us to total annihilation."

Her voice trembled; she was clearly terrified.

Qin Mu wondered, "Isn't it just the Azure Dragon Pearl?"

Xiong Qi’er held the Azure Dragon Pearl, and although she could unleash its power, Qin Mu didn't expect it to be too terrifying. Why were Liu Ruyin and the others so frightened?

"Chief Liu, is your visit this time at the True Heaven Palace's behest?"

Qin Mu spoke kindly. "Since it's at the True Heaven Palace's behest, then their expert must still be with your clan, right? I'd like to meet this True Heaven Palace expert. Chief Liu, could you introduce me?"

Liu Ruyin was slightly startled. Qin Mu's expression was as gentle as a spring breeze as he smiled, "Chief Liu, you might not know, but I entered West Earth without ill intent this time. I merely wanted to observe the local customs and traditions. As for bringing the little princess, that's only natural. After all, she's from West Earth and familiar with its geography."

"Familiar with West Earth's geography?" Liu Ruyin blinked.

Xiong Qi’er was only five or six years old and had lived in the True Heaven Palace since childhood. The only geography she was likely familiar with was that of the True Heaven Palace. What impression could she have of West Earth's geography? Having Xiong Qi’er lead the way was akin to the blind leading the blind.

"This Cult Master Qin from the Middle Earth truly has a knack for lying."

Liu Ruyin cautiously said, "Cult Master Qin, a mighty dragon cannot oppress a local snake. While you have a great background, my Liu family is not to be trifled with. Be careful not to cause a situation where both sides suffer."

Qin Mu looked surprised. "Chief Liu, what are you talking about? I merely want to meet the senior sister from the True Heaven Palace to clear up the misunderstanding between us. I have no ill intentions. If I truly did, I would have had the little princess activate the Azure Dragon Pearl long ago. Do you think you would still be able to escape?"

Liu Ruyin's expression kept changing. Qin Mu, however, had excellent patience; he stood there steadily, waiting for her reply.

He remained silent, and the "corpses" that were half-human, half-corpse in the other coffins also dared not move.

After a moment, Liu Ruyin chuckled, "Cult Master Qin has spoken; how dare I disobey? Cult Master, please come into my coffin. I'll take you to the Liu family to meet those senior sisters from the True Heaven Palace. I wonder if Cult Master Qin has the courage to enter my coffin?"

Qin Mu laughed heartily. "What's the harm in that?" Saying this, he jumped off Dragon Qilin's back, holding Xiong Qi’er, and approached Liu Ruyin's coffin.

He looked into the coffin and was momentarily stunned. The coffin didn't look large, but its internal space was astonishing. It was over ten zhang in length and width, and five or six zhang high inside, like a large house.

Moreover, there were tables, chairs, and jade beds inside. It was also divided into several compartments, with areas for living and dining, and even places for servants to reside. It was surprisingly not much different from a small palace.

Qin Mu clicked his tongue in wonder. When Liu Ruyin had jumped out of the coffin just now, he had been startled, thinking a zombie had actually emerged from the coffin. He hadn't expected the coffin was just Liu Ruyin's living quarters.

He looked at the other black coffins and thought to himself, "Are all these coffins the same, serving as residences for the Liu family disciples? These coffins with legs that can move on their own are remarkably similar to Senior Sister Yi Yi's mobile cities."

"Fatty Dragon, you can come in too!" Qin Mu turned and smiled.

Dragon Qilin hesitated. He shook his head, saying, "Cult Master, I'm rather superstitious, so I'd rather not go in."

Qin Mu jokingly cursed him, then jumped into the coffin with Xiong Qi’er, leaving Dragon Qilin outside.

With a thud, Liu Ruyin closed the coffin lid. Immediately, the group of coffins began to move swiftly, spreading their legs. Some coffins even floated in the air. They clustered around Liu Ruyin's coffin, traversing mountains and valleys, and sped towards the mountains.

Dragon Qilin quickly followed. After passing a few mountain peaks, he saw a huge mausoleum appear among the mountains. The many black coffins of the Liu family, like black boats floating in the air, entered in single file, sailing into the tomb through its enormous entrance.

Dragon Qilin shivered repeatedly and muttered to himself nervously, but he still braced himself and followed the group of coffins into the mausoleum.

Inside the coffin, Qin Mu sat down with Xiong Qi’er in his arms. Liu Ruyin sat opposite him. The two faced each other, and after a moment of silence, the atmosphere grew somewhat heavy.

Suddenly, Qin Mu smiled. "Chief Liu, who is the patriarch of your Liu family?"

The pea-sized black pupils in Liu Ruyin's eyes spun in layers, then returned to normal size. She smiled, "Cult Master Qin is an outsider after all, so you wouldn't know about my Liu family. This humble woman is the head of the Liu family."

Qin Mu was very surprised. He leaned slightly and said, "Then I wasn't wrong in calling you 'Chief Liu' just now. Sister Ruyin, your Liu family's cultivation method is very peculiar. When I first saw you, I thought you were corpses. Could you perhaps explain why?"

Liu Ruyin's heart warmed, and she couldn't help but happily roll her eyes at him. "Your words are so sweet. Among outsiders, especially men, who would dare to be so sweet-tongued when they meet me? It's a blessing from heaven if they don't die of fright! Some of those foul men were scared witless, some were scared out of their wits, but Cult Master Qin can still chat and laugh, and even calls me 'sister'."

Xiong Qi’er wondered to herself, "It seems Big Brother calls every woman he meets 'sister'..."

The aura of death around Liu Ruyin somewhat lessened. She smiled, "My Liu family's cultivation method is indeed unique. The Liu family, in fact, was not named Liu during their lives; they only took the surname Liu after death."

Qin Mu's heart trembled. He gasped, "Are you all...?"

Liu Ruyin said, "The origin of our West Earth Liu family is also extremely ancient. We are spirits born from corpses, gaining sentience. It is said that the ancestors of the Liu family were buried under a willow tree after death. Over time, sentience was born within their corpses, and thus they adopted the surname Liu. Because our clan is born from corpses, our physical bodies are dead, so we cannot procreate. However, we do have a lifespan; once the spirit's limit is reached, our souls will still dissipate. The world says that our Liu family is peculiar and doesn't associate with outsiders, but they've misunderstood us. It's not that we don't want to interact with outsiders, but because we are spirits formed from corpses, we fear being captured and refined into spirit weapons."

Qin Mu calmly said, "But the True Heaven Palace expert came to ask you to deal with me, and you agreed. Could it be that the True Heaven Palace has the power to destroy your Liu family and refine you into spirit weapons?"

Liu Ruyin's expression subtly changed.

Qin Mu burst into laughter. His expression became amiable again. He smiled, "Sister Ruyin, you are the patriarch of the Liu family, with cultivation and strength far surpassing mine. How could I possibly intimidate you? Your little brother here is truly just putting on an act, only capable of scaring people but having no real confidence."

Liu Ruyin sighed in relief. She smiled, "Oh, you truly gave me a fright, little brother. What is Cult Master Qin's cultivation level?"

Qin Mu honestly replied, "I'm only at the Six Directions Realm. Sister, you should be relieved now, right?"

Liu Ruyin was indeed relieved. However, she was still worried about the Azure Dragon Pearl in Xiong Qi’er's hands.

The Azure Dragon Pearl could be said to be the Liu family's greatest bane. If the power of this dragon pearl were unleashed, even the strongest experts of the Liu family would be utterly unable to contend with it!

The reason the Liu family submitted to the True Heaven Palace was also due to being intimidated by the Azure Dragon Pearl.

Qin Mu then asked, "Sister Ruyin, who is the person from the True Heaven Palace, and what is their cultivation level?"

"The person who came is an elder from the Yu family of the True Heaven Palace, Yu Ruyi."

Liu Ruyin said, "The Yu family expert's cultivation has also reached the Life and Death Realm; they are not to be underestimated."

Qin Mu nodded gently. People on West Earth didn't seem to place much importance on cultivation realms. The Myriad Gods Natural Technique was not originally about winning through cultivation; it was about comprehending nature and the world. The purer one's mind, the stronger their perceptive ability, and the better they could communicate with heaven, earth, and nature.

Of course, high cultivation and powerful creation divine arts were also extremely important for strength, but for the people of West Earth, the perception and comprehension of nature were paramount.

"Sister Ruyin, you should be relieved now, right?"

Qin Mu smiled, "This Sister Ruyi is at the Life and Death Realm, and I'm only at the Six Directions Realm, Sister Ruyin. If Sister Ruyi tries to kill me, you'll have to protect me."

Liu Ruyin showed a troubled expression. She reluctantly said, "I have some acquaintance with Yu Ruyi, so I can only ensure she won't act within the Divine Burial Valley. As for outside the Divine Burial Valley, I cannot guarantee the Cult Master's safety."

Qin Mu breathed a sigh of relief. He thanked her, "Thank you, Sister. What kind of place is this Divine Burial Valley where you reside?"

Liu Ruyin smiled, "We are currently in the Divine Burial Valley. Cult Master Qin, please exit the coffin!"

The coffin lid opened. Liu Ruyin led him out of the coffin, and Qin Mu looked around. He saw a vast underground world, with paths extending in all directions. The mausoleum's dome displayed sun, moon, stars, and celestial phenomena, and all around, numerous passages connected large and small tomb chambers. Many coffins were moving in and out of these chambers and passages.

A small coffin floated over. Its lid fluttered open, and a little girl tumbled out of the coffin and sat on its lid. She asked, "Mother, who is this?"

Qin Mu showed a look of confusion and looked at Liu Ruyin. Liu Ruyin looked crestfallen and whispered, "This is my Nannan. She died with me. My daughter and I were awakened by the elders here, so we live here... Never mind that. Didn't you want to meet Yu Ruyi? I'll go call her and introduce you. Perhaps it can clear up any misunderstandings between you two. Nannan, stay here with Big Brother."

The little girl sweetly replied and curiously examined Qin Mu.

Qin Mu, however, dared not underestimate this little girl. Although she was Liu Ruyin's daughter, they had died together and were awakened as spirits at the same time. Therefore, this little girl's cultivation realm was likely the same as Liu Ruyin's: a grand master at the Life and Death Realm or the Divine Bridge Realm!

He looked towards the center of the Divine Burial Valley. There, a golden coffin stood upright. Its surroundings were heavily secured by thick chains, and it was also covered in yellow talisman papers, which were inscribed with various runes.

Qin Mu asked curiously, "Who is inside this coffin? And why is it locked up?"

The little girl said, "My mother said it's a god inside. The god's corpse has become a spirit, but they feared he would do evil, so they locked him up."

"I see."

Qin Mu smiled, "Nannan, Qi’er, I'll perform a trick for you."

Saying this, he took out a giant jade eye from his gluttonous pouch. He smiled, "This eye of mine can glow."

Nannan excitedly asked, "How does it glow?"

Just then, Liu Ruyin's voice came. She chuckled, "Ruyi, that's Cult Master Qin. If you two have any misunderstandings, I can act as a mediator for you..."

Another woman's voice came, chuckling, "Resolve grievances? Alright, just hand over the little princess, and it can be resolved."

At that very moment, a dazzling light suddenly sliced through the gloom of the Divine Burial Valley. It flashed and was gone.

Qin Mu's laughter was heard, "Well, does it glow?"

Liu Ruyin was stunned. Then she saw Yu Ruyi, who was beside her, suddenly split cleanly in half.
