Qin Mu's face instantly drained of color, turning pale. He stammered, "Brother Tai Yi, please don't joke. How could I possibly bear such a responsibility? I'll call my whole family, old and young, and we'll move immediately!"

The youthful Tai Yi watched him with a half-smile, offering no resistance.

Qin Mu waited for a moment. Seeing that Tai Yi didn't stop him, he still didn't leave.

He then grew curious and asked, "Did Brother Tai Yi really transform into a Fowl Dragon?"

The youthful Tai Yi sighed helplessly and nodded.

Qin Mu eagerly asked, "Then, during New Year's, were you served on our dinner table?"

The youthful Tai Yi became even more resigned and nodded again. "It was the Blind Elder who did it; he said I was the fattest. You all ate very happily... But never mind that. You'll never leave the Hundred Thousand Black Mountains. Since you won't leave, what will you do?"

Qin Mu's eyes lit up. He clapped his hands decisively and laughed, "Of course, I'll continue mining! This place is full of gold. Excavating the ore veins from previous epochs will bring immense wealth, enough to strengthen Eternal Peace!"

The youthful Tai Yi was speechless for a long moment.

And Celestial Emperor Tai Chu, Earth Count, and Heaven Duke all know the dangers of the Ancestral Court, as do the Empress sisters. They won't make a move. Brother Tai Yi, you're worrying needlessly!"

As they were speaking, Jiang Yunjian flew over. "Godfather, an envoy from Heavenly Consort Yan requests an audience."

Qin Mu's heart stirred slightly. He handed the willow branch and small iron bucket back to the youthful Tai Yi, smiling, "My business has arrived, Brother Tai Yi. You can continue mending these black mountains yourself."

The youthful Tai Yi helplessly clutched the willow branch and held the bucket, watching Qin Mu depart.

Jiang Yunjian was about to slip away but was called back by the youthful Tai Yi. He obediently stopped, took the willow branch and small iron bucket from Tai Yi's hand, and reluctantly began mending this part of the world.

He let out a low roar, and an enormous void beast emerged from the depths of the void.

The Dragon Qilin leaped onto the back of this void mother beast and commanded, "Wake your young ones! We're going to rob—"

The void mother beast was far more powerful than before, its body several times larger. It shook the hollow bone-mountains on its back, and the air flowing through them produced a sharp whistling sound. Countless void beasts emerged from the void, forming a vast, mighty procession that swept away with the Dragon Qilin and the void mother beast.

Qin Mu sat in Xiu Hongsu's carriage, which was very fast and served as Heavenly Consort Yan's personal transport.

Just then, Qin Mu suddenly felt a ripple in the void. He pushed open the carriage window and looked out. "What are you looking at, Celestial Venerable Mu?" Xiu Hongsu asked with a smile.

Qin Mu withdrew his gaze and smiled faintly. "Nothing. Just a few little birds flying by."

"Little birds? How could there be birds in this Ancestral Court?" Xiu Hongsu chuckled, amused.

Qin Mu offered no further explanation. Suddenly, a colossal, earth-shaking roar came from outside. Both looked out and saw a mossy area, dozens of miles in circumference and covered with shrubs, rising from a swamp!

It was a colossal beast. Qin Mu recalled Celestial Venerable Gong mentioning that this type of giant beast was called a Que Qi, an ancient behemoth of the Ancestral Court!

This Que Qi appeared to be a young beast, yet it was already enormous. If it reached adulthood, it would likely be as astonishing as a moving continent!

However, the giant beasts of the Ancestral Court were supposedly extinct, all devoured by void beasts. How could there still be a Que Qi in this place?

Then, a rumbling vibration echoed from the swamp once more. Landmasses of varying sizes successively rose from the water, and hundreds of enormous Que Qi wandered through the swamp, emitting long, clear, resounding calls.

Qin Mu couldn't help but stare in astonishment.
