Chapter 1216: Wall Formation Lord Han Tianjun

Qin Mu looked up at the "sky" within the cubic prison. Its ceiling, floor, and four walls were all continents, each covered in various divine and demonic seals.

These continents were designed to trap the Celestial Works Gods on the Ark of Salvation, as well as the Ark itself. Mute's clansmen had once sacrificed countless lives to carve out a path.

The deaths of countless clansmen ultimately allowed Mute to escape the seal alive.

At that time, Mute was still a child.

He emerged from the seal alone, confronting the perilous Great Ruins. Despite the dangers, Mute survived and found his way out, only to then face human hearts far more treacherous than any ruins.

Qin Mu gazed expressionlessly at the face emerging on the "sky." It could so easily break through layers of seals, causing the land to undulate and form its features.

Yet, the seals remained intact, still present on its face. Such a feat could only be accomplished by the individual who had originally laid down the seals.

The ability to fold six continents to create this massive seal demonstrated incredibly profound cultivation and extraordinarily clever methods.

Its face appeared to be composed of countless small cubes, with each cube representing a sealed formation within a continent. These numerous cubes collectively formed its facial expressions, including its forehead, nose, ears, mouth, and even its eyeballs.

"Heh heh..."

The enormous face opened its mouth and let out a laugh, simultaneously spewing countless shards of rock that whistled as they flew towards the Ark of Salvation.

As its facial expression shifted, the countless cubes forming its face rippled, surged, and altered their height and position accordingly.

Its face was even larger than the Ark of Salvation. Its laughter echoed throughout the cubic prison, causing eardrums to buzz and momentarily drowning out all other sounds.

"Finally, he has arrived! The leader of the Celestial Works Gods, the War Heavenly King of the Kaihuang era!"

At that very moment, the land beneath the cube also transformed, becoming another equally massive face. It spoke in a hurried voice, laughing, "Li Youran, as a Heavenly King and leader of the human race, you are truly useless! You were too busy flirting with the Crimson Emperor to even protect your own people!"

The other four walls of the cubic prison each revealed a face as well, all laughing. "I had genuinely looked forward to battling you, to see what capabilities you, the Kaihuang's War Heavenly King, possessed. But to my surprise, you were all show and no substance, a mere paper tiger. I had no choice but to slaughter your people and seal the remaining old, weak, and infirm here."

With six faces speaking from six different directions, it continued, "I always intended to present your head as a trophy for commendation, but you fled. So, I had no choice but to torment your clansmen instead."

"You were flirting with the Crimson Emperor at the time, weren't you? The two of you, playing the roles of star-crossed lovers, indulging in such a melodramatic and tragic romance! While you were doing that, I was massacring your people!"

"I watched them desperately try to escape this place, desperately attempting to break the seals. My soldiers raised their butcher knives and slaughtered those fragile lives!"

"They were merely a group of blacksmiths, utterly powerless, unable to resist me or my army!"

Grief and indignation spread across Li Youran's face. On the Ark of Salvation, the monks slowly raised their heads, looking towards the faces on all sides.

"However, my soldiers eventually grew tired of killing. So, I sealed them away, intending for them to be trapped here for the next twenty thousand years until they died. But I'm quite the prankster; I left them a single weak point in the seal, just to give them hope."

The faces on the six walls of the cubic prison were ecstatic, their smiles twisting in glee. "Once they had hope, they would blindly rush into this trap, then exhaust their entire lives trying to break the seal. Yet, one by one, they perished within the seal! Heh heh heh heh—"

"Killing them all was too bothersome and time-consuming. Letting them die on their own meant I didn't even have to dirty my hands!"

The smiles on the six faces grew even more distorted, deforming their very eyes. "In the end, all the Celestial Works Gods died! Heh heh heh heh! They foolishly rushed into the trap like moths to a flame, throwing themselves into this seemingly hopeful path to freedom, but not a single one escaped alive!"

He burst into loud laughter. "After I left here, I resolved to find you, but I never expected you to flee to the Buddhist realm and become a bald monk! Yes, you destroyed the Kaihuang's Celestial Works Gods; you became detached from all worldly desires; you became utterly alone! Ha ha ha ha, you no longer seek revenge! And how did you completely sever your worldly ties and enter Buddhism? Was it because you believed the one who annihilated your clan was the Crimson Emperor—"

"But it was I!"

His voice, emanating from all directions, was filled with pride. "It was I, Heavenly Monarch Han of the Heavenly Court's Barricade Array!"

Li Youran, filled with extreme rage, was on the verge of waking from his dream. But at that moment, Qin Mu's voice resonated, penetrating his dream: "King Buddha, I am here to protect you. You can focus on repairing the Ark of Salvation."

Qin Mu's divine consciousness erupted as he activated the Boundless Calamity Sutra, causing Li Youran to fall back into a dream.

Qin Mu rose, expressionlessly observing the faces on the six walls of the cubic prison. "Heavenly Monarch Han of the Heavenly Court's Barricade Array, you are mistaken. The Celestial Works Gods are not extinct."

"Heavenly Venerate Mu?"

Heavenly Monarch Han's eighteen gazes landed on Qin Mu simultaneously, creating an intensely uncomfortable sensation. All six of his faces began to laugh. "So it's Heavenly Venerate Mu. Are you conspiring with rebels, planning an insurrection? Could it be that you are a descendant of the Celestial Works Gods? No, you are a descendant of the traitor Qin Ye..."

Another one of his faces laughed. "Within my grand seal, killing a Heavenly Venerate shouldn't be too difficult, should it?"

"Killing Heavenly Venerate Mu would surely delight the Heavenly Court's Ten Heavenly Venerates! It would guarantee my promotion and immense wealth!"

His other faces brightened, all chiming in with laughter. "It's more than just promotion and wealth! They'll bestow upon us endless glory and riches. It might even be our opportunity to become an Emperor!"

He burst into booming laughter, and the six vast continents, like incredibly viscous slurry, began to drip from six different directions towards the Ark of Salvation at the center.

These six continents had astonishingly transformed into six colossal droplets!

Qin Mu observed the six massive droplets. Each one was exceedingly turbid, yet they were not composed of mud, but rather individual cubes.

The entire "droplet" was formed by an arrangement of cubes, and within each cube stood a god or demon, arms outstretched and limbs splayed.

They collectively formed the "droplets," but upon closer inspection, one could discern that these gods and demons used their own bodies as fundamental runic symbols to create a peculiar array structure.

This was unlike any other array.

While other arrays employed diagrams or runic symbols for their construction, the Barricade Array utilized gods as its fundamental components.

The Heavenly Court's Barricade Array referred not only to the formation itself but also to the Barricade Army, a division within the Heavenly Court's forces renowned for its impenetrable defenses, akin to a wall of bronze and iron.

The Barricade Array was an ancient formation, once controlled by the ancient god, Barricade Star Lord. However, the Star Lord was evidently deceased, and Heavenly Monarch Han had taken control, allowing the Barricade Array to be passed down through him.

Interestingly, Qin Mu had previously observed Heavenly Monarch Han's array techniques through He Yiyi, an array master from the Western Lands.

Qin Mu was deeply impressed by He Yiyi's array techniques; as the foremost array master of the Western Lands, her skill was astonishing. It now appeared that the array techniques of the Western Lands, in addition to being inherited from the True Heaven Palace's True Heaven Old Mother, also carried a lineage from Heavenly Monarch Han.
