Chapter 1182: Brahma's Dream

She saw another dream: hundreds of herself and hundreds of Qin Mu were observing Emperor of Heaven Yin's divine arts, discussing them with each other, and mutually verifying their understanding.

Di Yiyue looked elsewhere and saw other dreams. In one, another version of her was chatting and laughing with Emperor of Heaven Yin, discussing how to perfect the Netherworld Gate, integrate the Four Emperor Seat cultivation methods into it, and unify those methods using the path of reincarnation.

These were re-enactments of scenes from her own memory!

She also saw many versions of Qin Mu and herself meticulously recording their conversations and deducing the cultivation methods and divine arts they discussed, leaving no detail overlooked.

Even Di Yiyue herself couldn't recall these events with such clarity!

Di Yiyue turned her head to look in other directions, seeing dreams of all sizes. These dreams recorded every moment she had spent with Emperor of Heaven Yin; some were incredibly beautiful memories, while others caused her pain.

There were scenes of her falling in love, scenes of Emperor of Heaven Yin attacking Fengdu, and scenes of her friends persuading her to leave him.

In each dream, there was a Di Yiyue and an Emperor of Heaven Yin, and various details she had never noticed before began to surface.

Finally, Di Yiyue's gaze settled on the last dream, which depicted her wedding ceremony with Emperor of Heaven Yin.

Qin Mu also noticed that scene, frowning. "Sister," he said, "I used my supreme divine consciousness to induce your memories into dreams, but I didn't expect to unearth this one. I'll extinguish this dream..."

"No need."

Di Yiyue shook her head, her gaze fixed on that dream. "When he killed me," she said, "he used his true abilities, which will be very useful for deciphering his reincarnation divine art."

Qin Mu was momentarily stunned but could only let her be.

Di Yiyue gazed blankly at the dream. The first half of the memory was her most beautiful and deeply ingrained, while the latter half was her most painful and equally unforgettable.

"I've also studied Buddhist teachings," Di Yiyue said, "and I once apprenticed under Great Brahma Heavenly King Buddha."

Di Yiyue seemed to awaken from that painful memory, smiling at Qin Mu as if nothing had happened. "I told the Old Buddha I wanted to learn his Emperor Seat True Scripture," she recounted. "He told me, 'You're too smart; you won't be able to learn it. This cultivation method is only for simple-minded people; the smarter you are, the less you can grasp it.'"

Qin Mu's face darkened. "I didn't learn it either," he grumbled. "The Old Buddha directly implanted it into my mind. I don't understand the principles; I just know how to use it."

Di Yiyue smiled. "I begged the Old Buddha to teach it to me, and he did, but I truly couldn't learn it. Later, I gave up on that idea and left the Buddhist realm. It was much later that I finally understood: it's not that only simple-minded people can learn it, but rather that the 'intelligence' required by the Immeasurable Kalpa Sutra is different from what we commonly mean. Even then, I still couldn't comprehend it."

As they chatted and laughed, Di Yiyue felt a torrent of information rapidly transferring from the dreams into her mind. This was the cumulative result of countless Qin Mus and Di Yiyues researching together across hundreds of dreams.

Qin Mu's Immeasurable Kalpa Sutra was no longer a mere Immeasurable Kalpa Sutra; it had become a new and unique divine art, born from its combination with supreme divine consciousness.

Di Yiyue had seen the Old Buddha utilize the Immeasurable Kalpa Sutra to enter the Dao through dreams. However, his method involved transforming into various life forms within his dreams, traversing different heavens and worlds, experiencing worldly affairs, and undergoing trials in the mortal realm.

When Great Brahma awakened from his dream, the diverse lives, circumstances, and experiences returned to his mind, making his wisdom more profound and perfectly refined.

The Old Buddha did not need to deduce or calculate; his goal was to achieve profound spiritual enlightenment.

He couldn't achieve what Qin Mu did.

Qin Mu's method of entering the Dao through dreams required powerful computational, deductive, and trial-and-error abilities. If the Old Buddha were to attempt to learn that, he would no longer be able to enter the Dao through dreams or experience the immeasurable kalpas.

This was the difference between him and Qin Mu.

This dream felt incredibly long to Di Yiyue; she lost track of how many years had passed. Countless versions of herself and Qin Mu collaboratively applied their wisdom, finally deciphering the path of reincarnation hidden within the Netherworld Gate.

As the dream dissipated, various insights returned to their minds, causing both of them to close their eyes and ponder their findings for a long time.

When Di Yiyue opened her eyes, she found herself still standing beneath the Netherworld Gate, while Qin Mu had apparently departed some time ago.

She saw the God-man Chixiu standing nearby. She beckoned, and the God-man Chixiu approached, saying, "Heavenly King, Celestial Venerable Mu asked me to stay and inform you that he has already left; he's been gone for half a day now."

Di Yiyue asked, "Did he leave any message?"

The God-man Chixiu replied, "He said that if you stay in Fengdu, you will never be able to exact revenge. To do so, you must venture out."

Di Yiyue pondered for a moment, then smiled brightly. "I understand," she said. "I'll go see Heavenly King Di Shitian. Only he can repair the ark of the other shore in the Primordial Realm."

Qin Mu left Fengdu and returned to the Heavenly Yin Realm.

Heavenly Yin Empress had been waiting for him for a long time. Seeing him emerge, she was overjoyed, waving and smiling. "Come here quickly!" she called. "I'll show you my magical divine arts; you're sure to be pleased!"

Qin Mu stepped forward, noticing that Heavenly Yin Empress had, at some point, sculpted numerous male and female clay figures from Heavenly Yin Gold mixed with mud, all standing on the ground.

Heavenly Yin Empress chuckled mysteriously. "I originally intended to use flowers and plants to imbue them with life," she explained. "But this place is where the black sand of souls gathers, making it difficult to grow anything. So, I had to sculpt clay figures instead."

As she cast her divine art, her eyes sparkled with excitement. The spell descended, and each clay figure opened its mouth, yawned, and instantly gained three spiritual souls and seven corporeal souls, transforming into a living being!

Qin Mu was utterly astonished; he had never witnessed such an ability before!

Although he had created his own soul, his method followed that of the innate ancient gods: by establishing heaven and earth within the Spirit Embryo Divine Treasure, ancient gods were derived, allowing his own soul to be born.

This differed from Heavenly Yin Empress's method, which directly endowed inanimate objects with souls, transforming them into living creatures!

"Don't move!"

Seeing the clay figures beginning to stir, Heavenly Yin Empress quickly waved her hands. "Don't move!" she exclaimed. "Your bodies are made of mud; if you move, they'll fall apart, and you'll die!"

Qin Mu raised his right hand, extended a finger, and with a gentle swipe, he cast the Path of Creation. Divine creation arts erupted, enveloping the clay figures. "Empress," he said with a smile, "besides yourself, your Heavenly Yin Realm has no native living beings yet. Let's combine our efforts today to complete them."

Instantly, these clay figures began to grow flesh and blood, developing internal organs, bones, muscles, and skin, quickly transforming into vibrant living beings!

The clay figures were both surprised and overjoyed, bouncing around together. After a moment, they prostrated themselves before Heavenly Yin Empress and Qin Mu, exclaiming, "Heavenly Father! Heavenly Mother!"

Heavenly Yin Empress, equally surprised and delighted, laughed. "Our divine arts can actually create true life! How interesting! I'll go make some more clay figures!"

As she was about to make more clay figures, Qin Mu quickly bid farewell. "This place of yours is a pure land," he stated, "but the outside world is not. I cannot stay here for long. Empress, you are no longer alone; you now have your own people, and you must be responsible for them."

Heavenly Yin Empress looked at him and smiled. "You've suddenly become so serious," she remarked, "it's quite startling."

Qin Mu chuckled, then waved his hand. "If external enemies break in and kill your people," he posed, "how will you respond?"

Heavenly Yin Empress watched him depart, then looked down at the little people scurrying about. These were the first native living beings of the Heavenly Yin Realm.

"I will protect them, I certainly will!" she thought to herself.
