Chapter 1155: Chaos Mineral Vein

Qin Mu hesitated. Judging by the divine stones in this ancient mine, the vein was already depleted, and the ancient god's egg within it had hatched.

This ancient mine now only offered the pervasive primordial chaos.

Claiming this place offered little benefit.

Moreover, venturing deeper might lead to an encounter with the ancient god that had hatched, so the best option was to retreat immediately!

The Ancient God Heavenly Emperor was not an ancient god born from an ancient god egg after fully absorbing the Primordial Mine. Instead, he was dug out of the mine by the Grand Emperor’s kin. During that era, the Creator race worshipped that egg, which caused the Heavenly Emperor, Taichu, to be born prematurely, before fully absorbing the mine's power.

He was a deformed, premature birth.

Yet, even so, Heavenly Emperor Taichu was the most powerful being!

His physical body remained unmatched to this day!

His Dao and magical power were still supreme; people even believed that only by cultivating to the complete Celestial Court realm could one contend with him!

If the ancient god from this mine had emerged, wouldn't that imply it was even more powerful than the Grand Emperor?

Qin Mu stood there, still hesitant, and whispered, "Perhaps this ancient god has already left, no longer in the mine. Or maybe it hasn't hatched yet, or perhaps it didn't fully absorb the mine's power... Going in to take a look won't kill me, right? Heh heh, I have the Glazed Azure Sky Pagoda, the world's foremost treasure, so what do I have to fear..."

He emboldened himself and walked deeper into the mine.

Yan'er and the Dragon Qilin shivered behind him, nervously looking around. They had transformed into human form and huddled together, trembling.

Little Earth Count was also trembling, squeezed between the two.

In the ancient mining tunnels, the spherical divine stones, though devoid of their strange energy, still emitted a serene glow. However, a slight touch would cause them to crumble.

Qin Mu moved cautiously, trying not to make any sound, and communicated with the Dragon Qilin and Yan'er telepathically: "Don't make any noise. These divine stones are embedded in the vein and could shatter at any moment, making the mine prone to collapse."

The Dragon Qilin responded telepathically, "A mine collapse wouldn't crush us to death."

Qin Mu retorted, annoyed, "Pay attention to the mine walls!"

The Dragon Qilin quickly looked at the mine walls and saw wisps of primordial chaos seeping out!

"This mine is within a mountain of primordial chaos, containing a vast amount of chaotic energy."

Qin Mu became even more cautious, his divine sense gently rippling: "With my current strength, even if I unleashed my full cultivation, I could only push the primordial chaos back five or six zhang. If the primordial chaos mountains on either side of this mine collapse, we would undoubtedly be crushed to dust! Even our primordial spirits wouldn't escape!"

The Dragon Qilin was startled and became even more careful, looking around nervously.

Suddenly, a slight tremor ran through the mine, and a small stone fell from the ceiling, landing on the Dragon Qilin's foot.

The Dragon Qilin's face immediately turned extremely ugly. Though small, the stone was terrifyingly heavy, as if a Sumeru Mountain had directly crushed his foot!

He was about to cry out in pain when Yan'er hastily covered his mouth, telepathically saying, "Don't shout, Pi Lang! If you shout, the mine will collapse! Just lift your foot and lick it clean."

Little Earth Count nodded repeatedly, opening his mouth and sticking out his tongue, mimicking a licking motion.

The Dragon Qilin was in tears, trembling as he lifted his leg, wanting to lick it but feeling too embarrassed.

Fortunately, Qin Mu noticed his injury and handed him a jade bottle.

"My Cult Master is truly kind to me. No wife, no adopted son, nothing compares to the Cult Master!" The Dragon Qilin was tearfully grateful.

This mine was extremely deep and spacious. Walking through it felt like traversing an underground world.

Massive skeletons littered the path; they were all Creators, but of lower status, likely slaves.

Creator miners were often slaves captured by large tribes from other tribes, specifically used for mining.

However, even as slaves, their strength was extraordinary, yet when faced with sudden changes, these Creators had no power to resist and died within this mine!

The mine grew progressively deeper, and the primordial chaos was very dense, sinking deeper into the mine. At the very bottom, the primordial chaos seemed to condense into a solid state, forming a tranquil sea of chaos.

Even with the twenty-eight heavens of the Glazed Azure Sky Pagoda pushing back the surrounding primordial chaos, Qin Mu found every step arduous.

The terrain gradually flattened, and enormous pillars, thick at the top and bottom but thin in the middle, supported a vast underground world.

This must be the center of the mine.

The primordial chaos was boundless.

Qin Mu gazed far ahead, even opening his vertical eye between his brows, but he still couldn't see very far or very clearly.

"Stay with me, don't get lost."

He transmitted telepathically: "Stepping outside the Glazed Azure Sky Pagoda's protective range means certain death!"

The Dragon Qilin's leg had not fully healed, and he limped to catch up. Suddenly, the mine trembled again, sending shivers down Qin Mu's spine, and he immediately stopped.

Fortunately, the trembling didn't last long, only causing loose stones to fall, which was quite startling.

With the Glazed Azure Sky Pagoda pushing back the surrounding primordial chaos, they searched this underground world for a long time but found nothing. Just as Qin Mu was about to leave, he suddenly saw a massive stone of primordial chaos standing in the chaotic mist ahead.

That chaotic stone appeared to have been carved into the shape of an extremely tall altar.

Around the altar lay some fragmented bones. The primordial chaos was so heavy that the Creators who had mined here were crushed to dust.

They had used axes and chisels to extract chaotic stones and gather divine stones, reaching this point. Then, they encountered something they had never seen before.

They cautiously chiseled and carved around this object, eventually revealing an altar.

By the time they had fully unearthed this object, a sudden change occurred: primordial chaos surged forth, killing all the Creators in the mine, with no one escaping!

Qin Mu steadied himself, laboriously moving the increasingly heavy Glazed Azure Sky Pagoda, and carefully ascended the altar.

The primordial chaos was too dense, making it extremely difficult to move the Glazed Azure Sky Pagoda. He had to activate the Hegemon Body Three-Elixirs Technique and his vertical eye, unleashing his full power to lift the pagoda.

After a long while, they finally reached the altar.

Qin Mu sighed in relief. What greeted his eyes was a flat altar platform. Clearly, the Creators who had mined this area had been very careful and meticulous.

They had used the object at the center of the altar as their focal point, making the surroundings as level as possible, and carefully chiseled away the chaotic stone around it, fearing to damage the contents within.

Qin Mu looked toward the center of the altar. There lay a cracked giant egg!

The ancient god within the egg had already hatched!

The altar and the cracked ancient god egg — this place was very similar to Heavenly Emperor Taichu's ancestral land in the Celestial Court!

The difference was that the altar where the Heavenly Emperor was born had been moved to the Celestial Court by the Heavenly Emperor himself, while this altar remained in the ancient mine.

Moreover, the Heavenly Emperor's altar was surrounded by the radiant glow of the Great Dao and resounding Daoist chants.

Here, however, was an oppressive, heavy primordial chaos, vast and boundless, without Dao, form, or substance!
