Chapter 1151: Intuition

Further away, Consort Yan also activated her unique treasure, a Tianzun artifact she had personally refined. A dazzling array of colors surged forth, sealing off the void and the ground, allowing her to establish a firm foothold.

Qin Mu frowned, searching around. However, Consort Qiang, Tianzun Gong, and others had already occupied prime locations, leaving him with few choices.

Dragon Qilin still couldn't accept that Fire Tianzun hadn't helped Qin Mu during the Battle of the Jade Pool, but instead had joined the ranks of those trying to kill him. He remained bewildered by this.

“Fire Tianzun was deeply affected by Celestial Venerable Yu's death,” Qin Mu said. “He changed the day Celestial Venerable Yu was assassinated.”

Qin Mu continued searching with Dragon Qilin and Yan'er. “Among the seven Tianzun of the Dragon Han era, six admired Celestial Venerable Yu immensely,” he explained. “Besides Celestial Venerable You, Fire Tianzun had the deepest emotional connection to him. Celestial Venerable Yu was their role model, an insurmountable peak in their hearts. After Celestial Venerable Yu's death, Celestial Venerable You fell into self-imposed seclusion for a million years. Fire Tianzun's ideology must have changed at that very moment. He hated the ancient gods, yet he wanted to become one himself.”

He paused, lost in thought. “Celestial Venerable You also said he changed,” Qin Mu continued. “And Celestial Venerable Yue's words hinted that he couldn't be trusted. But I always had a strong fondness for him, perhaps a bit of wishful thinking. Perhaps only Celestial Venerable Yu's resurrection can awaken him from this dream.”

Dragon Qilin laughed. “Celestial Venerable Yu has already been resurrected! As long as we retrieve his lingering soul from the Hall of Adornment, he won't be foolish anymore, and Fire Tianzun will surely have a change of heart! At that point, humanity will be saved!”

Qin Mu smiled. “I hope so.”

He unleashed his divine consciousness, forcing back a suddenly appearing void beast.

“These old foxes have all chosen a place to settle down; all the good spots are taken by them!”

Qin Mu's eyes flickered as he looked around, trying to find a prime location. However, all eight Tianzun had found excellent spots and were already entrenched there. How could Qin Mu possibly compete with them?

Moreover, each of these Tianzun possessed a Tianzun artifact to suppress the void, preventing void beasts from intruding. Before long, these Tianzun would likely have established their respective strongholds. By then, they would rush to ask Qin Mu to transport them out, and then send their disciples to manage the areas, expel void beasts, and mine various treasures.

“Even if I find a treasure trove, I don't have an artifact capable of suppressing the void beasts.”

Qin Mu blinked, thinking to himself: “The Lapis Lazuli Sky Pagoda cannot be taken out. While this treasure could indeed suppress the void and kill any void beast, if other Tianzun saw it, they would surely seize it. What's more terrifying is the ancient god egg inside the Lapis Lazuli Sky Pagoda…”

“Furthermore, I can't be trapped here forever, guarding a treasure site. Even if I were to invite the First Ancestor and the successive Human Emperors from the Human Emperor Palace to guard it, I fear the First Ancestor Human Emperor would not be a match for the Void Mother Beast…”

Qin Mu pondered, then a sudden inspiration struck him. His vertical eye on his forehead opened, and he looked around.

“Last time I came to the Grand Beginning mineral vein, void beasts couldn't enter it,” he mused. “This means all five major mineral veins deter void beasts from easily trespassing. However, I only know about the Grand Beginning mineral vein, which is already occupied by Celestial Venerable Xiao. Where the other four mineral veins are, only Consort Qiang and Tianzun Gong likely know.”

On the Qin character continent within his vertical eye, two colossal ancient god eggs were communicating. Suddenly, the ancient gods within the eggs seemed to sense the outside situation, and their Daoist chants immediately ceased. Both eggs emitted slight vibrations, appearing somewhat excited!

Qin Mu surveyed his surroundings, thinking: “I don't know the location of the other four mineral veins, but these two ancient god eggs definitely do! Instead of me stumbling around, it'd be better if they told me.”

The two ancient god eggs remained silent. Qin Mu blinked, waiting for a moment, but the two ancient god eggs still showed no sign of movement.

Qin Mu gritted his teeth and released a ripple of divine consciousness. Soon after, the sky suddenly split open, revealing a gigantic eye. The eye rolled around, then its gaze settled on Qin Mu. Immediately, an impossibly massive void beast squeezed out of the void and crashed to the ground.

Yan'er and Dragon Qilin cried out in alarm, quickly taking defensive stances.

The void beast was covered in void patterns; its six incredibly thick legs strode forward, each sharp claw gripping the ground. It circled them a few times, then its eyelids rolled upward, revealing a mouth full of sharp teeth.

Yan'er let out a soft cry, her primordial spirit appearing, ready to strike at any moment.

“Do you still recognize me?” Qin Mu asked with a smile.

The void beast's eyelids lowered, its mouth disappeared, and its head stretched toward Qin Mu. Qin Mu raised his hand, and the void beast gently rubbed against his palm. Yan'er let out a sigh of relief, but the void beast heard her exhale, leaped away, and watched her warily.

Dragon Qilin asked in surprise, “Cult Master, is this the void beast you subjugated back then?”

Qin Mu nodded, smiling. “It's been a million years, and it's still alive, even more powerful than before.”

He soared into the air, landing on the bone mountain behind the void beast's head, standing against the wind. Dragon Qilin and Yan'er quickly flew up and landed on the bone mountain as well. Seeing them, the void beast's eyelids rolled upward again, and it turned its head, emitting threatening whines.

Qin Mu took out the Lapis Lazuli Sky Pagoda, using this supreme treasure as a staff, and tapped it on the bone mountain. Only then did the void beast retract its ferocity, leaping up and galloping wildly through the mountains.

Qin Mu stood against the wind, leaning on the Lapis Lazuli Sky Pagoda. While the Lapis Lazuli Sky Pagoda was eye-catching, the other Tianzun were busy consolidating their respective territories and had no time to pay attention here. He completely indulged the void beast, letting it run freely without a destination.

Dragon Qilin and Yan'er stood beside him, looking around curiously. However, they noticed that the void beast Qin Mu had tamed wasn't running in a straight line; instead, it seemed to be wandering aimlessly. They couldn't help but feel secretly anxious: “If Cult Master (Young Master) doesn't find a treasure location soon, all the treasures will be taken by the Tianzun!”

The void beast traveled for over half a day, still moving aimlessly. However, a 'hunch' in its incredibly simple mind told it that this was not where its master wanted to go. This 'hunch' came from the ancient god egg within the Lapis Lazuli Sky Pagoda!

In terms of foresight, Qin Mu certainly wasn't as shrewd as the old ones like Celestial Venerable Xiao, Celestial Venerable Hong, or Consort Qiang, nor was he as experienced as the demigods like Celestial Venerable Hao or Ancestral God King. However, the celestial orb of the Lapis Lazuli Sky Pagoda was an ancient god egg born in the Ancestral Court mineral veins. Its insight and knowledge were definitely no less than that of Celestial Venerable Xiao, the Ancient God Heavenly Emperor!

Qin Mu knew that the two ancient god eggs he possessed were wary of him. So, he simply summoned the void beast he had subjugated and let it roam freely, allowing the ancient god egg within the Lapis Lazuli Sky Pagoda to lead him to a treasure location.

The void beast traveled for three days at an extremely fast speed, a blur of motion. Other void beasts couldn't even clearly see it before it had already sped past. On this day, the void beast finally arrived at a desolate area and stopped moving forward.

Qin Mu stood on high ground, looking around. He saw that the surroundings were filled with dilapidated mine shafts, like black holes plunging deep into the earth, winding and twisting into an ancient mountain range. Faint glows of light ascended from the mine shafts, and a rich aura of treasures permeated the air.

The prehistoric Creators had left traces of their mining activities here. However, only tall skeletons remained, the corpses of the Creators. The ground in the distance cracked open, revealing several large eyeballs that rolled around. These were nearby void beasts secretly observing them.

Qin Mu paid no mind to them, putting away the Lapis Lazuli Sky Pagoda. Just as he was about to enter the camp left by the Creators, a slender woman walked out from it, meeting his gaze. Both were momentarily stunned.

“Tianzun Gong,” Qin Mu greeted.

“Tianzun Mu,” Tianzun Gong returned the courtesy, saying, “I have already repaid your kindness during the Battle of the Jade Pool, Tianzun Mu. We owe each other nothing now. This is my Nu Xin clan's mineral vein; I will not yield it to you.”

Upon hearing her personally confirm that she was one of the three Tianzun who had rescued him during the Battle of the Jade Pool, Qin Mu still felt a pang of disappointment: “As expected, Fire Tianzun was not among them.”

“My apologies for the intrusion,” Qin Mu bowed, patted the void beast, and said, “I'll go search for another treasure location.”
