Chapter 1123: Jizhou White Earth Ancient God

"Kill a few ancient gods?"

Yu Chudu was startled. After Qin Mu walked away, he recovered his senses and quickly caught up, whispering, "Uncle-master, who exactly are you?"

Long Qilin chuckled, "Naturally, he's Heavenly Venerable Mu. Didn't you hear Jing Baichuan just now? Our cult master is Heavenly Venerable Mu, also the National Teacher of Yankang, and the Cult Master of the Heavenly Saint Cult. Have you heard of the Heavenly Saint Cult?"

Yu Chudu shook his head blankly, "I was born in Jiuzhou and have never left my entire life..."

Long Qilin brightened up and patiently explained, "The Heavenly Saint Cult was founded by your teacher, the Great Cult Master Wei Suifeng, Emperor Yunluo, in his early years. It has 361 halls and adheres to the Way of the Sage for the common people's daily use. How does one become a Sage? By achieving the Three Establishments: establishing a doctrine, establishing words, and establishing deeds. With these three, one becomes a Sage. Now is the time to recruit talent, Brother Yu. You are a disciple of Emperor Yunluo, and the Heavenly Saint Cult was founded by Emperor Yunluo, so you..."

Under Long Qilin's persuasion, Yu Chudu, a grand master of the Jade Capital realm, found himself somewhat bewilderedly joining the Heavenly Saint Cult and agreeing to become a Protector Elder.

The Jiuzhou ancient gods are not Star Lords; they have no ancestral stars, only ancestral lands.

These nine ancient gods were born from the sacrifices of the creation masters who lived here in the primordial era. Their ancestral lands are at the center of Jiuzhou, and each ancient god has their place of birth.

Around the ancestral land of the Baitian ancient god of Jizhou, lightning flashed and thunder roared. Thunderclouds completely enveloped the mountains, layer upon layer, their depth unknown. Approaching the area, the thunder was deafening, and there were no living creatures anywhere.

Any creature that approached this place would be struck down by lightning.

Qin Mu looked from afar and saw mountains within the thunderclouds. The mountains were bleached white by the lightning, and on the peaks within the thunderclouds stood majestic golden-armored divine beings.

These divine beings were likely deities who followed the Baitian ancient god, continuously striking large cymbals to create thunderous sounds, attacking the primordial spirits of those who dared to intrude.

To maintain their mystique and sacredness, the Jiuzhou ancient gods allowed thunderclouds to shroud their ancestral lands. Even newly cultivated deities found it difficult to pass through the thunderclouds to enter.

Therefore, after cultivators in Jiuzhou became deities, they still needed to pass the lightning tribulation to be qualified to enter the nine great ancestral lands, pay respects to the ancient gods of the Jiuzhou world, and become their divine generals.

To the beings of the Jiuzhou world, the Jiuzhou ancient gods were mysterious and elusive, like a dragon whose head is seen but not its tail, full of mystique. Thus, many people offered sacrifices to them.

Qin Mu led Yu Chudu, Yan'er, and Long Qilin through the lightning layer. Yu Chudu was surprised to see that the golden-armored divine beings guarding the lightning layer truly seemed not to see them. Even when they walked right under their noses, the divine beings remained oblivious.

"Uncle-master is truly formidable! Such mastery of divine sense is unheard of!" he marvelled to himself.

They delved deep into the layers of thunderclouds. For the first time, Yu Chudu saw the full view of the Baitian ancient god's ancestral land. Surrounded by mountains and shrouded in thunderclouds, a colossal altar, a thousand miles across, appeared before them.

The altar was enormous, many times larger than the altar of the Spirit Energy Mutual Shift Bridge. Its builders were unknown.

Amidst the lightning and mist surrounding the altar, there were incredibly tall skeletal figures, prostrating themselves towards the altar in worship.

Thousands upon thousands of skeletal figures circled the colossal altar, layer after layer. These towering remains were like small hills, comparable to giant gods.

Yu Chudu walked next to the skeletal figures and looked up, seeing that each one had a rhombic gemstone embedded in its forehead. These gemstones still emitted a faint, ethereal glow.

The light flowed from the skeletons' brows towards the altar, subtly, almost imperceptibly.

"These are the creation masters, the creators of the Baitian ancient god," Long Qilin whispered.

Yu Chudu gazed at the skeletal figures with a sense of awe. Although the creation masters who created the ancient gods might not have been stronger than him, their creation of such unique life forms as ancient gods was worthy of respect.

The ancient civilization possessed a unique charm.

They ascended the altar, where numerous gods and devils were present. It was unclear if they were descendants of the Baitian ancient god or deities who had passed the lightning tribulation to arrive here.

The Baitian ancient god had built a divine city on the altar, a city of immense luxury. The deities of this divine land indulged in extreme extravagance, reveling in pools of wine and forests of meat. Qin Mu led Yu Chudu and Long Qilin through the divine city, where they even saw uneaten "sacrifices" confined in cages.

These were offerings from the various Baitian tribes to the demigods, consisting of slaves from different races, including many humans.

The people confined in cages were terrified and restless, but more often, they were numb, their eyes vacant, only blinking after a long while.

"Nephew Yu, you're a native deity here. You should be familiar with the history of Jiuzhou and the Three Pillars Heavens, right?"

Qin Mu paused and asked, "Has this place not experienced the Dragon Han Revolution or the Crimson Light Revolution?"

Yu Chudu thought for a moment and replied, "My teacher told me about the revolutionary reforms of the Dragon Han and Crimson Light eras, and also mentioned some things about the Emperor Sovereign era. However, this isn't the Primordial Realm. Like other heavens, this place hasn't changed for a million years. Our ancestors, generation after generation, have lived this way."

Qin Mu stared blankly.

How grand and momentous were the Dragon Han Revolution, the Crimson Light Revolution, the Emperor Sovereign Reforms, and the Founding Emperor Reforms?

Yet, they failed to spread beyond the Primordial Realm, failing to affect the various heavens throughout the universe.

Outside the Primordial Realm, people's lives had never changed. They were still enslaved by ancient gods and demigods, just as it was in the early years of the Dragon Han.

They had become numb, having accepted the fate of their ancestors, their own fate, and even the fate of their future descendants.

Only in the Primordial Realm, over a million years, have benevolent and courageous individuals emerged ceaselessly, constantly resisting, struggling, and initiating reforms.

Qin Mu raised his head, looking distantly towards the center of the altar.

At the center of the altar, where the power of sacrifice converged, a magnificent ancient god came into their view.

The ancient god was entirely white, like a white ape, with grotesque muscles, four arms, and lumps of flesh protruding from its body. A vermilion sharp horn grew from its head. It was drawing in the power of sacrifice, breathing in and out.

Its physical body was as vast as a mountain, expanding and contracting with each breath. Every movement of its muscles brought forth thunder and lightning.

Thousands of deities surrounded it, their voices resonating with Dao sounds, tempering its body with these sounds.

Other deities wielded bone hammers. Skull after skull flew out of the bone hammers, soaring into the cages and extracting the souls of the sacrificed beings.

The skulls flew back, circling the ancient god, expelling the extracted souls, which were then drawn into the Baitian ancient god's body with its breath.

This ancient god, who ruled Jizhou Baitian, actually practiced diligently day and night, even more assiduously than post-celestial beings!

He could even use the souls of post-celestial beings for cultivation, an act full of malevolence and eeriness.

Although ancient gods found it difficult to break through the shackles of their own Great Dao, they could continuously explore and advance along their Dao, maximizing its power.

Clearly, the Baitian ancient god was such a being.

Yan'er felt a bit uneasy and reminded him, "Young Master, ancient gods are stronger in their ancestral lands. We should lure this Baitian ancient god out of its ancestral land and kill it outside."

Long Qilin also felt a faint unease, saying, "This ancient god seems even stronger than the Five Elemental Star Lords were back then! Cult Master, perhaps we should plan more carefully..."

Qin Mu stopped.

Yan'er and Long Qilin breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly, Qin Mu took out the Lapis Lazuli Azure Sky Pagoda and planted it in the ground.

Yan'er and Long Qilin's hearts skipped a beat. They watched as Qin Mu bowed deeply to the Lapis Lazuli Azure Sky Pagoda and declared in a deep voice, "Beloved, please manifest the Twenty-Eight Heavens!"
