Earth Count and Heaven Duke bowed in greeting. They said, "Greetings, Fellow Daoist Gongsun."

Gongsun Yan was flustered and stood awkwardly.

Qin Mu smiled. "Sister Yan, aren't you going to return their greeting?"

Gongsun Yan could only return the bow.

Heaven Duke smiled. "The Primordial Realm and Xuandu are essentially one family. Fellow Daoist Gongsun, you should visit Xuandu often in the future, to strengthen the bond between our two realms."

Gongsun Yan was bewildered. She could only nod in agreement.

She did not grasp the true weight of Heaven Duke's words, but the Earth Mother was furious.

Heaven Duke's intention was to acknowledge Gongsun Yan as the new Earth Mother of the Primordial Realm, who would rule the Primordial Realm. She would be his equal, hence the address of "Fellow Daoist" and the invitation to Xuandu.

This was undoubtedly throwing the Earth Mother aside, indirectly stripping her, the Primordial Realm's rightful ruler, of her authority!
