Chapter 1056: The Ancient God's Background

The so-called oviparous ancient god refers to the Ancient God Heavenly Emperor.

Luoxiao explained, "Among our creator races, the most powerful is the Ju Yu clan. They controlled the ancestral court's prime territory, which abounded with natural treasures and contained the most ancient Primeval Divine Stone vein. Our creators' supreme sacred object, the Primeval Origin Stone, was mined from that very vein. However, right beside the Primeval Origin Stone, they also unearthed a colossal egg. After this egg hatched, it became the Ancient God Heavenly Emperor."

Qin Mu was astonished. Although he had heard Shujun and Langhuan mention this story, Luoxiao's account was far more detailed.

The Ancient God Heavenly Emperor's egg originated from the same source as the Primeval Origin Stone—both from the Primeval Divine Stone vein!

Did the Ancient God Heavenly Emperor and the Primeval Origin Stone share some subtle connection?

Luoxiao continued, "The second type of ancient god is Dao-born. When the first creator died, Youdu was born. With the advent of death, a resting place for souls emerged in the heavens and earth, and thus, Earth Duke came into being from Youdu."

"When creators used their divine consciousness to manipulate the natural forces of heaven and earth, the trajectories of stars changed under their power. Consequently, Xuandu was born, and Heavenly Duke came into being, governing all heavens and myriad worlds, and the countless celestial orbits."

"When souls perished, Heavenly Lady Yin was born, gathering fractured souls."

"When creators manifested creations in the void, creating stars in the void and all things in Yuandu, Guixu appeared. Guixu represents creation and destruction, devouring everything created in the void and spewing out destroyed matter. Within Guixu were two flowers growing on a single stalk, one representing creation and the other destruction."

Hearing this, Qin Mu looked at Dahong and Gu Xiao, who were feigning shock on their faces. Qin Mu inwardly sneered.

Of the four people in the carriage, Qin Mu knew the least, followed by Luoxiao. Those who knew the most about the ancient god history Luoxiao was recounting were precisely Dahong and Gu Xiao, who were trying to look shocked!

Luoxiao said, "Ancient gods were born from the flowers, but they were not the flowers themselves. Because creation and destruction are one, the two of them were considered a single ancient god. Earth Duke, Heavenly Duke, Heavenly Lady Yin, and the Guixu sisters are known as the Four Primal Gods. They are Dao-born ancient gods. The third type of ancient god is born from sacrifice."

He continued, "Ancient gods born from sacrifice emerged later. They were spirits, also called sacred objects, created by various clans gathering all their creators to collectively sacrifice and pool their divine consciousness to protect their respective tribes. The Five Planetary Ancient Gods, the True Gods of the Circumpolar Stars, and even the Great Sun Star Lord and Lunar Ancient God, were all born from sacrifice. They were originally meant to guard the clans, and we refer to them as Spirit Gods."

Qin Mu's heart stirred, and he asked, "What about the Four Emperors of the Ancient Gods?"

"The Four Emperors of the Ancient Gods were Spirit Gods envisioned and born from the sacrifices of the four most powerful tribes of that era."

Luoxiao said, "In the Primordial Era, various clans were constantly engaged in wars and killings. The power of a single creator was limited, but when the creators of a clan united, their power became astonishing. Together, they meditated and sacrificed, creating exceptionally powerful beings. Among them, the four most powerful tribes envisioned and created the Four Emperors of the Ancient Gods."

"Nü Xin created the White Tiger, Fang Bo created the Azure Dragon, Ju Yu created the Black Tortoise, and Yang Lu created the Vermilion Bird. This is the origin of the Four Emperors of the Ancient Gods. Other clans, both large and small, created the True Gods of the Stars. Because each clan's envisioning differed, and they sought different types of power, the attributes of these Spirit Gods also varied."

Luoxiao said, "All clans regarded these Spirit Gods as weapons to guard their tribes. In wars between races, creators and Spirit Gods fought alongside each other against their enemies. Later, the Ju Yu clan grew stronger, forming a situation of one Emperor and three Kings. The Emperor was Taidi Ju Yu clan, and the three Kings were Fang Bo Shujun, Nü Xin Gongxun, and Yang Lu Boyang."

Qin Mu suddenly understood, saying, "So that's how it is."

Gu Xiao and Dahong also showed expressions of sudden understanding, exclaiming in unison, "So that's it! Brother Luo is truly learned, to know so many stories."

"Our creator race inherits history and wisdom through divine consciousness, which is how I know the origins of the ancient gods," Luoxiao said modestly.

Luoxiao humbly replied, "However, much history has been lost in wars. The fourth type of ancient god is born from heaven and earth."

Qin Mu's heart stirred, and he exclaimed, "Mother Earth Primordial Lord!"

"Mother Earth Primordial Lord is one of them, and also the strongest," Luoxiao confirmed.

Luoxiao said, "These ancient gods are born from heaven and earth. Examples include Mother Earth Primordial Lord, formed from the primordial tree; True Dragons, formed from dragon veins; Phoenixes, formed from the essence of wind and fire; Qilins, formed from mountain spirits, and many more. These ancient gods vary in strength and come in numerous forms."

Qin Mu fell into thought.

Each of these four types of ancient gods possessed its own strengths.

Even among the ancient gods born from sacrifice, there were powerful beings like the Four Emperors of the Ancient Gods, and among those born from heaven and earth, there were formidable experts like Mother Earth Primordial Lord.

Among the Dao-born ancient gods, there were also "weaker" existences like Heavenly Lady Yin.

Of course, Heavenly Lady Yin's "weakness" was only relative to Heavenly Duke and Earth Duke; in reality, she was still extremely powerful. After being resurrected by Qin Mu, Heavenly Lady Yin had broken free from the constraints of the Great Dao, making her even stronger now.

Gu Xiao suddenly asked, "The birth of ancient gods is all related to creators, so why did the ancient gods then destroy the creator race? As a creator, Brother Luo, are you aware of this?"

Luoxiao shook his head, "Our creator race endured the War of Destruction and the Blood Rust War. Much of our history was obliterated, and the ancestral court vanished. I came out this time to search for the lost history concerning these two wars. At the same time, I also want to see if there's any chance for the creator race to return to the ancestral court."

Gu Xiao's eyes gleamed as he asked, "If you were to uncover the lost history and discover that the creator race was justly punished, how would you then reconcile with that?"

Luoxiao's face flushed, and he retorted, "I don't know about other things, but my clan members who taught me were all good people. We opened up the void to escape chaos, not because we were heinous villains! I refuse to believe our ancestors were justly punished."

Gu Xiao smiled, "Whether it was justly deserved or not, I'm afraid it's not for you, Brother Luo, to judge, as you know little about that dark period of the Primordial Era."

Dahong, smiling broadly, said, "So, Brother Xiao knows a great deal about the dark period of the Primordial Era?"

Gu Xiao quickly replied, "I was just speaking generally, Brother Hong, don't scare me."

Both burst into laughter.

Qin Mu also laughed along.

Luoxiao watched the three of them laughing merrily, not understanding what they were laughing about, and could only chuckle along twice.

The smile slowly faded from Qin Mu's face as he looked out the window.

Qin Mu knew little about the ancient gods and the changes of the Primordial Era because the creators of the other shore world had endured successive extinctions, and their ancestral spirits also knew little about ancient times.

In Luoxiao's era, the creators in the Great Void still knew some ancient history, but he was completely unaware of the reasons why the creators were destroyed by the ancient gods.

In the future, after the creators of the Great Void were annihilated by Taidi, those who fled to the other shore world were often a new generation, leading to another loss of historical records.

By then, Luoxiao would be dead, transformed into an ancestral spirit, and moreover, he would be insane and disoriented, resulting in yet another loss of creator history.

The Celestial Dragon Chariot sped along, and the scenery outside the window had changed to a starry sky. Yan'er ran to the back of the chariot, gazing at the Primordial World, which now appeared very small.

They passed by a large red sun, which was ancient, having entered its old age and grown incredibly massive. Ancient continents floated near the sun, bearing ruined cities, though no divine beings resided there anymore.

Yan'er looked at those cities, her heart stirring. She had the Dragon Qilin steer the chariot closer.

The Celestial Dragon Chariot flew towards the continent, weaving through the colossal structures.

This was a desolate divine city. Its walls were incredibly smooth, forged by methods beyond current craftsmanship.

Qin Mu also saw this scene, his heart stirring. "This is a creator city," he thought.

Luoxiao also leaned by the window, gazing at the city outside, his eyes distant, lost in thought.

The Celestial Dragon Chariot flew out of the continent, its six celestial dragons now immensely large, revealing their true forms as they streaked through the starry sky with increasing speed. The chariot itself had become enormous, like a magnificent palace for gods, splendid beyond measure.

Standing inside the chariot and looking up, one could see clusters of stars forming an extraordinary spectacle, like a canopy representing Xuandu's heavenly path, utterly captivating.

Dahong, Gu Xiao, and Luoxiao were all exclaiming in wonder. Although they had boarded this chariot, they hadn't had a chance to examine it closely until now.

Upon closer inspection, they were awestruck. The chariot's splendor surpassed even contemporary craftsmanship and manufacturing standards; not even a Heavenly Emperor's personal carriage could compare!

"Where did Mu Qing get such a luxurious chariot?" both wondered, utterly baffled.

Heavenly Venerate Mu was consecrated a Heavenly Venerate for establishing a path through divine arts, but could he alone have delved into divine arts to this extent?

Dahong approached Qin Mu, who was cultivating, activating his cultivation technique, uniting his vital qi, divine consciousness, and primordial spirit. Yet, even Dahong couldn't discern the scenes within Qin Mu's divine treasures and heavenly palaces.

"If Gu Xiao wasn't here, I could thoroughly research this kid and see why he's so powerful," Dahong thought.

Dahong, smiling broadly, said, "Brother, your divine arts are extraordinary. I've observed all the divine saints in the world, and none can surpass you. What is your cultivation technique?"

"It has nothing to do with cultivation technique," Qin Mu replied.

Qin Mu opened his eyes, which were pure and clear, and stated earnestly, "It's related to my physique."

Dahong uttered an "Oh" and humbly inquired, "May I ask, Brother, what kind of physique do you possess?"

"Hegemonic Physique!"

Qin Mu inadvertently exuded immense confidence: "My physique is called the Hegemonic Physique. I can establish a path through divine arts, far surpassing all divine saints in the world, precisely because my physique is the best—the Hegemonic Physique, unparalleled under heaven. Others might spend centuries trying to comprehend divine arts and still not master them, but I can learn them with a little study, and with further comprehension, I can enter the Dao!"

Dahong was startled. He recalled that they had indeed heard rumors about the Hegemonic Physique at the Jade Pool Grand Assembly back then, apparently spread by that brawny man named Niuben.

Qin Mu was utterly sincere, his gaze allowing no hint of falsehood. He said, "Elder Brother Hong, actually, I'm not strong at all; I just have a good physique. If you possessed this peerless Hegemonic Physique, you would definitely be much stronger than me. Unfortunately, there's only one Hegemonic Physique per era."

Dahong was half-convinced, half-skeptical. He asked, "Then, Brother, could you teach me a few powerful divine arts that lead to the Dao?"

Qin Mu magnanimously replied, "Why not? To tell you the truth, I've made significant progress in studying divine consciousness arts these past years. I'll teach you how to use divine consciousness to cast divine arts. First, I'll teach you contemplation..."

Dahong listened silently to his explanation of contemplation, then said, "I am enlightened."

Qin Mu chuckled, "Between brothers like us, there's no need for such formality. Go and comprehend it first; this divine consciousness contemplation cannot be learned without a century or two."

Dahong turned to leave, then glanced back at Qin Mu, thinking, "This kid seems to know my identity; he's trying to fool me with divine consciousness contemplation. Hegemonic Physique, heh heh, is there really such a physique...?"

On the other side, Gu Xiao was talking with Luoxiao. Luoxiao recounted his experiences within his clan and his childhood embarrassments to his sworn brother, and Gu Xiao burst into laughter.

Qin Mu glanced over, feeling a massive headache.

He was meticulous, but Luoxiao was almost spilling all the secrets of the Great Void creators.

"Thankfully, he didn't reveal the exact location of the Great Void. But in the future, the creators of the Great Void will still be nearly exterminated. It won't be the Ancient God Heavenly Emperor who finds them, but Taidi."

Qin Mu retracted his gaze and activated the Hegemonic Physique Three-Elixir Art. He used his own divine treasures as a universe, needing no external means or absorption of ambient spiritual qi and energy to enhance himself.

The Hegemonic Physique Three-Elixir Art had always been operating autonomously, but this time, he tried to cross the South Heavenly Gate of several of his already mature Heavenly Palaces, with the main Heavenly Palace being the most crucial.

He had to attempt to enter the True God realm, even if only halfway.

Because Dahong and Gu Xiao were too dangerous!
