The vast wilderness was filled with the roars of strange beasts and the cries of flying creatures. Various destructive energies spread outwards, and one could easily lose their life if caught in them.
In the wild, even True Gods had to proceed with caution, fearing they might provoke terrifying strange beasts.
A spatial ripple streaked across the sky. It was Luo Feng, his servant Morosa, and Moyu Hu, the three of them, hurtling straight through space, directly towards Huyang City.
"An Eternal True God!""It is an Eternal True God!"From a distance, the roaring beasts instantly plunged underwater in fear, while large flocks of avian creatures soaring through the sky scattered far away. Absolute silence fell wherever the spatial ripple passed. Not a single beast dared to make a sound.
"All the beasts have gone silent," remarked a True God exploration team, watching the receding spatial ripple from afar with envy and awe. "Only an Eternal True God would dare to be so unreserved in the wilderness."
"If only I could become an Eternal True God in this lifetime..." a team member mused.
"Chan Muhe, you certainly aim high! My wish is much more modest: I'd be content just to settle in Huyang City.""Huyang City? That's a major city! You need a Chaos Crystal to live there for one epoch. Can you afford that?"
After a brief chat, the True Gods resumed their journey.
Luo Feng's group continued their swift and unimpeded flight.
"So this is how Eternal True Gods travel!" Moyu Hu exclaimed, savoring the sensation. "Whenever I left the city before, I had to be extremely cautious, concealing every trace of my aura. This uninhibited, carefree flight is truly exhilarating!"
Meanwhile, Luo Feng and Morosa observed the Origin Continent.
They had previously only known about it through intelligence reports, but now they were witnessing it firsthand: majestic mountains stretching for billions of miles, rivers that seemed to flow endlessly, unfathomably deep lakes, and a myriad of wondrous beasts. Both Luo Feng and Morosa found it utterly captivating.
The beasts possessed acute senses; detecting the spatial fluctuations from afar, they all fled and hid.
"They're quite perceptive," Luo Feng noted. He didn't bother capturing these weaker beasts for two reasons: firstly, each beast possessed unique talents, making them difficult to catch; secondly, their value was too low to warrant his effort.
"Revered Lord, that's the lair of an Eternal True God-level beast up ahead," Moyu Hu said, pointing into the distance. "It's called a Horned Serpent, and it's adept at burrowing. Even Huyang City's army has launched multiple attempts to capture it, but they've all failed."
"A Horned Serpent?" Luo Feng's interest was piqued. Eternal True God-level beasts were highly valuable! He had arrived on the Origin Continent with nothing, and he was unwilling to part with the rare treasures he possessed, so he needed to find a way to acquire resources.
"Maintain your Void True God aura so you don't scare off the Horned Serpent," Luo Feng transmitted."Yes, Master," Morosa replied. As a perfect divine body, Morosa's disguised aura was flawless; he had maintained the facade of a Void True God ever since arriving on the Origin Continent.
As a World Beast, he needed to maintain an extremely low profile on the Origin Continent. With enough time and energy, he would eventually reach his peak.
Luo Feng, however, required sufficient tempering to achieve his growth.
Luo Feng, Morosa, and Moyu Hu all reduced their speed, beginning to suppress their aura fluctuations as they neared the Horned Serpent's lair.
*Buzz.* Deep within a distant mountain, a giant golden eye vaguely fixated on Luo Feng and his companions from afar. Instantly, Luo Feng felt the spatial pressure surge by billions of times; space itself began to warp, and surrounding rocks and trees silently disintegrated into dust.
Luo Feng's divine power instinctively countered this terrifying pressure, simultaneously shielding his companions.
"Eternal True God, what do you want?" the massive Horned Serpent questioned, its thoughts transmitted from deep within the mountain, regarding Luo Feng with clear apprehension.
Luo Feng ignored the query and accelerated directly towards the mountain.
"Dare to pursue?" the massive Horned Serpent challenged via thought, before vanishing into thin air moments later.
Luo Feng stopped. He could sense that the Horned Serpent's aura had already burrowed deep into the earth, continuing its escape even further down.
"Earth遁行," Luo Feng murmured, frowning. "Time, space, and even matter on the Origin Continent are incredibly stable. Even for me, burrowing is quite difficult. Yet, this Horned Serpent vanished instantly. It must have mastered some fundamental law related to the earth."
"Master, should we continue the pursuit?" Morosa asked."We can't catch it," Luo Feng replied, shaking his head.
Luo Feng had mastered the Law of Life and Death, and Morosa specialized only in the Grand Dao of Destruction. Both of them excelled in direct combat and were quite ordinary when it came to 'earth evasion'.
"These beasts are truly astonishing," Luo Feng mused. "Despite their seemingly lower intelligence, they naturally master fundamental laws through their bloodline. The most powerful among them can even possess God-King level strength purely through their lineage."
"Master, that Horned Serpent is truly timid," Morosa observed.
"It is a bit cowardly," Luo Feng smiled, noting how it immediately burrowed into the earth upon sensing him from a distance.
"I don't blame them," Luo Feng said. "These Eternal True God-level beasts possess their power solely through their bloodline talents. In contrast, cultivators of other races master secret techniques, wield powerful weapons, and even comprehend the essence of laws. At the same level, Eternal True God-level beasts generally cannot defeat an Eternal True God. Therefore, very few dare to engage an Eternal True God in direct combat."
"However, if one *does* dare to confront an Eternal True God directly," Luo Feng continued, "then it's no ordinary Eternal True God-level beast. Among them, exceptionally powerful individuals do occasionally emerge."
Beasts of the same level that possess superior strength usually have more unique bloodlines and are thus far more valuable. One such beast could be worth ten or even more ordinary ones.
Luo Feng was still quite keen on encountering such beasts.
"Still, hunting Eternal True God-level beasts remains incredibly difficult," Luo Feng said, shaking his head. No longer wanting to waste time, he added, "Let's continue on our way."
Eternal True God-level beasts typically inhabit environments suited to their bloodline talents, making them exceptionally skilled at escaping.
The trio — Luo Feng, Morosa, and Moyu Hu — resumed their journey towards Huyang City.
Deep within the mountains, two teams of Void True Gods were engaged in a fierce battle.
"We are Squad C1 of the Nine Banquets Tower from Huyang City; we're merely here to gather ingredients. Please show us some respect!" A rock creature struggled to defend himself. His squad, which once numbered over a hundred, now had all its True God members dead, leaving only three Void True Gods desperately resisting.
They had never imagined that a relatively safe task like gathering ingredients could become so perilous.
The ten shadowy figures surrounding them, however, showed no mercy, coordinating their efforts to annihilate the squad completely in a short time.
"They're attacking so mercilessly for no reason; even if we die, we'll take one of them with us!""Fight!"The other two Void True God members had already succumbed to frenzy. One of them unfurled a pair of golden wings, unleashing a terrifying surge of energy.
"Your speed is too slow," a deep voice resonated. The three Void True Gods of Nine Banquets Tower's Squad C1 were still in their frenzied state, but as the deep voice spoke, their bodies silently and naturally disintegrated, their souls dissolving as well. They died instantly, leaving behind only their artifacts.
"Commander, we were useless," the ten gray shadows said respectfully."Continue," the deep voice commanded. "Kill all living beings that appear in this area.""Commander," the leading shadow couldn't help but interject, "We are ordered to proceed to Huyang City and must arrive before the deadline. Today is the final day."
"Just do your job," the deep voice instructed."Yes," the leading shadow replied, daring not to speak further. The ten shadows silently resumed guarding the vast area, slaughtering any living being that passed through.
This expansive region was, in fact, concealing a terrifying power that shrouded its core. Within this core, a green plant was growing, topped with a small, crystalline blue-purple flower. The flower's fragrance spread, causing the surrounding heaven and earth energy to become chaotic.
Beside the plant, a black-robed figure sat, keeping watch.
"I never expected that after leaving the Food Nation to take up my post in Huyang City of the Yu Nation, I would encounter a maturing 'Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower' along the way," the figure mused. "When immature, this flower appears quite ordinary, showing no special qualities. But once it blooms, its soul-affecting fragrance becomes incredibly noticeable. It blooms for about ten days, and only when it naturally falls can it be used for medicinal purposes."
The black-robed figure's eyes gleamed with fervor. "I've heard that the Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower can only sprout in places watered by the blood of God-King battles. A single flower like this is worth at least a hundred thousand Cosmos Sands."
"All my weapons and treasures combined throughout my cultivation only amount to ten or twenty thousand Cosmos Sands," the black-robed figure thought, his eyes burning with desire. "If any Eternal True God discovers this, they'll surely try to seize it from me. And if its existence becomes public, even the armies from Huyang City will come for it."
"Only a few days remain until it naturally falls," the black-robed figure muttered, waiting patiently.
He could not permit any information about this place to leak. Although he had done his utmost to conceal it, he feared that passing beings might still notice something, so he killed anyone who ventured into the area.
The black-robed figure frowned slightly and took out a communication token.
"Is something wrong?" the black-robed figure inquired."Heiduo Mo, why haven't you reached Huyang City yet?" a voice, as profound as a mountain, boomed. "By the Marquis's command, today is the deadline; you must arrive at Huyang City."
"I was delayed by something; I hope President Zan Yun understands," the black-robed figure chuckled lightly. "There shouldn't be anything critically urgent in Huyang City that requires my immediate presence, should there?"
"Huyang City is, after all, the Yu Nation's city, and our Food Nation's branch here is severely short of Eternal True Gods," the deep voice softened. "I won't report your delay, but you must still arrive at Huyang City as soon as possible."
"Don't worry, I'll be there within ten days," the black-robed figure assured him. Soon after, the communication ended.
The black-robed figure smiled as he put away the communication token, knowing that so-called military orders held little binding power over an Eternal True God.
They were already considered core figures, and minor issues were generally not heavily scrutinized.
"At this moment, nothing is more important than this Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower," the black-robed figure murmured, gazing with mesmerized eyes at the fully bloomed, fragrant blue-purple flower.
Luo Feng, accompanied by Morosa and Moyu Hu, was currently traversing space, flying directly towards Huyang City.
"Hmm?" Luo Feng suddenly gazed in a certain direction, spotting a distant mountain range. Deep within those mountains, he perceived a terrifying power lurking, along with a faint blue-purple shimmer.
"A rare treasure!" Luo Feng's heart stirred. There were significant differences among Eternal True Gods. Divine bodies varied in size, the purity of divine power differed, as did the mastered Laws of Origin. Additionally, the secret arts practiced and the secret treasures possessed all influenced an Eternal True God's overall strength.
As a Perfect Divine Body, superior even to an 'Infinite Divine Body', Luo Feng's true form would be vast and boundless once revealed. His sensory range naturally far surpassed that of ordinary Eternal True Gods. Both his sensory reach and acuity were astonishingly high.
His perception and control over auras could even reach a 'perfect' level. Even ancient beings would need to employ methods involving karma, time, and space to glean a hint of Luo Feng's true nature.
"An Eternal True God must be hiding there, using his power to conceal the aura of a rare treasure," Luo Feng's eyes brightened. "Heaven and Earth Rare Treasures are born from the cosmos itself, and thus are ownerless. They belong to whoever is capable of claiming them!"
As he mused, Luo Feng conveniently brought Moyu Hu into the Star Tower first.
