Chapter 783: Second Infinite Ring

The Sect Master nodded. He took Jiang Fan's identification token and deducted eight thousand team merit points from it. Then, he retrieved two sets of Bright Brocade robes and a shattered jade plate. Liu Qingxian and Xia Chaoge joyfully took the clothes and went to a nearby changing room. A few moments later, they emerged, graceful and side-by-side.

The Bright Brocade robes were predominantly black, with golden threads embroidered on the collars, sleeve cuffs, and skirt hems. On the chest, intricate patterns of dragons, phoenixes, and waves were woven in gold, red, yellow, and green. The designs were exquisite and lavish, giving a sense of ineffable nobility and luxury. Wearing the same long robes, Liu Qingxian appeared cool, handsome, and valiant, while Xia Chaoge looked serenely beautiful, gentle, and dignified. Not only did Jiang Fan, as a man, admire them, but even Gu Xin'er gazed at them spellbound for a moment, her resentment deepening.

"Shouldn't I get a piece of the Moon Realm?" Gu Xin'er pouted, feeling wronged.

Jiang Fan averted his gaze from the two women and looked at the white jade disc in his arms. It was faintly white all over, emitting a soft glow. At first glance, it truly resembled a full moon. The disc had seven cracks, dividing it into seven roughly equal fragments. The steward explained, "The origin of this item is no longer traceable. It has always existed in this fragmented state, broken into seven pieces. Its magical property is that if you write on any single fragment with your mind, the same characters will instantly appear on the other six jade pieces, no matter where they are. This allows for simultaneous communication among multiple people, regardless of distance."

Jiang Fan tried it, and it worked exactly as described! "This is truly a good item! Much stronger than a voice-transmitting jade talisman," he exclaimed. He immediately began distributing them. "One for Qingxian. One for Chaoge. One for Senior Brother Liang." He then put away the remaining pieces.

Gu Xin'er finally couldn't hold back and burst out, "None for me again? Are you kidding me?" Jiang Fan replied, "Didn't I just say? You need to earn merit and make contributions."

Gu Xin'er pursed her lips, hating Jiang Fan fiercely in her heart. "You little rogue! You're really bullying a Nascent Soul cultivator, aren't you? Fine, just you wait! You just wait! It's just a Moon Realm fragment, isn't it? Once I get my hands on it, I'll slay you!!!"

She couldn't give up on the Moon Realm fragment. This item was a relic of Moon Venerable. Back then, it was an immensely famous supreme treasure, even more renowned than the hairpin her master resided in. Now that she had the chance to see it, how could she miss it?

She looked at Jiang Fan, a picture of grievance, and asked, "Are there any tasks I can do?" Jiang Fan replied, "Wait a moment. I'll choose my personal vault rewards first, then I'll take everyone to the Mission Hall to see if there are any available tasks." He looked at the steward, who nodded and said, "The others will wait at the entrance. Jiang Fan, follow me to the personal vault."

Jiang Fan felt a surge of anticipation. The team vault's treasures were gifted to the team and were already extraordinary. Surely, the items in the personal vault would be even more astonishing.

Shortly after, he passed through numerous formations and finally entered the true treasury of the Heavenly Mystery Pavilion. Although he knew the treasury contained many treasures, seeing them firsthand still astonished him. Shelves stretched as far as the eye could see, piled with mountains of treasures, and the radiance from various spiritual items intertwined into rainbows. Countless ancient texts, talismans, weapons, jade artifacts, and Heaven-and-Earth spiritual treasures filled the space! The true heritage of the Heavenly Mystery Pavilion far exceeded his imagination! This was even after a century of resource depletion and significant use from the treasury. He could only imagine how breathtaking the treasury must have been during the Heavenly Mystery Pavilion's peak.

"Before you came, did you have anything in mind to exchange for?" the steward asked. There were so many items that just looking through them all would take an entire day. Jiang Fan blurted out, "A Nascent Soul Strike Jade Talisman." The steward considered this thoughtfully. "If you only had three thousand merit points, that would indeed be a good choice. But now, I suggest you add another thousand merit points and exchange for something more suitable." He led Jiang Fan to the deepest part of the treasury, in front of a crystal cabinet protected by a separate formation. A talisman arrow, woven from talisman paper, came into view. Even through the crystal, Jiang Fan could feel the destructive power within the arrow, like divine might. "This is a talisman arrow," the steward explained. "Once it locks onto a target, it will automatically pursue the enemy until it hits."

Jiang Fan's heart stirred. Having witnessed the terror of Nascent Soul cultivators, he understood that jade talismans had very limited use against them. Their speed was astonishing; often, before a talisman could even activate its effect, they could instantly kill the person holding it. At the very least, they could easily escape the talisman's attack range. The talisman arrow before him, however, was something that could truly threaten a Nascent Soul cultivator. "Okay, I'll exchange for the talisman arrow," Jiang Fan said without hesitation. The steward nodded, deducted four thousand merit points, and handed the talisman arrow to him.

Jiang Fan felt as if he had acquired a priceless treasure. A long-lost sense of security washed over him. With this talisman, he now had a slight edge, enough to contend with a Nascent Soul cultivator, rather than passively awaiting death like a lamb to the slaughter.

"You still have four thousand merit points remaining," the steward said. "I recommend you exchange for a mid-grade Dust Heart Pill to help you break through your current cultivation realm." After a moment of thought, Jiang Fan replied, "I'd like to exchange for another Nascent Soul Strike Jade Talisman." He wasn't lacking in spiritual items for breaking through realms. However, life-saving items like the Nascent Soul Strike Jade Talisman were incredibly difficult to obtain outside. Since he had the opportunity now, the more he acquired, the better. The steward was taken aback. "How many powerful enemies does this fellow have? Is one talisman arrow not enough to save his life?" Despite his surprise, he didn't try to sway the disciple's choice and immediately brought him a jade box, which clearly sealed a Nascent Soul Jade Talisman. Jiang Fan happily accepted it and said, "I still have one thousand merit points left."

For a moment, he wasn't sure what to exchange for. Suddenly, Jiang Fan noticed a collection of artifacts emitting spiritual pressure not far away. Upon closer inspection, he was surprised. They were all spiritual artifacts, but unfortunately, they were only fragments. Their value wasn't low either, ranging from a thousand to tens of thousands of merit points. He was speechless. Who would be so foolish as to use a thousand hard-earned merit points to exchange for useless spiritual artifact fragments?

Just as he was losing interest, a faint green light caught his attention. He walked closer to see a dimly green ring. It was severely damaged, with only the band and remnants of a green gem remaining. Looking at the "one thousand merit points" price tag next to it, Jiang Fan said, "Steward, I want this ring." The steward walked over and glanced at it, then advised, "Merit points are hard-earned. Don't waste them. This ring is already severely damaged; aside from a trace of energy within, it has no other use." Jiang Fan insisted, "I want it." The steward opened his mouth to speak but, seeing Jiang Fan's firm resolve, said no more. He deducted the last thousand merit points from Jiang Fan's identification token, took out the ring, and handed it to him, sighing, "You'll regret this."

Jiang Fan took the ring, his palm trembling with excitement. He turned over the ring's base. Clearly engraved on it were three large characters:Immeasurable Ring!
