Chapter 338: Liangzi Has Gotten into Big Trouble

She could move freely among humans, entirely relying on this Mirage Demon Core to conceal her demonic features.

She never imagined that Jiang Fan would be so unscrupulous as to claim the Mirage Demon Core for himself.

"Give it back!" Liu Li clawed at him, trying to snatch it back, but Jiang Fan easily held her forehead with one palm. Her small hands fluttered uselessly, unable to reach his chest.

"I told you, I'm just holding onto it for you," Jiang Fan said. "Once your identity is clarified and I'm certain you're not malicious, I'll return it."

Xu Yining, standing nearby, rolled her eyes. "Just say you're taking it," she muttered. "Don't pretend you're 'keeping it safe'."

Anyone with eyes could see that this woman's identity was problematic. If she were handed over to the Nine Sects for investigation, even if she survived, she would likely never see the light of day again. How could she possibly return to claim this demon core? Jiang Fan had clearly anticipated this, so he had taken her valuables beforehand, preventing them from falling into the hands of the Nine Sects' investigators.

"You're shameless! Waaah!" Liu Li cried, little tears streaming down her face.

Had she really met her nemesis? First, Jiang Fan took her virginity, then he severely injured her, and now he had even stolen her treasure. This was certainly not the outcome she had envisioned when she came to human territory.

"Ugh..." Jiang Fan was somewhat speechless. "You started this, and now you're feeling wronged?" She had created a mist to trap the Nine Sect disciples. Even if he had killed her with a single sword stroke, no one would have blamed him. After all, these were the Nine Sects' most elite disciples. If anything happened to them, the very foundation of the Nine Sects would be shaken.

Looking at the path that had reappeared not far ahead, Jiang Fan said, "I won't make things difficult for you. Come with me to meet the Nine Sect elders. If you're innocent, they will treat you fairly."

With that, he rose to leave. But just then,

Several powerful auras suddenly emerged from deep within the Myriad Sword Sect. An incredibly sharp and potent sword energy pierced through the sky, striking a cloud. Simultaneously, Xu Qingyang's angry snort echoed from within the Myriad Sword Sect: "What demon race dares to linger above my Myriad Sword Sect?"

It revealed a giant black tiger hidden within. With two flying beasts beneath its feet, it coldly glared in Xu Qingyang's direction and spoke in human tongue: "Old Xu, I don't have time to play with you!" It then turned its head, fixing its gaze on the Sword Forest, and specifically on Liu Li.

Seeing her pale face, unstable aura, and blood at the corner of her lips, it became furious. "Which brat dared to harm my clan's young master?"

*Chirp!* The two flying beasts beneath it also let out angry cries. They dived into the Sword Forest, heading straight for Liu Li!

Seeing this, Liu Li was overjoyed. "Shitian!" It was a true escape from certain death! She quickly broke free from Jiang Fan and ran towards Shitian Tiger.

Their eyes filled with intense fear. Before their very eyes, the Shitian Tiger, with the two flying beasts beneath its feet, swept low to the ground, snatched Liu Li, and tossed her onto its back.

At close range, Shitian Tiger realized that Liu Li's internal injuries were far more severe than her external appearance suggested. Her internal organs were destroyed!

It roared in fury, its blood-red eyes fixed on the sect elites on the ground. "Who did this?" Its earth-shattering roar generated a terrifying wave of air, like a tornado, sweeping away large sections of the Sword Forest.

The group of elite disciples struggled to resist, barely managing to stay on their feet. Their eyes showed deep fear, and their bodies trembled. Before such a creature, they were like ants, utterly powerless to resist.

Completely free, Liu Li felt a surge of relief. Her eyes blazing, she pointed at Jiang Fan. "It was him! Grab him and take him back to the demon race! I'm going to make him pay, make him *really* pay, make him pay dearly!!!"

Liu Li was exceptionally agitated. When she first arrived in human territory, she had been so spirited and confident. Now, she was a pathetic, beaten dog. If she didn't get thorough revenge on Jiang Fan, she feared she would develop a persistent inner demon related to him.

"It was you!!!" Shitian Tiger roared, diving down again. Jiang Fan's heart hammered. How could someone at his Foundation Establishment stage possibly contend with such a being?

But to simply wait for death? He couldn't do that!

Gritting his teeth, he decisively drew his Purple Sword and unleashed a sword strike through the air! An invisible sword energy, sharp enough to cut through anything, flew towards Shitian Tiger.

Shitian Tiger's expression abruptly changed. It quickly raised a paw and swiped. *Clang!* After a shower of sparks scraped its paw, it snapped.

This startled Shitian Tiger, who gasped, "This boy has a divine weapon!" But it also noticed that Jiang Fan was struggling to wield the sword.

Seizing the opportunity before Jiang Fan could unleash a second strike, it opened its mouth and spat out a stream of black flames.

Jiang Fan's expression shifted. There was no room for luck when facing such a being. Its combat experience would undoubtedly be formidable.

Fortunately, his earlier sword strike had delayed Shitian Tiger, giving Xu Qingyang a chance to intervene.

*Whoosh!* A lightning-fast sword shadow pierced through heaven and earth. Shitian Tiger's expression drastically changed; it no longer cared about Jiang Fan.

Carrying Liu Li on its back, it leaped up, narrowly dodging the terrifying flying sword.

However, the two flying beasts beneath its feet were not so lucky. They were instantly cut down, their blood splattering everywhere. With its support gone, Shitian Tiger crashed to the ground.

Anxious, it said, "Young Master, we can't delay any longer. Xu Qingyang will be here soon, and the Grand Elders of the various sects are also present. If we get caught, we won't be able to leave!" The implication was clear: forget about this troublesome young man.

She parted the golden hair on her head, revealing a pair of pointed horns that no human could possess. "I am Liu Li, daughter of the Demon Emperor. Tell me, is the demon race not my family's?"

All the Nine Sect elites present gasped. The daughter of the Demon Emperor? The daughter of the supreme ruler who legend said commanded millions of demons? A demon princess, second only to the Demon Emperor, and above all other demons?

Jiang Fan's vision blurred, and he swayed. What? The person he had poisoned yesterday, brutally beaten today, and stolen treasure from... was actually the daughter of the Demon Emperor? This joke had gone a bit too far.
