Chapter 1320: Yellow Springs' Guilt

The Giant Emperor’s cursed power was specifically intended for the Venerable Sinful Heart! However, Green Pearl used it on Jiang Fan in order to escape.

“You wasteful woman!” Jiang Fan grumbled, “Such a powerful treasure, meant for the Venerable Sinful Heart, yet you used it on your own husband!”

“That’s outrageous!”

The Grand Wine Sacrifice said, “You should really be thinking about how to guard against her revenge.”

“Unless you remain in the Imperial Astronomy Bureau, you won’t be safe anywhere else.”

Green Pearl suffered such a monumental loss; how could she possibly let it go? With her power as a Two-Crowned Asura King, only the Grand Wine Sacrifice could easily subdue her within the entire Taicang Great State.

Jiang Fan retrieved the memory-erasing talisman and said, “It’s fine.”

“She wasted the Giant Emperor’s curse, which was capable of certainly killing the Venerable Sinful Heart. Now, the outcome is uncertain.”

“If she fails to complete this mission, she won’t have an easy time returning.”

“Therefore, her priority will be to kill the Venerable Sinful Heart and ensure the mission is completed. Only then will she turn her attention to settling scores with me.”

“In other words, as long as the Venerable Sinful Heart is alive, I can do whatever I please without worry.”

Listening to Jiang Fan’s analysis, the Grand Wine Sacrifice rubbed his temples, feeling a surge of sympathy for Green Pearl. Jiang Fan had completely grasped Green Pearl’s intentions. To be Jiang Fan’s enemy, one truly needed a strong heart. Otherwise, even if he didn't beat them to death, they’d surely be angered to death.

“Alright, then do as you wish.”

The Grand Wine Sacrifice turned to leave, giving a parting reminder without looking back: “Also, the Taicang Great State has been quite turbulent lately.”

“Be careful.”

Jiang Fan frowned and asked, “Is it that Demonic Dao female venerable and the half-giants causing trouble?”

Without turning his head, the Grand Wine Sacrifice replied, “Both.”

“However, the most troubling thing is that I’ve sensed the presence of an ancient giant in the Taicang Great State.”

Jiang Fan was puzzled. Where could an ancient giant have come from? The ancient giants barely surviving on the Tianshan battlefield should have all been wiped out by the Grand Wine Sacrifice in one decisive move. Could it be similar to the ancient giants beneath the Nine Dynasties Ancient Capital, or the Cold Mountain Giant King from the deep trench in the East Sea?

He lightly nodded his chin. “Thank you for the reminder, Grand Wine Sacrifice.”

As the Grand Wine Sacrifice departed, Jiang Fan gently stroked the little Qilin’s head and then asked, “How did you encounter Green Pearl?”

The little Qilin gestured with its stubby legs, whimpering and squeaking as it recounted the events with an aggrieved air.

Jiang Fan’s eyes turned cold. “The half-giants found you and hunted you?”

“Those persistent nuisances!”

“Given the right opportunity, I’ll get revenge for you!”

Only then did the little Qilin burrow into the spatial mirror in Jiang Fan’s arms.

Jiang Fan didn’t linger. He used the teleportation array to return to the underground palace.

Shortly after, he swiftly returned to the Heavenly Secret Pavilion.

His time away hadn't been long, yet he had encountered so many dangers that upon seeing the Heavenly Secret Pavilion’s gatehouse again, he felt a sense of unfamiliarity, as if he had been away from home for ages.

“I wonder if everyone has assimilated the resources from the Tianshan battlefield and if their cultivation has improved.”

With a hint of anticipation, he stepped into the Heavenly Secret Pavilion.

“I’m out of here!”

A sudden roar startled Jiang Fan, making his body tremble. He widened his eyes and looked.

“Wh... What’s going on?”

He looked up. The West Sea Crown Prince, carrying a bundle, was storming out towards the mountain gate. Xuanxuan stood on the steps, hands on her hips, and said fiercely:

“If you dare step out, I swear I won’t let you back in today!”

“Get back here!”

The West Sea Crown Prince snorted with a dark expression and quickened his pace. Upon reaching the mountain gate, he finally spotted Jiang Fan. Immediately, tears welled up and streamed down his face as he cried:

“Godfather! I’m so miserable!”

Xuanxuan’s expression immediately changed. She quickly ran over and meekly said in a soft voice, “Father-in-law is back.”

Jiang Fan looked at Xuanxuan with a bewildered expression. Was this truly the same lively and adorable Xuanxuan he had seen that day? How could she have changed so much after getting married? That "I'm out of here!" just now had completely stunned him.

He cleared his throat. “Are you two quarreling?”

The West Sea Crown Prince, his eyes brimming with tears, exclaimed, “Godfather, I can’t live like this anymore!”

“All I wanted was to invite my women from the West Sea to my wedding banquet. What’s wrong with that?”

“Not only did this tyrant beat me up, but she also demanded I break off all ties with them.”

“I was left with no choice but to run away from home.”

A vein throbbed on Jiang Fan’s forehead. Getting married and inviting exes to a separate table at the wedding banquet? It was no wonder Xuanxuan was angry. However, Xuanxuan’s public reprimand was truly uncalled for. Men, after all, care about their reputation, so such behavior was always inappropriate.

He patted the West Sea Crown Prince’s shoulder. “You’re married now. It’s time to sever ties with your former women.” He was about to tell Xuanxuan to give the West Sea Crown Prince some face in public moving forward.

But the West Sea Crown Prince grew even more aggrieved. “Godfather, it’s easy for you to say when you’re not in my shoes!”

“You tell me to break up with those widows, but why don’t *you* break up with everyone except Fairy Yunshang?”

“Go on, count them yourself! How many women do you have?”

“You have flirtatious women in the sky, beauties on the ground, two stunning widows in the sea, and a main wife underground.”

“You’ve got women everywhere. Why don’t *you* break up with them?”

A vein pulsed on Jiang Fan’s forehead. “You seem to know quite a lot, don’t you?”

He walked up to Xuanxuan, took out a brand-new spiked mace, and handed it to her. “From now on, if you can use your hands, don’t just use your words.”

“Your father-in-law supports you!”

Xuanxuan’s eyes lit up. She hugged the spiked mace tightly. “Thank you, Father-in-law!”

“I’m going to beat his exes to death right now!”

Jiang Fan cast a sidelong glance at the wailing West Sea Crown Prince before stepping into the Heavenly Secret Pavilion with a satisfied expression.

The pavilion was still quiet and deserted, as everyone remained diligently in secluded cultivation. He suddenly felt a little unaccustomed to it. Previously, whenever he returned, everyone would flock to greet him. Now, there was hardly a soul in sight. But this was also good; it meant everyone was serious about their cultivation. In just over a month, the ancient giants would arrive. Every bit of cultivation improvement meant a greater chance of survival.

Jiang Fan didn’t disturb them. He strode towards the secret chamber, intending to seclude himself for a few days to properly adapt to his consecutive breakthroughs in cultivation.

Just as he neared the secret chamber, a verdant figure shimmered into view.

“Brother Fan.” It was Biluo. Her face lit up with joy. “You went to the Great Barren State, the gathering place for demonic cultivators. I hope you didn’t run into any trouble?”

Jiang Fan smiled. “It was fine. Everyone was quite welcoming.” He wondered if the atmosphere in the Great Barren State had returned to normal after his departure.

Biluo breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s good then.” Immediately, she pursed her lips, appearing hesitant to speak.

Jiang Fan asked, “Sister Bi, have you encountered some trouble? Please speak freely; the Heavenly Secret Pavilion is your home, so there’s no need to be formal.”

Biluo found it difficult to voice, and there was also a deep sense of guilt in her expression: “Brother Fan, please don’t be angry with Huangquan after I tell you this.”

Huangquan? Jiang Fan felt incredibly guilty. He had forgotten Huangquan back on the Tianshan battlefield and had no idea how to explain it to Biluo and the little tiger. If anything had happened to Huangquan, his guilt would be immense. So, how could he possibly be angry?

“Sister Bi, speak. I’m listening,” Jiang Fan said, his expression strained.

Biluo hesitated for a long time before finally saying, “Huangquan was affected by my ‘Descent into Madness’ and forcibly defiled a female Nascent Soul cultivator from the Taicang Great State.”

Jiang Fan’s eyelids twitched violently. Could it be Fairy Yunshang or her companions? His eyes immediately blazed with fury. If it was, Huangquan dying ten thousand times wouldn’t be enough to atone for his sins!

Sensing Jiang Fan’s fury, Biluo quickly clarified, “It was a woman from an external sect, not Fairy Yunshang or her companions.”

Only then did the tension in Jiang Fan’s heart ease slightly. But he was still very angry. No matter how you looked at it, Huangquan had harmed an innocent woman! That fellow was useless at everything except causing trouble! He was a champion troublemaker!

Seeing Biluo’s pleading gaze, Jiang Fan suppressed his anger and said, “Which sect does this woman belong to?”
