Chapter 83: Who Can Stop Them

Chapter Eighty-Three: Unstoppable

The man in white was from the ancient aristocratic Jiang family. His name was Jiang Yifei, and true to his name, he was as handsome as jade, his white clothes purer than snow, giving him an ethereal and otherworldly air.

He did not reveal much about Great-Grandfather Jiang Zhe's past, yet much useful information could still be gathered. Uncle Jiang's father, Jiang Zhe, had left the Jiang family years ago and never returned, an untold story that seemed to involve the family patriarch's lineage.

"Great-Grandfather Jiang Zhe was incredibly powerful; how could he have passed away fifty years ago?" This was a question that perplexed Jiang Yifei.

"He coughed up a lot of blood when he died," Uncle Jiang recounted, without excessive sadness. Some things, he knew, faded gradually with time.

"I see," Jiang Yifei said no more, simply nodding. He seemed to grasp the hidden circumstances.

The beautiful young woman beside him was Jiang Caixuan. Her figure was graceful, her neck slender, and her face beautiful. As a young lady of the Jiang family, the aura she exuded made her seem unapproachable.

However, she was very fond of little Tingting, showing no haughtiness whatsoever. She held little Tingting’s hand, asking various questions in a very gentle tone.

The arrogant young man was named Jiang Yichen. Although he knew Uncle Jiang and little Tingting’s identities, he was not particularly enthusiastic, still maintaining a cool demeanor.

Jiang Caixuan stepped forward, her voice clear and pleasant. "Elder," she said, "please return to the Jiang family with us. My grandfather said the Jiang family has wronged your lineage, and we must find you and invite you back, no matter what."

"No, thank you," Uncle Jiang replied. "What you're saying, I don't understand. Your lives are too far removed from mine; we are people of two different worlds. I've become accustomed to everything here..." Uncle Jiang was an ordinary old man who had lived a long life and experienced many things. He felt he could not integrate into such a family and politely declined.

"Even if you don't think for yourself, you should consider Tingting," Jiang Caixuan urged, bringing up little Tingting's future. "She is a little princess in the clouds; she shouldn't be bullied. What she needs is a different kind of life. Please come back with us. The elders in the family all earnestly wish for Great-Grandfather Jiang Zhe's lineage to return to the Jiang family."

"Take Tingting with you, then. I've grown accustomed to life here and don't wish to go anywhere else..."

Little Tingting immediately hugged the elder's arm, saying, "I'll stay with Grandpa. Wherever Grandpa is, Tingting will be too."

At this, Jiang Yifei revealed a gentle smile. He seemed very fond of little Tingting and patted her head, saying, "The sky here is too small..."

Jiang Yifei was a shrewd man. He knew that this method of persuasion would not be very effective on Uncle Jiang; only by demonstrating the Jiang family's transcendence might the elder change his mind. He stood up and said, "First, we go to the Li family." His words were calm, yet they seemed to possess a strange magic. All the exotic beasts outside roared, and a bloody, murderous aura permeated the air, as all the knights erupted with a powerful battle intent.

Jiang Yifei's expression was calm and composed. The golden divine beast followed closely behind him. He slowed his pace, walking abreast with Uncle Jiang, and seeing this, everyone else fell back.

No one rode their exotic beasts; instead, they proceeded on foot towards the Li family. Little Tingting nervously held the elder’s and Ye Fan’s hands. She was protected by the crowd as if she were the moon surrounded by stars, which made her somewhat uneasy. At this moment, Jiang Yifei and Jiang Caixuan walked abreast with them, but only to their left and right, not in the center.

The people on the street were all very surprised. Seeing Uncle Jiang and little Tingting guarded in such a manner, they all showed incredible expressions. Many trembled with fear of the savage beasts, retreating to the sides of the street.

"What's going on? Does Old Man Jiang know these people?"

"Look at those exotic beasts; their feet aren't even touching the ground! They can probably fly and burrow. How did Old Man Jiang get involved with these people?"

"Poor Old Man Jiang's luck has finally changed. Good people always get their just rewards."

"The Li family is in big trouble now. They seem to be heading towards the Li family."

"Good! We've been hoping for this for so many years. Finally, someone is going to deal with the Li family."

On both sides of the street, more and more people gathered. Although everyone was very scared and dared not approach, they still showed excited and thrilled expressions, following from a distance, moving towards the Li family’s location.

When Uncle Jiang arrived in front of the Li family’s main gate, he hesitated. Seeing this, Jiang Yifei directly helped him up the steps. "Never mind a small Li family," he said, "even at the imperial palace of the Eastern Wasteland's strongest kingdom, no one would dare to block us."

Bang!

In front, a pair of vermilion red gates suddenly burst open and flew away, as if a massive hammer had slammed heavily into them.

Inside, there was immediate chaos, with shouts and curses emanating from the gatehouse.

"Who did that?"

"Daring to cause trouble at the Li family? You're asking for death!"

Soon, more than a dozen fierce-looking people rushed out. But when they saw the more than a dozen savage beasts, they were immediately stunned. All their curses were swallowed back; they were speechless. The fierce looks on their faces completely receded, replaced by panic and unease, as they quickly ran back inside.

"Look at you cowards! What are you afraid of? We have cultivators in the Li family!" A steward, after receiving the report, walked out, muttering curses. "Damn it," he said, "who has the guts to come cause trouble at the Li family? Don't they know several immortal masters are temporarily staying here?"

"Bad man!" As soon as the steward walked out, little Tingting immediately took a few steps back, clearly somewhat afraid of this person.

"You..." The steward also got scared after stepping out. Golden divine beasts, five-colored exotic beasts, divine deer with vertical eyes—he had never heard of or seen such creatures. He was instantly awe-struck.

"Is this a bad person?"

"Yes, he led people to seize our restaurant and beat Grandpa until he vomited blood." Such an incident, narrated in little Tingting’s innocent words, made it all the more infuriating.

Jiang Yifei waved his hand, and immediately, a knight stepped forward, approaching the steward menacingly.

"You... what are you doing?" he blustered nervously, shouting loudly as he continuously retreated. "This is the Li family! Several immortal masters are inside; you can't cause trouble here!"

"Don't act here, lest you scare the child," Jiang Yifei said, being thoughtful and fearing a bloody scene would frighten little Tingting.

"Yes, sir!"

The knight, clad entirely in armor, grabbed the steward by the collar and flung him directly outwards. A green light flashed, and another knight, riding a savage beast, soared into the air, carrying the steward with them, and instantly flew out of the small town.

"Oh my god, they can fly!"

"They really can fly!"

"That savage beast is actually running in the sky; it's incredible!"

In the distance, all the onlookers showed expressions of astonishment, their mouths wide open, their faces filled with shock.

Little Tingting's mouth also formed an "O" shape as she stood on tiptoes, gazing into the distant sky.

Jiang Caixuan smiled, squatted down, and asked, "Would you like to have such a precious beast, so you can fly around in the sky every day?"

Little Tingting subconsciously almost nodded, but she quickly remembered something, hugged the elder's arm tightly, and shook her head, saying, "I want to be with Grandpa."

Jiang Caixuan hadn't expected little Tingting to grasp her intention so quickly, so she didn't continue to tempt or persuade her.

Before long, a green silhouette appeared in the sky. The departing knight, riding the exotic beast, swooped back down and landed. In his hand, a strand of hair was intertwined, with faint traces of blood on it.

Beside them, Ye Fan was very surprised. The Jiang family's knights all seemed incredibly powerful, their strength difficult to gauge. He sensed a surging battle force emanating from them.

Everyone continued to walk inside, with the onlookers following behind, hoping to witness the Li family's villains being dealt with firsthand.

"Who dares to trespass into my Li family and cause trouble?" Just then, several middle-aged men dressed in fine silk and satin, along with a few elders, walked out, their faces filled with anger.

"Old Man Jiang, is that you?!" It was clear they hadn't yet grasped the situation. Upon seeing Uncle Jiang in the courtyard, they immediately shouted, "Who let you in? Get out!"

"Second Master, please lower your voice. Look at what's behind them?" a servant quietly reminded him.

Only then did that person notice the exotic beasts outside the gate. His expression instantly turned panicked, and he retreated in fear, saying, "Quickly, go invite those immortal masters out!"

A cold look appeared on Jiang Caixuan's pretty face as she said, "A mere small family, with only a few who barely understand cultivation, and they dare to bully the weak and oppress the villagers? Truly courting death."

With a gentle wave of her hand, everyone flew out like fallen leaves, crashing into the wall and falling to the ground, unable to get up again. These were all important figures of the Li family, screaming in agony.

A flash of light, and two figures rushed out into the front courtyard—precisely the two cultivators of the Li family. Upon seeing the situation before them, their faces all changed color.

"Friends, who are you? Have we offended you in any way? Why have you intruded into our Li family and injured people?" Both men were around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, filled with shock and anger, yet they dared not act on it.

"You are not worthy to know," Jiang Caixuan sneered.

Jiang Yifei asked calmly, "Were Tingting's parents killed by you?"

"You... what are you saying? Don't make false accusations!" The two men's faces changed dramatically. Seeing Uncle Jiang surrounded in the center, they felt a chill in their hearts.

"Who are you accusing of making false accusations?" A knight stepped out, his gaze as sharp as a knife. As swift as light, he appeared before them. With two crisp "slap" sounds, he directly sent the two flying. Two bloody palm prints appeared on the faces of the Li family members, instantly swelling up.

They were instantly filled with shock and anger, retreating while clutching their faces. "Friends, don't go too far," they said. "We are disciples of the Yanxia Cavern Heaven, and several immortal masters are currently staying at our residence!"

"Immortal masters? What arrogance! We are just about to visit the Yanxia Cavern Heaven. Let the immortal masters you speak of lead the way."
