Chapter 663: The True Sun Scripture

An Immortal Tear Green Gold Book, its divine splendor washed away, was left with only faded green patterns. There was no trace of divine power; only an ancient simplicity remained.

It should have been an artifact exclusive to a Great Emperor, its green-gold divine light piercing the sky. However, after eons of time and the erosion of the elements, it now appeared utterly ordinary, like a worn piece of copper.

As Ye Fan held it, a warmth permeated his fingers, as if holding a burning furnace. Unable to decipher the divine script, he could only speculate, observing the expressions of the two ancient beings.

In the two ancient caves, the fingers of the two purple-scaled beings trembled. They were kept apart to prevent collusion, yet their emotions were identical.

"It's from the Ziwei Ancient Starfield, as expected... the human race truly originated from there!" an ancient being exclaimed, his voice trembling. He clutched the copied beast hide scroll, his expression deeply agitated, his fingers shaking uncontrollably.

"What did you say?" Ye Fan instantly appeared in that ancient cave, seizing the creature's broad shoulder and asking loudly.

"The very first line of the scripture clearly states its origin," the ancient being replied, his face filled with shock as he clutched the beast hide scroll tightly. "It's an ancient Human Emperor's scripture, from the Ziwei Starfield."

In this world, the human race emerged much later than the myriad other races. Legend has it that in primeval times, a group of humans arrived from outside this domain, and only then did a new race appear.

This was astonishing news: humans originated from the Ziwei Ancient Starfield, having traversed the dark and cold cosmos to reach this place, rather than evolving here.

In the other ancient cave, the second ancient being was equally astonished, finding it inconceivable that what they considered a weak race could traverse star regions on such a vast scale.

"At the end of the primeval era," one of them mused, "some of the most powerful races among all beings, including several Ancestor Kings, left this ancient star with their descendants and vanished without a trace."

The two ancient beings' hearts trembled as they recalled the migration of certain primeval royal families before the Great Cataclysm. How many other living ancient stars could there be in the vast cosmos?

"The Solar True Essence!"

"This is the legendary Solar True Essence!"

Soon after, both ancient beings exclaimed, one after another, in immense excitement.

In primeval times, the human race possessed two great ancient scriptures, the Lunar and the Solar, renowned among all races for their profound and unfathomable nature.

While the human race was generally considered weak among the myriad beings, it did not lack exceptionally powerful individuals, to the extent that even Ancient Kings were wary of them. This influence stemmed entirely from those two ancient scriptures.

Some Ancient Ancestor Kings had long yearned to study these scriptures but never could, a source of immense regret. Now that the Solar True Essence had fallen into their hands, how could they possibly remain calm?

"If we presented this to our Ancestor King, he would be overjoyed and bestow boundless rewards." Alas, they could only dream of such a scenario.

"Solar True Essence..." Ye Fan had already had a premonition. Carved with divine script onto Immortal Tear Green Gold, found in the Golden Crow's nest, and scalding hot to the touch—he had long suspected its nature.

"Back then, a formidable demon appeared among the human race," one of the ancient beings recounted. "He diligently practiced both the Lunar and Solar arts, aiming to fuse them, and caused boundless carnage across the land. Some Ancient Ancestor Kings even perished because of him. He was only suppressed with great difficulty by several Ancient Kings from the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest."

Upon hearing this, Ye Fan immediately thought of the Ancient Saint trapped in the cauldron—it had to be that shriveled old man, clad in beast hides and wielding a bone club.

"He could even kill Ancient Ancestor Kings..." Ye Fan's heart gave a violent leap. If that being were to revive and be released, it would likely cause an immense catastrophe.

"This is an incomplete scripture," an ancient being stated. "It's not whole."

Ye Fan sighed, for he already knew. This was merely a piece of green copper; although densely covered with divine script, how could it possibly contain an entire ancient scripture? It was destined to be only a fragment.

"Translate it for me, truthfully and completely. If there's even a single discrepancy between your two translations, you both die!" he warned them again.

He feared the two ancient beings might try to deceive him. After all, this scripture was far too important—a peerless divine artifact of the human race, and one that originated from the Ziwei Ancient Starfield.

It took a full three hours for the two ancient beings to complete their translations one after another. It was evident they had been studying the scripture, as it would not have taken them so long otherwise.

"Do you intend to kill us?" an ancient being asked. He knew that once the scripture was revealed, their deaths were certain.

"I will grant you a swift end," Ye Fan said straightforwardly, "to put an end to this inhumane torment."

"But we want to live!" an ancient being pleaded, his eyes flickering.

Ye Fan frowned, fearing they might destroy themselves and the translations. "There is a way to survive," he said. "I'll erase your memories shortly, and in consideration of your service in translating the ancient scripture, I will spare your lives."

"Good, it's a deal," they responded. The two ancient beings then submitted their translations one after another.

Ye Fan said nothing, silently reading the texts. His heart stirred, but he soon felt immense disappointment. "The Solar True Path Dragon Transformation Scroll..." he sighed.

He already possessed the Emperor's Scripture Dragon Transformation Scroll, which was the strongest version available. What he urgently needed now was an ancient scripture for the Immortal Platform secret realm; other types were not as pressing.

"Actually, there's also an Immortal Platform Scroll," an ancient being cautiously interjected. "The Immortal Tear Green Gold Book has scriptures on both sides, recording cultivation methods for two great secret realms in total."

Upon hearing this, a surge of clarity rushed through Ye Fan, invigorating him. Now that he had entered the Immortal Platform secret realm, he desperately needed the corresponding cultivation methods.

What was the Solar True Essence? It was the human race's most ancient scripture, referenced by Great Human Emperors like Wu Shi and Heng Yu when they created their own scriptures, thus holding an irreplaceable status.

In those primeval times, the relative power of the Lunar and Solar scriptures was a constant subject of heated debate, making many Ancient Ancestor Kings covet them yet unable to obtain them.

Ye Fan quickly scanned the two translations, carefully comparing them. He found no contradictions; the few differences were merely in word choice, with the meaning remaining identical.

"Solar True Essence!" Ye Fan uttered these words with emphasis, his heart filled with satisfaction.

Just moments ago, he had realized that cultivating the Immortal Platform Scroll of this scripture was the best choice. The Solar Heart Scripture could render one's divine consciousness incomparably strong, like a blazing sun that could not be overshadowed.

"Cultivating this scripture allows one to transform their divine consciousness into a solar essence, cleansing away all mortal impurities, refining true Yang, and seizing creation against the heavens."

Ye Fan sealed the two ancient beings, then immediately sat cross-legged on the rock and began to silently comprehend the scripture. From his glabella, a divine light instantly shot forth, drawing in the essence of the sun.

In cultivating divine consciousness, many practitioners eventually draw upon the sun's essence to refine their sea of consciousness, solely to purge mortal impurities and achieve a pure, unadulterated divine thought.

With the Solar True Essence, Ye Fan instantly bypassed much arduous effort. Cultivating according to this scripture would undoubtedly be far more powerful and suitable than any other.

When heaven-defying prodigies undergo tribulation, they inhale lightning and baptize their divine consciousness. This is also done to cleanse away mortal impurities with the ultimate Yang energy, transforming it into flawless divine thought power, shining brilliantly like the sun.

*Sizzle*

Ye Fan's golden sea of consciousness shone like a blazing sun. Endless divine splendor flowed from it, connecting with the sun's essence, and the heat was terrifyingly intense.

His divine consciousness was already incomparably strong, and now cultivating this scripture was a natural progression. It unified his various scattered powers, instantly making him much more formidable.

He thought, "Indeed, the Immortal Platform secret realm is the most mysterious. The first layer alone cultivates divine thought power, and then it will fully unlock the body's immortal hidden potential!"

Ye Fan cultivated and comprehended simultaneously, holding a bodhi seed. Unhurriedly, he circulated the ancient scripture, and his glabella grew increasingly radiant. He cultivated the first layer of the Immortal Platform with remarkable efficiency, for his divine consciousness was already powerful enough!

One day, two days...

Time passed swiftly; a month flew by in an instant.

*Hum*

A trembling hum emanated, and Ye Fan's body resonated like the soft hum of an immortal sword. Then, a small golden sun leaped forth from his Immortal Platform, illuminating the entire ancient mountain range.

The Solar True Essence purified this golden divine consciousness, sharpening it like a blade and making its fluctuations even more potent.

The small golden sun rapidly transformed, first becoming a small golden cauldron, then a small pagoda, then a small golden bell, and finally taking the form of a person identical to Ye Fan himself.

Finally, the small golden figure soared into the sky, absorbing and exhaling the sun's essence towards the celestial sun. The two became almost intertwined, enveloped in brilliant light.

*Boom*

As Ye Fan circulated the ancient scripture's cultivation method, the small golden figure in the sky grew increasingly powerful. Each breath it took devoured vast amounts of the sun's essence, like a bottomless pit, causing the surrounding world to dim.

This was a terrifying sight. His absorption of the sun's essence ultimately plunged the land into darkness as he continuously refined his sea of consciousness and broke through its limitations.

*Boom!*

A solar lightning bolt suddenly appeared, shooting from the distant divine sun. While still high in the sky, it turned vast mountain ranges below into ashes.

"Heavenly tribulation?!"

Ye Fan was startled. It was far too sudden, with no warning whatsoever. The Solar True Tribulation descended all at once, incredibly fast, striking him directly.

Simultaneously, the small golden figure in the sky was also engulfed as endless golden divine lightning shot from the sun's core, blazing with intense power.

At the same time, three humanoid lightning figures condensed out of nothingness, approaching step by step and emitting powerful fluctuations.

Ye Fan shot into the sky, quickly merging with the small golden figure. Together, they confronted this sudden tribulation; everything had caught them unprepared.

For a time, lightning flashed and thunder roared. Solar true power surged from all directions, burying Ye Fan beneath it, refining both his physical form and his spirit.

"This heavenly tribulation is somewhat different," he realized. "Although very powerful, it doesn't seem to be trying to destroy me..."

Puzzled, doubt arose in his heart. All the solar true power seemed to be forging his indestructible physical body and golden divine consciousness, rather than destroying them.

Suddenly, he understood. This time, it was still three humanoid lightning bolts, but they were much gentler. They carried the solar true power to refine his form and spirit, the benefits far outweighing any harm.

"Each layer of the Immortal Platform is comparable to an entire major secret realm from the past," he mused. "Each humanoid lightning bolt corresponds to a minor realm. Last time, I experienced three... I passed three minor realms!"

He instantly understood that last time, he hadn't possessed the corresponding ancient scripture and hadn't circulated his powerful divine consciousness, which was why its true potential was only now manifesting.

His divine thought was already powerful enough; as long as he circulated the corresponding ancient scripture, he could immediately break through to the respective realm.

Ye Fan realized that he had already passed the initial stage of the first layer of heaven. With the aid of the Solar True Scripture, this heavenly tribulation was simply to perfect his cultivation.

Indeed, this time the humanoid lightning merely served to refine his form and spirit, not exceeding the intensity of the previous tribulation. It allowed him to thoroughly break through the three minor realms of the initial stage of the first layer of the Immortal Platform.

When the various tribulation lightning vanished, Ye Fan sat cross-legged high in the sky, majestic and solemn. Rune after rune appeared, covering his precious body and imprinting into it.

Furthermore, the small golden figure in his glabella was also imprinted with various runes, as if clad in a layer of golden divine armor, making it sacred and inviolable.

"The Solar Ancient Emperor Heart Scripture was cultivated so quickly?" The two ancient beings, who Ye Fan had left behind during the lightning tribulation, were filled with shock.

At this moment, Ye Fan was pure and flawless, every inch of his being like divine glass. He sat cross-legged like a divine being of this era, radiating brilliant light. The moment he opened his eyes, they burned like two torches.
