Chapter 528: Chaos Dragon's Nest

The Myriad Dragon Nest is the final resting place of the Ruthless Empress.

The Black Dog was startled by his own words, his black fur standing on end like a large hedgehog, a truly chilling sight.

"Don't talk nonsense," Ye Fan said, his heart sinking. He always felt it was best not to have too much karmic connection with the Ruthless Empress.

He had taken the Ruthless Empress's Origin Root of Myriad Things Mother Qi and almost captured her immortal elixir. Now, stepping into her burial ground, he felt a profound sense of unease.

"Did the Heaven Swallowing Great Emperor truly live for four lives?" The Black Dog felt a shiver. The presence of four ancient coffins here made him think of many things.

"Darmu Limuna..." The youth of the Archaic Royal Race spoke earnestly, his large eyes clear.

The Monkey explained that there were four ancient coffins here, each more terrifying than the last. However, some were empty, containing only peerless murderous intent within.

"Yes, it's undoubtedly the most ruthless person of all time," the Black Dog said in a deep voice. "The four ancient coffins signify four lives lived to their end."

In her first life as the Heaven Swallowing Great Emperor, she sacrificed her aged imperial body in her later years to forge the Heaven Swallowing Demonic Jar, leaving no physical remains.

Her second life was like a pupa transforming into a butterfly; she broke free from her old form, shedding into a divine embryo and severing past karmic ties.

In her third life, she prolonged her existence with an immortal medicine, gaining another lifetime. The divine embryo regained its youth, but no new divine embryo was born from it.

As for how she obtained a fourth life, no one knew, but it was presumably in this life that she reached her end, unable to persist further.

"If what Nangong Zheng said is true, then the Ruthless Empress likely succeeded in the Bronze Immortal Palace, which would explain her fourth life," Ye Fan murmured, frowning.

The Fighting Saint Ape communicated with the youth and obtained some useful information.

The four ancient coffins indeed belonged to a single individual, a fact the Archaic Royal Race had long confirmed. Elder kings had warned against approaching them. The youth, however, didn't know why, believing them to be the remains of an ancient emperor.

"Out of respect, Great Emperor Wu Shi didn't choose this place, but instead sought out Purple Mountain," the Black Dog sighed deeply. "To think that the most ruthless person of all time, whose might shook past and present, is buried here!"

Ye Fan, still suspicious, repeatedly questioned the Archaic youth and received definite confirmation: the Ruthless Empress had long been completely dead, her divine consciousness having dissipated over 200,000 years ago.

The adult Archaic Kings, who slumbered here, possessed strength comparable to ancient Saints or even a Great Accomplishment Holy Body; they could not possibly be mistaken in their judgment.

The Black Dog scooped up a handful of dirt, flung it out forcefully, and sighed deeply: "All Great Emperors of old are lonely, returning to the earth in their invincibility... Rest in peace."

Although he had never met the Ruthless Empress, he feared her the most. He had once dug up her dojo and searched for the ancient Heaven Swallowing Demonic Jar, but now he could only reflect on her passing.

They traveled several more miles and encountered a large chunk of divine source, within which a middle-aged man was sealed. He had a majestic, tall build and purple hair, looking like an ancient emperor in peaceful slumber.

In a fleeting vision, they saw him standing tall and proud. With a great roar, the ancient earth crumbled, the sky descended, and all races submitted.

"This is my father king. Should we awaken him?" the youth asked.

Upon hearing this, even the Monkey's face turned green. He quickly shook his head and said, "Do not disturb the senior."

Soon after, they finally saw the third ancient coffin. After traveling several more miles, they arrived at the deepest part of the Myriad Dragon Nest.

"It truly can be compared with the terrain of Purple Mountain," Ye Fan exclaimed after careful observation. Inside the Myriad Dragon Nest were nine ancient caves shaped like true dragons, stretching for an unknown number of miles.

Their tails pointed outwards, while the nine dragon heads converged towards the central area, a design remarkably similar to the nine dragons guarding Purple Mountain.

Furthermore, the nine magnificent true dragon-shaped terrains underground were densely covered with ancient caves, all dragon-shaped, truly earning the name "myriad dragons lying hidden."

"The aura of the fourth ancient coffin is coming through!"

The Myriad Dragon Nest was uneven and riddled with ancient caves, with dragon qi flowing like rivers and seas. They finally reached the central immortal land.

"A true dragon's ancient nest!" the Black Dog exclaimed.

Ahead, ancient trees stretched endlessly, having withered and died countless millennia ago. Each branch was so enormous that dozens of people couldn't encircle it.

"Dragon Wood! Legend has it this is the divine material true dragons use to build their nests!" The Black Dog's eyes widened in awe.

Many ancient trees were piled together to form a gigantic nest. It looked crude, yet it was incredibly mysterious.

It was immeasurably grand, piled from endless ancient trees, as tall as a mountain. Tens of thousands of great dragons, all formed from transformed dragon qi, appeared and disappeared around it.

"There's really a dragon nest..." Even the Fighting Saint Ape was dumbfounded, lost in thought.

Ye Fan was also stunned. The Origin Heaven Book contained records suggesting that the Myriad Dragon Nest might be a true dragon's lair, a deduction made by the Origin Heaven Master who had never actually entered it.

Now, he was fortunate enough to witness it all. Inside, there truly was an ancient nest, built entirely from Dragon Wood, which had not decayed even to this day.

Tens of thousands of dragon bodies, vast as rivers, constantly appeared and disappeared, coiling around the dragon nest, creating an incredibly mysterious and magnificent sight.

The Dragon Wood was jet-black, and so was the entire nest, ancient and aged, with a terrifying aura permeating the air.

"It seems... true dragons really did live here!" the Black Dog exclaimed.

The Monkey, too, was stirred. He never imagined he would see an abandoned dragon nest; it was like something out of a wild fantasy.

"Dragons on the same level as immortals existed?" Ye Fan also stared in a daze.

"There must be immortal treasures in this dragon nest! Anything left behind by it would be a priceless gem, and even this dragon nest itself is an unparalleled divine artifact," the Black Dog declared, his greedy nature resurfacing.

He unleashed a powerful divine ability, intending to take the entire ancient nest. His divine power surged, attempting to lift the colossal structure built from Dragon Wood.

However, the divine power he unleashed was like a mud ox entering the sea; it was utterly insignificant, like a drop of water falling into the desert, vanishing in an instant.

"Quick, help! If we can take this ancient nest, we'll gain immense fortune!" the Black Dog cried out.

"Mudalaniye Lu?" the Archaic Royal Race youth questioned, confused.

"He's asking what we're doing," the Monkey explained. "The ancient nest cannot be easily disturbed, or it will bring about a calamitous death."

"No way, there's no danger, right?" The Black Dog sensed carefully but found nothing amiss. He then said, "If we refine this ancient nest, it could absolutely become an invincible divine object, capable of absorbing and suppressing anything."

"My father has never even seen traces of immortals; this place shouldn't be a true dragon's nest," the Monkey muttered to himself, many thoughts running through his mind.

His father was the Fighting Saint Emperor, who had dominated the Archaic Era. Their race was renowned for its astonishing combat power, so it was imaginable how terrifying he would be as an ancient emperor.

It could be said that the old Fighting Saint Emperor's strength allowed him to stand unmatched throughout history; the final years of the Archaic Era were entirely his dominion.

If this place were an immortal trace, an old Saint Emperor who desperately wished to enter the Immortal Realm would surely have sensed it, yet he had never mentioned it.

"That's right," the Monkey concluded after careful thought, "this is most likely a nest left by an ancient emperor, unknown to others."

"Whether it's a true dragon or an ancient emperor, the ancient nests they leave behind are unparalleled divine artifacts, to say nothing of the immortal treasures they might contain."

The Black Dog disregarded all other thoughts. Upon seeing the dragon nest, he was utterly fixated, wanting only to claim it for himself and constantly devising ways to do so.

Ye Fan was very cautious. He investigated with his Origin Arts and found the place utterly unfathomable. It was a convergence point of myriad dragons, profound, mysterious, and unpredictable.

"Let this Emperor give it a try," the Black Dog announced. Not daring to risk his true body, he plucked a long, shiny black hair from himself, blew on it, and it transformed into a black dog as large as a calf.

"Go," he commanded, "enter the dragon nest and see what's going on."

"Woof!" The large dog, created by transformation, pounced towards the ancient nest like a black lightning bolt.

The Archaic Royal Race youth screamed, his face contorted with terror. He hid behind the others, his body trembling.

"This is bad," Ye Fan murmured, sensing trouble. He conjured the Myriad Things Mother Qi Cauldron, which released thousands of strands of qi.

The Monkey also took out his peerless fierce weapon, gripping it like a large club, ready to swing it at any moment.

"Woof!" In front of the ancient nest, the large dog let out a tragic cry, instantly turning to ashes, its afterimage trapped within the dragon lair.

Simultaneously, a chaotic light sword beam shot out, terrifyingly powerful and capable of destroying all things, rushing towards them in an instant.

Everyone was terrified; this was a pure chaotic sword beam. Not to mention them, even a peak Saint Lord would be utterly annihilated if struck.

"Clang!"

In the Black Emperor's large paw, the ancient emperor's token, wreathed in purple qi, fixed itself in the void, blocking the attack. The chaotic light retreated as quickly as flowing water.

"The Archaic Emperor is truly terrifying! Even after millions of years since their death, the ancient token they left behind still possesses such immortal might," Ye Fan exclaimed in amazement.

"This piece of purple iron, which I dug out from some forgotten corner, is actually a supreme divine object..." The Black Dog hugged the ancient emperor's token tightly, drooling and grinning foolishly without stop.

"May the Undying Heavenly Emperor bless us," the Archaic Royal Race youth prayed to his inner deity, then sternly warned the three of them not to act rashly.

As they circled the ancient nest, they discovered a terrifying truth: within three miles of it, all their divine power would be completely nullified, only recovering once they left the range.

Although the area was vast, layers of ancient cave walls obstructed their view, leaving few suitable vantage points for observation.

Finally, they climbed a perilous cliff to gaze at the scene inside the dragon nest, hoping to understand what lay within.

"A dragon scale!" the Black Dog exclaimed in surprise. Among the ancient nest built from Dragon Wood, he discovered a shining scale that emanated a wisp of an ancient Great Emperor's might.

Whether it was a true dragon's ancient nest or an ancient emperor's relic site, that scale was priceless and could absolutely be refined into a sacred object.

The Dragon Wood was jet-black. Thousands upon thousands of these pieces were piled together to form such a gigantic nest, where endless dragon qi surged. When a strong wind blew past, revealing the interior, it astonished all of them.

"The fourth ancient coffin!"

"A land of chaos!"

The moment a slight gap appeared in the tens of thousands of strands of dragon qi, the interior of the true dragon's ancient nest became vaguely visible: a gigantic coffin floated and sank within, surrounded by surging, endless chaos.

"Is this chaos born from a true dragon's nest, on the same level as immortals?"

"Or did someone intentionally cover this naturally formed land of chaos with Dragon Wood?"

They were all shocked. If it was the former, it would prove the existence of immortals in the world. If it was the latter, it would indicate that this place was simply too mysterious and unfathomable.

At the bottom of the nest built from Dragon Wood, endless chaos surged as if creating heaven and earth, with the ancient coffin mysteriously floating and sinking within it.

"The Ruthless Empress's fourth life is here. He or she certainly knows how to pick a spot," the Black Dog thought, deeply shaken.

"The Myriad Dragon Nest, containing chaos, is such a formidable terrain," Ye Fan mused, comparing it with the deductions in the Origin Heaven Book.

Suddenly, Ye Fan was startled. His Myriad Things Mother Qi vibrated, surging out from within him to hover above his head, releasing thousands of strands of profound yellow qi.

"This is..."

A chill ran through him. The Myriad Things Mother Qi Cauldron trembled continuously, strangely resonating with something inside the ancient nest.

"Crack!"

At the bottom of the true dragon's ancient nest, the ancient coffin, wreathed in chaos, was slowly opening. An unbreakable connection formed between its lid and Ye Fan's cauldron.

"Clang!"

The coffin lid slowly shifted, gradually opening...
