Chapter 310: Lion Makes an Unreasonable Demand

There will be three chapters in total. I'm about to write the second chapter, everyone, I'm counting on you for motivation.

Xu Wu was undeniably strong. At merely nineteen years old, he had reached the fifth heaven of the Dao Palace, an extraordinary feat for his age. Divine light enveloped his body as he fought back fiercely.

However, he had met Ye Fan, and all his efforts were futile against the Desolate Ancient Sacred Body. He couldn't struggle free or strike at the golden hand that gripped his collar, lifting him effortlessly as if he were caught in a pair of tongs.

Holding Xu Wu with one hand and the God-Striking Whip with the other, Ye Fan moved like a phantom, rushing back to the original battlefield to eliminate the other two Four Extremities experts.

Xu Wu's face was pale as he desperately resisted, attempting to sever Ye Fan's arm with his Jade Gold Splitting Hand. His palms shimmered with a green light, comparable to divine jade, radiating brilliance.

Clang!

Yet, even with his extraordinary techniques, he couldn't harm Ye Fan's skin. Instead, his own hands ached, and his jade-gold green fingers were bleeding.

“Save your strength!” Ye Fan’s lips curled into a cold smile. Holding him by the collar with one hand, he held Xu Wu suspended in mid-air, as if grasping a small chick.

“Quickly, release our young master! Do you know who he is? Such aggression will bring immense disaster upon you!” one of the Four Extremities Realm cultivators blustered, though clearly intimidated. He could only rely on his master’s identity to deter Ye Fan now; the thought of fighting filled him with dread, as two of their four united attackers had already been killed.

Ye Fan scoffed, “I dared to burn a Grand Elder of the Ji family to death. What makes you think I wouldn’t dare touch you?”

He strode forward, swinging the God-Striking Whip. It descended with the might of Mount Tai, crushing and heavy as a mountain, slamming down instantly.

The Four Extremities Realm expert’s expression changed. He formed a Qilin seal with his hands, and a black Qilin, roaring fiercely, materialized before him, shimmering with dark light, charging forward.

Pfft!

Ye Fan shook his cauldron, and a strand of All-Encompassing Mother Qi surged out. Like a chaotic sword beam, it was incredibly sharp, instantly cleaving the black Qilin apart.

Thud!

The Four Extremities Realm cultivator’s ten fingers vibrated simultaneously, unleashing streams of dazzling divine light that pierced towards Ye Fan, causing the very void to tremble.

Boom!

Beside him, Tu Fei made his move. He didn't want to remain uninvolved. The replica of the Ancient Heaven Swallowing Jar possessed unparalleled power, causing people's souls to tremble under its pressure.

The cultivator screamed in terror. After all, he couldn't compare to the various Holy Sons; his body was almost sucked in and became fixed in mid-air.

Even though the replica of an ultimate weapon was incomplete, and its materials and dao patterns were vastly inferior to the original, it was still incredibly formidable.

At this critical juncture, he had no other choice but to unleash all his magic treasures, sending them towards the replica of the Ancient Heaven Swallowing Jar.

Light flared brilliantly, dazzling in the night sky. He continuously unleashed over a dozen magic treasures, fighting with all his might, making the void tremble as he attacked with everything he had.

“Crack!” “Snap!” Ye Fan strode forward, swinging the God-Striking Whip. Magic treasures shattered one after another. The cultivator screamed in agony and instantly collapsed onto the ground, falling backward.

His divine consciousness was severely damaged. Before Ye Fan could kill him, he himself couldn't endure it anymore and rolled around on the ground.

Pfft!

A wisp of Primordial Chaos Qi descended from the cauldron above Ye Fan's head, instantly grinding the cultivator into dust, turning him into a bloody paste, utterly annihilating his form and spirit.

The other Four Extremities Realm cultivator, not so loyal, had been watching with cold eyes. Seeing the situation turn dire, he immediately turned to flee.

“Black Sovereign, seal off the outside for me! Don't let anyone escape!” Ye Fan transmitted mentally.

Xu Wu was captured by him. If word got out, the consequences would be severe. The Third Great Bandit, Xu Tianxiong, was even more terrifying than the great expert, the Azure Dragon King. In the distance, black mist surged, blocking the fleeing Four Extremities Realm cultivator and all others attempting to escape; they couldn't break through at all.

“Why run? Didn't you say you wanted me to kneel here and offer the All-Encompassing Mother Qi Cauldron?”

Ye Fan strode forward in pursuit, saying, “The cauldron is right here. Feel free to come and take it.”

“You… you dare to lay a hand on Xu Tianxiong’s grandson? Stop immediately! There’s still room to salvage this situation.” This Four Extremities Realm cultivator clearly lacked backbone.

“Things have come to this, and you still want to salvage it?” Tu Fei made his move, unleashing the replica of the Ancient Heaven Swallowing Jar, which instantly created a black hole in the sky.

The ancient ceramic jar possessed astonishing devouring power, like a bottomless pit that could swallow even one's mind.

This person was not Yao Xi and couldn't compare to the great Holy Sons; naturally, he couldn't withstand the Heaven Swallowing Demonic Jar. His movements became difficult, as if he were trapped in a quagmire.

“You…!” he screamed in terror. For Ye Fan, wielding the God-Striking Whip, had now approached. He was already struggling to resist the Ancient Heaven Swallowing Jar, and facing someone like an ancient war god, he was doomed. Ye Fan, radiating killing intent, had no intention of letting him go.

The cultivator knew that even surrendering would be useless. His eyes flashed fiercely as he declared, “If you kill us, you won't live either! Xu Heng will act, and Xu Tianxiong won't stand by while his grandson is killed!”

He opened his mouth and spat out a rain of swords—hundreds of flying swords, each crystalline, forged like stars, incredibly sharp, glittering with divine light, stabbing towards Ye Fan.

“Clang!” “Clang!” It was all in vain. Unleashing weapons with divine sense to kill Ye Fan was like trying to extinguish a fire with paper. Ye Fan swung the God-Striking Whip, shattering dozens of flying swords one after another.

The cultivator let out a loud cry and fell backward onto the ground. His cultivation might have been inferior to Ye Fan's, but he simply couldn't withstand the opponent's assault, leaving him utterly unwilling to die; even in death, his eyes would not close in peace.

Pfft!

Ye Fan pointed a finger, and a golden light shot out, leaving a bloody hole in the cultivator's forehead, ending his life.

Tu Fei was no soft touch either; when he attacked, he did so without hesitation, sweeping the surroundings with the Ancient Heaven Swallowing Demonic Jar. Ye Fan, meanwhile, paused. All the Four Extremities Realm cultivators had been killed, and the remaining ones were not a threat. He lowered his gaze to Xu Wu.

At this moment, Xu Wu's ten fingers were shattered, profusely bleeding, and shimmering with a frightening jade-green light. His finger bones seemed broken, leaving him unable to exert any more strength.

“Release me. I have something to say to you,” Xu Wu said gravely.

Slap! Ye Fan slapped him, scoffing, “Are you still trying to put on airs for me? Are you going to tell me you’re Xu Tianxiong’s grandson? I already know that!”

“You…” Xu Wu’s face turned ashen, trembling with rage, but he quickly controlled his emotions and said, “That’s not what I meant. I want to talk to you properly. Perhaps we can become friends; there’s no need to be enemies.”

“Why didn’t you say that just now?” Ye Fan slapped him again, saying, “Who was it just now, so nonchalant, demanding that I kneel on the ground and offer the All-Encompassing Mother Qi Cauldron with both hands?”

“We didn't know each other until we fought. Although there was a conflict, we can still become friends.”

Xu Wu’s voice gradually softened. He knew that the person before him dared to provoke even the Holy Lands. If he continued to recklessly shout while in Ye Fan’s hands, he would certainly be slapped to death.

“You’re right, one doesn’t truly know someone until they’ve fought. Only after a fight can we claim acquaintance.” Ye Fan forcefully slammed him to the ground, causing Xu Wu to roll his eyes and nearly faint from the impact.

Bang!

Ye Fan kicked out, sending Xu Wu flying like a kicked ball. However, he caught up within five steps, slapped him out of the air and onto the ground, breaking many of his bones.

Pfft!

Xu Wu coughed up blood and struggled a few times, but couldn't get up. He forced an awkward smile and said, “You’ve vented your anger. Let’s talk properly now. To be honest, I don’t have a good impression of the Holy Land people either. We can cooperate.”

How could Ye Fan possibly believe him? Tu Fei had said that this person was rotten to the core, committing all kinds of evil deeds, and was extremely vengeful. Relying on a grandfather no one dared to provoke, and an invincible elder brother among the descendants of the great bandits, he was capable of absolutely heinous acts.

Slap!

Ye Fan slapped him across the face, sending him flying. Blood gushed from his mouth, spilling into the air as he fell.

“Don’t kill him, or the trouble will be enormous!” Tu Fei, having dealt with the others, walked closer.

“Brother Tu, we are old family acquaintances…” Xu Wu looked at Tu Fei and shouted loudly.

Bang!

Ye Fan kicked him into the sky, then continuously struck him with golden palm strikes. Xu Wu screamed in agony; even at the fifth heaven of the Dao Palace, he couldn’t withstand the golden palms and fingers of the Desolate Ancient Sacred Body.

Finally, Xu Wu was nearly crippled by the golden hand, and the sounds he made were no longer human.

“Stop… please stop…” Xu Wu was truly dazed from the beating.

All his life, no one had dared to lay a finger on him. He had committed every evil imaginable, always dominating others. Today, he had demanded Ye Fan kneel and present his cauldron, and the result was utterly tragic.

Ye Fan gave him another round of slaps before finally stopping. Sitting on a soft chair, he said, “I’ll give you a chance too. Apologize to me and offer all your Source. Perhaps I will spare your life.”

“Alright, no problem,” Xu Wu gritted his teeth and immediately knelt on the ground. A malicious glint flashed in his eyes and quickly vanished; as long as he could live, he would do anything.

Light shimmered, and a pile of Source appeared on the ground—over eight hundred catties of it, glittering in myriad colors, exceptionally dreamlike under the night sky, captivating to the eye.

“Is that all? At most, it will only guarantee one of your ears remains intact,” Ye Fan said indifferently.

Xu Wu harbored immense hatred, cursing chillingly in his heart, but showed no outward sign. He said, “Although I have Source, it’s impossible for me to carry it all. If you want more, I can go retrieve it for you.”

“Do you want your grandfather to make a move against me?” Ye Fan sneered.

“Absolutely not!”

“If you want to live, produce two hundred thousand catties of Source, and we'll call it even,” Ye Fan demanded, his asking price exorbitant.

“You…” Xu Wu’s vision blurred, feeling an urge to vomit blood.

“I plundered the bandits of Anzhou and obtained over twenty thousand catties of Source. I doubt you only operate in this one province, do you? I don’t want to hear any more excuses. If you can’t produce the Source, I’ll kill you on the spot!”

Under Ye Fan's piercing gaze, Xu Wu dared not conceal anything. He feared that the opponent would use his powerful divine sense to probe his Sea of Consciousness, which would only bring him more suffering.

Indeed, he also supported some other bandits, from whom he could likely gather another twenty thousand catties of Source. This was his limit; he had no more extra Source.

Ye Fan thoroughly searched the mountain stronghold and found nearly three thousand catties of Source.

At this moment, Tu Fei collected the golden ancient pagoda and said, “This is a weapon personally refined by Xu Tianxiong. He truly dotes on his youngest grandson. It’s worth at least thirty thousand catties of Source.”

The golden ancient pagoda was magnificent and radiated light. Not long ago, Ye Fan had knocked it away with the God-Striking Whip, but it remained undamaged, perfectly intact.

The materials used were extremely rare and precious, and the engraved dao patterns were intricate, making it a rare treasure. It was a five-storied ancient pagoda, with dragon patterns on each level, appearing natural and ancient, imbued with the aura of the Dao.

“This ancient pagoda truly seems to have some history…” Ye Fan nodded, then looked at Xu Wu, saying, “You can only gather at most twenty thousand catties of Source, and even with this pagoda, it’s only fifty thousand catties. If there’s nothing else, I’ll have to kill you.”

Boom!

Suddenly, the golden ancient pagoda trembled, and a luminous figure burst forth from its fifth level. An old man materialized and said, “Young friend, might you show some mercy?”
