Chapter 295: Innate Supreme Void Energy

Ji Yunteng’s face was ashen, and his body trembled with rage. He had never imagined Ye Fan would be so audacious as to act in such a way. Being wanted by two great Holy Lands, yet daring to risk his life alone to come to the Ji family and falsely claim a reward—this truly infuriated him, causing veins to throb on his forehead.

“Anger harms the body, don’t get worked up,” Ye Fan said with a smile. “Anyway, your family is wealthy and powerful; you won’t miss this little bit of yuan.”

“You, Ye, are too arrogant!” Ji Yunteng said grimly. “Two great Holy Lands are after you, yet you dare to come out and defraud us of our yuan. You won’t live for long. The Desolate Ancient Families are not to be desecrated!”

Ye Fan’s smile did not fade. “What can you do?” he asked. “Do you intend to kill me?”

“I’ll crush you with one hand!” Ji Yunteng exclaimed. Auspicious light radiated from his body, divine power surged, and streams of dragon energy swirled around him, pushing his cultivation to its limit.

“How powerful, how spirited,” Ye Fan sneered. “Let me see just how heroic a young expert from a Desolate Ancient Family can be.”

“I’ll kill you right now!” Ji Yunteng shouted, then silently vanished into the void, having deployed the Great Void Technique.

Surprisingly, despite his fierce words, he reappeared in the distant sky instead of charging at Ye Fan. Ji Yunteng had chosen to flee, moving with extreme speed. His aggressive statements were purely to keep Ye Fan in place and prepare for his escape. Although conceited and always believing in the supremacy of the Desolate Ancient Families, after witnessing Ye Fan effortlessly slap Ji Yunbiao, a cultivator at the third layer of the Dao Palace, to death, he immediately understood that even at the fourth layer of the Dao Palace, he was no match for Ye Fan.

“Why are your actions inconsistent with your words?” Ye Fan asked, a gentle smile on his face, as he blocked Ji Yunteng’s path.

“You…” Ji Yunteng was greatly astonished. Ye Fan, though starting later, had arrived first and was even faster than him.

With a whoosh, Ji Yunteng deployed the Great Void Technique again, vanishing from his spot. He possessed arrogance and great self-confidence, but he did not wish to die and was trying every means to escape. However, when he re-emerged from the void, he found Ye Fan still blocking his way, a cold sneer on his face.

“Aren’t you tired?” Ye Fan asked. “Is constantly running away fun?”

“You, Ye, are too arrogant!” Ji Yunteng retreated rapidly. “You’ve offended two great Holy Lands; there will be no place for you in this world from now on.”

“I was just planning to travel around,” Ye Fan said. “Breaking through to the fourth layer of the Dao Palace requires a hundred thousand jin of yuan, so I’m counting on your Ji family and the Shaking Light Holy Land to provide it for me.”

Ye Fan leisurely took a dozen steps and caught up to him. A golden palm, as large as a millstone, came slamming down, intent on giving him no further chance to escape. Five silver streaks of light suddenly appeared, like five silver dragons crossing the sky, as thick as houses. The silver dragons twisted upwards, intersecting in pairs to form dragon shears, aiming to intercept Ye Fan’s golden palm. This was the Ji family’s supreme technique, the Heaven-Bearing Finger, incredibly powerful. Unfortunately, its effectiveness depended on who wielded it. Compared to Ye Fan, Ji Yunteng was at an absolute disadvantage.

*Crack!* The five dragon streaks were shattered by the enormous golden palm. The huge hand swept down, and with a *crunch*, Ji Yunteng’s expression turned ashen as his arm was instantly mangled.

“Ah…” He cried out, looking up at the sky, and with all his might, unleashed another divine technique recorded in the Ancient Void Scripture. He opened his mouth and spat out a stream of Grand Dao Qi, which surged towards Ye Fan. This was the Six-One Innate Grand Void Gang Qi, recorded in the Ancient Void Scripture. It was formed by blending the caster’s Innate One Qi with the void, making it indestructible, capable of shattering even divine weapons and treasures. It was clear to see that the stream of energy erupting from Ji Yunteng’s mouth, representing the Innate Grand Void, twisted the very fabric of space.

*Clang!* Ye Fan made no attempt to dodge. He swung his golden fist, striking as if against a falling star of immense weight, the sound deafening. *Buzz!* The Innate Grand Void Gang Qi, reputed to be indestructible, was instantly dispersed. Dazzling divine light transformed into a torrent that rushed in all directions, causing the entire void to tremble. *Poof!* The mountain peak beneath their feet, only dozens of meters away, was affected. The dissipated Innate Grand Void Gang Qi sliced off three to four meters from its height, leaving a clean cut.

“You…” Ji Yunteng’s face was flushed. With the Innate One Qi unleashed, eight or nine tenths of his divine power had been expended, yet it had been shattered by a single punch from his opponent, a reality he found hard to accept.

“An extraordinary technique,” Ye Fan said, pressing forward. “But it also depends on who wields it. It seems every young generation member of the Ji family has mastered two or three secret arts from the Ancient Void Scripture. Could you explain them to me?”

“Don’t be so smug, Ye!” Ji Yunteng gritted his teeth. “My Ji family has countless geniuses. Many in the younger generation are powerful enough to keep you down forever. You won’t survive!”

“I’ll seek out those geniuses you mentioned in the future,” Ye Fan said, slamming a palm forward. *Bang!* Ji Yunteng dodged, but he was not fast enough for the golden hand. Struck directly, his body was battered like a broken drum, and he fell to the ground.

“Ye, if you’re not killing me, what do you want?”

“I want to learn about the Ancient Void Scripture from you,” Ye Fan said, landing on the ground with a gentle smile.

“Dream on!” Ji Yunteng gnashed his teeth.

Suddenly, Ye Fan looked up and gazed towards the distant horizon. Four figures, seemingly floating above the ground like ethereal immortals, robes fluttering, rapidly approached. He quipped, “Your Ji family truly thinks highly of me, sending four more people. You want to tie up loose ends neatly, leaving no trace, to avoid gossip.”

*Bang!* Ye Fan stepped out, sending Ji Yunteng flying. With multiple bone fractures, he lay motionless on the ground, unable to even speak. Ji Yunteng was utterly shamed and enraged. He had boasted he could crush Ye Fan with one foot, yet he had ended up in this state. It was clear his opponent was not killing him because he sought to obtain the divine techniques recorded in the Ancient Void Scripture.

*Whoosh!* Ye Fan flicked his sleeve, creating a large crack in the ground. With another sweep of his sleeve, he buried Ji Yunteng beneath it.

A short while later, the four figures on the horizon arrived. They stopped abruptly, raising no dust, their eight eyes like sharp swords, fixed on Ye Fan.

“Is there anything else I can help you with?”

“Enough nonsense! Where are Ji Yunteng and Ji Yunbiao?” one of them asked, his face darkening, sensing something was wrong.

“They are members of your Ji family,” Ye Fan said calmly. “What does that have to do with me? Why ask me?”

“They were pursuing you! How could they have vanished?” the man shouted.

“Oh, they were pursuing me? For what purpose?” Ye Fan asked serenely.

The four men pressed forward. One of them, with a cold expression, said, “Stop trying to change the subject! Tell us, where are Ji Yunteng and Ji Yunbiao?”

“Don’t yell at me,” Ye Fan said, his expression turning cold. “Am I obligated to look after them for you?”

All four Ji family members sensed something was amiss. They each retreated, preparing for either battle or escape, to avoid any mishaps. However, one of them remained overbearing. “Stop feigning ignorance!” he shouted. “Tell us their whereabouts immediately, or you’ll understand the consequences.”

*Slap!* Ye Fan suddenly swung his large sleeve, sending the Ji family disciple stumbling backward. “Who are you calling ‘feigning ignorance’?” he said coldly. “And what exactly are these ‘consequences’ you speak of?”

“You…” The Ji family disciple’s face instantly changed. He pointed a finger, saying, “You dare to strike me first?” Disciples of the Desolate Ancient Families were always surrounded by admiration, like stars around the moon, wherever they went. Few dared to offend them.

“What are you to me?” Ye Fan sneered. “What if I did strike you?” He swept his large sleeve, like an iron cloud passing by. *Slap!* The wide sleeve, like an iron plate, swept through the void, solidly descending. The Ji family disciple tried to block with his arm, but it was utterly useless, and he was sent flying.

*Bang!* The Ji family disciple was enraged. He shot into the sky, hovering high above, his eyes gleaming with cold light and boundless killing intent. Then, headfirst, he plunged downward, unleashing the Void Great Hand Seal. A black hand, like a crushing black wall, descended, causing hearts to palpitate. However, Ye Fan remained perfectly still, making no attempt to dodge. He looked up at the disciple, and only when the black hand was almost upon him did he suddenly extend his left hand with a *thump*, grabbing upwards.

“Retreat quickly!” the three men behind shouted, warning the Ji family disciple.

*Bang!* But it was too late. Ye Fan caught the Void Great Hand Seal with one hand, then effortlessly shot his hand through the air, seized the disciple, and plucked him from the sky, as easily as if he were grabbing a chick. *Slap!* Ye Fan raised his hand and slapped the disciple directly across the face, sending saliva flying and blood gushing.

“Do you wish to make an enemy of the Ji family?” The Ji family disciple spat out a mouthful of blood, clearly trying to sound fierce despite his inner fear.

“What’s wrong with striking a Ji family member?” Ye Fan sneered. “Do you truly believe the Ji family is the Great Emperor of the Eastern Wasteland?” He raised his hand and delivered another slap, making blood spurt from the disciple’s nose and mouth.

The three men behind him were not as reckless. They had sensed something was wrong from the beginning and had kept their distance from Ye Fan, leaving them the option to either fight or retreat. Now, they chose not to intervene. Instead, they turned and left, acting decisively because they had a premonition that they were no match for Ye Fan. Unfortunately, it was already too late.

*Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...* Ye Fan cast out dozens of small flags, all of which landed in the ground. Dense mist surged forth, obscuring the area and blocking their escape routes. These were artifacts crafted by the Black Emperor, inscribed with intricate Dao patterns, ensuring that cultivators of the Dao Palace Secret Realm would be trapped without fail. Ye Fan, holding the Ji family disciple, ruthlessly slapped him repeatedly until he was barely breathing, then threw him to the ground like a dead dog.

The other three men’s faces completely changed. A disciple at the third layer of the Dao Palace had been utterly helpless, slapped more than a dozen times, and trampled to the ground. A chill ran through their hearts.

“Friend, why go to such lengths?” one of them spoke. “Ji Yunsheng is always reckless and ill-tempered, often offending people. He may have displeased you just now, but there’s no need to be so ruthless, is there?”

Ji Yunsheng, his mouth bleeding, groaned and struggled to get up. But he no longer dared to speak arrogantly, fear dawning in his eyes. He knew he had provoked serious trouble. The three men felt uneasy. Trapped in this place, they were in extreme danger.

“Friend, this is all a misunderstanding,” he continued. “You provided our Ji family with clues to hunt down the rogue Ye Fan. In a way, we’re on the same side, and we’re very grateful to you.” He added, “Ji Yunsheng, why aren’t you apologizing quickly? We’ve warned you repeatedly not to be impulsive, and today you’ve caused trouble again. We’ll hold you accountable when we return!”

The three men, with smiles on their faces, offered explanations and urged Ji Yunsheng to apologize.

Ye Fan smiled. “No need for apologies,” he said. “Because I am the Ye Fan you’re looking for.”

“What?!” All four men were utterly stunned. When Ye Fan revealed his true form and then pulled Ji Yunteng out from where he was buried in the ground crack, all four men’s faces turned ashen, and they were so enraged they almost coughed up blood.

“What do you want?”

“I’m quite interested in the Innate Grand Void Gang Qi,” Ye Fan said. “I wonder if you could teach it to me.”
