An extraordinary and magnificent place.
According to ancient legends, this great star was once a forbidden zone of life in the extremely distant past. However, it later transformed, and many powerful races emerged and thrived here.
The star is immense, no smaller than any great life-bearing planet Ye Fan had ever witnessed. Ancient trees pierce the sky, great rivers surge, and majestic cliffs rise, creating an exceptionally grand spectacle.
"A former forbidden zone from the Age of Mythology, it was also once known as the place closest to Immortals," Ye Fan murmured with a hint of emotion.
Many years had passed, and his understanding of the universe had greatly expanded. Stars like Fei Xian, in particular, had naturally become a key subject of his investigation.
"Roar..."
Ye Fan descended into a mountainous area. An Elephant Dragon, dozens of meters tall and shaped like a mammoth but covered entirely in green scales, charged towards him. It held a giant tiger in its mouth, tearing at it, a bloody sight.
On the other side, at the peak of a majestic stone mountain, a nest housed a silver giant bird, nearly two hundred meters long. It gazed down, then suddenly spread its wings, beating the sky, and dove.
Blood splattered as the silver giant bird extended its sharp talons, instantly tearing the Elephant Dragon apart. It carried the pieces back to its nest on the mountain peak, ripping them into strips of flesh to feed its young. Bursts of silver flames rose from the nest, signifying the awakening divine power of the fledglings.
These were powerful wild beasts and fierce birds, each exceptionally formidable, comparable to a master in their own right.
They had all long mastered divine principles, yet they still lived and struggled within a primitive food chain. The strong survived, the weak became prey—an incredibly cruel and bloody reality.
This was Fei Xian Star. Having just arrived and witnessed only this small corner, Ye Fan already understood the cruel reality of survival here: only the strong endured.
He journeyed towards the vast central lands, seeking to gain a deeper understanding of what truly lay there and what secrets it concealed.
"Boom!"
A colossal sound echoed. In the distance, a red-furred divine ape, thousands of meters tall and truly a colossus, stood like a mountain, blocking his path. It held a stone axe in its hand, exuding monstrous divine power.
Ye Fan was surprised; he had not expected to encounter a primeval giant here, a creature from the barbaric era, exuding a terrifying aura.
"Human, where do you come from?" A massive spiritual fluctuation echoed.
This was the king of the primeval giants, resembling an ancient ape with hair several meters long. It had discovered Ye Fan, and its voice rumbled like thunder.
"I come from beyond this domain," Ye Fan answered truthfully.
This giant king was a Great Saint, its power quite formidable. It spoke with a warning tone: "I sense that you are very dangerous and powerful, but I must tell you, do not, under any circumstances, try to break the seal of the Central Ancient Land. Otherwise, it will be a disaster for Fei Xian Star."
Ye Fan was surprised. He politely communicated with the giant king to understand the situation here.
The ancient giant sat down and began to recount.
It is said that the Central Ancient Land was a forbidden zone of life in the Age of Mythology, and also the place where true Immortals were once seen. Throughout history, it has been filled with legends and secrets. However, for unknown reasons, it was later sealed by various Supremes, preventing the Immortal Realm from emerging again.
"Throughout history, many Great Emperors have visited and explored that place," the red-haired giant stated. "I see you appear to be a powerful contender on the Imperial Path, and I fear you might act rashly and break the seal there."
These revelations were quite astonishing. Ye Fan had heard rumors many years ago that the seal of Fei Xian Star had loosened, and supreme beings had emerged to attack other ancient lands of life.
"No, that was a rumor," the giant clarified. "The true Central Immortal Land has always remained sealed; it's just that the great seal there has gradually loosened. The actual powerhouses attacking outwards are the Kunlun Remnants."
Kunlun Remnants, a powerful designation!
They are not a single race but a collective term for a group of races. In the extremely distant past, they once lived on Kunlun Immortal Mountain and were the uncrowned kings of the Age of Mythology.
Their power and terrifying nature were known throughout the world; one could say they were unrivaled in that era. Later, only a mighty figure like Dìzūn dared to attack them, eventually breaking through Kunlun Immortal Mountain, killing their clan's sleeping Supremes, and forcefully overthrowing their dynasty.
Ye Fan remained silent. That was a glorious and splendid period where cultivation civilization was extremely advanced, various races competed for supremacy, and tens of thousands of powerful races thrived, an unparalleled era.
Yet, precisely in such an era, it was filled with bloodshed, brimming with war and slaughter. Countless powerful races were annihilated, disappearing within that supremely brilliant period.
"The Kunlun Remnants live here; there are dozens of powerful tribes among them, making them one of the rulers of Fei Xian Star," the ancient giant king stated.
Ye Fan nodded. He had long heard that this star was very dangerous.
"So, the beings on Fei Xian Star attack the 'other shore' every so often, not just for the Ancient Heavenly Court, but also for Kunlun Immortal Mountain, their ancestral land, and to find the Immortal Bell, to retrieve their lost supreme ancestral artifact," Ye Fan murmured.
He noted the giant king's words: the Kunlun Remnants were only one of the rulers of this star; there were other powerful forces.
"There is another group of people, known as Qi Cultivators, who absorb the vital energy of heaven and earth. Although few in number, they are all extremely powerful. They are outsiders and seem to be searching for something."
Upon hearing this, Ye Fan's expression changed dramatically. He had unexpectedly heard news of the pre-Qin Qi Cultivators!
This was indeed very surprising to him. They were a group of extraordinary individuals from Earth, all possessing profound origins and backgrounds.
In previous years, he had sought them, desiring to discover their whereabouts. He never imagined they would be on Fei Xian Star.
"That's it," Ye Fan mused to himself. "The Kunlun Remnants attacked Earth, seeking to ascend their ancestral Immortal Mountain. After the rise of the pre-Qin Qi Cultivators, they must have come here by reversing that path."
The giant nodded. The two sides were indeed in a hostile stance; terrifying bloody battles had occurred in the past, but in recent years, things had been relatively peaceful, with no more campaigns.
A commotion stirred in Ye Fan's heart as he thought of many things. Perhaps he could meet numerous ancient figures from Earth on this star, some renowned, some semi-divine and semi-human, all shrouded in mystery.
In the past, he lacked the power to come here, and even if he had, it would have been in vain. Now, things were different. He had become one of the overlords of the universe; with the Forbidden Zone Supremes not appearing, few could rival him!
Ye Fan bid farewell to the primeval giant. With a flash, he traversed the land and arrived at the Central Immortal Land.
The so-called Immortal Land was utterly desolate, with not a blade of grass growing. The ground was reddish and devoid of any vegetation, bleak and desolate, utterly different from what one might imagine.
Its territory was vast, with no discernible boundaries, as if enveloped by a grand space-time array that rendered it boundless.
Ye Fan strolled here, feeling a faint fluctuation beneath the ground, as if several supreme deities were chained, battling and roaring.
This sensation was peculiar, feeling very illusory and ethereal.
Ye Fan frowned, focusing his senses. The result was different this time; his divine consciousness captured vast expanses of brilliant light rain, like people ascending to immortality or gods descending.
It was a boundless immortal realm, with celestial birds and auspicious beasts flying, and magnificent palaces suspended on white clouds, radiating peace.
And within the scene of ascending to immortality, there were several Immortal Lords whose life force was drying up. They were struggling to say something, seemingly warning the beings of the mortal realm.
"What a strange sensation!"
Ye Fan was truly startled. Powerful as he was, at the Sixth Heaven of Quasi-Emperor, and perhaps even destined to break through to a higher level in recent years, he could not distinguish between illusion and reality at this moment.
He could not discern which was real.
The more he extended his divine consciousness, the more peculiar and extraordinary it felt, and the more disorienting it became.
He probed carefully once more and saw several great Immortal Kings seated on prayer mats. Below the mats, however, dark mist surged, and several Demonic Ancestors roared, their bodies pierced by chains of immortal order.
"What is going on?"
He trusted his senses and divine abilities, but here they were hindered. Various illusions and mists appeared intermittently, making it difficult to distinguish truth from falsehood.
Ye Fan did not act rashly. The seal could not be broken at this time, and he trusted the words of the primeval giant king. He turned and left, entering another expanse of land.
"Roar..."
"Who dares trespass upon the sacred land of my Kunlun Remnants?"
Amidst the devil-king-like roar, a massive figure appeared in the high sky, gazing down at Ye Fan and roaring. This was a formidable being formed by the activation of a supreme grand array.
It was an imprint, yet it differed little from a real person and had even reached the Quasi-Emperor realm. Ye Fan's eyes gleamed; the Kunlun Remnants were indeed formidable. He had only just shown himself, and such a Quasi-Emperor-level imprint had manifested. Any ordinary person coming here would surely die.
He also clearly saw a colossal stele ahead, inscribed with: "Qiongqi Tribe."
Ye Fan's expression shifted. This fierce beast was well-documented in ancient Chinese myths and legends. The *Classic of Mountains and Seas* described it: "On a mountain there is a beast; its shape is like a cow with hedgehog's bristles, named Qiongqi; its sound is like a dog, and it eats humans."
The Quasi-Emperor-level creature imprint in the air was a Qiongqi!
Ye Fan looked and saw a powerful tribe within the mountain range, all of this type of creature. This was one of the Kunlun Remnants.
He did not engage in combat. He turned and left, entering the adjacent vast territory. He successively encountered other fierce beasts like Taowu, Hundun, and Taotie. The Four Great Fiends were all present, all belonging to the Kunlun Remnants.
"Indeed powerful!" Ye Fan marveled. "These were ancient divine beasts and fierce beasts, all of which could be seen here."
Finally, he saw a terrifying mountain range, crimson as blood, with an imposing aura like a dragon, stretching for millions of kilometers.
"Candle Dragon Tribe!"
Ye Fan's eyes gleamed. This was definitely a terrifying race; this was their dwelling place.
The Candle Dragon was mentioned in various ancient texts. Qu Yuan's *Heavenly Questions* recorded: "Where does the sun not reach? What does the Candle Dragon illuminate?"
The *Classic of Mountains and Seas* and *Huainanzi* also recorded it, describing its form and origin. There were too many accounts about it; it was said that when it opened its eyes, it was day, and when it closed them, it was night. Some records even stated it created heaven and earth and all things.
All these accounts were enough to illustrate its power and terrifying nature.
Ye Fan speculated that the Candle Dragon was likely a Supreme of the Kunlun Remnants, extinguished in the Age of Mythology, which could be inferred from its legends.
Ye Fan traversed this region without truly delving deep, but he perceived their immense power. Each possessed world-shaking magical might, and there were dozens of battle divisions.
Finally, he crossed over to another terrifying region of Fei Xian Star, a place belonging to the Qi Cultivators.
As soon as Ye Fan arrived here, he was startled. The architectural styles and ruins were indeed identical to those he knew from ancient China, as if he had returned to Earth.
Not long after, upon reaching a strange terrain, the architectural style changed dramatically.
"Great Thunderclap Temple!"
Ye Fan's gaze halted. Here he saw this renowned temple once more, grand and solemn, bathed in the setting sun, imbued with an inviolable sacred brilliance.
"Is Shakyamuni inside?" he murmured. He gazed at it blankly for a long time but did not enter.
This entire area was filled with temples, with ancient temples hidden deep in the mountains.
As he traversed and reached another area, he saw one Taoist temple after another.
He was inwardly startled. This place definitely harbored peerless masters like Quasi-Emperors. He feared some powerful figures from ancient China were hidden here.
Traversing mountains and fording rivers, without using his magical power, he walked through vast regions. Finally, when he rested at the foot of a nameless hill, he saw a small, dilapidated temple.
An old Taoist priest was smiling at him, seemingly having sensed him long ago, and had been watching him ever since he appeared on the horizon.
"Benefactor, should I address you as Ye Fan the Sacred Body, Heavenly Emperor Ye Fan, or perhaps the Dìzūn?"
Ye Fan was immediately stunned. Why would he say such a thing?
"Hmm, you must not be the Dìzūn; I was mistaken," the old Taoist said, nodding and offering a salute from the small hill. "Let me simply call you Benefactor Ye."
