The Porcelain Doll was innocent and carefree, not at all intimidated by Ye Fan, a powerful figure comparable to a Great Saint. Her voice was sweet and endearing, naturally innocent.
Ye Fan noticed the longevity lock hanging around her snow-white neck. He understood immediately whose descendant she was and couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion.
The longevity lock was crafted from purple gold. Although its luster and extraordinary qualities were deliberately concealed, making it less conspicuous, a sense of serenity could still be perceived from it.
This extraordinary lock was made from the leftover material used by a Buddha to forge a demon-subduing vajra. It was then crafted into a protective lock by the Bodhisattvas of the Western Desert. Lost for a time, it was once worn by Central Emperor Xiang Yufei before falling into Duan De's hands.
Finally, Ye Fan, Princess Yudie, and Dongfang Ye ambushed the unscrupulous Taoist in the Immortal Mansion World. They knocked him down and plundered him clean, and the longevity lock ended up in Yudie's hands.
"Is the Princess doing well?" Ye Fan asked.
"My mother is very well," the Porcelain Doll said happily. "She has mentioned you, Uncle, many times, telling me to learn from you and cultivate diligently."
The Central Province has four great imperial dynasties, beneath which are nine major dynasties and various schools of thought. Princess Yudie is the heir to the Anping Kingdom, one of the nine dynasties, and has now become its queen.
Ye Fan had previously saved Yudie and, in return, was given an ancient scripture. This scripture expounded the mysteries of the Great Dao of Nature and was suspected to have been written by a Human Emperor in his later years. Li Ruoyu of Zhuo Peak regarded it as an invaluable treasure, and Ye Fan himself was greatly inspired by it.
Yudie was one of the most beautiful women in the Central Province, ranked third by those who kept such lists. She had countless admirers across the land and was highly popular among her generation.
The stunning young girl of yesteryear had now become a mother. Ye Fan could only lament how swiftly time flew!
"My mother said," the Porcelain Doll declared, her large eyes shining brightly and her voice childlike, "if I ever saw you, Uncle, I must ask you many questions and invite you to our home as a guest."
Ye Fan smiled and patted her head. This child was truly adorable.
In fact, this little girl was not shy at all. She asked Ye Fan many questions and even inquired about matters on the ancient starry road.
A group of people nearby were envious. Eventually, other young cultivators gathered around, making it quite lively. They were full of curiosity about the legendary Sacred Body, addressing him as "Senior" with every question.
In the distance, a group of cultivators who had practiced for nearly two hundred years remained silent. These individuals had lived through Ye Fan's era, witnessing his rise. Looking back now, it felt like a dream; everything was different.
They were naturally all geniuses, famous in their respective regions. But compared to the current Ye Fan, they paled too much. Slaying the Heavenly Prince, stepping onto the Human Ancient Road, contending with Great Saints, and threatening to flatten Mount Meru in a rage—which of these was not an earth-shattering event?
"Ah, time truly changes too much!" some sighed silently.
Some powerful individuals were not very old, but after witnessing a century of turbulent events, they developed a desire to retreat from the world, no longer willing to contend in this chaotic era.
Ye Fan shared some stories about his journey with the young people, and then headed deep into the Qishi Mansion. He intended to find the old Mansion Lord to inquire about some matters.
Unfortunately, his wish was not granted. The old Mansion Lord had also disappeared decades, even a century ago, long gone from this place. His trip was in vain.
"Uncle, I'll treat you to a drink," the Porcelain Doll said, running over and pulling him towards a small tavern. The mansion was surrounded by beautiful mountains, and peach blossoms bloomed along the roadside, filling the air with their fragrance.
The little one was eager to learn, asking many questions about cultivation. Then, mustering her courage, she nervously asked Ye Fan to teach her the technique of "One Weapon Breaking Ten Thousand Laws."
Ye Fan smiled and said, "Very well, I shall impart a volume of the Dao Scripture to you."
Other scriptures, he couldn't just impart freely, as they belonged to factions like the Jade Lake or the Jiang Family, and randomly spreading them would cause major problems. The Dao Scripture, however, had no such concerns.
The Porcelain Doll immediately cheered, clenching her small fists tightly. Clearly, the little girl had wanted to learn the profound mysteries of this particular scripture.
Ye Fan lightly touched her glabella with a finger, then left her there to ponder alone. He stood up and walked away.
"Uncle, the Immortal Mansion World is so lively!" the little girl called out from behind. "For so many years, Saints from outside this domain have been coming and going, all exploring it. Aren't you going? My friends and I are also going in."
"You go first; I'll follow shortly," Ye Fan replied. He knew the Porcelain Doll wanted to enter but was also afraid of accidents and dearly hoped he would protect them.
Ye Fan's main purpose for coming to the Central Province was to enter the Immortal Mansion World, so he did not refuse. He naturally couldn't decline to look after the descendant of an old friend.
He went to another tavern and saw some familiar faces, presuming them to be cultivators from his generation. This proved true upon conversing with them. After opening up the conversation, when asked, he didn't mind sharing his experiences of recent years with them.
"Brother Ye is now renowned throughout the world," one said, "having slain so many that even Saints from outside this domain dare not act presumptuously. Meanwhile, we have achieved nothing and our cultivation remains shallow; we have truly wasted our years in vain."
"Why speak of such useless things?" another interjected. "Since Brother Ye still remembers us, let's just drink to our heart's content."
After the initial restraint passed, everyone relaxed. Ye Fan learned quite a lot from them, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the turbulent events in the Big Dipper star domain over the past many years.
Years had passed, and the primeval aura within the Immortal Mansion World remained unchanged. Fierce beasts roamed, strange birds appeared, and powerful Saints had even emerged in its depths.
For many years, this world had long been open to outsiders. The ancient races were the first to make trouble, because they heard that the Undying Heavenly Sovereign was buried here, along with his divine will.
Afterwards, Saints from outside this domain descended, realizing that this place might be connected to the ancient path to immortality. One by one, they rushed here to investigate thoroughly.
Over several decades, a continuous stream of powerful figures came and went, uncovering many secrets. However, the deepest parts remained inaccessible; that was a forbidden zone.
"Will Senior Ye come?"
This was a group of young people, six or seven in total, constantly looking back.
"Don't worry, Uncle Ye is here," the Porcelain Doll assured them, as she had heard a hidden voice transmission.
Ye Fan had indeed entered, promising to protect them for three days, after which he would depart.
Apes cried, tigers roared, azure dragons soared through the sky, and giant rocs spread their wings. The creatures in this place had grown increasingly powerful over the years, as changes in the laws of heaven and earth made this place even more suitable for cultivation than the outside world.
On the first day, these young people encountered danger. They were pursued by a centipede a thousand zhang long, which exhaled poisonous gas like clouds and mist, chasing them for thousands of miles. They narrowly escaped disaster.
Ye Fan did not intervene, quietly watching them escape. He would not reveal himself until a critical moment.
Finally, these vibrant young faces understood the dangers. They no longer rushed in recklessly, only training in the outer regions, no longer being overly ambitious.
Three days passed in a flash. Ye Fan appeared and said, "If you wish, I can take you on a trip to the deepest part. But it won't be a trial; it will merely be for you to broaden your horizons."
"Okay!" the group cheered.
Ye Fan walked towards the place where the Undying Heavenly Sovereign's coffin had been. He had already heard that the divine will had vanished. Some said that evil thought had been erased by time, while others said he had escaped.
As for the Undying Heavenly Sovereign's human skin, it was brought back by several ancient imperial families after extensive negotiations with the human race and enshrined in their highest temple.
This place was empty. The ten-thousand-zhang jade platform, with boundless chaos falling like a waterfall, was there, but the Heavenly Sovereign's ancient coffin, human skin, and divine will of the past could no longer be found.
"This is good too," Ye Fan murmured to himself. "Otherwise, if this divine will were to cause trouble, it would always lead to great problems."
If it were truly just an evil thought, that would be one thing. But if it were to regain its true form, calling upon its past life and allowing the true Undying Heavenly Sovereign to awaken, it would be invincible across heaven and earth, sweeping away all living beings.
"The Undying Heavenly Sovereign is too terrifying," Ye Fan sighed lightly. "Even his life and death are almost a mystery."
In the past, the Undying Heavenly Sovereign died and was buried in Purple Mountain; this was known to all races. However, the truth was not so simple. After an unknown number of tens of thousands of years, his coffin reappeared here.
How could one person be buried twice? First buried in Purple Mountain, then laid in a coffin here. There was a time gap between these events, implying that at that time, the Undying Heavenly Sovereign was most likely still alive!
All signs indicated that he had resurrected after being buried in Purple Mountain, his body undergoing Nirvana and reappearing in the world. He then came here to open a path to immortality and break into the Immortal Realm.
Ye Fan left this place and journeyed deeper into the Immortal Mansion World. This space was vast, often spanning tens of thousands of miles, its territory boundless.
"Kill..."
Shouts of battle shook the heavens. In the depths of this pure land, a vast battlefield appeared where not a blade of grass grew, demonic clouds surged, and malevolent energy towered.
This was precisely the place which had stopped countless individuals; nearly all Saints could not pass, blocked by supremely powerful killing intent.
Black mist surged, with killing intent that shocked the ages. In the past, a cataclysmic battle must have occurred here, leaving behind remnants of Great Emperor patterns. The scorched earth showed no signs of life.
Vaguely, many figures could be seen battling within the mist. These were residual images left from the Primeval Era, which had not faded even after countless ages.
It was hard to imagine how terrifying that battle was, where armies transformed into ashes, leaving behind lingering resentment and killing intent imprinted upon this shattered land.
"Undying Heavenly Sovereign!"
Someone roared, their voice shaking heaven and earth. Even after countless ages, it still made one's ears ring; one could imagine how astonishing that roar was then, powerful enough to embolden mountains and rivers.
Ye Fan was stunned. The Porcelain Doll and the others all turned pale, terrified. Although young, they had naturally heard of the ancient emperors, and at this moment, hearing such a fierce roar, their minds and spirits trembled.
"Did he really open a path to immortality here?" Ye Fan murmured to himself, becoming increasingly certain.
He told the children to stay there and not wander off. Then he transformed into a phantom image and began to measure and carefully observe the vast battlefield.
It must have been an immense catastrophe; even Great Emperor array patterns were shattered. Was this caused by forcefully breaking into the path to immortality, or was it the result of a great battle between two ancient emperors?!
Even Ye Fan couldn't be sure. This battlefield was too terrifying. Although most of the laws and resentment had been eroded over time, a small portion still lingered, creating such an imposing atmosphere.
It was precisely because of this that the Saints were blocked here; ninety percent of them couldn't pass. In just a moment, Ye Fan spotted no fewer than eighteen Saints lingering in this area.
There were ancient races and Sages from outside this domain, all of them very powerful, exploring this place.
"How did these few greenhorns get in?" a foreign Saint asked, walking over and seeing the Porcelain Doll and the others, his eyes sinister and gleaming. "Aren't you afraid of dying without a burial ground?"
The powerful aura emanating from the newcomer surged forward, pressing down on the Porcelain Doll and the others, making their bones feel as if they would break. They almost immediately knelt down.
"Do you have a problem?" Ye Fan asked, appearing silently and staring at him coldly.
"You... you're the Human Sacred Body?!" the foreign strongman stammered, stumbling back. He quickly performed a deep bow, then, without a word, hurriedly departed.
The Saints nearby all knew Ye Fan had arrived, which immediately caused a stir of unease. Everyone nodded towards him, but kept their distance respectfully, quickly retreating and giving him space.
Ye Fan did not delay. His body radiated golden light, supporting a golden Sacred Domain. He led the young people into the battlefield and surprisingly passed through it.
This sight stunned many Saints, leaving them wide-eyed.
"Fellow Daoist is indeed no ordinary being,"
As soon as Ye Fan emerged, he saw a familiar face. Great Saint Huntuo, the peacemaker, greeted him with a smile, his face full of kindness.
Looking again, there were several figures on this side of the battlefield, none of whom were weak; surprisingly, they were all Great Saints. They were staring solemnly at the scene before them!
"What is that? Is it a fated immortal?" one person asked, their voice trembling, clearly also a newcomer who did not yet understand the situation here.
