Chapter 1354: Human Emperor

Chapter 1356: The Human Emperor

The divine spirit was incredibly fast, striking through and splattering large amounts of purple blood. The Overlord's body was cut in half, demonstrating immense power. Even the incredibly tough physique of the Heavenly Overlord's lineage couldn't withstand a single blow from the demonic supreme being!

All the powerful figures were stunned, speechless at this outcome. The Overlord was renowned for his boundless might, yet his supposedly indestructible body had been torn apart by the divine spirit.

Dots of purple blood shimmered with divine radiance. The divine spirit leaped, reversing the galaxy and transforming the environment, reaching an immense distance. It looked back warily, seeing the ghost lamp return to Ye Fan's side, burning with supreme Yang flames.

"Ah..." roared the Overlord. The 'Zhe' character secret art activated, reassembling his body. His face was grim, having almost been obliterated by the divine spirit he himself had summoned.

He was naturally unwilling to accept this. From start to finish, it wasn't due to his own lack of strength, yet he had been repeatedly injured. His heart was filled with extreme frustration, wishing he could shatter the universe.

"Holy Body, do you dare to fight me?" the Overlord roared, his black hair flying and his eyes cold and eerie. "I will bind one hand and still kill you!" He craved a bloody battle, to be bathed in the Holy Body's golden blood to cleanse himself of this humiliation.

This region of the starry sky was within the Yang Fish area, naturally filled with pure Yang energy—supremely rigid, powerful, and dazzling. Ye Fan stood above the galaxy, bathed in divine radiance, and calmly stated, "Is that not enough? This battle has already made everything clear."

The young supreme being of the Heavenly Overlord's lineage was covered in blood, his hair standing on end, his eyes wide open with purple light piercing the void. Naturally, he was utterly indignant, but he couldn't approach Ye Fan, separated by an endless array of formations.

"Lunar Emperor, awaken!" He conjured an ancient altar, covered with intricate Dao patterns. It exuded Lunar power and the aura of a peerless supreme being.

Everyone was greatly startled, their bodies grew cold, and they shivered uncontrollably, as if countless steel needles were piercing them. The stinging pain was unbearable. It was an invasion of ultimate Yin, capable of freezing and cracking one's very soul and bones.

"It's really him, the divine spirit of the Ancient Lunar Emperor..." Two old men deep in the starry sky paled in horror, looking at each other in shock.

"Didn't his divine spirit already emerge long ago? It should have been worn away by the passage of time. How could it still exist now and be so powerful?!" Both found it hard to believe.

Such a powerful divine spirit should have originated in more recent antiquity. Who would have thought it was an ancient Human Emperor from endless eons ago?

One of them stared at the altar made of blood soul stones. His expression changed as he said, "Perhaps it's related to these blood soul stones; it resembles an ancient pagoda. It's a Buddhist stupa that has re-gathered that wisp of the Lunar divine spirit!"

The other person's expression also changed as he considered a possibility, his voice trembling: "Is this the result of those supreme beings' experiments!?"

Throughout the mythical era and even now, people have pursued longevity, hoping to achieve immortality. Great Emperor Amitabha and Great Emperor Yuhua from the Middle Ages, among others, made terrifying attempts in this regard; they were masters of this path.

For this purpose, they conducted numerous experiments. To achieve immortality and eternal existence in the world, these supreme beings paid unimaginable prices.

Not to mention their inconceivable experiments on others. Legend has it that Great Emperor Amitabha even built a blood stupa to research ancient gods and demons.

"This blood altar is a stupa built by Great Emperor Amitabha," an old man revealed, "using a secret method to extend the Lunar Emperor's divine spirit, allowing him to observe the Human Emperor's persistent malevolence and glimpse the mysteries of immortality."

The other person nodded, his expression solemn. "Indeed," he said, "Great Emperor Amitabha is unfathomable. He has ventured down this path to a terrifying degree, and it's difficult to know all the attempts he made. But this blood stupa is absolutely real; it is not a fabrication."

At this moment, they could confirm that the figure, devoid of color and resembling an ancient corpse, was indeed the phantom of the Ancient Lunar Emperor—his divine spirit.

They had seen the figure of the Human Emperor, gazing majestically across all directions and dominating the universe, on stone carvings preserved from the Primordial Era.

Of course, that stone carving was far grander than the divine spirit. It truly overlooked heaven and earth, its presence encompassing mountains and rivers, its gaze capable of shattering space-time, uniquely supreme through all ages, utterly incomparable to a mere malevolent thought.

It was a display of transcendent confidence, an invincible posture through all ages. Although merely a carving, it perfectly depicted the Emperor's true form, deserving reverence throughout history.

Alas, even the greatest Human Emperor would eventually decay. The divine spirit born from him should, by common sense, have been worn away by the passage of time, as it was from too distant an era.

The blood stupa flew out, emitting a humming sound. Built from rare blood soul stones, it exuded threads of divine soul power that covered the sky and earth, as if an ancient emperor slept within, causing trails of immortal light to descend, threatening to crush the very universe.

The divine spirit transformed into a beam of light and shot forward. Gray mist surged, emitting astonishing might, and a wisp of supreme aura spread, causing widespread terror.

Its eyes grew even colder, staring intently at Ye Fan as it drove the blood stupa forward, no longer as wary of the human-faced ghost lamp.

Its black cloak flew up, revealing a pale white face that resembled an ancient corpse unearthed after being buried for many years, staring indifferently at everything in the mortal world.

Ye Fan felt immense pressure. The formation beneath his feet rumbled, threatening to collapse. Not only that, he himself was on the verge of shattering into pieces.

He could not tolerate this continuing. All ten of his fingers splayed, each dripping blood that fell onto the golden formation beneath his feet, protecting him.

The forbidden formation created by Wu Yi, the Fourth Generation Origin Heaven Ancestor, could multiply the ancient formation's power several times by burning sacred blood. Golden divine patterns spread across it, becoming increasingly brilliant.

At the same time, Ye Fan's blood also flowed towards the human-faced ghost lamp, helping the flames grow stronger. What was burning there was the essence, or even the fat, of ancient saints, and his golden blood proved equally effective in fueling it.

However, once the blood stupa appeared, the Lunar Emperor's divine spirit seemed truly fearless. Although scorched by the bronze lamp, causing not just wisps of Yin mist but actual explosions, it still pressed forward unswervingly.

The situation became extremely critical. Ye Fan's body began to crack, and large swaths of gray mist invaded, causing his flesh and blood to slough off, revealing his stark white bones.

If this continued, he would be reduced to a blood-stained skeleton, his primordial spirit dissolving. He would surely die!

"The disparity in strength is too great," one of the old men said. "Even if he possesses ancient artifacts suspected to be left by Celestial Venerable Lingbao, it's difficult to suppress such a powerful divine spirit."

"What exactly did Great Emperor Amitabha do?" the other added. "It truly makes later generations fear, to have the Lunar Human Emperor's divine spirit persist until now!"

The two old men deep in the starry sky whispered. They could no longer stand by; having made their worst-case preparations, they were about to intervene.

Ye Fan let out a Daoist roar; he naturally wouldn't wait for death. The cauldron above his head floated and sank, emitting a huge rumble. All the marks left by the lightning tribulations it had endured since its creation lit up, as if the heavenly tribulation itself were truly reappearing.

Moreover, from the mouth of the cauldron, divine rivers flowed out and cascaded down like majestic waterfalls, shielding Ye Fan beneath them.

"What is this?" the powerful figures exclaimed, their expressions changing.

People heard the roars of the common people, as if hundreds of millions were devoutly praying, their voices echoing throughout the universe. This was a vast power of faith.

Ye Fan had established the Heavenly Court on Earth, and his registered disciple, Zhang Qingyang, had carried the cauldron on his behalf throughout the world, collecting the faith power of believers. This merged and transformed into the purest form of belief.

At this moment, it cascaded down like a divine waterfall, flowing from the various patterns on the inner wall of the cauldron. Vast and unceasing, it resonated with all living beings.

For many years, Ye Fan had not utilized this power, believing it was not his own and would become a hindrance to his future development.

Unexpectedly, it was now put to use. As he chanted scriptures, mobilizing these pure powers of faith, all living beings seemed to be chanting the "Scripture of Salvation for Humanity" along with him. His divine power instantly increased by an unknown number of times.

At the same time, the sky was densely filled with figures, as if countless gods and demons were simultaneously letting out Daoist roars, shaking the divine spirit backward.

"Chant it ten times, the heavens sing from afar, ten thousand emperors offer rites, rivers and seas fall silent, mountains hide their clouds..." Ye Fan chanted the scripture.

All the powerful figures were astonished. The complete Scripture of Salvation for Humanity indeed possessed the wonders of creation. The lines "the heavens sing from afar, ten thousand emperors offer rites" seemed to align with what they were witnessing.

Behind Ye Fan, countless phantom figures of gods and demons appeared, along with the Dharma manifestations of all living beings. They chanted with him, shaking the starry sky.

The gray mist was dispersed, and golden flesh and blood regenerated on his skeleton. The formation beneath his feet stabilized, and the suspended human-faced ghost lamp shone with dazzling light, its power greatly increased.

Moreover, people under the starry sky were surprised to find themselves drawn into a rhythm, many unable to resist chanting scriptures and singing along.

As time passed, more and more people joined in, chanting together, as if an inexplicable power was being drawn from the entire heaven and earth.

This was an unimaginable divine power, with no shortage of saints among those chanting. What could such a vast chanting multitude not save or convert?

The Mother Qi Cauldron of All Things roared, and ten thousand divine waterfalls cascaded down. Ye Fan sat cross-legged beneath, chanting the Celestial Venerable's scriptures. Gods and demons were boundless, all living beings resonated, and the powerful figures felt it. The Scripture of Salvation for Humanity echoed throughout the star domain, capable of dissipating all Yin spirits.

The Lunar Emperor's divine spirit had already stopped, leaving the blood altar. Threads of dark light emanated from its entire body, and the gray mist was completely evaporated.

It continuously blurred until it was about to disappear.

Then, an extremely grand supreme aura pierced through the past, present, and future, erupting in an instant!

At the moment the blurred figure was on the verge of collapsing, a majestic and imposing body appeared, looking down upon the world, replacing it, and flowing with the power of eons.

Under the entire starry sky, all the saints trembled and knelt down. Even the Dao protectors on the ancient path—peerless Great Saints—prostrated themselves.

This was not a voluntary act; it was a submission and worship originating from the very depths of their souls.

The Human Emperor reappeared!

After eons, the Lunar Emperor's malevolent thought was dispelled by Ye Fan, using an ancient formation, the Celestial Venerable's Dao artifact, the saints of the starry sky, and the collective power of living beings' faith. Unexpectedly, his true spiritual will instantly revived and manifested in the mortal world.

He could not exist permanently, but this invincible posture, even for a single breath, was enough to shock all of antiquity, the present, and the future.

This was merely a phantom of him, not his true body, containing only a portion of his true spiritual will. Yet, even this was profoundly astounding.

"On the path to immortality, encountering unforeseen changes, holding regrets, persistent obsessions..." Although it was just a faint sigh, it instantly spread throughout the entire starry sky, causing everyone to tremble, their souls to resonate, and to prostrate themselves in worship.
