Chapter 1346: The Overlord Arrives

Qitian City stands majestic and towering, nestled deep within mountains and wilderness. Its city walls are covered with axe marks and arrow holes, bearing even the claw marks left by primeval fierce beasts. It resembles a living history book, recounting countless events from the past.

All around, ape cries and tiger roars echoed, and exotic wild beasts roamed. Mountain ranges coiled like ancient dragons, forming dense primeval forests.

Qitian City and the surrounding wilderness were not located on a planet. This was a vibrant continent floating in space, with towering mountains, bathed in the pouring starlight that made it appear mysterious and ancient, as if it had existed for eons.

A long roar shook the heavens, causing many mountain peaks to collapse. A figure tore through the void, rushing towards Qitian City. Its mighty physique seemed forged from molten iron, powerful and robust, possessing a metallic sheen.

Wherever he passed, the void twisted, mountains crumbled, ancient trees shattered, and boulders exploded. He was like a god of destruction, annihilating everything in his path, nothing able to impede his steps.

"The Overlord is here!" someone in Qitian City exclaimed in alarm. The overwhelming tremors were terrifying, like a vast ocean crashing down, causing the ancient city to shake violently.

"It truly is the Overlord, and he's incredibly fast!" Some people in the city felt a chill run through them, oppressed by a formidable aura that made them almost convulse.

Suddenly, within Qitian City, demonic energy soared from an ancient mountain. Endless divine light pierced through the heavens, as an ancient Demonic Emperor's Hall emerged, majestic and grand, like an ancient Heavenly Court.

A Dharma Idol materialized, reaching the Nine Heavens above and intimidating the Nine Nethers below. It formed out of thin air, standing tall in the mortal realm. Its black hair cascaded like a waterfall, and in its eyes, suns and moons rose and set, galaxies emerged and vanished, as if a demonic god had descended.

"Are you Nan Yao? Those who dare to block me shall die!" Outside the ancient city, a majestic voice resounded, filled with an oppressive, indescribable, and absolute dominance that no one could defy.

The Overlord had arrived, having come from the depths of space. His path to the Fiftieth Human City for a decisive battle with the Sacred Body would inevitably pass through this place, and he intended to slay Nan Yao as he passed by.

Inside an ancient building on a mountain within the city, a woman of devastating beauty looked at her elder brother with nervousness and asked, "Are you really going to fight him?"

It was Nan Yao and his sister, who had previously provoked the Overlord.

Nan Yao, like a deity from the mythical era, had his hair loose and his skin was bronze. His physique was as robust as a dragon, and his eyes emitted terrifying light as he stared out of the city.

"You shall not go out."

Just then, an ancient voice was heard. In an ancient hall, an old man with snow-white hair, a withered body, and deep wrinkles opened his eyes. They were like two flashes of lightning, his eyes as astonishing as golden lamps. Despite his old age, he was full of vigor and vitality.

As soon as he finished speaking, a powerful tremor spread throughout the ancient mountain. Demonic energy permeated the area, and the demonic god Dharma Idol, which reached the Nine Heavens above and intimidated the Nine Nethers below, was forcibly retracted as the mountain was sealed.

This was an ancient demon of immeasurable strength, incredibly powerful and unfathomable. He had come to the Human Ancient Road for discussions, and unexpectedly discovered Nan Yao and his sister, intending to take them with him.

Nan Yao remained silent, staring at the edge of the sky, where an unparalleled Overlord stood, radiating overwhelming might that swept over Qitian City.

"Your current cultivation level is insufficient; you cannot fight him," the ancient demon, seated cross-legged in the hall, said with his eyes closed, forbidding Nan Yao from leaving the city.

"I just want to launch one attack," Nan Yao said.

The ancient demon still shook his head. Although not in the same hall, he seemed able to perceive everything, even the minds of others. He said, "Those with the Tyrant Blood of the Heavens flowing within them are not easily dealt with. Back then, even a quasi-Emperor of the demon race fell when fighting at the same cultivation level."

"I want to unleash the Ancient Art of Heavenly Transformation," the demonic god said.

The ancient demon fell silent upon hearing this, seemingly contemplating, saying nothing for a long time.

Suddenly, a strange fluctuation emanated from the ancient city. Two figures shot into the sky, flying out of the city and into the desolate mountains and wilderness, intending to confront the Overlord head-on.

These were powerful demon cultivators from another realm who had arrived on the Human Ancient Road with the ancient demon. Their combat power was terrifying. In recent days, they had harbored animosity towards Nan Yao because the ancient demon held him in too high regard. These two were unparalleled geniuses on the demon race's ancient path, with higher cultivation levels than Nan Yao, and had accompanied their clan's great master on a visit to the human race. Yet now, they were not as highly esteemed. They wanted to prove themselves by challenging the Human Overlord and slaying him.

Both at the Saint King realm, they possessed absolute confidence, having never tasted defeat, and had been invincible on the ancient starry road.

"Come back!" the ancient demon roared, surprised that these two had acted on their own.

Unfortunately, the two did not return. They firmly believed they were stronger and were the chosen prodigies worthy of the demon race's great master, and they wanted to prove themselves on the Human Ancient Road.

In fact, these two demon prodigies were indeed true geniuses, rare in many star fields; otherwise, they would not have remained undefeated.

One of them, with a single roar, unleashed a celestial river, vast and white, a terrifying sight. He had refined numerous stellar river divine sands into a supreme treasure, a divine material that would make even a Great Saint envious.

Let alone anything else, just this astonishing divine material alone was enough to illustrate the point.

Moreover, the brilliance of the killing light was indeed terrifying. The celestial river spanned the sky, piercing through outer domains, borrowing the power of all heavenly stars, becoming a perpetual radiance.

"Does a mere grain of sand dare to shine?!" the Overlord sneered. He stood like a demonic mountain, majestic and unmoving. Only when the celestial river struck did he let out a roar.

This was like an apocalyptic disaster, sweeping across the land and causing mountains to crumble. The stars seemed to tremble. The celestial river filling the sky disintegrated, shattered by the Overlord's roar, its iridescent light dissipating in wisps into the void.

"Ah..."

At the same time, this demon genius let out a miserable shriek, his body torn and covered in blood, almost completely shattered.

"Buzz!"

The other demon genius also attacked, almost simultaneously. A jade gourd transformed into a mountain, its mouth like a black hole, intending to swallow the Overlord.

The jade gourd was crystalline and translucent, radiating brilliance. It was indeed a rare treasure, emitting dazzling light.

The Overlord snorted coldly. He paid no mind to the Saint King's magical artifact, charging towards the black hole-like mouth of the gourd, extending his arm and unleashing his domineering fist, releasing an immortal radiance.

The gourd's mouth was like a giant vortex, trying to swallow the Overlord. However, his fist was too hard, striking the gourd's wall with a crisp crack.

This immortal Saint King grade gourd, forged from Azure Sky Divine Jade of the Nine Heavens, shattered into pieces. It could not withstand his physical body and was directly blown apart, showcasing his unparalleled divine bravery.

The gourd's owner's body cracked, and threads of blood seeped out. He swayed, nearly being cut down, and was sent flying.

"You mere demon remnants, dare you try to stop me? You're too weak to even withstand a single blow. Anyone who dares to appear before me will be utterly annihilated," the Overlord said chillingly.

The events unfolded too suddenly. Two rare geniuses were severely wounded in a single encounter, having absolutely no means to resist. It was truly astonishing. Boom!

The Overlord attacked, causing heaven and earth to collapse. There was simply a world of difference between him and those two. The two rapidly retreated under the shadow of his domineering fist, but were still grazed.

With two muffled sounds, their bodies were half-destroyed, almost crippled and unable to resist the Overlord. Blood stained the sky.

"Enough."

Inside Qitian City, the demon race's great master snorted coldly. He extended a large hand forward, intending to stop the Overlord from harming the two.

"Fellow Daoist, this is the Human Ancient Road," a clear, cold voice suddenly emerged from the depths of space, seeming to express some dissatisfaction. A colossal cauldron appeared, piercing through the universe, meeting the large hand and blocking its path.

With a deafening roar, like heaven and earth colliding, Yin and Yang clashed wildly, and chaotic mists dispersed. This terrifying confrontation was a battle between Great Saints.

"What? The Overlord has the support of a human protector! No wonder he could bypass the other protectors and make it all the way here." Many in the city were alarmed.

This was a very clear signal that someone among the human protectors was siding with the Overlord, showing favoritism and not preventing him from slaying the Sacred Body. The consequences would be severe.

The Overlord was extremely strong and utterly fearless. Even when facing the demon race's great master, he did not flinch. With an open-mouthed inhale, the two demon powerhouses instantly shrunk and were swallowed by him.

Blood splattered. It was a cruel sight as he simply devoured the two demon geniuses, leaving nothing behind.

Silence fell upon Qitian City!

"I have no intention of assisting the Tyrant Bloodline of the Heavens. However, I also cannot tolerate a demon race great master acting on my race's ancient path," the human protector's voice echoed through space.

Yet, who could believe him? He was definitely protecting the Tyrant Body, which, upon closer thought, meant supporting the Tyrant Body in slaying the Sacred Body.

"This is terrifying, what immense power!" people exclaimed. "He actually devoured two Saint Kings! And it's said they were two geniuses of the demon race!"

People were shocked. The prodigies who had come with the demon race's great master were naturally extraordinary, but they were devoured whole by the Overlord. A trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth sent shivers down people's spines.

The ancient demon charged out, disappearing into the depths of space. The colossal cauldron trembled and also departed, as the two protectors confronted each other.

And at this very moment, Nan Yao shot into the sky, his black hair loose, his physique robust as a dragon, glowing with a bronze luster, and emitting an aura like a demonic god.

"Brother!" Qi Huoshui shrieked from behind.

"Just from the Buried Emperor Star, yet you dare to claim dominance? I will slaughter you all!" the Overlord said coldly.

"Clang!" "Clang!"...

Dozens to hundreds of strange and rare materials appeared, such as Emperor Blood Soil, Divine Phoenix Stone, and Demonic God Wood. They densely arrayed, forming an ancient formation which swallowed this piece of heaven and earth.

"This is... such terrifying demonic power!" Everyone in the city felt their hearts pound, filled with immense dread, and many instantly prostrated themselves.

This was an ancient formation, inscribed in imitation of the legendary Demonic Emperor's Formation. The true formation diagram of the Demonic Emperor had long been lost in this era, but even this restored, incomplete Dao pattern was terrifying.

The unparalleled Overlord struck left and right, like a true dragon, shattering the sky and tearing apart the continent below, as if ushering in an apocalypse.

This incomplete corner of the formation, imitating the Demonic Emperor's diagram, exerted immense power. It could crush anything, capable of refining even peak Saint Kings into a pool of putrid blood, its divine might truly awe-inspiring the world.

"Boom!"

Dozens to hundreds of rare formation materials—such as Emperor Blood Soil, Divine Phoenix Stone, and Demonic God Wood—all glowed. They trapped the Overlord, intending to grind him into oblivion. Then, shattering the sky, the killing formation enveloped the Overlord and carried him into a dimensional space.

In the city, a stunned silence fell. The magnificent Overlord, astonishingly invincible among his peers, an unparalleled heaven's chosen, was actually suppressed and forced into a formation, his whereabouts unknown. This left people utterly shaken.

"Brother!" Qi Huoshui's face lit up with joy. She had never imagined that Nan Yao could suppress the Overlord of the Tyrant Bloodline of the Heavens.

Everyone was astonished and shaken. Only Nan Yao himself frowned, sighing softly, "With so many precious divine materials for the formation, it can only suppress him for three days at most."

In fact, only two days passed when a loud bang resounded, and a large portion of cosmic space collapsed. A god-like demonic being burst forth from that spot; the Overlord had broken out.

The demonic god sighed softly, saying, "My cultivation level is not as high as his. Even if I used the Ancient Art of Heavenly Transformation, I would likely not be able to withstand him."

"People from the Buried Emperor Star are nothing special," the Overlord said indifferently. "I will utterly annihilate you!"

However, his expression quickly changed, because three powerful fluctuations appeared—from the demon race's great master and two human protectors—posing a great deterrent to him.

The Overlord cast a cold glance back and instantly vanished. His body emitted a faint light and disappeared directly, having actually pierced through the universe.

He possessed a magical artifact comparable to a Divine Light Platform, but no one knew exactly what it was.

"How astounding! There seems to be the aura of a divine thought in his magical artifact!" the ancient demon finally concluded.

Divine thoughts, it was rumored, were a form of malevolent thought born after the death of deities. In fact, they were mostly malevolent thoughts that evolved after the death of ancient Great Emperors.

The aura of a divine thought within the Overlord's secret artifact was truly chilling.

Two human protectors appeared here, along with a demon race great master. This was truly a grand spectacle, and the auras they emitted were suffocating.

"It's getting more and more complicated," they murmured. "He obtained an ancient treasure left by a divine thought!"

After reaching this conclusion, even the protectors were alarmed. The terrifying power of the artifact was one aspect, but the involvement of the enigmatic entity known as divine thought undoubtedly related to deceased Great Emperors, making it hard to tell if this was a blessing or a curse.

"Intercept him at the Fiftieth Human City."

"No, let's observe for now."

"You want him to kill the Sacred Body, don't you? I know you're biased towards the Tyrant Bloodline of the Heavens!"

"Boom!"

At the Fiftieth Human City, the sky shattered open, and a god-like demonic black figure rushed out. He then opened a jar-shaped artifact, from which a purple Kirin galloped forth, its terrifying aura soaring to the heavens.

This entire star domain vibrated, rumbling loudly.

Upon closer inspection, this purple creature was vastly different from ordinary Kirin beasts. Its scales were crystalline and flawless, and its power made one tremble.

The purity of its bloodline and the depth of its cultivation made it worthy of being called the King of Beasts, and it was the future supreme beast.

The Overlord sat upon the purple Kirin, holding a blood-red spear, like a demonic god from the underworld, his entire being exuding overwhelming might.

"Sacred Body, I have come! Come forth and die!"

His words thundered, causing the Fiftieth Human City to shake violently, as if it would shatter, along with the surrounding star domain, which trembled and shuddered.
