The purple blood transformed into a figure with an imposing physique and an unparalleled domineering aura. He stood there like a towering mountain, his wild hair flying, his eyes cold, radiating an air of supreme arrogance.
Ye Fan had never truly met this person, but he had seen him through someone's spiritual perception, as this person had left an incredibly deep and unforgettable impression on them.
Many years ago, there was a young man, full of vigor and talent, who astonished an entire region. He was unrivaled among his peers in that ancient land of life, hailed as the foremost prodigy of his generation. With dreams and ambitions to conquer the world, he embarked alone on the ancient starry road.
He bravely advanced all the way, fighting his way alone to the Holy City on the Human Race's ancient road. Even when encountering numerous exceptional individuals from various star domains, he stood out prominently, ranking among the strongest.
His talent was exceptionally high, rare among this group of trial-takers. Even the Emissaries praised him, stating that given time, he would undoubtedly become a respected master of a region and a paramount expert of the human race.
Unfortunately, such a brilliant talent had not yet fully blossomed but withered away prematurely. In the Human Race's Second City, he encountered someone he should not have.
A multitude of heroes contended fiercely, striving for supremacy. Within an ancient dao field, he fought a bloody path, carving out his own dominion, then sat cross-legged on an ancient cliff, quietly comprehending the Great Dao.
But then, a terrible event occurred. He faced the greatest setback of his life when a single figure on horseback trampled the sky, emanating an unparalleled domineering aura. With just one spear thrust, it impaled both him and his steed to the vast ancient land, leaving them covered in blood.
That lone rider did not stop for a moment, but ascended the heavens, shattered the ancient dao field which was said to be indestructible, and charged alone into the outer regions, like a divine demon. Such was the overwhelming display of domineering power.
He was chilled to the bone. Though he miraculously survived, the fire in his heart was extinguished. From then on, the vibrant young man became dejected and radical.
Over a decade later, he mustered his courage and once again embarked on the ancient road. Unfortunately, he tragically encountered another person, and the same tragedy unfolded: he was impaled to the ground by a single spear, his blood staining the earth red and extinguishing the last glimmer of hope in his heart.
From then on, the Human Race's Second City gained an old soldier, who would often gaze at the ancient starry road at night, his desolate silhouette radiating profound sorrow.
His name was Guan Cheng.
Over twenty years ago, Ye Fan had impaled Guan Cheng to the ground with a single spear thrust. From the splattered blood and from the fluctuations in Guan Cheng's spiritual consciousness, Ye Fan had seen a man with an awe-inspiring presence. This was the very person standing before him now.
"The one who made Guan Cheng lose heart and become dejected was the Hegemon Body..." Ye Fan murmured to himself.
He hadn't realized that he had seen his fated rival many years ago. He had never known this person's origin. The ancient road had been severed for over twenty years, and only today was it revealed.
All the past events flashed through his mind.
Ahead, the transformed purple blood, with terrible fluctuations, opened its eyes, its essence qi soaring into the sky, burning fiercely like two blazing torches.
It actually possessed a wisp of consciousness, which highlighted the terrifying nature of this blood!
This was a Hegemon Body blood avatar. Back then, when he passed through this place, he left a jar of pure purple blood for the descendants of the Heavenly Hegemon Bloodline, its divine essence remaining undissipated and indestructible.
The golden blood within Ye Fan's body became restless; naturally antagonistic, it reacted upon first sight, almost boiling.
"Roar..."
The purple blood avatar opposite actually let out a roar, shaking the entire desolate ancient land. Boulders rolled down dozens of broken mountains, rumbling loudly.
It took a step forward and attacked. This was an instinct, born of its innate hostility towards anyone with golden blood flowing within them.
"No matter how powerful you are, you are merely a blood avatar now. To be so arrogant and domineering, I will subdue you." Ye Fan sneered. He extended a large hand and slammed it down fiercely. A brilliant golden light erupted, covering the blood avatar.
Purple blood splattered as Ye Fan directly annihilated it. If a Saint of the Eighth Heaven couldn't even instantly suppress a mere blood avatar, then there would be no need for him to face his fated rival.
The purple blood was incredibly vibrant. Every drop, every wisp, was filled with divinity. It splattered onto the rocks and seeped into the soil, radiating a precious glow, making the entire area shimmer with crystal-like purple mist.
Ye Fan took out a jade jar, and employing the 'Bing' character secret art, he collected all the scattered blood into it. He then carefully observed and studied its bloodline power.
This was domineering blood, containing a mysterious power. It could be considered a potent human medicine, and was supremely valuable to many.
Unfortunately, Ye Fan could not use it, nor could he refine it. His own blood was naturally antagonistic to this purple blood. When he tried to fuse a drop of golden blood with a drop of purple blood, both burned away completely.
"Uncle, what's this jar of purple blood for?" Yang Xi asked, blinking her big eyes.
"To feed horses, to feed dragons, to feed bears..." Ye Fan replied.
The ancient land of the Cang Clan was riddled with devastation, becoming a vast wasteland; it had lost its former solemnity and magnificence.
"Don't you dare be complacent!" a primordial spirit roared, filled with unwillingness. "The one with true Heavenly Hegemon blood flowing within him will not let you go! He will surely return from the starry sky to kill you, just as he did over a hundred thousand years ago, slaying the Human Race Saint Body in the Fiftieth City of the Human Race!"
"Noisy!" Ye Fan flicked his finger, almost reducing it to ashes.
The primordial spirits of the two Saint Kings were completely imprisoned. Ye Fan continued his exploration, wanting to uncover the unknown secrets of ancient times.
Unfortunately, the era was too ancient, and many past events had been obliterated. They were merely descendants of the Heavenly Hegemon Bloodline, and could no longer be considered true inhabitants of that ancient star.
"Countless ages ago," one primordial spirit revealed, "the Hegemon Body lineage produced a supreme being who killed several Quasi-Emperors in the universe, claiming invincibility under the starry sky and on the verge of becoming a Great Emperor. Hmm, but was killed by a Great Accomplishment Saint Body..."
Ye Fan, witnessing this secret, his body trembled. "What era was this?" he wondered. "Was it the Primordial Era, or an even more ancient period? I've never heard of it."
It was extremely difficult, almost impossible, for a Hegemon Body to achieve enlightenment and become an Emperor. Yet, one supreme being finally emerged who might have taken that final step, but was instead killed by their fated rival.
"That supreme Saint Body also died!" one of the Saint King's primordial spirits roared. "He failed to achieve enlightenment and perished in the universe..."
"The Saint Body lineage is a thing of the past!" another Saint King yelled. "Even their home star no longer exists!"
Ye Fan ignored them and continued to explore their sea of consciousness. He observed personally and was startled; the grievances between the two clans were ancient, traceable all the way back to the Mythical Era!
Furthermore, it even involved the War of the Ancient Heavenly Court.
Unfortunately, it was too distant an era for these two to fully comprehend. There were only vague legends, suggesting involvement in the great war of that era.
Ye Fan pondered. These revelations were too astonishing. No wonder those with Heavenly Hegemon blood harbored such deep hatred for the Human Race Saint Body; this animosity was ancient, etched into their very bones and blood.
"Let me see what's special about your clan's ancient scriptures and how you temper yourselves," Ye Fan said. Hearing this, the two immediately roared in anger and struggled fiercely.
However, once in Ye Fan's hands, how could they possibly resist? They were suppressed instantly.
Unfortunately, Ye Fan was disappointed. Many tens of thousands of years ago, a person with the Heavenly Hegemon Blood Body had come to this place and reclaimed the already incomplete ancient scriptures that they possessed.
Over long ages, more than one Hegemon Body had embarked on the ancient starry road. The Human Race's Fiftieth Pass was an exceptionally special place, and scriptures circulating outside were easily coveted.
Currently, the descendants of the Heavenly Hegemon Bloodline no longer cultivated their ancestors' scriptures, but rather another lineage of sacred techniques.
Ye Fan sighed and shook his head. Currently, Saint-level dao lineages held little attraction for him. Only the profound principles of ancient Great Emperors could stir his heart.
However, he did obtain some valuable information: the Hegemon Body's physical body was extremely powerful, capable of contending with a Saint Body, and Hegemon Blood was the supreme treasure blood of the Mythical Era.
From afar, many spiritual senses probed, but none dared to approach a single step. On this ancient star, the Cang family was the strongest clan, while other inheritances were suppressed by the Great Dao. Now that the clan was severely weakened, other forces were naturally terrified and trembling.
Ye Fan explored their seas of consciousness, gaining much valuable information. He then gave them a quick end, with a single palm strike reducing them to ashes.
He stood there, silently pondering for a long time. During this time, the little rascal remained quiet, sitting alone on a bluestone with his chin in his hand, not disturbing him.
In the distance, numerous powerful individuals silently retreated, not daring to approach, filled with profound dread.
After an unknown period of time, Ye Fan recovered and smiled at the little rascal, saying, "Are you hungry?"
"A little," Yang Xi replied.
"Would you like to go inside my Mother Qi Cauldron and take a look, and have a big meal there?" Ye Fan asked.
"Okay!" The little one was very excited, filled with anticipation. With a flash of light, he was taken inside.
Ye Fan observed this desolate land, employing his Origin Art, his gaze piercing deep into the earth. He began to investigate the Origin Heaven Divine Formation.
This place was very peculiar. How could it possess such formation patterns? It was almost inconceivable. They must have appeared on this ancient star even before the Cang Clan, with a very long history.
He was very cautious. After observing the terrain for a long time, he then stepped deeper into the earth to trace the great earth veins, wanting to understand everything clearly.
"These..." Ye Fan was greatly astonished underground. He saw vast stretches of Origin Heaven patterns carved onto the primordial dragon veins, complex and profound.
These traces had existed for at least tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of years!
Large sections of the patterns had faded, worn away by the power of time. Especially since these ancient formations were recently activated, instantly erupting, most of the remaining Dao patterns were almost ruined.
This made Ye Fan's mind race with thoughts. Origin Heaven patterns from hundreds of thousands to millions of years ago – this was truly too astonishing, almost surreal!
One must know that the first generation Origin Heaven Grandmaster of the Eastern Wasteland appeared only around a hundred thousand years ago, shining brightly in the Post-Archaic Era!
This place, these ancient formations, could be products of the Primordial Era, or even older. How could that not be astonishing?
The Origin Heaven Book was cast from a special silver metal, its creation date unknown. It was rumored that even the first Grandmaster cultivated based on it.
Unfortunately, Ye Fan had long since returned it to Old Man Zhang. Otherwise, he could have taken it out now for a look, to see if it could resonate with the patterns here.
"So, it originated from the starry sky, not an ancient art created in the Eastern Wasteland..." Ye Fan muttered to himself.
He carefully examined the underground area. Apart from the faded ancient formation patterns, he found no other special discoveries, nor did anything ominous happen to his body.
"Is it because the ancient formations are destroyed, having lost a demonic power, that they no longer significantly affect me?" he wondered. "No, that's not right. There must have been something special that was just destroyed."
He searched again and finally discovered a human-shaped pile of ash. The area felt eerie and strange.
Ye Fan stayed on this planet for three days, traversing deep into its earth. He discovered more relics, all of them ancient Origin Heaven formations that were nearly obliterated to the point of invisibility.
Finally, he left the underground, soared into the sky, and entered the starry expanse, silently pondering as he gazed at the ancient star below.
Suddenly, Ye Fan's body trembled as if he had recalled something. He looked towards another ancient life-bearing star in the distance, the ancient land where Yang Xi and others lived.
"What a grand scheme!" Ye Fan exclaimed. "Origin Heaven Masters of the Eastern Wasteland can control mountains and terrains, but the supreme experts in the starry sky are manipulating stars!"
Ye Fan cried out in surprise. He had not been this shocked in many years. His discoveries deep underground were merely the tip of the iceberg; the true secret lay in the arrangement of this starry sky.
Two ancient life-bearing stars, two sources of life, were artificially arranged. At specific moments, this part of the starry sky would form a regular and mysterious pattern!
