Chapter 1271: 元磁 Immortal Cave

The mountains and rivers were magnificent, and the spiritual energy was so dense it could not dissipate. Ye Fan truly felt the preciousness of this training ground. Besides fierce birds and beasts roaming the land and ancient medicines everywhere, there were also many spiritual lands.

As he walked, he saw many valuable cultivation spots, filled with surging auspicious energy, making them extremely suitable for cultivation. There were also some colorful lakes, enveloped in auspicious mist, which could be called spiritual lakes, exuding vital essence. These were all rare divine lands. He even witnessed the evolution of origin stones; in some specific places, the vital essence of heaven and earth was so rich it liquefied, forming transparent and shining crystals.

Ye Fan had been deep within the Primordial Training Ground for over half a month, cultivating and comprehending the Dao. He had not encountered any opponents; only the Dragon-Horse followed behind him, also immersed in a wonderful state.

"It's time to go and see," he thought.

He rode the Dragon-Horse, soaring into the sky, treading on auspicious clouds, and galloping across the firmament. The rumbling sounds made all powerful exotic beasts in the ancient spiritual mountains dare not show themselves.

A cry rang out. A Golden Crow and a Flood Dragon were locked in a struggle, competing for a Blood Phoenix Vine. This ancient vine, crimson and clear like agate, was not thick or long, only about a dozen feet, and shaped like an immortal phoenix spreading its wings. Its presence had sparked a bloody battle between beast kings.

"This place is truly extraordinary, to have something like this," the Dragon-Horse commented. "Legend says that the essence and blood left behind by immortal spirits in the world can give birth to unusual plants and ancient medicines. This must be one such precious vine."

Following the principle of "when snipe and clam fight, the fisherman benefits," the Dragon-Horse suddenly charged in and snatched the Blood Phoenix Vine. It bit it down in one gulp, as if a cow chewing a peony, immediately causing red light to shimmer all over its body and vital essence to erupt, almost tearing it apart.

They traversed tens of thousands of miles across the sky, arriving at a tranquil place. Ahead, they saw dazzling light where a woman was seated cross-legged in a pool about ten feet wide, surrounded by strands of sacred radiance.

"This is... Dragon Saliva Liquid," Ye Fan said, surprised.

The spiritual pool was small, only about ten feet wide. Inside, vital essence steamed, shimmering with colorful light. All around, spiritual herbs were everywhere, and ancient medicines grew. The gurgling liquid in the pool was the essence exhaled by the head of an earth vein dragon, a rare and precious liquid nurtured by the earth.

Mu Guanghan sat within it, the precious liquid soaking her clothes. Her exquisite, jade-like body was faintly visible, her curves captivating. Her cloud-like hair was smooth and soft, cascading over her snow-white neck. She closed her eyes, bathing in the Dragon Saliva Liquid, becoming one with the underground ley lines and the entire stretch of mountains and rivers. A vast power surged within her.

"This girl has truly great fortune, to obtain such a treasure land for comprehending the Dao; it'll achieve twice the result with half the effort," the Dragon-Horse said, looking eager to try and ambush her.

But in the end, they did not act. Mu Guanghan had not provoked them, and they did not want to causelessly destroy someone's foundation. Comprehending their own Dao was paramount, as they only had one month, and every minute spent in such a wonderful place was precious.

"Amitabha..." In the depths of another mountain range, Buddhist chants boomed like thunder. That place became a golden world as various Buddhist lights flowed, engulfing the entire mountain range and ancient land.

Kutuo was cultivating, almost transforming a spiritual mountain into a boundless Buddhist nation. In the sky, three thousand ancient Buddhas were chanting, shaking the earth.

"What is this monk doing?" the Dragon-Horse asked, surprised.

"He is opening up a Void Buddhist Nation," Ye Fan replied, moved.

Ancient Bodhisattvas and ancient Buddhas transformed into golden figures, surrounding Kutuo and revolving around him in a mysterious and grand manner.

"The mountain split open, and a small temple appeared!" the Dragon-Horse exclaimed, its eyes wide.

The majestic mountain ahead developed cracks, and an ancient temple rose up, emitting ten thousand beams of light that illuminated all directions. Faintly, the ethereal image of a great Buddha could be seen seated within.

"The fluctuations inside the temple are so powerful; this is a legacy," Ye Fan said, squinting his eyes. Standing some distance away, he did not leave.

The small temple absorbed Kutuo. The golden radiance almost liquefied, covering the entire area. Then, with a flash of intense light, everything vanished. The ancient temple, the chanting, the three thousand Bodhisattvas and Buddhas – all vanished completely.

"This bald monk has a considerable background. We couldn't break in; that small temple is definitely a divine treasure," the Dragon-Horse said, its eyes filled with longing.

"That's Buddhist stuff; it likely requires special incantations to open," Ye Fan said, feeling no lingering regret. He turned and left, having roughly understood what kind of world this was – one with endless natural treasures and boundless opportunities. No wonder Yan Chifeng had been following up for so many years; there were truly too many wonders here.

Ye Fan landed on the ground, no longer searching. He focused on comprehending the Dao and cultivating himself, walking on foot. He was adjusting his state, preparing to break through the restrictions of this world to see what lay beyond. Because this was not an ancient star of life; it seemed like a closed world, and he didn't know what the external situation was like.

After walking like this for several days, Ye Fan met an acquaintance, Rui Wei, who was collecting various spiritual essences of heaven and earth. Rui Wei was very happy to see him.

"This is truly a good place," Rui Wei said. "If I could bring my clansmen here to live, it would be like entering paradise."

Rui Wei could only think this way. The Primordial Training Ground, as a trial ground, could never be opened for outsiders to reside in; the matters here were of great importance.

"Have you seen any special places?" Ye Fan asked.

Rui Wei replied, "There are a few forbidden zones, extremely dangerous. Ordinary people wouldn't dare enter, especially a Xuan Magnetic Land, which is the most terrifying. If you have any metal weapons, your body will inevitably be torn apart."

"Where is it?" the Dragon-Horse immediately interjected.

Ye Fan also felt a stir. He had a profound technique he needed to master, which could not be achieved without divine magnetic force. He needed to use it for tempering to achieve perfect completion.

"It's not far from here, truly a perilous place," Rui Wei said with a pale face. "I saw some people shatter the moment they approached, let alone venturing deep inside."

"I'll go take a look," Ye Fan said.

Rui Wei reminded him, "Brother Ye, please don't take risks without reason. That place is truly not a benevolent one; all around are piles of white bones and ashes, boundlessly terrifying."

This was a desolate ancient land. The surroundings were utterly silent, with no ancient medicines or spiritual herbs, and not a single exotic beast was seen. It was utterly desolate and lifeless. Deep within the mountain range, there was a colossal peak, tens of thousands of feet high, soaring into the clouds. At its base, streams of immortal light surged up, revealing an ancient cave. In front of the mountain range, thick layers of white bone powder had accumulated, making it a veritable land of death. Yet the immortal light within the cave was incredibly captivating.

"Brother Ye, do you truly intend to go in?" Rui Wei asked, worried.

"I'm just going to cultivate a divine technique," Ye Fan said, patting his shoulder. "Don't worry, I know my limits."

"I have an ancient tablet for escaping calamities here," Rui Wei said, handing over a stone tablet. "If you encounter danger, you can immediately crush it and escape instantly." The tablet was only about a foot long, with many runes carved on it. This was a secret treasure he kept for life-saving purposes, but now he lent it to Ye Fan, worried that he might run into trouble here.

"No need," Ye Fan said, shaking his head.

He did not immediately rush in. Instead, he began to circulate his Primordial Magnetic Art on the periphery, cultivating and drawing out strands of immortal light. The Dragon-Horse did the same, diligently comprehending the Dao and experiencing the wonders of this secret technique. The man and the horse were immediately enveloped in a mysterious electromagnetic light. Their bodies became crystalline and almost transparent. Of course, this was not electromagnetic force in the traditional sense, but divine magnetic force.

Two hours later, Rui Wei was moved and had no choice but to retreat, leaving the mountain range. The area was completely enveloped in immortal light, and the man and the horse were gradually venturing deeper into the ancient cave.

From that day onward, horse neighs, dog barks, dragon roars, and qilin cries occasionally emanated. Ye Fan gritted his teeth and persevered, but the Dragon-Horse howled and wailed like a ghost. Though it did not retreat, it screamed endlessly, without restraint. It was hard to imagine a single Dragon-Horse emitting the roars of various beasts; anyone unaware would think a group of ancient beasts was trapped there.

This was a primordial cave that had existed for countless tens of thousands of years. Strands and beams of primordial magnetic immortal light, endless and boundless, filled it. After Ye Fan went deeper, he endured the agony of his body dissolving. The human body possesses an energy field, and when trapped by this primordial magnetic immortal light, the interaction could almost instantly reduce a person to ash.

But Ye Fan resisted. In these few days, he cultivated the Primordial Magnetic Divine Art he had obtained to an astonishing level, making rapid progress and approaching grand completion.

"Woof, owoooo!" The Dragon-Horse bared its fangs and grimaced, howling incessantly like a ghost. It had also almost completed its cultivation.

The ancient cave was very deep. At the end where immortal light permeated, there were unexpectedly several ancient vines with sparse branches and leaves. Yet each leaf was transparent and sparkling, and immortal light steamed from them.

"Damn it, how can there be vegetation in this place? It shouldn't be able to survive," the Dragon-Horse cried out. "It smells so good! It even has fruits!" It then swallowed one with an open mouth. "Awoo-woof!" The next moment, it began to buck and kick, spewing primordial magnetic immortal light from its entire body. It was almost disintegrating, its entire body convulsing. If it hadn't cultivated the relevant secret technique, the Dragon-Horse would surely have perished there.

"So powerful! It's the purest primordial magnetic immortal light," it exclaimed. "It's a primordial force from before the heaven and earth were separated." The Dragon-Horse cried out, feeling both pain and excitement.

Ye Fan also consumed a fruit. This was not an immortal elixir of life, but it was a rare and exotic fruit, rarely seen through the ages, with special divine effects. In the end, he too trembled all over, receiving a baptism that made his entire body shine brilliantly, like a bright mirror or a divine glass.

From then on, his Primordial Magnetic Divine Art was completed. In the future, as long as his cultivation realm improved, this secret technique would become even more terrifying. It could be called an invincible secret method, comparable to the ancient arts of the Emperor's Path Taboo Chapter.

Once the divine technique was mastered, the ancient cave's danger to them significantly decreased. It could no longer easily harm their bodies; ten thousand strands of immortal light surged towards them, feeling like a gentle breeze. Ye Fan and the Dragon-Horse each ate another primordial magnetic exotic fruit, but found they were no longer very useful to them. One was enough. The ancient vine was dazzling, with eight more fruits, each no larger than a fist, shimmering with colorful light as if carved from ancient celestial jade.

"Hmm, are you sure you saw him come to this ancient land and enter the Primordial Magnetic Immortal Cave?" At some unknown point, Yan Chifeng arrived outside the mountain range. Seeing the auspicious radiance gushing and ten thousand strands of immortal light, he was somewhat surprised.

Someone nearby said with utmost certainty, "I saw it with my own eyes through the Yuan Heaven Divine Mirror."

Yan Chifeng frowned and said, "Among the most mysterious and terrifying places in the Primordial Training Ground, none surpass this one, known as the Immortal Cave. From ancient times until now, very few trial-takers have been able to enter."

"There must be immense benefits inside, right?" one person asked, and others also showed eager expressions.

"According to legend, there's an ancient vine that fell from another world," Yan Chifeng said, pointing to the high sky.

"Ah, what are its wonders?" many people asked, excited.

"This vine bears a fruit that cannot be considered an immortal elixir of life," Yan Chifeng said, "but it has extraordinary divine effects, whose wonders only the one who consumes it can truly know."

"Really? What a pity!" someone sighed. "Since hardly anyone has been able to enter throughout the ages, our longing is useless."

"Since this person has gone in, he shouldn't dream of coming out," Yan Chifeng sneered. "We'll send him off." He then conjured a magical artifact and blasted it towards the depths of the mountain range.

A blazing light and a huge roar ensued. The magical artifact shattered, but the primordial magnetic immortal light became even more terrifying, like a surging ocean bursting its dam.

"Yes, send him on his way!" the others cried, laughing cruelly.

"Foolishly entering the Primordial Immortal Cave, we'll send him to become an immortal, heh!" Led by Yan Chifeng, a dozen people attacked the mountain range. All magical artifacts they unleashed turned to dust, unable to survive under the primordial magnetic immortal light.
