Chapter 1149: Divine Law

The massive mothership floated in the dark universe. Fan Xian’s face was ashen, and she bit her silver teeth. Her expression was grim; the five Ancient Sage-level Five-Element Mechs had been destroyed, and all five masters were dead.

“How could this happen?” she murmured. Her beauty was unparalleled, but as she watched the five soul imprints vanish from the crystal wall, her heart filled with resentment and distress.

He was clearly only a Dao Severing cultivator, and even with an astonishing bloodline, he was still far from an Ancient Sage. Yet, he had displayed such terrifying combat power, leading to such severe consequences. It was simply unacceptable.

“The five mystic power seeds must be retrieved,” an elder stated. “They were discovered in ancient mysterious ruins. We don’t know their full potential now, but they might prove incredibly useful in the future.”

They had reaped significant rewards from ancient mysteries, such as ancient alchemy methods and incomplete formation arrays for sealing the heavens. These Five-Element seeds, however, initially weren't particularly remarkable. They didn't seem special until recent years when they began emitting five-element divine light, and only then did they truly begin to shine after being installed within the Ancient Sage mechs.

“This loss is too devastating.”

Everyone on the mothership wore grim expressions. The painful cost was suffocating; these were elite and mysterious Ancient Sage mechs from the altar. Losing even one was enough to severely cripple an an ordinary family.

Although Heaven’s Marauders possessed formidable foundations, they could not withstand such attrition. This was a disaster, making them feel as if they wanted to vomit blood!

“The cost is too high!” Fan Xian’s fair, delicate face showed anger, alarm, and even a hint of regret. To inflict such terrible consequences just to deal with Ye Fan was not worth it.

To be precise, they had gained absolutely nothing and suffered heavy losses for naught!

Under the cold starry sky, Ye Fan stood silently, surrounded by floating metal fragments. Five seed-like glows emanated from them, gradually dimming.

He recognized it as the five-colored divine light.

These were the most fundamental components within the five mechs, clearly rare artifacts. He collected them and observed them carefully.

The radiance was fading, dimming continuously, and the aura of ancient life weakened, on the verge of disappearing into nothingness.

Ye Fan reached out, employing the ‘Soldier’ secret art, and drew the five streams of divine light towards him. They swirled around his fingertips as he lowered his head to examine them intently.

Each seed was crystal clear, inscribed with ancient divine runes that shone brightly. They emitted a mysterious, subtle power, spreading outwards like ripples.

He thought they wouldn’t last and would deplete soon.

With a thought, Ye Fan's Divine Soul flew out. The golden miniature figure opened its mouth and absorbed all five seeds, instantly glowing with five-element spiritual radiance.

Ancient runes flickered across the surface of the golden figure. Guided by intuition, he quickly resonated with them, capturing every wisp of aura and imprinting it within his heart.

The five mystic power seeds dimmed and rapidly disintegrated within the golden figure, unable to endure. However, as they dissolved, countless divine chains of order intertwined, revealing their most fundamental essence in the final moment of collapse.

He knew he must capture and engrave them permanently.

The golden figure shone brightly, firmly remembering every ancient rune and organizing them within his sea of consciousness for careful comprehension.

These were the Five Elements, the most formidable power between heaven and earth. Mastering them would allow one to control all creation and stand above all sages.

“This is a divine art from the ancient gods of the Eternal Kingdom, preserved as mystic power seeds, and now I have obtained them,” Ye Fan exclaimed with delight.

Any source of life, any star domain, or even the entire universe, could be explained through the Five Elements. This was an unparalleled power.

The Five Elements served as the foundation, constructing worlds and transforming into the cosmos and star rivers—the very root of the Dao.

How could Ye Fan not be overjoyed to obtain such divine art seeds? He constantly deliberated and repeatedly deduced, eager to fully master them immediately.

This profound secret art of the ancient gods quickly plunged him into an enlightened state, his mind completely immersed. His entire body radiated five-element divine light.

The five mystic power seeds dissipated, and all the symbols vanished from the golden figure’s surface, returning everything to nothingness. However, Ye Fan had memorized the complete original imprints.

The previous mystic power was divine energy left behind by ancient gods, which had now finally dissipated. Yet, the most precious imprints had been passed down. As long as Ye Fan’s strength was sufficient, he could condense his own divine energy in the future.

“The most valuable thing isn’t the Ancient Sage-level mechs themselves, but these five mystic power seeds contained within them! This is truly an unexpected joy!” Ye Fan couldn’t help but laugh aloud.

Although the light blue mech was destroyed, and he hadn't obtained a single Five-Element divine armor, he was in high spirits and felt incredibly comfortable.

Mechs, after all, were external objects, like captured Ancient Sage weapons, only to be used, not fundamental to his cultivation. But this Five-Element divine light was different; it could significantly advance his Dao cultivation and double his combat power.

As long as he could advance another small step, he wouldn't need a mech and could block attacks with his bare hands, tearing apart Ancient Sage war tools!

“I must break through. As long as I take one more step, where in this entire star domain can I not go?”

Ye Fan did not leave the area. He believed Fan Xian and others were certainly searching for him in the Immortal Feather Star Sea. Rather than risk going out, it was better to cultivate in seclusion here.

He had set up a Heaven-Deceiving Formation here, making it impossible to see through. Even advanced star domain divine eyes on various motherships couldn't scan it, allowing him to evade detection.

Time flowed like water. For half a month, five-colored spiritual radiance occasionally emanated from Ye Fan's body. He would sweep away various mech fragments from a distance, then retrieve them, using them for trials.

Clang! Clang! Clang!...

Another half a month passed. Sword cries echoed, and five treasure swords rose behind him, lined up in a row. Chaos qi permeated the area, creating a magnificent spectacle that caused tremors throughout this cosmic star sea.

Ye Fan's study of the ancient gods' secret art finally yielded some insights. He reopened the five-colored divine light, gathered mystic power, and with a single sweep, shattered everything in its path.

He had explored it on his own, and now, after repeated experiments, the divine energy proved astonishing, displaying extraordinary combat power!

Once the five streams of divine light appeared, they could both attack and defend, proving effective in every trial. Ye Fan found that this Five-Element divine power was incredibly easy to wield, like an extension of his own arm, for sweeping away enemies and engulfing everything, with astonishing results.

Ye Fan remained in seclusion, diligently refining his understanding and solidifying his Dao fruit, hoping for further improvement. It was only after another month passed that he finally let out a long breath and stood up.

“I can only go this far for now,” he mused. “The rest requires slow contemplation and experience in actual combat.”

He was already very satisfied with this unexpected acquisition of a divine art. It was a peerless secret art, no less profound than the final secret methods of ancient emperor scriptures.

Ye Fan carefully put away the formation runes carved from the Wudao Ancient Tea Tree trunk, then deactivated the Heaven-Deceiving Formation. He reappeared in the outside world, drifting through the cosmos, preparing to journey towards the Eternal Main Star.

“If there’s a third-stage evolution fluid, there must be a fourth-stage one,” he murmured softly to himself. “If I could acquire it, I might be able to shorten a hundred years of cultivation and directly advance to a higher realm!”

In this star domain, evolution fluid was a coveted treasure, highly valued by all major powers. They were all trying to refine it, as it was considered a heaven-defying shortcut.

Different star domains, different paths—these were the distinctions among various brilliant civilizations, each with its unique strengths.

However, Ye Fan knew that extracting fourth-stage evolution fluid was an extremely difficult and illusory endeavor. Even third-stage evolution fluid hadn't appeared in the Immortal Feather Star Sea for many years.

The fourth stage was practically a myth. Records indicated that someone had successfully extracted it in the Immortal Feather Star Sea five thousand years ago—a time too distant.

“Immortal Feather, Primordial Demon, and Divine Earth are three smaller star seas orbiting the Eternal Star,” Ye Fan hoped. “I believe there must be exciting divine liquid in that central region!”

The journey through the star domain was monotonous. Ye Fan planned to first go to Immortal Feather Star and then use it as a route to the Eternal Main Star.

Heaven’s Pure Land was not a true life star, but merely a marauder base within the Immortal Feather Star Sea. Immortal Feather Star itself was the origin of this smaller star domain.

Boom!

Suddenly, a massive beam of light shot forth from the front. This was an extremely powerful thermal weapon, capable of instantly destroying large asteroid fields to ensure clear navigation in deep space.

Now, someone was using this weapon against Ye Fan, which was, naturally, incredibly terrifying. If he were hit, he would most likely face a great disaster.

Ye Fan shifted dozens of miles to evade the beam, his gaze fixed on a colossal battleship emerging from the depths of the dark cosmos, launching a fierce assault on him.

“The people from Heaven are truly persistent ghosts, possessing such patience and not retreating yet…” Ye Fan was surprised, then frowned.

He stepped with the ‘Movement’ secret art, moving unpredictably in the darkness, advancing to attack, hoping to board the colossal battleship.

“It’s really him! Stop attacking immediately! Initiate a spatial jump and return to the mothership!” the person in charge on the ship ordered.

This was a massive warship capable of long-distance spatial jumps, deployed into space specifically to hunt Ye Fan. Over the past two months, the Fan clan had invested a huge amount of manpower and resources, as they were utterly enraged.

Numerous Ancient Sage-level mechs were lost, a blow even Heaven’s Pure Land found unbearable, leaving them severely weakened. They hadn't obtained the Indestructible Blood, suffering heavy losses for nothing—it was a case of trying to steal a chicken and losing the rice instead.

“What? He appeared? I’ll go meet him myself!” Fan Zhou, a titan of Heaven, declared.

“I’m going too!” Fan Xian clenched her fist, a hint of coldness on her delicate face.

In the next moment, the massive mothership leaped into a stargate, instantly appearing in this star sea, swiftly pursuing the coordinates where Ye Fan had last been seen.

“He won’t escape! Search for him!” Fan Xian commanded with a cold expression. This serious demeanor lent her a uniquely captivating charm as she stared at the screen in the main control room, biting her silver teeth.

“Bad news! Something’s wrong with Heaven! The Qi family from Immortal Feather Star attacked our Pure Land!” Suddenly, an urgent alarm blared, throwing the entire mothership into chaos.

“Damn it! They attacked right after we left; they must have been planning this for a long time,” roared an elder from the Fan clan on the ship.

“Bad news! They looted some of our evolution fluid!”

Upon hearing this news, Fan Zhou, Fan Xian, and the others all changed expressions. They immediately ordered swift support, determined not to let them escape.

“Among them is Qi Meng. She was once our captive for a period and is very familiar with the Pure Land. Later, their Ancestral Sage personally arrived, and we were forced to release her due to the pressure. We never expected her to lead this attack.”

Ye Fan ascended from a meteorite, watching them depart, deep in thought. He then set up a chessboard formation platform and traversed the star domain, intending to follow and observe.

He very much wanted to fish in troubled waters, as he currently lacked an Ancient Sage mech, making travel in this domain quite inconvenient.

Boom!

War raged on, with blazing light burning everywhere. A great battle was unfolding in the starry sky outside Heaven’s Pure Land. Countless warships were firing, and Ancient Sage mechs were also engaged in combat.

At the same time, motherships clashed, unleashing billions of Dao runes and light beams, boundless in their terror, engulfing the area.

“What a good opportunity, hehe!” Ye Fan concealed his aura with the Heaven-Deceiving Formation. He then used a secret art of the Heavenly Court, merging himself into the void, becoming invisible and intangible, as he moved towards the colossal battleship, preparing to board.
