Blood covered the entire land.
The bloody, dark red soil had largely vanished, having been utterly evaporated—an unimaginably immense loss. Yet, amidst this ravaged land, fresh from a major battle, a Heavenly Court meeting was convened.
"Return to our former positions?"
The other gods were bewildered, but Meng Mei and the others were dumbfounded.
What did this mean? If Meng Mei had to become Jianmu again, unable to move, wouldn't that be like returning to a prison? And the Thunder Emperor and God-Slaying Blade would still hold their previous roles; a deity would literally become an innate divine artifact!
The God-Slaying Platform, the Thunder Hammer.
The Ancestral Witch's fate was the most tragic! What was the osmanthus? It was in the Moon Palace, constantly being chopped down by Wu Gang, its flesh and blood serving as precious medicine to nourish the entire Heavenly Court.
A deity, whose headless body would be ceaselessly cut, and whose head would be re-imprisoned beneath Changyang Mountain.
It was too cruel!
And they claimed there was no lingering grudge? This was nothing short of severe punishment!
"Are there any objections?"
From his imperial throne, Emperor Qi calmly stated, "I am a reasonable person, one who discerns right from wrong. Should any of you have objections, you may step forward and present them."
"No objections," Meng Mei replied, "Your Majesty is truly sagacious!"
Emperor Qi nodded with a sense of relief. "The ancient innate gods shall retain their former positions, and the deities from the various Demon Realms and other realms shall also keep their roles unchanged."
"For now, the positions are thus decided." Emperor Qi's voice resonated through the entire Solar Temple. "Now, let us discuss the great enemies from beyond our domain and the distribution of forces."
All the deities nodded in agreement.
It was clear they were getting straight to the point, without any prevarication.
Since Emperor Qi intended to return, he would also shoulder his responsibilities and confront the invasion of the Three Pillar Gods.
The Three Pillar Gods, during their initial unprepared assault, had unexpectedly sustained damage and temporarily retreated. However, they could return at any moment.
After all, their cultivation realm—weak Ninth Tier—remained unchanged.
On the path to the Ninth Tier, where soul and flesh are unified, merely absorbing energy suffices.
And what of the Seven Realms?
In the Seven Realms, Emperor Qi still progressed the fastest.
His flesh and blood had only just begun to merge, and to the eyes of the gods using energy detection, his head and the upper half of his body had already transformed into a dark red, charred-like state of soul-flesh integration.
Thus, while it appeared to be a temporary retreat, it was in fact merely a truce. A second invasion was virtually inevitable.
Emperor Qi calmly stated, "The Seven Realms cannot reach the weak Ninth Tier realm, nor can anyone completely traverse the Ninth Tier path, in a short period. As for the Three Pillar Gods, they remain formidable, insurmountable enemies from beyond our domain."
"Today, I repelled him. What was the reason?"
Emperor Qi rose from his imperial throne, pacing back and forth with his hands clasped behind his back.
"Because his knowledge is superficial! Because his knowledge is outdated!"
"He only cultivated one system. Therefore, despite his high cultivation realm, he could not overcome my various advanced, hybridized techniques. He couldn't defeat me because I exploited his weaknesses and saw through his physical form!"
"But though he was repelled this time, what will happen in the future?"
Emperor Qi's voice gradually grew louder, heavy, resonant, and immensely solemn. "Upon their return, the Three Pillar Gods will have gained a thorough understanding of the Seven Realms. They will undoubtedly rectify all their deficiencies! They will cultivate martial arts, practice the Nine Revolutions Profound Art, and master various other top-tier techniques. They will transform from a weak Ninth Tier who only knows one system into a weak Ninth Tier who commands multiple systems. What then will become of us?"
A profound shock reverberated through everyone present.
If the Three Pillar Gods managed to overcome their weaknesses and master the Seven Realms' various top-tier techniques, placing both sides on equal ground, then they would likely be utterly annihilated!
With the disparity in cultivation techniques no longer significant, it would come down to an absolute crushing by realm!
The next time the Three Pillar Gods invaded, the second great war would erupt in an instant, leaving the Seven Realms completely defenseless!
"The Three Pillar Gods are one concern. The second is the Divine Sakura Emperor."
Emperor Qi's expression grew solemn as he continued, "This individual, the Divine Sakura Emperor, discreetly tore through the void and departed at the very instant of my grand battle. I fear she had already calculated that our confrontation would inevitably end in a stalemate, yielding no decisive outcome, and thus chose to leave beforehand."
"She is extraordinarily cunning. Utilizing the aftermath of the battle, she exploited the terrifying explosions of both sides' clashing laws to erase all traces of her spatial teleportation, making it impossible for us to track her movements or locate her world!"
The deities were slightly astonished.
It was no wonder they had pursued the swift Earth Mother instead of the comparatively slower Divine Sakura Emperor; the Three Pillar Gods had already realized that the latter had long since departed.
Meng Mei's expression also completely changed.
Caroline had long ago calculated that the conflict would reach a stalemate, and that the Three Pillar Gods would turn on others, killing them for their energy. So, had she deliberately left herself behind to endure the assault?
No wonder they had pursued the fastest-moving among them—herself.
Indeed, even the Three Pillar Gods, having reached the weak Ninth Tier, would find it incredibly difficult to trace the coordinates of the "Microcosm World."
The coordinates of the Six Realms could be found because the Dream Goddess and others were in their possession. Although the Six Realms had used "time worms" to sever the connection between the Dream Goddess and the Three Pillar Gods, making it originally impossible to trace them, the Three Pillar Gods had twisted the laws and altered cosmic material parameters to re-establish this broken link, thus climbing back using the Dream Goddess as a medium.
This was how they had re-established the connection.
However, Caroline possessed no such medium, making it impossible to trace her from nothing.
They could twist existing laws, but not create new ones.
Emperor Qi stated calmly, "This is a three-way standoff. Among the three major worlds, our Chongming Mythological Heavenly Court is the one that can be entered at any time, the most accessible world."
Silence fell completely over the deities.
The three-world standoff, a tripartite balance, had truly taken shape!
The era of celestial wars had begun.
Emperor Qi continued, "Currently, within the Seven Realms, there is also an ancient extraterrestrial star that has been transformed into an advance post for the Chongming Mythological Heavenly Court. It serves as a bridgehead for resource extraction and for exploring civilizations across the various outer heavens."
The deities were greatly shaken by this revelation.
So there was also a small exploratory world from beyond their domain, constantly drifting among the myriad heavens?
Emperor Qi allowed everyone to process the information in silence, then suddenly gazed at his colossal Pangu form. It towered between heaven and earth, blotting out the sky, and he had chosen not to dismantle it.
After all, how could it be dismantled?
While an ordinary Pangu True Form, like the merged form achieved by Earth Mother and the Five Vine Warlords through the Nine Revolutions Profound Art, could be dismantled with most of its energy recovered, this particular body before them was a martial arts form nourished by the endless flesh, blood, and bones of an entire world's living beings.
Its defensive capabilities were exceptionally strong, making it arguably the most potent weapon of war.
It was natural, therefore, that it should be preserved indefinitely.
Emperor Qi mused silently, "This colossal body can eventually replace the Pangu True Form within the Ancient Wood Planet, but that must wait until the war concludes. For the time being, it will remain in use."
Turning, Emperor Qi gazed at the assembled deities and the vast, scarred, blood-stained land. "The next great battle will occur after the Three Pillar Gods have cultivated and used their computational power to deduce and learn our techniques. This period will be neither short nor excessively long. We must regroup and restore this entire ravaged land.
"This land, where the conflict has evaporated countless substances, leaving over half of its surface parched, is truly a desperate place. It can be replenished with vast quantities of sand and stone resources provided by the extraterrestrial bridgehead planet."
The deities nodded.
This was indeed the most challenging problem, and replenishing the depleted matter from an external source was certainly the best solution.
Emperor Qi smiled. "I shall now contact—"
But he had not yet finished speaking.
Suddenly, he inexplicably stepped out of the Solar Temple and looked up at the sky.
A thunderous roar filled the air!
An endless torrent of grey sand and gravel, mixed with metallic particles, cascaded from the heavens like a sky-blotting waterfall, filling the barren land with the missing materials.
"What is this?"
Emperor Qi stood transfixed, his eyes wide with astonishment.
