Chapter 575: Giving Miracles to the Future

White Dwarves. Frozen Demon Martial Arts Palace.

Zach, a short figure with an astonishing aura, stood before countless white dwarves dressed in martial arts uniforms, listening respectfully. He wore a loose white martial arts uniform emblazoned with the character for "frozen."

"Frozen Demons... It is said that we possess the potential to become Frozen Demons. I've pondered for a long time: what exactly is 'frozen'?" Zach's voice was calm, his gaze deep, as he observed his disciples, embodying the demeanor of a grandmaster.

The evening sunlight streamed through the window, falling upon the pale yellow floor of the training hall. He extended his palm, seemingly catching the sunlight.

"Our world, as defined by the highly intelligent High-Green people, consists of two types of zones: medium zones and vacuum zones. Medium zones, like water, soil, trees, living beings, and air, allow for the transmission of sound and temperature. Vacuum zones, however, do not. Our normal state is a vacuum zone, where sound and temperature cannot propagate. So, if temperature cannot spread, how can there be a 'freezing' ability?"

Indeed, in this world, do we truly possess the potential to become Frozen Demons? The surrounding white dwarves lowered their heads, deep in thought. Was the prophecy of that mysterious entity true? Could their White Dwarf race, in some parallel world, truly become that immensely powerful and terrifying race—the Frozen Demons—and even ascend to cosmic emperors?

"The future holds infinite possibilities." Zach gazed at the faint sunset outside the window and addressed his disciples, "The Red Beetles told me that, according to their observations, the sun in the sky is unimaginably far from us. Yet, its temperature can traverse the endless vacuum and reach our planet. How is this possible?" Confusion rippled through the group.

"It's radiation—thermal radiation!" Zach's expression was calm. "A vacuum cannot transmit temperature, but the sun transmits heat to Stone Star in the form of radiation, which then converts into heat. This is what we call thermal radiation. Therefore, the most fundamental power in our vacuum world..." He slowly crouched down, assuming a combat stance, hands positioned at his waist as if preparing to punch. He suddenly seemed to grasp the golden sunlight from the window. The intangible light was inexplicably held in his palm, and he hurled it forcefully into the distance!

A wooden dummy in the distance exploded.

"He caught light!?" Everyone present was stunned, as if witnessing a dream.

"Our source of power is radiation." Zach lowered his fist. "Light is radiation, the energy waves released by martial artists from a distance are a form of radiation, sound is sound wave radiation, and thermal radiation is also radiation. So, is cold also a form of radiation? I have contemplated this question for a long time. I discovered that a high-frequency wave of radiation, when instantly vibrated, can form a special kind of 'True Qi.' This can dehydrate, draw out all moisture, blood, and vital warmth from living beings, effectively achieving a form of 'freezing' in a certain sense."

He extended his hand, grasping at the air. A gate opened. A large animal, previously in a cage, was suddenly released. The massive animal began to bolt. Zach slowly raised an index finger. A small, snowy-white orb of light condensed, and with a gentle flick, it transformed into a ray. The next second, the animal was pierced by an unidentifiable, high-frequency trembling wave. Its entire body, from blood beads to cellular fluid, was vibrated out of its pores. Blood streamed from all its orifices, covering its body. In an astonishing manner, the blood rapidly froze, transforming the animal into an ice sculpture in its running posture.

"What kind of power is this!?" All the apprentice martial artists' mouths hung slightly open. In that instant, they felt a terrifying pressure, as if the blood in their own veins was about to freeze.

Zach walked over and lightly tapped the ice sculpture.

*Shatter!*

Bones, internal organs, and fur shattered onto the ground, turning into ice shards. In the instant of its destruction, all the White Dwarves present were filled with an unbelievable mix of awe and horror.

"Understanding higher-level ice radiation naturally leads to understanding lower-level thermal radiation," Zach said softly. "This is the Frozen Demon... This is the power I have comprehended. I hope that we, who were once slaves, can align ourselves with the White Dwarves of that other spatiotemporal universe, to become like that terrifyingly powerful Frozen Demon race."

Zach turned around. "From today onward, every master of the Martial Arts Palace shall be known as Frieza."

Zach established the Martial Arts Palace, researching a vacuum combat system. He ultimately realized that the essence of power is radiation—the source of all transmission in a vacuum. Given that 99% of the entire universe is a vacuum, this is arguably the most universal and powerful force. Radiation is singular, yet it can evolve into countless combat techniques.

Red Beetles. Red Ribbon Army.

"Android 18 has been calibrated." A flea-sized creature observed a humanoid being immersed in nutrient radiation fluid within a bio-chamber. "According to the prophecy, our attack on the World Martial Arts Tournament and the assassination of the Grand Elder were carried out using Android 8, which we created... Now, after several failed versions, we have successfully produced Android 18."

The red beetle's expression was calm. "This is the talent of our race. Despite our minuscule size, we can navigate within the androids' vital energy channels, serving as high-radiation nuclear power 'batteries.' And now, after the High-Green people used a Dragon Ball wish for us, we have completely bonded an android's biological structure using Stone Star cells."

*Click.*

The bio-chamber suddenly opened, and nutrient fluid flowed out. A slender woman emerged, her golden hair cascading over her shoulders. Her tight, dark red combat suit, made of a special material, accentuated her tall and graceful figure, with her long, shapely, and fair legs exceptionally striking.

The Red Beetles, utilizing their radiation wave abilities, served as the androids' batteries, controlling them in combat, thereby fully embracing the radiation wave system themselves.

To Xu Zhi's surprise, yet also in a logical progression, the foundational system of radiation finally emerged in the vacuum of this universe. History would forever mark this moment, and understand just how profound the essence of this system was!

Radiation. True Qi. These two concepts were truly ideal for a vacuum universe, seemingly tailor-made for this environment. Xu Zhi observed the Great Martial Arts Era on this vacuum-universe planet—a time of fervent passion, combat, and vibrant life. It was like watching new, tender shoots sprout from a withered branch.

"Vacuum Super-Cell Civilization." Xu Zhi gazed down upon the vast Stone Star. In that moment, he felt the colossal wheel of history slowly turning, the entire planet rising with an unstoppable tide of time. This particular timeline was an incredible miracle, reversing the great fusion and allowing each race to establish its foundation.

"However, all miracles gifted by fate have long been priced transparently behind the scenes." Xu Zhi shook his head. In worlds unknown to them, in higher, unseen dimensions, this world's miracle was forged from the failures of countless previous worlds. No miracle is accidental. What is a miracle? It is the result of countless failed parallel universe timelines, the relentless exploration and struggle of alternative selves in other universes, which then creates good fortune for a self in another spatiotemporal reality.

"Civilization's Revival: Between Fusions." Xu Zhi turned and departed. "Accelerate the timeline." As soon as he spoke, time accelerated rapidly, unfolding like a fast-forwarded film.

Stone Star Year 212.

A world-ending meteor descended, initiating an infection. Due to a doomsday prophecy more than a decade in advance, Stone Star's vigilance was unprecedentedly high. Cities near the meteor's impact zone were evacuated early, preventing immediate infection. However, the three races knew that viral infection was inevitable. Keeping the population away from the great ice ocean was merely an initial measure to suppress spread; eventually, the virus would proliferate across the icy seas.

The high-ranking members of the three races remained confident. Analysis showed they were seventeen times stronger than the previous era, with hundreds of thousands of martial artists. Their robust military, powerful medical support, and virus research organizations were all poised for action. They felt certain of victory against what they considered a mere virus.

However, an unexpected development occurred: the viral infection still erupted ferociously. Initially, a combat protection squad was infected and rapidly began attacking prominent martial artists. Within just three days, a second-generation virus appeared on the front lines, and tens of thousands in the city fell. The premature appearance of the second-generation virus completely overturned the projected timeline. Numerous martial artists rushed to the front lines but could not stem the collapse. Within a single week, as more powerful individuals became infected, a third-generation mutated virus emerged, and the Zombie King made its appearance. The entire High-Green Empire could not withstand such a terrifying upheaval. In the previous era, the Zombie King and the third-generation virus had slowly evolved years after the zombie apocalypse began. Yet here, they appeared in the very first week of the initial disaster, and the planet rapidly succumbed at an alarming rate, transforming into a living hell.

"They're too naive," Xu Zhi chuckled, shaking his head. "That is the Grand Unification Virus, the most formidable virus from the ancient lava lands. It once annihilated the flourishing Ishudar civilization; it's no laughing matter." Its terrifying aspect lies in its ability to grow stronger against strong opponents. "The more powerful individuals in a world, the better they can resist the virus? That's not how it works. Precisely because there were so many powerful individuals, once infected, these 'sub-computer' units became more potent in their computational abilities, accelerating the mutation process. Previously, hundreds of thousands of lives had to be infected to generate the computing power needed to evolve a third-generation mutated virus. Now, infecting just a thousand martial artists provided enough computational power to evolve a third-generation mutated virus specific to this planet's species, leading to the emergence of the Zombie King. It's important to remember that the Ishudarians of old were so powerful that, once infected, the virus instantly evolved through more than ten generations of mutations. This resulted in their computational power being utterly unable to keep pace with the mutation rate.

"It seems that while they've united with a common goal, this is clearly just the beginning," Xu Zhi shook his head. "They don't understand its characteristics this time, and I fear they will soon be annihilated. After all, the Grand Unification Virus is so terrifying that even I am wary of it. It can infect every world; how can it be easily fought?" For Caroline to contend with him using this, it couldn't be simple.

Stone Star Year 213.

The emergence of the Zombie King forced the high-ranking rulers to respond aggressively, initiating a "decapitation" operation. A few of the strongest martial artists were sent to ambush the Zombie King, but this resulted in even greater casualties. Some of these powerful individuals even became infected and transformed into Zombie Kings themselves, leading to a complete collapse of the situation and the arrival of the apocalypse. An even more horrifying event unfolded: as more Zombie Kings emerged, they began to fully develop intelligence. From their captives, they also learned about the future. The "Spark Plan" from the previous era couldn't even be initiated before it was suppressed by the now-aware Zombie Kings. Soon, the Zombie Kings cornered the survivors into just three urban strongholds, where they were forced to put up a desperate resistance as the world teetered on the brink of destruction.

Finally, the High-Green people made a desperate gamble. They began using their researched second-generation serum to create the transforming forms of the Frozen Demons to resist the Zombie King. Ultimately, the iron-blooded and ruthless Grand Elder enacted a terrifying and bloody policy: the White Dwarf Extermination Plan. He intended for 800,000 White Dwarves to be exposed to the virus and injected with the serum. This would lead to the widespread extinction of the White Dwarves; only a handful who survived would become a new, evolved type of White Dwarf—the Frozen Demons—possessing immunity to Zombie King infection and representing the only hope.

At this point, the White Dwarves were summoned and quickly informed of the White Dwarf Extermination Plan. Instantly, the city erupted in a cacophony of screams, sorrowful cries, roars, and shouts, countless voices interwoven.

"I knew it, we are still slaves."

"The cunning High-Green people placated us, treating us as pawns, and now they've simply discarded us."

"He wants to exterminate our race!"

The White Dwarves fell into chaos, wailing everywhere, with elders, children, and women embracing each other.

"I have a dream." On the podium, the Grand Elder gazed expressionlessly at the crowd below. His corpulent, dark-green body, riddled with wrinkles, stood high as he delivered his final speech. "I dream that one day, our world will survive this apocalypse, overcome these terrifying viruses, endure this doomsday prophecy, and that we will live equally and happily into the distant future, beyond the year 212. I dream that one day, the icy oceans will melt, and the land will revive. The countless corpses of our era will pave a crimson, winding path, dawn's sunlight will fall, emerald green sprouts will emerge from the ground, and the survivors of the three races will embrace each other hand in hand upon the earth. No one can force the sacrifice of another. We cannot force you. After granting you human rights, you are our citizens. This is the pride of the High-Green people; we do not permit the killing of our own populace. Death is indeed feared by everyone... Even from the highest vantage point, we cannot compel your deaths."

The agitated crowd grew calmer, gradually falling silent.

"Nation? Justice? Future? Continuity? Before one's own life, those are all too ridiculous..."

"Who cares if the deluge comes after I'm dead?"

The Grand Elder looked up at the setting sun, its soft, dim afterglow casting a flush across his face. "But I believe that in life, there are things more terrifying than death: one's own cowardice, the extinction of one's race, dying powerlessly in despair..." Sunlight streamed across the ground. The Grand Elder donned a white cape inscribed with the word "Justice," slowly fastening its buttons. "Before we die, should we not at least become rabid dogs and try to bite them back?"

The White Dwarves remained silent.

"There are still 80,000 White Dwarves among the survivors. The time needed is too long. We, the High-Green people, and the Red Beetles will sacrifice our lives to buy time for your 80,000, allowing for the injection of the virus and serum. I still remember your speech from back then: we would work together, pray together, struggle together, go to prison together, uphold freedom together, and fight the apocalypse together, regardless of race."

The Grand Elder, leading the elite High-Green forces, charged out of the city. He was the first to charge, wearing the commander's robes, fighting valiantly. He was soon torn apart by the endless tide of corpses. A generation's heroic leader, who had led the High-Green people from nothing to prominence, met his ultimate end.

The ground was stained crimson, thick with the stench of blood. The High-Green people pressed forward, one after another, their eyes bloodshot, rushing out of the city with the frenzied expressions of rabid dogs.

"He knew it was death, but he still went..." Android 18 murmured, an inexpressible heaviness in her heart. "...He went without hesitation. Even though he was an enemy, I can't help but admire his charisma and leadership. His cold ruthlessness, which began with his own life, imbued even this cruel, bloody, and inhumane plan with a touch of humanity."

The Red Ribbon Army, leading their troops, also charged out, disregarding their own lives.

The White Dwarves exchanged glances. Suddenly, silence fell among them. They quietly picked up the adjacent serum and virus, allowing themselves to be infected and assimilated. One hundred ax-wielding guards stood nearby. They had long stood by, holding their long blades impassively, ready to immediately kill anyone who succumbed to the virus and turned into a zombie, as the emergence of zombies absolutely had to be managed. This would involve a cruel and massive number—a full 80,000. For this purpose, they had prepared over a dozen blades, knowing they would quickly dull.

The White Dwarf Extermination Plan commenced. While the High-Green people and Red Beetles bought time, within a single day, the White Dwarves, spurred by a furious determination to forge a future, rapidly perished, their 80,000 strong population decimated. Blood stained the apocalyptic city. Ultimately, only a little over a thousand individuals survived the viral infection, becoming immune to the Zombie King and gaining transformation abilities.

The White Dwarf race was completely exterminated, replaced by the exceedingly rare Frozen Demon race, which possessed the ability to transform, changing shape and growing taller. Zach once again survived the viral infection. He led a thousand Frozen Demon soldiers, carrying the remaining hope of the High-Green people and the Red Beetles, breaking through the siege. The Human Spark Plan was relaunched, and the three races were now completely united. Everyone knew that all this was bought by the life of the wise Grand Elder; only with the three races united could they hope to survive into the future.

Stone Star Year 215.

The remaining population hid for several years until the third-generation serum was finally developed. With this, they no longer feared infection from the third-generation Zombie King. However, just as they prepared to counterattack, they discovered that the virus had completely evolved to its fourth generation, giving rise to Zombie Tyrants. Even the third-generation immune bodies of the Frozen Demons could not resist this fourth-generation zombie infection.

The Zombie Tyrants, leading the Zombie Kings, quickly pushed the survivors to their absolute limit. Ultimately, the several thousand Frozen Demons, with nothing left to lose, confronted the Zombie Tyrant, suffering countless casualties. In despair, Zach once again survived the fourth-generation viral infection, undergoing another transformation and achieving his second form. Among the thousand Frozen Demons infected by the new virus, only one tribal member emerged capable of a second-stage transformation. However, vastly outnumbered, he was quickly overwhelmed and perished in the zombie horde.

In Xu Zhi's eyes, after the second transformation, Zach's spiraled demonic horns had fully expanded, making him tall, imposing, and even more grotesque, with a strong, ugly physique.

"He really did become Frieza's second form," Xu Zhi murmured, falling silent for a moment. Xu Zhi stood atop a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, looking down at Zach, observing the upright, demon-horned White Dwarf.

"All the sacrifices were not meaningless," Xu Zhi whispered. "They paved the way for the future with blood, gifting miracles to the future with blood. You should know that all miracles gifted by fate have long been priced transparently behind the scenes."

End-stage civilization simulation complete. Save?

"Save," Xu Zhi said. "Name this civilization timeline 'Era's End: Frieza.'"
