Xu Zhi looked at the graveyard. Scattered, solitary tombstones stood, while a cold wind carried wisps of dry leaves, creating a hazy, indistinct scene that seemed to have remained unchanged for centuries. Among them, two were particularly striking.

The Tomb of Levius, God of Human Science. The Tomb of Caroline, Unknown Person.

"This is all remote wilderness; those technologically advanced societies no longer exist," Xu Zhi mused. He reflected that the Isu people were the most stubborn, passionate, and spirited race he had ever encountered.

After a moment, Caroline's tombstone began to vibrate and then lifted, revealing a woman in red, holding a traditional oiled paper umbrella, who slowly emerged.

Xu Zhi turned his head to look.

"After a period of time, my Lord, you have returned," Caroline said softly.

"Indeed, it's been a long time," Xu Zhi replied after a moment's thought, without elaborating further.

"Care to chat?" Caroline smiled.

Xu Zhi felt a little helpless, knowing what she intended, and could only nod.

The two sat down to drink milk tea.

Perhaps he had casually "corrupted" Caroline back then, and this scene held a special place in her memory, prompting them to sit down for a drink every time they reunited. After all, she was the unconventional girl he had met in a milk tea shop, a fervent bio-enhancer who loved chattering about strange theories and detested mechanical trends.

The two quickly settled down, with Caroline doing most of the talking, sharing her experiences and observations from over the years.

The Three Pillar Gods had once again gone into hiding after being severely struck down. As the hidden fortunes and grand computational rules governing the three races, they were still engaged in internal power struggles.

In the current era, the path of technology has been abandoned in favor of various cultivation systems, myriad and diverse. The era has also entered a medieval period, characterized by nuns, church knights, and carriages, with a significantly improved standard of living.

"Although we are in a parallel universe, we constantly monitor this world," she said.

Caroline took a sip of milk tea, speaking to Xu Zhi yet seemingly talking to herself, as she had lacked a listener for years. "Every few years, we dispatch reconnaissance drones to observe the progress of civilization in the main universe, collecting their average physical data and metrics, and monitoring the extent to which the Three Pillar Gods have modified their genetic chains."

"They are evolving into a race of giants. Ever since the era of the Forest Daughters, they have been different from us. Our skeletons have been unearthed by their archaeologists, who refer to us as 'prehistoric short people'."

She extended a hand.

A disc resembling a black flying saucer slowly floated into the air. "This is a reconnaissance drone," she explained.

Xu Zhi's eye twitched.

Isn't that a UFO?

In a sense, they truly were aliens, observing this relatively backward civilization without interfering.

"How should I put it? I don't have that mechanical romance, those cities of steel jungles, mechanical armors, or various motorbikes. The world's air is much purer," Caroline said, pouting slightly as she smiled and pointed at the tombstones. "I've come to understand that this is the age of giants. This civilization seems to repeat itself day after day. In the future, there will also be gravekeepers, and we won't pay them any mind. But over these years, I've been all alone, always feeling like I'm living in a bottle, tightly trapped, which is a bit uncomfortable. It's rare for you to return."

She smiled, a hint of melancholy in her expression, yet she made no attempt to hide it. Handing him a cup of milk tea, she continued:

"I've told you what's happened these past years. What about you? Where did you disappear to all this time? Could you share any interesting anecdotes? How is that mechanical armor now? I truly envy your power, being able to traverse so many places and witness worlds we could never imagine."

"How is the mechanical armor now?" Xu Zhi paused, then said, "It's in a very interesting place, given to someone it belongs to. Perhaps I can take you to see it."

"Given away?" Caroline's eyes widened.

She knew how valuable that item was; it might have been the remains of a Ninth-Tier being, yet it was given to someone else?

"It was returned to its rightful owner," Xu Zhi said.

"Returned to its rightful owner? That must be interesting." Caroline didn't ask further questions. Finally standing up, she said, "Speaking of worlds, I can show you ours."

Xu Zhi didn't stand on ceremony; he was genuinely curious. Caroline's "creation" cultivation path and the Isu people, who called themselves gods, were well worth studying and drawing inspiration from.

Next, they directly entered Caroline's opened mental world.

With a sudden rush in his head, a vast landscape appeared.

It was an innocent and romantic starry sky, exquisitely beautiful, with glittering stars.

"A starry sky? Is this the Isu people's romantic ideal, or your own aspiration?" Xu Zhi asked, looking around curiously. The scattered stars perfectly matched the Isu's fervent and perfection-seeking nature.

"Both," Caroline replied, subtly gesturing ahead.

It was an azure planet with seven continents, inhabited by merfolk, dragons, and hydras—all species from the past.

"Everything beyond the starry sky is a virtual reality. This is a planet, a circular ancient lava continent, adapted from the starry sky you showed us back then. We Isu people don't live on it. Our population is sparse; we are called the 'God Race,' managing all the data and physical parameters of this land. There are only three thousand of us, and new births are added only when someone dies of old age."

Xu Zhi nodded.

In a sense, it was like a group of souls undergoing a special "datafication." Souls naturally experienced birth, aging, sickness, and death. While it was possible to adjust data and continuously replenish soul medium to achieve immortality, the Isu people did not dislike death; they chose to experience normal birth, aging, sickness, and death.

"Truly arrogant, as always."

Xu Zhi sighed, realizing that their greatest arrogance lay in their extreme methods of maintaining humility and a thirst for knowledge within their race, all to prevent their species from stagnating.

He then observed the world further.

Its development was quite orderly.

As expected of the earnest and passionate Isu people, their development was peaceful and stable.

They were clearly not some special race prone to causing trouble.

The transmigrator system was unique but similar to novels on Earth, and there was also the Reincarnator Main God institution. Xu Zhi carefully observed for several days, indeed learning a great deal of knowledge and new Isu technology, gaining much insight.

"It seems I'll need to harvest a wave periodically from now on," he thought to himself. "The Isu people are constantly 'cheating' here."

After the tour, Caroline stopped, her gaze fixed intently on Xu Zhi, as fervent as if she were looking at a long-awaited lover or a peerless beauty.

Xu Zhi, of course, didn't flatter himself that it was his charm; he knew where the interest of this science fanatic lay. He simply said, "I'll take you to a special world for a look."

Caroline nodded, her eyes bright. "I'm looking forward to it!"

A clone of herself descended, following Xu Zhi as he departed.

A moment later.

They passed through a teleportation array, entering the Six Paths of Reincarnation world.

*Whoosh!*

Two mysterious beings descended into the air above this land, their arrival unnoticed by anyone.

The two walked along the street.

"This is the material realm! It genuinely exists in space and time... not like our parallel spiritual universe."

Caroline's eyes showed a girlish delight. A new world, a new structure... For her, it was the joy of truly discovering a new continent, bringing excitement to her otherwise monotonous life.

Xu Zhi wasn't surprised.

After all, scientists always enjoy new discoveries.

"Want something to eat?" Xu Zhi asked the roadside vendor in a quaint, antique-style shop, pointing to a steaming basket. "Two steamed buns and two cups of soy milk, please."

"Coming right up! Two hot steamed buns and soy milk," the vendor cheerfully responded.

Xu Zhi handed her the items. "It's different from milk tea; it has a unique flavor."

In the ancient lava land, there was no food like squeezed bean juice. Instead, some silly players, when evolving food species, had gone to great lengths to satisfy their cravings!

So, the cuisine was indeed quite comprehensive, fitting for a "Gourmet World."

"Delicious! What a pleasant surprise. It's truly wonderful to travel with you," Caroline said, happily eating. Yet, she kept subtly sensing her surroundings, suddenly revealing undisguised astonishment. "This world is composed of nine spaces, and it actually has three completely different time flow rates?"

This was incredible, transcending her understanding and world view.

"This is a fragmented world, pieced together from higher and lower format fragments of different levels," Xu Zhi explained while eating, unconcerned about his image and having no intention of concealing anything, as such advanced technological analysis and high-tier gods couldn't be kept in the dark. "At your level, you must have tried to accelerate time, too, haven't you?"

"Yes," Caroline confirmed. She had also tried to accelerate her neural reflexes and various reactions, but could no longer improve them because Xu Zhi had initially set the highest flow rate, making further acceleration impossible.

"We are the highest-tier world, naturally possessing a tremendous advantage, while the myriad other worlds, endless and infinite, naturally contain various lower-tier worlds," Xu Zhi explained. This was true; the Zerg Sub-brain had told him this was the primary distinction of higher civilizations.

Caroline's eyes sparked with brilliance. "Does that mean the difference in time flow is what distinguishes the various worlds?"

"Yes."

Xu Zhi nodded.

"That's incredibly interesting! Is this the true nature of the world?" Caroline was delighted, adorably sipping her soy milk with her head bowed, silently sensing the entire world. Suddenly, she also sensed the Underworld.

A black and white interwoven wheel was emitting a terrifying aura.

It was the terrifying mechanical armor that had appeared back then, suspected to be the remains of a Ninth-Tier being.

"What is this?"

Her brow twitched.

"Analyzing!""Establishing module!""Performing ultra-fast linked computation!"

Streams of massive data poured frantically into her brain.

She suddenly jolted, as if struck by a belated realization, her body trembling as she looked at the pedestrians around her. "This is another method akin to the Grim Reaper's eternal life... immortality?"

"Yes."
