Chapter 490: Miracle

"So, this day has finally come?"

Miraci slowly climbed to a high point, releasing the God of Beautiful Dreams. As everyone’s gaze fixed on him, he slowly revealed a morbid, unsettling smile.

"My children, you have finally reached this day.... People of Cad Town! Do you know how these special, terrifying... half-human, half-evil god creatures came to be?"

The entire community fell silent instantly.

Since the outbreak in Cad Town, no one knew why such evil gods could be born from the human heart.... Even the dozen or so individuals who had cultivated these entities didn't understand why they had manifested out of thin air!

Furthermore, they had secretly researched themselves and discovered that the evil gods they possessed were all unique, entirely new entities never before documented by major churches.

"You are... Miraci?" The killer, Adrian, frowned, seemingly recognizing him.

"Heh heh heh... Adrian, the uncle who's the community guard? You're doing well, aren't you?" Miraci chuckled strangely, then turned to look at the other dozen or so people, all of whom he was incredibly familiar with, even seeing them daily. "Breakfast shop auntie? PE teacher? You all still remember me, right?"

The expressions of these dozen or so people subtly changed as they exchanged glances.

Only at this moment did they realize a common characteristic: they all knew Miraci!

Could it be that the evil gods manifesting within them were connected to this high school student?

Miraci, however, smiled slightly and declared loudly, "You know how the evil gods inside you came to be, don't you? Your evil gods were born from me and other evil gods."

Born?

Silence fell upon the surroundings.

Even the dozen or so individuals' expressions shifted slightly.

How could humans... with evil gods?

That was even more taboo than a love between half-orcs, humans, and orcs.

"Exactly! I'll tell you how they came to be, because I am different from you."

Miraci burst into uninhibited laughter, gazing deeply at the few individuals.

"Me? I absolutely love evil gods!... Heh heh... How should I put it, it's a bit vulgar to say... but when I saw them, I actually... became aroused. I think they're so beautiful! So cute! Their soft tentacles, eight eyes, bodies like octopuses. If humans were to have intimate interactions with them, would new, special evil gods be born? Would they be entirely new species?

...Me? I research every day! Me? I research with great effort every day! After school, I'd go to the bookstore to read those books. Then I discovered that my daily obsession actually gave birth to an evil god... my own evil god.... And then I was completely happy." As he spoke, a blissful smile spread across his lips; he was overjoyed.

Everyone around was utterly stunned.

How could evil gods be born from the heart of an individual human?

Unless that person's obsession and intensity reached an inconceivable level!

A sense of horror began to spread among the crowd.

Was this the first anomaly in the history of evil gods? A mere mortal, exhibiting such feelings towards those eternally existing evil gods...

Miraci let out a morbid, insane laugh. "I started using my evil god to relentlessly pursue other evil gods—in the shadows of streets, in graveyards, in cemeteries. Their inherent powers meant they wouldn't resist me.... Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat of the Woods with a thousand young and eight tentacles, was always very shy during the process. Azathoth, the Blind Idiot God, had the cutest reactions, constantly wiggling and giggling foolishly. Venaki, the Delusional Witch who controls whipping and beating, always used her whip; it was particularly interesting.... Every evil god reacted differently, and I found myself utterly captivated. It's really not my fault for doing such things!"

This explosive confession utterly silenced the crowd.

Disgust, fear, disbelief, inconceivability, nausea... Everyone was aghast at the situation in Cad Town. So, the half-human, half-evil god hybrids appearing in the town were, in fact....

A teenager who pursued evil gods?

Footsteps echoed!

Not far away, Sia and her group, unable to resist their concern for his safety, had also come closer. Upon hearing this profoundly shocking statement and the truth, they were completely dumbfounded.

"Goodbye, Sia, my secret love..."

His expression flickered, revealing an almost imperceptible bitterness. He had originally wanted them to leave, but they had come anyway.

He continued to stand at the high point, shouting, "As I pursued evil gods on the street, I wondered: could the thoughts I communicated give rise to new life? Could the human brain be a breeding ground for evil gods? So, I casually tossed the offspring of myself and the Blind Idiot God into the brain of Adrian, the community guard, and I never expected...."

He chuckled, looking at Adrian, the leader of the group.

Adrian's stomach churned, and a profound disgust flared within him. He had never imagined that the evil god he cherished as a treasure was filled with such repulsive, twisted, filthy liquid, and that it had been casually thrown into his own brain....

"I sense your fear."

Miraci's face was alight with excitement. "Then, one morning, I caught an evil god in an alleyway, and on my way to school, I tossed it into the breakfast shop auntie's brain...." He pursed his lips, his eyes gleaming with memory and exhilaration, a deep, morbid, and twisted look upon his face. "It's worth mentioning," he added, "it was a beautiful morning."

The auntie immediately bent over, retching violently.

He then proceeded to list them off, one by one, like cherished possessions.
