Everyone sitting in front of their computers had a strange look on their faces.
They had initially thought this casual Food World was simply a place made up of edible creatures and plants, where players could cook, relax, and gather for meals, enjoying themselves and unwinding after the recent battle.
It turned out it wasn't that simple?
That world seemed to contain mysterious wonders—Gourmet Cells? What did "creating new life" even mean?
And what about this gourmet screenshot??
Everyone's eyes widened, and they waited eagerly for the three players to continue.
The player who had created the glowing dish, who appeared to be female, then began to explain seriously:
"To explore that world, we definitely need to work together. This is a dungeon raid involving nearly nine thousand people from three servers and three guilds! First, I'd like to report to all the decision-makers from the different servers! During the three hours my character was under my control, I confirmed one thing: in the Food World, special things happen when you create a gourmet dish!"
This female player, known as "Sirin Looking for Beibeilong," seemed to be a seasoned MMORPG player. She spoke very logically and understood the situation well, appearing highly reliable.
However, the others were still confused. "You said making gourmet food causes a reaction? Why didn't anything happen when others made food?"
The female player chuckled, "You guys, you stinky otaku brothers! Do you really know how to cook? Are you sure what they made was actually 'gourmet' food?"
Everyone was stunned.
"Silence! Shameless old scoundrel!"
They felt a barrage of critical hits, heartbroken, and quickly explained that they usually lived alone and, though they mostly ordered takeout, they occasionally cooked for themselves.
This was normal for many people and not an exaggeration.
The female player explained, "I might not be as good as you at gaming, but when it comes to daily life and cooking, you definitely can't compare to me. In real life, we have kitchens, all sorts of ready-made seasonings, and meat that's already butchered for us. Anyone who regularly cooks for themselves won't do too badly. But what about a purely wild environment? Are you sure you genuinely know how to cook?"
Everyone realized she had a point and didn't deny it.
Taking a deep breath, they admitted the girl was right!
In the Food World, there was no salt, no various seasonings; everything was completely natural. Furthermore, without expertise, it was impossible to discern which parts of the ingredients were delicious and which were unpalatable.
For example, if a gourmet plant there was like a potato, with its edible part in the root, but you picked its leaves to cook, the outcome would naturally be self-evident.
Without salt or various seasonings, it was no surprise that ordinary people would end up making "dark cuisine" when trying to cook.
Suddenly, everyone was in tears again!
This game was incredibly realistic; even cooking was so demanding. Did life skill players truly need to master real-life skills?
At this point, the female player stated:
"What they made was pig slop! That's why nothing happened. While I'm a homebody and love gaming, in real life, I'm also a foodie who often cooks and researches culinary techniques. So, I took two other otaku, and together we spent three hours there making a 'Plain Grilled Pork Loin'! And then, that dish began to shine!"
A screenshot appeared!
A dish was glowing brightly.
On the screenshot, there was a neat line of text: "A dish that doesn't glow isn't a good dish."
"The three of us gathered around the campfire and ate it. It tasted incredibly good. Then, something strange happened: the dish started glowing, and some spore cells appeared on it. Using the dish as a breeding ground, like bacteria in a petri dish, the spores multiplied rapidly. Eventually, a special life form was born on the dish!"
Another screenshot was posted.
On the grey stone plate where the dish had been, the food was gone, replaced by what appeared to be a slime-sized, gooey creature. It looked quite endearing and clumsy, yet also a bit odd.
"Whoa, it's so cute and goofy!"
"This gourmet creature must taste good!"
"Make gourmet food, and Gourmet Cells appear on it? Giving birth to life?"
"What kind of world-building is this?"
The guild decision-makers from the three servers began discussing, finding it utterly unbelievable.
They had been enemies before, but turning rivals into allies was common. Veteran MMORPG guild leaders knew this was true not just in real life, but also between guilds, where alliances formed out of mutual benefit.
The Food World was a higher-level world belonging to the Wizard World, much like the Spore Evolution Sandbox, where the higher world was the Myriad Worlds.
For the future of the Wizard community, they had to take this seriously.
However, the subsequent explanation completely shattered their worldview.
Because that player said she had now become the slime monster born from that gourmet dish!
Another screenshot was displayed, showing the slime monster making a V-sign.
She then added, "I finally understand the rules of the Food World. As long as we create gourmet dishes in there, Gourmet Cells will be born on them, evolving into life! Then we'll detach from the server and become that gourmet life form!
"It sounds simple, but the replayability is explosive!
"Aren't we all a different kind of creator? It's a sandbox game with infinite possibilities!
"Our main server characters can be detached.
"It's not hard to imagine that in the future, we'll each make gourmet dishes, detach from our Tier 4 wizard characters, and become individual gourmet life forms."
