Chapter 219: Heavenly Immortals in the Sky

He gazed at the sun and was suddenly seized by an incredibly audacious ambition: to replace it!

"Since there's a sun and stars, what about the moon?" He paused for a moment, looking around, trying to find a moon in this entire universe to show Ruyun his previous form, but he couldn't find one anywhere.

"Perhaps the moon isn't here."

He fell silent for a while, abandoning the idea of showing the moon to Ruyun, as she was already in a deep slumber, and waking her would be incredibly troublesome.

This world was vast, and the starry sky had a peculiar structure; immense stars floated in the void, and the sheer size of even a distant one filled him with despair.

He composed himself again, watching the scattered debris drift in the dark vacuum, and refocused on the sun. Standing silently in the void with his hands behind his back, he thought, "This sun is terrifying, yet the leaping flames move so slowly, almost as if they're still."

The acceleration of cell division in his body was terrifying, with one day equating to a hundred years.

It was like a sandbox world; to him, the entire universe was almost static. The fiercely burning sun barely moved, and even meteorites, normally flying at terrifying speeds, crawled slowly forward in his perception.

Regardless, he had to move away from this sun and head outwards.

He clearly understood that his ambition was currently impossible to achieve; that terrifying sun, even from such a distance, made him feel feverish all over. Approaching it was out of the question; moving outwards was his only option.

"I must explore outwards, away from the sun."

He then shifted his gaze to his inner world and his expression suddenly changed drastically!

The aquatic plants within his inner space had suddenly become murky, as if they were splitting into strange spores and sprouts, transforming into primordial life units, evolving at an astonishing rate.

Genesis!!

A single word flashed through his mind.

This was a vague image from the moment the Dao Lord created the world; he vaguely recalled how life in that era had evolved and reproduced at an incredible pace.

"But why is this happening to me?"

His composure completely shattered, and he felt a chilling sensation.

He suddenly remembered the woodcutter saint who had sent him into Guixu, and the Dao Lord's excessive reverence for him. This brought to mind an ancient record from the "Ancient Gods" scroll, which he had helped the Dao Lord transcribe when he had inquired about the history of creation:

"In the primordial darkness, heaven and earth were chaotic like a chicken's egg. The Yang God was born within the egg, endured seven primordial calamities, and was commanded to descend upon this world to open it. With a furious roar, he separated heaven and earth, blazing in the sky and burning the ground. The sky rose one zhang higher each day, and the earth thickened by one zhang each day, thus the world was opened."

"Commanded to descend upon this world to open it."

His mind was suddenly jolted, and he seemed to understand something.

Back then, when he asked the Dao Lord who had commanded him to create heaven and earth, the Dao Lord had evaded the question. Now, perhaps, that mystery finally had an answer.

"What kind of ancient existence is that Primordial Saint, truly? They are likely beyond the Saints by an entire epoch, spanning 129,600 great worlds, enduring epochal calamities. This world is too vast, with too many terrifying secrets." After entering Guixu, his Dao Heart finally trembled violently at this moment. Seeing the true sun and this terrifying phenomenon of creation shattered all his previous pride instantly.

He had once been arrogant.

Only now, after truly witnessing the terrifying beings at the pinnacle, did he feel his own insignificance.

He couldn't even imagine how that woodcutter saint managed to control the plants in his inner world, returning life to its primordial state, to the very beginning of life, and re-evolving it. Such a Daoist technique was simply inconceivable.

Nevertheless, the woodcutter saint bore him no ill will; in fact, he had provided him with an unparalleled opportunity. "Genesis" had appeared within his Nine Heavens, evolving an entire world of life!

"Since this is the case, I shouldn't rush to fly outwards. My inner world is undergoing Genesis, so I must find more resources: soil and water. There simply isn't enough right now!" His figure was tall and imposing, and he glanced around.

Ultimately, he chose to fly outwards towards the star-sea with the most stars.

Whoosh!

Half a month later, he arrived before a slowly drifting black meteorite.

"I can't find water, but I can shatter this small star to get some soil first."

Every object in Guixu was unbelievably large.

Though called "small," this star was actually enormous; this single small star alone was comparable to half of the Celestial Realm, covering an area of over thirty acres, making his own body insignificant in comparison.

"I'll have to use my Pangu Golden Body!"

Boom, boom, boom!

His body grew taller inch by inch, expanding against the wind.

The vast number of beings within his Nine Heavens blessed him, and the primordial spirits of his nine Heavenly Emperor clones provided immense energy. In that instant, his Pangu Golden Body grew step by step to two meters, five meters, ten meters...

His body became gigantic, his Pangu true form still enveloped in a green ancient Daoist robe, elegant and handsome, fully displaying the imposing demeanor of a legendary Heavenly Emperor.

At his level, clothing would inevitably be torn during battle. Thus, Heavenly Emperors like him had long possessed protective divine abilities that allowed them to manifest as clothing, serving as one of their most crucial defensive powers in combat.

Originally, his Daluo Scripture alone allowed him to fight Dao Changsheng; now, with the Pangu Golden Body, his combat power surged unimaginably. Even if Dao Changsheng were before him now, he would be beaten to death with a single strike!

Moreover, he had now broken through, and with a Primordial Saint within him, his full power would be terrifying.

He extended a hand.

A terrifying light erupted, easily shattering the drifting meteorite.

He calmly watched the giant fragments explode before him, chuckling, "As expected of a small star. Most of it is the 'metal' the Dao Lord used to create stars back then, with only a small amount of soil that can be stored in my inner world. Huh, there's even water!"

He paused slightly, looking at the meteorite.

In reality, water naturally exists in space, even in small quantities within meteorites and comets.

"Water is incredibly hard to come by in this Guixu! But since these small stars contain water, shattering more of them will allow me to accumulate it bit by bit." He made his decision instantly.

"Shatter more small stars."

He strode forward with his enormous Pangu body, stepping through the void.

He continuously moved away from the sun, traveling in the opposite direction for several months, shattering drifting meteorites one by one to extract their soil and extremely scarce water.

On Earth, night had fallen.

In the bustling cities at this time, traffic flowed like water.

People were still online, chatting, at bars, or in milk tea shops. Many young men and women, couples and lovers, were talking, and the hottest topic was the groundbreaking realistic game "Spore Evolution." Passionate players discussed the latest game plot developments, as the background world had entered the tragic epic story of "Dao Heavenly Emperor's Harmonization with Dao."

They were deeply moved by the characters and stories within.

They also felt a profound sense of historical progression, where time was merciless, and everything was crushed by history.

Besides the common activities of browsing the internet and playing on phones, there were also astronomy enthusiasts who longed for the vast universe. They often chose a high vantage point with an unobstructed view, set up their astronomical telescopes, and looked into outer space, hoping to see Altair and Vega.

"What's that?"

On the second-floor balcony of a suburban villa, a young man with an astronomical telescope suddenly shivered.

It was a spot he frequently observed, and the small meteorites floating in that area had progressively vanished, creating a true vacuum.

"That's strange. Is it some rare natural phenomenon?" He looked closely, adjusting the magnification. His equipment, purchased for over 200,000, offered top-tier clarity.

Crack!

Meteorites shattered one by one.

He was stunned for a moment, then pulled up the telescope's recording, slowing it down frame by frame. In one frame, he saw a blurry figure flash by at an incredibly high speed, and then the meteorite exploded.

"Holy cow!"

He widened his eyes.

"What the hell!? A cosmic ghost?"

Crack!

He continued watching, and only a dozen seconds later, another small meteorite, quite a distance away, instantly exploded.

Excited, he quickly recorded it, but it was too fast. This time he couldn't capture the figure; the previous capture was likely due to the figure lingering momentarily. Now, he couldn't perceive its speed, only see small meteorites continuously shattering.

He quickly went online and posted, "I found aliens!"

As soon as he logged on, he realized the topic was already trending online.

Someone had noticed it even earlier than him. They had already started posting from the moment the first meteorite shattered, claiming there were immortals in the sky tonight!

However, this person hadn't captured any human figures, but the shattered meteorites were indeed recorded.

"Everyone, no time to explain! Only a little over ten minutes have passed, and this is already the eleventh meteorite to shatter. Each one is incredibly far apart, and an unidentified humanoid creature is shattering them at an unimaginable speed!"

"I saw it too!"

"I have screenshots as proof!"

At this point, everyone was in an uproar. An alien event?

Just as the debate escalated, someone else couldn't help but speak up: "Everyone, foreign countries have noticed too! I just checked international forums and found that some wealthy foreigners, who own mines, used their private observatories and large astronomical telescopes to capture clear footage!"

Screenshot attached.

The young man quickly clicked on it, realizing the poster's excitement was contagious. The screenshot was indeed clearer than his own; while he had only captured a blurry greenish shadow, this one vaguely showed a humanoid figure, seemingly in ancient attire.

The poster was more excited than anyone: "On Earth, there might be reclusive cultivators in outer space, extracting meteorites, refining spirit treasures, and preparing to ascend!"
