Chapter 135: For All Beings Open the Divine Path

Moonlight bathed the earth.

On the edge of the cliff, Emelie flapped her grey-black wings behind her, stretching her long, shapely legs. She sat on the cliff's edge, swinging her feet, her toes barely touching the air as if a dragonfly dipping into water. Her pale feet had unusually sharp nails, possessing an exotic beauty.

A faint smile appeared on Emelie's face.

"Someone once told us mages that since our world is barren and the gods' realm of 'Achilles' in the heavens remains closed, we mortals on earth don't need to rely on the gods. We can create our own divine realm for mortals..."

Why rely on the gods above?Obedience makes mortals; defiance makes gods!We were born into this world to open the gates of divinity for it!Since the divine bridge is broken, we shall restore the path to godhood for all beings in this age!Since gods have no abode, we shall establish a divine realm for future generations!

That arrogantly boisterous voice, full of youthful grandiosity, still echoed in her ears.

As expected of the Blind Idiot God, he was indeed too foolish.

That idea was absurd; even she found it preposterous. Foolish, ridiculous, impractical—yet the more they thought of it, the more a burning fire ignited in everyone's eyes, as if harboring a strong anticipation.

"The evil gods from other worlds, having been baptized by their own civilizations, hold no reverence for deities. They constantly speak of defying heaven and gods... In fact, the evil gods themselves are gods and and fear no heavenly deities. They truly showed us an audacious path... We really should try it."

Above the dark night sky, the entire cliff was silent. A gentle breeze swept through, and the moon hung in the sky.

A shadowy figure, holding a sword, had long been hidden in the darkness, unnoticed.

"Teacher..." Pandora's voice began to choke.

"Come," Emelie said calmly, gazing unmoving at the sky. "I've been waiting for you for a long time. Begin."

*Thud!*

A sword suddenly plunged deep into Emelie's chest.

Blood bloomed in macabre beauty, like flowers before dawn.

Emelie slowly collapsed into a pool of blood, her vision gradually blurring.

"There's no fear. It seems I've been waiting for death all along..."

Her gaze seemed to pierce through the cloud-wreathed moonlight, vaguely seeing the years when she rebelled against the Alchemist Emperor in his twilight. A profound inner peace, unlike any she had known, settled within her. "To be honest, these past years, barely living in prison and then rushing about with you after my release... what was I even struggling for? No goal, no dream..."

Suddenly, a tall, majestic man, like a god, appeared before her eyes—the lifelong obsession she had pursued, a futile attempt to surpass the unsurpassable.

She paused, then smiled faintly.

"Perhaps, the moment I heard of the Alchemist Emperor's death, my heart had already died..."

Gentle moonlight slowly poured down. Emelie was wholly consumed by the demon sword, and the mightiest emperor in the history of the half-orc kingdom, the first half-orc demigod, finally died on an unknown cliff.

Above the Witch Federation Nation.

*Boom.*

A black meteor streaked forth, its demigod aura erupting completely, rumbling like a raging meteorite, leaving a long, slender comet tail. It hovered above the entire sky of the Cthulhu Evil God.

Charlotte, holding Pandora, slowly gazed down at everything.

The sky was dark, a single moon hanging low. The immense, vast Cthulhu Evil God still blotted out the heavens, sitting motionless upon its mountain throne, while countless mages stared blankly at the scene.

"Who is that?"

*Flash!*

A dazzling, dark red light emerged, blindingly bright, illuminating the entire sky above Cthulhu's capital.

"Thirty Days of Eternal Night!"

Charlotte swung her longsword fiercely downwards. A brilliant Eye of Eternal Night burst forth amidst the dark red, a terrifying psychic force erupting and pervading the entire Cthulhu capital.

Caught off guard, many mages from the evil god cults succumbed to the psychic magic, drifting into death in their sleep.

"Charlotte...." The Cthulhu Evil God abruptly looked up, turning its gaze towards the source of the bloody light. "My mage subjects, hide in the spatial magic boxes of Victoria University."

"Run!""Flee!""It's Charlotte, the remnant of the three kingdoms!"

Immediately, the Cthulhu Evil God's massive body stirred into chaos. Countless mages cried out, a dense mass of them pushing and shoving, frantically rushing towards Victoria University on its arm.

"Evil cults who submitted to the evil god, you people are not worthy of being human..." Charlotte gave a chilling smile, revealing the cruel demeanor of the former Rose Salvation Society.

*Boom!*

A vast expanse of light flashed, and the entire body of the Cthulhu Evil God trembled. Under the terrifying power of Charlotte, a demigod, a great number of mages perished.

"Damn you, Charlotte...." The Cthulhu Evil God felt a slight surge of anger.

But now, he could only allow Charlotte to slaughter his subjects on his body.

Most of his power was focused on suppressing his "Unspeakable Dread." If he unleashed his strength to retaliate, the Unspeakable Dread would instantly kill all the citizens in the capital, leaving no survivors.

After a moment, most of the citizens had been evacuated. Charlotte had slaughtered more than half of those remaining, and the Pandora longsword in her hand grew increasingly crimson, imbued with terrifying resentment.

"Charlotte..."

The Cthulhu Evil God slowly began to awaken, finally releasing its full power.

The "Unspeakable Dread" had awakened!

The world instantly grew somber. Countless dark clouds gathered, growing thicker and blacker, enveloping the massive body of the Cthulhu Evil God.

The entire evil god began to tremble slowly. The earth quivered and pulsed rapidly. On the evil god's skin, strange, blood-red tendrils sprouted, like a dense forest of countless arms, pulsating with an eerie dark breath.

In the distance, on the ground, lay the affiliated cities on the outskirts of Cthulhu's capital, where countless mage families and ordinary civilians lived.

On the streets, all ordinary people looked up, gazing at the forest of arms piercing the clouds in the sky.

*Rumble!*

The colossal evil god stood up. This six-thousand-zhang giant, reaching Xu Zhi's waist, instantly caused the earth to crumble. The mountain-formed throne collapsed with a crash, a scene akin to the end of the world.

On the Cthulhu Evil God's body, the few mages who hadn't escaped in time, or those already killed by Charlotte, turned into a rain of blood and flesh, splattering onto the people in the ground cities, sticky and reeking of blood.

"Ah!!!"

Countless people screamed, looking up.

"Don't look!!!"

Someone roared with a heart-wrenching cry.

But some couldn't help but look up. The Cthulhu Evil God's body was unspeakable. They immediately clutched their heads, descending into madness, wailing and sobbing. Within seconds, blood poured from their orifices, and they died.

"Gods cannot be looked upon directly!"

A witch shrieked horribly. Extreme fear caused snot and tears to stream down her face as her screams tore through the night sky. "Don't look up! Run with your heads down! The great Lord of the World has awakened! Run!"

"Run!""I don't want to die!!"

Instantly, countless desperate, frenzied wails erupted, and fleeing crowds filled every direction.

Meanwhile, on a street in the city, at a small stall selling jewelry and ornaments.

A delicate blonde girl, holding a thick black book, was looking at some jewelry. "Is this earring pretty?"

Over the years, only a small portion of Pandora's Box had been used for spatial alchemy practice. Most of the magic boxes had been repurposed as metal substitutes, fashioned into various tools, including jewelry.

"Are you insane?! Run!" The stall owner, a middle-aged man, immediately abandoned all his jewelry and frantically pushed into the fleeing crowd.

"Linda, you should run too. Don't look directly at the evil god."

The book in the girl's hand suddenly whispered, "As long as you don't look directly at its body... The Cthulhu Evil God won't make a sound, to avoid killing its own subjects."

"I understand," Linda said with a gentle smile.

She was as gentle as ever, unwilling to add any burden, but a sense of unease echoed within her. "You must come back alive."

"It'll be fine, I will," the black book responded with a touch of tenderness. "I will take the place of our Church of Light's chronicler and record this historic final moment of the wizarding world!... I carry the hopes of the remaining three, and I will convey messages to their departed souls."

Linda suddenly smiled, her beautiful face breathtaking. She whispered, "I'm remembering our first meeting again. Back then, you spoke such strange words. I truly miss those interesting times. Can you tell me some of those vulgar, uninhibited words again?"

The black book paused for a moment, then smiled and recited, phrase by phrase, as if lamenting the old times.

"Beautiful lady, shall we meet?"

*Splatter.*

A rain of blood and flesh splattered across the earth, landing on her face.

"Pretty girl, please gently stroke my body, please write on me."

Amidst the frenzied shouts and despair of passersby, this voice was almost inaudible, yet Linda continued to listen, taking small steps forward.

"Then, may I have the honor of being made into animal hide clothing by you, to be worn on your body?"

Linda gently hugged the black book, smiling, as if completely recalling the humorous scenes from the study back then.

"Please carefully lick every page of me, and kiss my lips." Before the words fully faded...

"Okay."

Amidst the chaotic rain of blood, the blonde girl gently lowered her head, her rosy face soft with tenderness, and her pink lips slowly pressed against the pages of the book. For a moment, her beauty was beyond compare.

"You..." He stared, stunned, at the scene.

As the girl's lips touched, glistening tears simultaneously fell onto the pages, landing on him, making him instinctively...
